Quiet location on the beach. Fantastic room, which was lovely and clean. Great pool areas, friendly staff and fantastic food. It is very out of the way though and you can't walk to anything apart from great massages on the beach. The hotel did offer shuttles to the town and Fishermans village but we only stayed one night so didn't do it. I would struggle to spend a whole holiday here because of that. The only other thing to note was that there was divers in the top pool which made it a bit difficult to swim in the pool.

What a beautiful place to stay, it is quiet & tranquil. You can either enjoy the beautiful gardens, swim in 1 of the 2 beautiful pools or soak up the sun laying on the shore looking out over the lovely beach with fantastic views. I would definitely stay again. The only negative I would say is that the appliances could do with an update (tv & hair dryer) but this is only a small negative because honestly I had no time to watch tv I was far more preoccupied laying on the sun beds watching the water or walking through the gardens.

The hotel was probably once very nice. However, it was dirty. Pool was dirty and tarnished. Flies everywhere - all over the food and bar area. Staff not particularly helpful - one in particular was fairly rude on our arrival. Couldn't get in to our room on time. A real disappointment.

This is a lovely hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were all helpful and friendly. There is no real beach but you can go down the steps and swim in the sea and you can walk to adjacent beaches. People do start reserving sunbeds early in the morning however we did always manage to get somewhere to sit. There was a good choice of food for breakfast. On checkout, our bill included mini bar items that we had not had. This was raised with reception staff and was quickly resolved. We left very early on the day of departure and we were given a breakfast box to take away which was a nice touch. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The property is right by the water - you will be steps away from the beach, which is what sold it for us. We loved the room and the property, however the property seemed a bit outdated in some areas. The bathroom shower didn't have the best water pressure which frustrated me. The staff were nice but the service at the restaurant/bar was extremely slow and at times left us disappointed. We did enjoy that the hotel offered cheaper shuttles to the different areas in the evening, which helped as the cost to go on your own was a bit pricey. Overall though, it was a bit of a walk from the property to local shops/restaurants so if you want to walk places, we'd recommend somewhere else.

Very nice beach front hotel. The staff made sure you had everything you needed. Close to a small beach. they should treat water dumped in rivers better because it does spoil beaches. Free Shuttle to Chaweng Beah - hotel in quiet location which is nice and use shuttle to Chaweng to go for a swim and shopping. hotel restaurant - drinks very expensive. some dishes are small - my cat would eat more!;-) Hotel Staff friendly and competent. would go there again. PARADISE INDEED

Great hotel with the best staff and great atmosphere. Food excellent and well priced and restaurant overlooking the ocean makes for a great dining experience. A small beach, well cared for and good for swimming. This resort is ideal for the older generation as it is in a very quiet area, but it does have a second pool catering for children. Overall a good resort with only one minor problem, rooms need drawer space instead of shelves that make the room untidy. A definite return will happen if all goes well.

Beautiful, quiet, but far from Central/Chaweng

Everything about this resort (besides the distance from Central) is great! The resort is quiet, private, and small. It's an ideal size for a couples getaway or quiet family trip. From my perspective, it doesn't accommodate more than 200 or 250 people. It is also right on the beach. Even the farthest room is just a 3-minute walk from the beach... Since there's free breakfast, and the resort is so small, you eat while watching the sunrise. It's beautiful. I'll be honest, their food is OK. Breakfast is standard. I wouldn't eat at the resort for dinner -- there are amazing places like bars and restaurants right outside on the main street that are cheaper. Though I can say the resort has a Happy Hour between 5-7pm. Not bad... You can also buy alcohol in the 7-11. The service was very good -- they have English and German speakers! They helped us call taxis and answered questions. One thing I'd improve -- since the resort is so far from Central, have more shuttles!!! They stop around 8pm (returning back to the resort). Taxis back to the resort is ridiculous.

Not vegetarian friendly

When we first arrived we got a veg menu which was a little cheaper. We could never again get this menu, we talked on the manager who seemed concerned but it was actually worse when we went back. We couldn't be eat there. At the buffet I had to ask for white rice and a veg omelet which I ate everyday with fruit. There were no Thai options. It's in a nice secluded area.

Hotel is upscale, very good service. Any items bought within the hotel will be pricy and the hotel is a bit outside, but lovely situated directly next to the sea. It is perfect if you want to have a very relaxed, very quiet time. There were mainly couples and one family. If you are a solo traveller it might be a bit boring and just because of that I didnt give it 5 stars.

We've stayed here twice, and came back because it is a very good hotel. The room was quite nice. Comfy bed, clean shower and bath. The restaurant could use a bit better food, although I guess it was the offseason and a Sunday at that, so maybe the head cook was on his/her day off. The breakfast was quite extensive, as usual. Good job. They put a lot of effort into keeping the grounds looking nice. The staff was wonderful as usual. Highly recommend!

Nice hotel on the beach with a personal touch

Paradise Beach Resort in Maenam, Koh Samui is a real cozy place with a "family hotel" feeling. A breath of fresh air compared with machine-like international chains. The staff is charming, flexible and helpful, the atmosphere is relaxed. Don't expect fancy marble bathrooms and plush carpets - the decor shows the signs of wear and tear, but you know where to turn the lights and the aircon on and off (have you ever tried to figure out how to work the lights and curtain switches in a modern hotel? - a nightmare). Two pools, massage and restaurant on the beach, decent breakfast, overall good food. Great price-to-value choice on the popular North Samui waterfront.

Paradise for sure

Absolutely wonderful hotel. So happy we found it. We had originally booked the Dara Samui Beach Resort, which within 10 mins we found to be a disaster of a hotel. My wife then found Paradise Beach Resort, and how lucky were we. On arriving we were greeted by Andy from Switzerland who was there on a hotel management internship. From that point onwards we were treated so well. So beautiful and fantastic. Our vacation could have been a disaster if we had stayed at Dara Samui Beach Resort. We are so happy we found Paradise Beach Resort - highly recommended, and we'll hopefully be back to Paradise again soon.

Could be Great

The Good. Location is right on the beach and the water is clean and calm. The restaurant/dining area is in a perfect location overlooking the water and islands in the distance. Quiet surrounds, great staff, access to other areas of Samui is easy with the hotel shuttle making hourly trips too and from, pools are good and breakfast was very good. The gardens were well maintained and very superb. The Bad. We were checked in and taken to our room which was large and well appointed. The big issue was the musty smell which we complained about immediately. We were told the smell was a local plant that was placed in an oil burner to make the room more pleasant Well we were not so sure but decided to accept their removal. A day later that musty smell was still there. Again we are assured it was the lingering odour of that plant. Wrong, it was a musty smell from mould and it stayed in that room for the duration. To be fair we were offered another room but to be fair they should not offer guests rooms that smell musty. Other issue was the hot, cold, hot cold shower. For our stay the shower would alternate from very hot to cold or somewhere in between. Terrible and in these times such should never occur. The stay would have been perfect except for room smell and poor water control

Great choice for a family vacation with Halal food

my stay was a 3 night stay, i felt at home here. I came with my family. This to me is a family resort because it's a bit far away from the party life, but not too far from a 7-11 or family mart. The tour desk operator was friendly and helpful, she made our trip worth while. The staff was very friendly and even helped us with an early breakfast box when we asked them. We had to leave at 6:45 and their restaurant opens at 7 so it was a great plus point. We had issues in one of our room early on and they changed the room and in addition upgraded for whatever reason but we were happy with the overall effort especially the halal food. They would specially make our food in different pans and pots to ensure that everything is halal. The free shuttles were great too, they take you to all the main places for shopping like fisherman's village, Big C and central festival (amazing shopping mall). I must give the MVP award to the Internet in my room. 24mbps is what i was getting, my 4g speeds on true network was giving me the same do that was amazing. My parent's room 212 didn't have a great internet connection though. It was very weak, I guess it depends on location of room. The only con for me was the weather. We couldn't set our feet in the beach once because of the constant rain, but no fault of the hotel. Improvements that could be made is the water pressure. That pressure in the toilet shower could clean a car no joke. It needs to be human friend. Overall an A+ visit.

Nice hotel on the beach.

The staff are all friendly and will do anything to help make your stay comfortable. It is in a quiet, safe and secure location. It is away from Cheweng, but I liked that and the hotel provides a free shuttle. The room was spacious with a balcony and the air conditioning was excellent. The bed was very hard but the staff worked hard to fix this. The 2 pools are great with one overlooking the beach. You can walk along the beach to other restaurants and bars, however there are no hawkers or people bothering you. All in all a great place to relax.

Perfect resort close to beach....

Resort was idyllic and perfect in so many ways.....ideal location for families next to a quiet beach with lots of pool areas within lush landscaped grounds.....however.... If you choose to stay in a deluxe apartment....beware as they are in serious need of a make over....some have been done but many others haven't...and we got one that hadn't....it was a loooong way short of 4 star standard and the bathroom was a huge disappointment resembling more like a 2star back packers hostel with painted tiling that had began to peel off with very old and knackered fixtures and fittings......the room was also very basic....the one redeeming feature being the excellent air-conditioning....! If you can avoid the old apartments and book the other refurbished rooms you can truly say you stayed in a top top luxury resort....don't let our sad experience of our room put you off the rest of the hotel / resort which is truly beautiful.....just check what room your getting before you book!

Quiet hotel, far from the madding crowds

Delightful pools with beech towels provided. Rooms vary from spacious like ours to damp and musty like the one we were given to change in on the last day, and the drain in the shower was blocked. A taxi ride away from the buzz. Spa at hotel was adequate. Communication could be better, we weren't aware that the hotel offered to book excursions for you, so look out for the lady bear the reception. Confusion on last day as we had booked a room to get changed in since we didn't leave till mid afternoon and checkout is at 12 and we also ordered a taxi - neither had been arranged. Check and double check.

A week in Paradise?

Spent a week here in Feb 2016. The beach can be inaccessible at times due to high tides but the two pools were a perfect substitute. The breakfast was very good with lots of choice. The free shuttle service to Bophut Fishermans village was essential and would have liked it to run a bit later or more frequently. Service was generally good and all the issues we had with the room were dealt with efficiently and with sincere apology.

Great hotel and staff too.

If you want a get away from it all hotel then this could be for you. I stayed here two weeks and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The staff were friendly and nothing to much trouble. I spent my days here just soaking in the sun. If I were to go back to Samui then it would be here for sure. Thanks to Roland and the team for a great stay.

A stay in Asia ? Don't miss this gem!

Booked on line a few months back.Saw that this hotel was under a refurbishment program, and was a little concerned about some of the negative reviews ..... Absolutely no need ! In our 3 weeks touring around Asia this was THE BEST ! Would like to think as 60 year olds we are well travelled enough to make a considered, objective review of any accommodation. Stayed up the beach at The 5* Santi Buri Resort a couple of years back and could honestly say I prefered our stay in Paradise. JJ had his team very well trained, they are courteous, attentive, and efficient. Roland (swiss gentleman) looked after customer relations excellently. Our only problem is how soon we can come back, certainly not 3 nights ,has to be at least 7. Do check out on Face Book , they have a great page to communicate.

Wind down time

After a hectic 2 weeks of travelling and touring, it was the perfect prescription for winding down and relaxing. We honestly didn't much leave the resort area, so can't really comment on the surroundings, but did enjoy what the resort had to offer.

Paradise in Samui

Fantastic, considering we moved from our other hotel that we booked after 1 night and lost a lot of money on. The hotel and their staff were fantastic. The only 2 minor things that could of been improved was the shower pressure was very low and the TV did not have the best reception. Overall really lovely but down a very very long driveway and not a lot around the actual hotel itself to do. They did have a shuttle bus which was a great service into Chewang and Bohput which was great but otherwise you have to taxi to go anywhere.

Extremely pleasant

We are staying in Mae Nam with a group but decided to treat ourselves to a nice bed for a night before my husband went home. The room was lovely and had a minbar (which we didn't use). But it was the breakfast that got us. We ordered muesli and yogurt as well as a omelette. Our comes the muesli and yogurt, then 2 fruit platters, a plate of crossiants, Danishes and toast as well as our omelette. The coffee was good as well as the juice. We could see the beach from were we sat. Highly recommend this hotel.

Garden/SwimmingPool are gorgeous and people lovely

We loved our stay at the Paradise. Initially it was only for 1 night to wait for the ferry for Ko Tao and at the end of we really hesitated to leave. First we booked online for a bungalow (around the swimming pool) but when we arrived they gave us a free upgrade to a Villa since it was low season and they wanted us to enjoy even more our stay. The villas are bigger than bungalow and like the bungalows they are overlooking the beautiful garden and swimming pool. The resort is aging a bit but too be honest it gives some soul/spirit that you can miss in the brand new/modern/luxury resorts (and we tried some in Ko Tao, we didn't like it for this reason...we had the impression to be in a "Paris hotel" style). So yes we highly recommend this hotel, the staff is super friendly and the location on Mae nam beach is perfect because it's quiet here (compared to other beaches of Ko Samui) They have free bicycles to go to the fisherman village as well as kayaks (1st hour is free for kayaks)

Short stay in Mae Nam.

The hotel is set in beautiful gardens and has a beach side location although you have to walk down a narrow road to get to it from the main road. Not convenient if you want to venture Mae Nam by foot especially returning in the evening as this road is unlit. The rooms are incredibly tired and are in dire need of updating and freshing up. The staff are very welcoming, polite, friendly and helpful. I was unhappy with the room that I was first shown as it smelled damp, had paint peeling on the ceiling and walls, noisy air con and was incredibly tired looking with a 1970's colour theme going on. For £30 a night I might accept it but at £60 a night it really wasn't worth the money. The man from reception was incredibly helpful in trying to find me an alternative room as he explained that part of the hotel was being renovated and the other rooms were booked. He showed me one other room that was marginally better. There were no other rooms available and I couldn't get a refund, I had no other option but to take the room. This place is not value for money in any stretch of the imagination. I am happy to pay good money if the accommodation is worth it but sadly in this case I feel that I have been completely ripped off. Paradise Beach is certainly far, far from paradise. I looked at other places over the next day and found much better quality accommodation and location for over half of the price. Glad that I only stayed for two nights.

Tranquil retreat from the world

This is located on an amazing beach, with calm and perfectly clear water. There are several other hotels/beach bars along the beach to give you some options, but other than that you would need a scooter or taxi to move around (or just stay put). The room facilities look a little rustic and tired, but we didn't come here to hang out in the room. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful, and we ate at the restaurant for almost every meal since everything was so fresh and well prepared. The fish BBQ ob the beach was some of the best fish i have ever had! The hotel can also help arrange excursions (moon parties, transport to pier, snorkelling). Highly recommended for a quiet few days in paradise.

Had no issues with our stay here - the staff at the restaurant where breakfast was served was attentive and helpful. It isn't located near the "night life" of Koh Samui but the hotel does provide a drop off pick up service to Chaweng and from what I saw, they will drop you off wherever you like on the way as well. We did run out of tissues and shampoo/soap and it wasn't automatically refilled but a quick call to reception fixed that quickly and someone was at our door in minutes. The person showing us to our room (Sweet) was especially detailed with everything in the room which was appreciated.

Good location, nice hotel

The hotel is in a good spot right on the beach with some good swimming, safe for children generally calm. There are some rocks a little way off in front of the hotel but well marked, otherwise flat and sandy. Not much snorkeling interest. The hotel beach is narrow and shady beachfront loungers are a premium, there are two pools elsewhere in the quite extensive grounds. The planting throughout is mature and provides general shade. Rooms and cabins are good sized and reasonably furnished and have a balcony/patio area, whilst they are generally in good repair they have a patina of age, giving a sort of colonial era ambience. In my experience everything worked or was fixed promptly, not an everyday experience in this area. The restaurant does a pretty good breakfast included, lunch and dinner service is also good and they try hard to ring the changes with themed events. Failing that there are other choices within a modest walk along the beach or into Mae nam. I found the staff to be uniformly polite and eager to please and efficiently run. The beach front bar is pleasantly sited for sundowners with a nice aspect of the sea and range of cocktails at affordable prices. The hotel has some watersport activity equipment, sailboards, kayaks and snorkelling gear and there is a dive shop also they have tour organiser, a tailor shop plus wellness spa, massage facilities and odd bits of fitness and sporting equipment (multi gym, table tennis Etc). Nothing is outrageously priced

Paradise – This hotel is anything but Paradise

The worst hotel we have ever stayed in. This hotel lacks atmosphere and a golden opportunity is being missed as it is in a very tranquil location but the staff & management lack charisma & style! To summarise: Dirty towels in room & torn duvet cover on arrival, pool towel attendant re-rolling used towels for arriving guests to use without being laundered, aircon not working in room for 1 night, Wi-Fi not working in room, hotels power back-up generator taking a long while to "kick" into action during power cuts. The final straw which resulted in an early departure for us was on Christmas Eve black water coming out of all the taps in the shower room. The restaurant provides very 2nd rate food and not enough of it,we attended the BBQ evening and had to queue for ages as the chef had no idea about volume required for number of guests attending – even though it was a bookable function, then when the fish/meat was available from the BBQ there were no suitable vegetables etc. cooked – it was a shambles, we can all do a better job at our own garden BBQ’s & these are supposed to be professionals getting paid to this for a living!! It may sound like we had several days at this hotel but all of this was in 3 days & to be quite honest we are grateful that the black water issue happened when it did as it gave us the chance to get out & enjoy the rest of our time in Koh Samui in another hotel – where we had a wonderful Christmas Day!!

wonderful staff and fantastic views

If you want a quiet time with a scenic view and accommodating staff this is the hotel for you. We did a Thai cookery course which I can highly recommend, excellent value for money, but make sure you are hungry, you have to eat all 5 courses. We chose one of the cheaper rooms, next time I would go for a private bungalow. Take advantage of the free shuttle to Chaweng, get all the hustle and action there and return to peace, quiet and paradise.

Loved the ambience!

We stayed at two places, Paradise & one other corporate "chain" hotel, Paradise was superior in so many ways, the grounds are amazing, well established and well set out. The rooms were clean, spacious and private. There are two pools to choose from, both offering a different feel, our kids swam for a minimum of 5 hours per day! Menu was extensive and well priced & happy hour at the bar was always fun with friendly staff eager to get to know us and have a friendly chat, plus the view from the eatery and bar was spectacular, the resort lives up to its name in location. Did I mention all the staff were fantastic :) Will definitely be going back!

Great Getaway, driving distance from hot-spots!

Top-rate service at this hotel. Very friendly and personable staff willing to bend over backwards to help you enjoy your stay. The landscaping is outstanding; truly a tropical garden paradise! Tucked away from main road (and taxis), but also tucked away from noise and crowds. Hotel shuttle not always available because of limited seats....and taxis anywhere are expensive. You can rent scooters (uninsured) from the hotel for CHEAP....we did and it was the highlight of our trip! Beach directly in front of hotel is outstanding, but there is tons of broken glass on the beaches of neighboring hotels & restaurants, so be careful. We did have an unwanted guest in our bungalow on night #1 (think rodent in the rafters) but the maintenance guys were quick to respond and resolved the issue to our satisfaction and repeatedly checked in with us during the rest of our stay. Bar and restaurant are right on the beach with incredible views. 2 beautiful pools and beachside lounge chairs make for too many awesome choices of where to hang out. Spa is also great, yet overpriced. Would recommend this hotel!

Nice location right onto the beach and close to ou

Stayed at centera beach hotel days before and would class that hotel as a far superior one . Very disappointed that the overall cost of both hotels were similar due to additional fees etc not noticed when booking the paradise was also a little more than surprised to learn that we had an upgraded room from that booked as felt room was very basic, withpaint coming off the wall in the bathroom also room previously shown to us prior to booking was far better.

Fantastic start to our holiday

We spent four nights here and were not disappointed. As some reviews mention Mr Bee and his team are wonderful from the word go. A warm welcome and easy check in was followed up the next day at breakfast with Bee remembering our names and asking if all was well. I was and we thoroughly enjoyed our four nights there. Breakfast was fantastic and I cannot fault the resort. A little bit quiet if you are looking to be nearer the action however the shuttle bus will solve that. Would recommend to friends.

Just back from a really relaxing, enjoyable stay at the Paradise Beach Resort. The staff there couldn't do enough for us and made us very welcome. Some parts of the hotel are getting a bit tired but on the whole it was a great place to get away from it all and have the relaxing break we needed. I had high hopes for Paradise Beach Resort, but my experience was far from pleasant. First of all, the so-called “beach” is misleading – there’s no real beach, just stairs leading directly into murky water. This was a huge letdown. The room itself was below standard. The shower curtain was filthy, and the toilet was completely yellowed – absolutely unacceptable. The minibar was stocked, but there wasn’t even a bottle opener provided, which felt like a careless oversight. The bed was rock-hard and incredibly uncomfortable, making it impossible to get a good night’s sleep. The walls are paper-thin, so you hear everything from neighboring rooms and the hallway, which added to the discomfort. To top it off, the food was awful – bland, poorly prepared, and far from the quality you’d expect from a resort. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Paradise Beach Resort did not live up to its name in any way.

Flott beliggenhet, men rom for forbedring
