The view were beautiful from our deluxe cottage. It was so peaceful and quiet. It was easy to get a longboat for a day oit on the water. Shopping was limited and the food everywhere on this part of the island was a bit tasteless. We were looking forward to the spicy and flavorful food we have come to love in Thailand. But the staff was super friwndly and helpful! They made it worth it.

Wouldn’t go back.

Internet doesn’t work. They lied about why, blaming the government. Everywhere else seems to have perfectly fine WiFi. Used all of our data instead on, on work stuff. 10 minute up hill walk from check in to room. Then 10 minute walk back down to access beach, restaurant, bars etc. they think this is acceptable because there is a shuttle ever 20 minutes (it’s not regular at all). The advert in hotels.com is nothing like the actual stay, rooms aren’t anywhere near as nice as we assumed through the advert. Beds were rock solid. Breakfast bar wasn’t fun, huge queues for coffee machine which didn’t work in the end. Huge queue for any quality food, ie one omelette chef with one pan for hundreds of people. Fried eggs are available for 5 minutes then it takes 10 minutes for them to be refilled. They only sell small bottles of water at a high rate. Male staff were acceptionally rude. Essentially we were left to feel like cattle being herded and we were just a cash machine. Expected much better quality with the price tag.

A wonderful warm welcome was given upon our arrival, and we were processed through check-in very quickly and efficiently. As the resort is spread over a large area, and might I add, beautiful gardens, you are taken to your room via a golf cart, which was great. The rooms are immaculately clean, and towels and bedding are changed daily, although I think this is unnecessary. The breakfast included is OK but by no means amazing. Overall, I've been very happy with our stay here and would definitely return. It's not a 5 star resort and the good value price reflects that. Oh, and you get a plate of fresh fruit delivered to your room daily. Definitely recommend

Inconvenient Location to Experience the Island

While the location is nice once you make it to the hotel, it is very hard to reach or leave without taking a shuttle at a couple pre-scheduled intervals. Otherwise, you have to take a private boat shuttle at great (relatively) expense. I spent almost as much getting to and from there as the cost of the room. If you are looking to get away from it all and see relatively few other tourists, maybe this is your spot.

expectedly overpriced

The Bad 1. This is far off from everything, you need to get a private long tail or work with the scheduled ferry (300thb/one-way). 2. Standard rooms, wow, what a ripoff. Standard is an overstatement at this price. And expect a 15min walk unless you wait for the complementary truck to drive you.. 3. Dinner and lunch averages around 250-350 per dish. 4. Hotel doesn’t collaborate with any ferry’s leaving phi phi, solve it yourself :) 5. This place is huge and under utilised, feels like a ghost resort. And this was during Dec/Jan The good 1. Good day trips and activities that are not on the island… 2. Diving school next to the resort is good 3. Breakfast is “ok” 4. Beach and water is nice 5. Few restaurants further down the beach with more reasonable prices. If you feel 350/person is reasonable. Sans alcohol. Summary, wouldn’t stay here or recommend it to anyone.

The Natural Resort is a welcomed step back into a time when the service and hospitality combination was a mainstay. The expansive resort is located on Phi Phi’s most northern tip and is far away from the party crowds. The resort replicates a fifteenth century Japanese fiefdom and the architects and engineers have created something to behold regarding their execution. From the expertly landscaped vistas to the rolling pathways, every angle of the resort is designed to please the eye; and every operational system is seamlessly blended; point of view presentation and aesthetics are paramount. The resort models its rate selections to represent the guest’ chosen class within the village. Spend the extra investment and treat yourself, you deserve the attention – right? You’ll understand immediately how the extra investment returns its dividends. My wife and I focus on several key indicators: Maintenance and upkeep; cleanliness; service and attentiveness; and does the resort excel at it defined purpose. The Natural performs brilliantly on all fronts. My wife and I stayed here for twelve days and loved the experience. She remarked: She will miss this resort as we move on to our next destination. We operate businesses that thrive and depend on customer satisfaction. We like to believe we recognize a wining model when it presents. As mentioned earlier, if you are on the fence, just do it. When you are immersed within your decision, you will smile – trust us.

The check in of this location was very easy and the staff was extremely friendly throughout our entire stay. They provided a shuttle to our room and helped us with our luggage; they also explained the layout of the resort. Overall, the room was clean but there were little bugs on the bed and we had a family of geckos in our bathroom. Obviously, this is a nature resort so animals are expected but we were not fans of either. Also, there are no shops to buy snacks nearby so you have to purchase the snacks from the mini bar because everything is on the main pier and you can only get there via boat. Due to not having an ATM nearby the resort allowed us to charge our massages to the room which was very convenient. Another negative aspect is that the beach location of the resort was very small.

Read :)

Its very far from everything. You have to take a 35 min ride on a boat, the hotel provides a discounted rate for guests. If you dont like to walk or if you cant walk uphill, this is not for you. The hotel helps you with your bags when you get there and when you leave, but for everything else, get ready to walk up and down, its a kind of cabañas connected with roads set up (beautifull set up). When you get there, basically you stay there. There is a few restaurants with good food and one convinience store. You can only enjoy the beach before 2pm, after that, forget about it, the tide takes the sea away and you only are going to able to get your tip toes wet, so, because all the tours are in the morning, maybe you are going to be able to enjoy the beach if you dont go to any. Food and drinks are kind of expensive. I can say drinks are more expensive, like double more. Over all, the hotel set up was beautiful, the staff was very helpfull, the guy selling the tours next to the front desk speaks spanish!!! (Personally I was impressed so I have to mention it) food was very good.

My expectations were high because of very high price, four stars and impression by net info, however when we were shown our "regular"rooms, it was apartment rooms in an apartment building farthest away from the water. Terrible. Couldn't even see the sea. Reception, restaurants and breakfast close to/by the water. As with many places I´ve seen, they seem old, worn down, not well taken care of. big plastic tubes on the beach from "machine" buildings.

First time to Koh Phi Phi

Getting to the hotel wasn't that easy. Once we landed at the pier from Phuket, it was up to us to find a taxi boat. The hotel did not have any kind of service to get us there and plenty of taxis were trying to upcharge us. The actual stay and food was good for the breakfast and surrounding restaurants. The night view while eating dinner on the beach was really nice. We went kayaking and the beach was absolutely gorgeous during the day. The only other gripe I have was the cleanliness of the room. There were little bugs running around the sink.

Far from anything

We stayed at this hotel for three nights. We did not know that there was a ferry that we could take to the hotel that cost 200 baht. We ended up hiring a boat to take us to the hotel and it cost 1200 baht. The first room we were put in was infested with ants including the bed. We told the staff. They came and sprayed our room and there was still ants in our bed and in the room. They moved us to another room in the same building. This room was also infested with ants including the bed. We asked to a refund and wanted to change hotels. They refused and they also refused to upgrade our room. We contacted Expedia and Expedia advocated for us. We ended up get moved to a upgraded room. This room didn’t have ants but the beds are rock hard. They are harder than the average Thai bed and the pillows are also rock hard. There was a sewer smell coming from the bathroom. The rooms were very run down. The air conditioning works well. The private beach advertised is all rocks and you are unable to lay on it. The other beach has boats coming and going all the time. There are also Tractors going up and down it all day and there is broken beer bottles scattered all along the beach. The food is very expensive on this side. Also if you want to go to town you either have to wait to go on the ferry which stops at 530 or pay for a boat which is around 900 baht one way. The ferry also does not run very often and it takes an hour to get to town. Overall we would not stay at this resort again.

Deceiving photos, rundown facility, rocky beach

The photos of the room unfortunately don't match the reality. The pictures convey a rustic, charming hotel. The reality is that the rooms are a lot more bare and basic. Our mattress was horrible. I've dealt with rock-hard mattresses in other hotels, but that wasn't even the case here. The mattress felt like it was literally made out of cheap wood or cardboard, with not even a semblance of padding of cushion on it. Luckily we were only staying for one night. The bathroom was okay, the shower was very small with one sad little shelf that can hold just a bar of soap. Eventually, there was a continuous noise and the bathroom started smelling like sewer (maybe from using the shower or using the sink?) which was even more off-putting. The hotel grounds themselves are depressing. Construction sites/what looks like a trash heap on the way to my room, a giant standing 'pond' of still water that's a magnet for mosquitoes, depressing, rundown restaurants (one restaurant had a fish tank that looks like it hasn't been cleaned once in years- cloudy water and lots of green algae). Luckily, the bed came with a mosquito net. The beach is a strip of extremely rocky shores and shallow waters, and a strip further down that's populated by longboats, and more rocky waters. Suffice to so, we didn't see a lot of swimmers and hardly did any swimming ourselves. Just all-around disappointing. The staff were helpful and the breakfast buffet was decent, but it wasn't a very relaxing stay.

Find a better hotel

Like many said.. something wrong with the management and service. Wish I read the reviews before making reservation. Wifi doesn't work any where in the property although they say it works in lobby area. I waited for 5 minutes to join the network that never worked. The solution from them is keep trying. When we arrived at the room, the AC wasn't started. It was extremely hot. Remote seem little complicated to follow. Asked staff to turn on AC, he just turned on just fan and left. We thought AC will start some time. After sometime, I learnt the remote and turned on the AC myself. Food from the restaurant is bad. Soup is cold and seem like they just added curry paste when we asked why the color is different from the picture in menu. We started walking around to find better food, and went to sunset in Holiday Inn. Amazing view, food and experience. Nice service. We were supposed to return to Phuket next day, but extended our stay at Holiday Inn instead (although more expensive than Phi Phi Natural). I don't recommend staying in Phi Phi Natural resort.

One to avoid!

The hotel is situated a ferry ride away from the main port and looks great on the web but when we got there, they explained that our 'Standard Room' was situated 10 mins walk away up a steep hill and to get there, they had a regular shuttle service that ran every half an hour! However, the shuttle only ran until 10pm. The bar also shuts at 10pm and the restaurant even earlier! We were told that there was a private beach and a pool but when we went to investigate the private beach we found that it was very small and strewn with large boulders plus it was covered in empty bottles, fast food wrappers etc washed up on the shore. The swimming pool is very small and again, was very dirty. We told the staff that we were not happy with the situation and to their credit, they straight away agreed to move us to their sister hotel Phi Phi Long Beach Resort just around the coast in Long Beach. It meant that we lost more time travelling the next day bit it was worth it!

Go to Zeavola next door

The hotel was mediocre at best and not worth the $700 we paid for 3 nights. We had many issues with our AC unit and called on staff several times to get it fixed. While they were responsive and came to the room several times, it never got fixed and we changed rooms on our last night. The room we got switched to was much nicer; however the bed was rock hard and very uncomfortable. The food wasn’t good at all. We went to Zeavola resort to eat our remainder meals after having two, overpriced and bad quality meals at our hotel. At the end of the day, you’re paying for the atmosphere of beautiful Phi Phi Islands but if I were you I’d go to a nicer hotel to make it worth your while.

Overall a lovely hotel in a very quiet location. Can be quite difficult to get to as you have to take the ferry as when we went no long tail boats were able to get here due to conditions. Lovely staff and nice welcome. Wifi is good. Lovely hotel ! BUT: Don't change money on Phi Phi!

We've been 6 days on Kho Phi Phi. Phi Phi Natural Resort is definitely more than 2,5 Stars. We stayed in a Bungalow with 3 People and it was big enough for us. The Bungalow was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty. And we loved the Location as it was quiet, not crowded and just beautiful. The only negative Point we have to mention is that a part of the staff was not too friendly, some off them never smiled or didn't even say "hello". Besides you should make sure that you take some Money with you when going to Kho Phi Phi as there are no possibilities to get Money from any bank. And it's better to Change your Money into Bath before going to Khos Phi Phi. In Phuket I changed Euro in Bath for 1€-36,7 Bath, on Kho Phi Phi it was 1 € - 32 Bath!

Terrible hotel manager - advice to avoid

We don't normally write reviews and certainly not if we don't have anything positive to say, but we have felt compelled to warn future patrons of what to expect in the Phi Phi Natural Resort. The hotel itself is basic with expensive poor quality food, warn out rooms with long walks for the majority to reception, which is also the only place you can find wifi signal. This itself wouldn't normally warrant a one star review but the Phi Phi Natural Resort has a manager in the ubiquitous Vincenzo who could poison even the most wonderful experience with his sullen presence. Never has a person so laughably found himself in the wrong profession, with his style of service clearly being based on the Basil Faulty school of hotel management, without any of the residual charm or likability. It would be impossible to list all his miss-deeds but the highlights include his utter refusal to help any of his guests unless it in someway benefits him. In looking for an early morning ferry to the mainland to catch a connecting flight he castigated one of his downtrodden staff for telling us about a ferry that wasn't in partnership with himself, after he had earlier told us there was no way to get off the island in time for our flights. In another example one of the couples we met in the hotel had to move rooms 3 times because of damp and broken facilities, with Vincenzo refusing to help look for a suitable rooms telling the couple that they should wander around the large complex by themselves

Worst hotel experience I've ever had. Staff were rude and unattentive. Failed to make the transfer from pier ferry to hotel. No apology for their error. Had to pay twice to get myself to and from the ferry. A cleaner completely ignored the do not disturb sign on the door and just walked in. Breakfast was disgusting. The room was old and unclean. The shuttle bus service to the room was a farce and never available. Absolutely appalling place.

Really quiet

It's a very nice quiet hotel with lots of green trees and different flowers on its territory. It has lovely views of the ocean and walking to our room (505 in a building) wasn't that long as it was told in the comments we've read before coming. The beach could be better, but as an option you can walk along the shore to a better one. The beds were really hard and we ended up with sleeping on the blanket, not under it :) Be sure you brought some mosquito spray with you as you gonna need it a lot. All in all it was a really pleasant stay and we'd be happy to stay there again.

The stay was nice--they did upgrade our room to a villa and gave us a nice swan setup for our honeymoon. We did have trouble communicating with some of the front desk staff when trying to schedule time in the spa, though the manager was extremely helpful. The food was okay to decent--fortunately, because much to our dismay we were unable to return to the town at night to see the night markets. The front desk guy said they don't take out the long-tail boats at night because of large waves...not sure if that was true, or a method to keep us on the resort. We wish we had known before we booked--if you want a secluded experience, stay here. It is cheap for what you get. If you are island hopping and want to see the town at night, you will have to stay elsewhere.

Helpful and friendly staff. Definitely a place to go if you are looking for a quiet place to stay. Cheaper rooms are quite far but the deluxe cottage was right on the sea and short walk away from the beach.

Excellent resort for remote romantic getaway

This resort deserves way more than 2.5 stars, I'd say 4 stars at least! There is everything you can wish for, very good restaurant right on the beach, a lot of free drinking water in the room, nice pool, massages and free internet (albeit not in the cottages, they are too far for Wifi, but works great around the pool, reception and restaurant area). The cottage we stayed in was very beautiful, with great views and fully renovated modern bathroom. The water pressure and temperature was fine once you figured out the fixture. The beds could be softer but perhaps otherwise they wouldn't have any massage clients! :) Everything was clean and perfectly serviced. We really enjoyed our stay in this little piece of paradise, where you get all the peace and quiet you want. The only caveat is the transportation, from Krabi airport, it took us one cab, two large ships, long tail boat and a tractor to get to the resort, definitely not for handicapped or faint of heart, but it was all worth it!

Average hotel at high end price

First of all, the most important thing about this hotel that they do not tell you when booking is that it is only accessible by boat or ferry. The ferry is cheaper at around 200 baht for a single trip however for a private long tail boat it will set you back 1200 baht for a single trip. The ferry arrives only twice a day. The rooms are adequate however our room seemed somewhat dated, the toilet didn't smell good. The hotel is situated in a secluded area of Koh Phi Phi and there is not a lot to do at night. The hotel's restaurant is very expensive compared to the rest of Thailand however you are paying for the location. There is a great seafood restaurant named Malee Seafood about 500m down the beach which I really recommend. The breakfast selection was great and they also let us eat early at 630 before check out as the ferry leaves at 7am. The pool is average. The beach is beautiful but only a tiny section is allocated to Natural guests and is also very noisy with long tail boats arriving throughout the day. For the money we spent we thought we would get more.

Beautiful location and well priced.

Great stay, but they don't have a good beach setup. The main beach is dominated by the other resort while natural resort has a more secluded, yet beautiful beach that has not been "derocked" and does not have lawn chairs.

Nice resort

The facilities are very nice for this type of resort, on a remote island. The jungle cabins, isolated but accessible, are very interesting. True the bed is very firm and the water pressure and temperature unregular. The food is great and dining wiht you toes in the sand is a won derful experience.

Great for relaxation

We really enjoyed our stay here but have some words for it.. I'll get the cons out of the way first. Cons: - Wifi... Currently, it was limited to just the lobby... And it's pretty slow when there is a lot of users in the lobby - The Lobby... It's a little far from the single rooms... And by far I mean it's about 5 minutes walk down... A pretty steep walk up hill. - Gecko and critters... We had unit 1201... The door didn't seal at the bottom of the door frame creating a small gap for Mosquito, bugs, and in our case a gecko to enter the room... It moved fast and we never did catch it. We called the front desk, they sent a couple guys up... Their solution was to shove a hand towel in there to close up the gap and lay bath towels across the bottom to minimize things coming in. ( I did check the doors to other units on our floor, they seemed to finished properly, I'm convinced they would not have had that problem) - the bed... Hard as a rock... Absolute NO give, bounce or spring to it - the shower... Without getting in you can see gaps in the door that would let water out... And it did... - the security box... Lame! It's light weight and easily portable, and it only opens 2 times a day... 9am and 6pm... That's it! - the 'tour operator' person... Personally, I didn't find him helpful. The first long tail boat excursion we booked thru him... The second day we booked directly with the boat operator and saved a few hundred bhat. There was NO info regarding things to see and do

beach bungalows had a fantastic view of ocean

The staff were fabulous - there were a few issues, and they sorted them out straight away (well - in Thai time straight away). Would definitely go back. We had friends staying in another hotel, but they swapped to ours because it was cheaper AND better. This part of the island is secluded (only 4 hotels), so everything is a little more expensive - washing shirts is about 40 Baht each (as opposed to 40 Baht for a kilo in other parts of the island)

Perfectly peaceful

The peacefulness made it worth it. You have to take a second boat to get from the main phi phi pier to get to the pier on the north of the island where the hotel is located. We thought that it would be crowded for the holidays but there was hardly anyone on the whole beach area around the resort reception and all of its cottages. The cottage we stayed in was a 10 min walk from reception and 2 minutes to a secluded beach area. The condition of the cottage made it look worth about $40 though. The floor was collapsing so there was about an inch or two gap between the floor and the wall so critters could come in.

Great Hotel for a quiet getaway

This hotel was beautiful in a great location for visitors that want to get away from the busy and hectic mainland on Phi Phi Island. The ferry arranged was great it was 200 bahts for one way per person but if you wanted to stay past 5 which was the last one you had to take a night slow boat which was very scary in the dark and 1,500 bahts so if you're not looking to go to Ton Sai area everyday this resort is perfect. The staff was great and very helpful and the beach is beautiful that the resort is one. Overall great hotel.

Had a great stay here

This resort is really nice, the staff was helpful and the rooms were clean. The only thing is if you are looking for a place to get some drinks at night or any night scene at all, I wouldn't stay on this side of the island. Everything closes down after dinner and there is no way to get to the bar scene, unless you previously arranged a long boat driver to bring you and pick you up. If your looking for a secluded quiet beautiful cove of your own then Phi Phi Natural is for you!

Good all rounder

Defo a 3 star hotel. Not sure what people where complaining about. The rooms where clean and tidy and you get breakfast- 3 star room for a 3 star price. It's really cool just to hang out and chill. This hotel is on tonsai bay so you can only get to it by water taxi so take that into consideration. Hotel was was great and there are a few things to do such as climbing and scuba diving vey close by. The area is popular with climbers. There is an awesome little bob Marley themed bar/lounge opposite the hotel. The pool here was decent too. We stayed two nights around Christmas time and towels were not changed or the rooms weren't made up- but again I wasn't expecting more from a 3 star. Well worth the money and would defo visit this hotel again

This is the second time I have stayed at Phi Phi Natural Resort and third time on the island. If you are on a budget but still want experience the island life, this place is for you. A Pretty Good Place

The Phi Phi Natural is a beautiful hotel on a beautiful part of Koh Phi Phi island. Getting there is the hardest part but after that it's everything you thought living on a tropical island would be! We came to accept that the entire island is a tourist trap. Compared with other places in Thailand, you'll be paying a premium for food and drink! However, the staff are friendly and communicate well. They transport your luggage to and from your room which is a great help. There is slow-ish wi-fi in the lobby.

Great Romantic Getaway

If you are after a quiet and relaxing holiday this is just the place. It is a 200 baht per person ferry ride to the hotel from the main pier DO NOT get a longboat unless you are happy to spend too much money. The hotel itself was great, friendly staff, great buffet breakfast and the dinner restaurant food ranged from excellent to pretty average, like anywhere. There was a fire show for our entertainment which was great and in the water below the pool area there was some great snorkelling, we saw about 20 or more types of fish! I would recommend the massamun or something from the restaurant called "Jasmines" up the beach for a change. All in all it was great and good to getaway from the throng of tourists-and for this, this place is great.

Visiting Leamtong Beach

Leamtong beach on phi phi is a beautiful place. Relaxed, friendly, always clear water and clean beach. The resort is really good, large breakfast, and helpful staff. Everything you need are there, except shopping and beach parties. For that you need to take a longboat to Tong Sai, a trip for 20 minutes. And do not miss to rent a longtail boat for a trip out in the ocean, snorkeling, visiting maya bay (the beach), monkey beach, bamboo island and more. 2018 a tripp for 7h cost 1000thb.
