Amazing luxury

This property is "a little piece of heaven." It was our second time visiting from the U.S. and a big reason we came back to New Zealand was to experience this wonderful property again. It did not disappoint. It is one of our favorite places we have been to - ever! And we have traveled a lot. Can't say enough good things.

Everyone at this hotel was very accommodating. Beautiful rooms with great views. Breakfast was great each morning, and Nicky was a fantastic server going above and beyond. Dinner was also very good. It is outside the central rotoura area and as such most tours won’t pick you up there, but it is a 10 min drive into town and we found it very easy to get an uber quickly, so no issues getting around.

Our check-in felt a bit awkward—we were told many (many) times how the property and views are “quite stunning” as we were shown around. Everything else was very nice. Room had a great view, and we really liked the breakfast (and breakfast staff). Parking on the hill was tricky!

Truly an exquisite stay! The decor and attention to detail were breathtaking, and the spaces were both comfortable and offered amazing views of the lake. It felt private yet perfectly catered to our needs. The dining options were exceptional, with thoughtful consideration for a variety of dietary preferences. Highly recommended!

On The Point is 100% On Point Perfection

Wonderful 2 night stay in the 2 bedroom apartment on this lovely property. The staff and service was outstanding. The apartment was perfect with two completely seperate bedrooms and bathrooms a common livingroom with small table and kitcehnette. Ideal for a family of 4 or two couples. Private jaccuzi, in unit washer and dryer and fantastic view of the lake.

Beautiful location

It was a beautiful hotel that used to be a private residence. Everything was very clean and luxurious. The staff was amazing.

Everything was perfect for us on the day , We went on a helicopter trip and lunch in town. Then checked into the hotel, what' a spot.

Beyond Compare Stay at On the Point

Fantastic in every way, including facilities, location, staff and services. One of the most memorable experiences ever, and I've been travelling for work and pleasure my entire adult life. You should definitely stay at On the Point at least once.

There are sheep and donkeys, you can feed

Relaxing resort, beautiful and excellent staff and the meals, breakfast and dinners were just fantastic. Dinners were fine dinning quality with fabulous presentation.

The setting was superb! Views and animals right off the deck. Lovely staff. Wonderful food. We will stay here again!

Way exceeded my expectation! Excellent service and facilities. Quite friendly for families with little kids. If the rating was 10, I would rate 12! Great stay!

Beautiful and calming surroundings. A wonderful place to relax, unwind and enjoy nature's beauty. We were treated to picturesque sunrise and sunset views each day. The staff members are extremely friendly and responsive. We especially enjoyed the breakfast and engaging with the animals on property, especially the donkeys and pony who came up to our cottage fence for treats. Our massages by Svetlana were perfect. She has magical hands and takes the time to ask your preferences before she gets to work. Will definitely return if I am lucky to visit NZ again.

Shangri-La in Rotorua

This is an amazing place. Especially since we had reserved the Lakefront Cottage which had amazing views of the lake. The service is incredible. The sheep grazing below us were cool and friendly. They supply carrots and bread to feed them. Food was excellent too as well as the baked breads, muffins and pastries.

We loved our stay. The room was nice and spacious. The staff and service was warm and welcoming, the breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed playing pool in a beautiful setting after dinner. We would love to go back !

Fantastic stay. Great attention to detail and all the staff are very helpful and friendly. The view is great and our kids loved being able to feed the different animals that live on the property. Highly recommended and would definitely stay there again.

Our family stayed in their 4 bedroom villa. It's a very unique African theme decor. Very clean and great kitchen set up. Own 2 car-garaging. All the heating and lights ready for us to check in. Their staff stayed behind to serve us our pre-ordered dinner at 21:00. Food was 6-star. Service was beyond excellence. All staff were efficient, helpful and friendly.

An excellent location and atmosphere for our wedding anniversary celebration. Food and service were excellent. Loved sitting by the fire after dinner.

Looking for a once in a year wow experience?

Treat yourself to an experience of luxury. Every aspect of our stay was taken care of. The visual appeal of the rooms, the house, and the views were incomparable, and the food was delicious. A romantic space completely away from the stresses of life with amazing location, perfect comfort, thoughtful, helpful yet unobtrusive staff. Do use the meals available, they are similarly extra-ordinary! Shower and spa bath were amazing.

Wonderful Stay Over Christmas.

We decided to treat ourselves again at Peppers after going there in 2020. With Covid19 still around and our kids and grandchildren living overseas and NZ borders closed, it was great spending Christmas in such a lovely place as this. We cannot fault anything, the food, service, accommodation, and the delightful grounds leading down to the lake. Excellent choice and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for that something special.

Stunning

Peppers on the point was exceptional! The staff are absolutely fantastic, we felt like VIP’s as soon as we drove in. The attention to detail on the property and in our room was superb, anything you could possibly want or need was there. The furnishings are beautiful and of the highest quality, even the tea towel was Egyptian cotton! We stayed in the cottage suite and could not recommend it more. The view was mesmerising and having sheep out in the front paddock was lovely. Also feeding the miniature horses and the two donkeys some carrots was a highlight. Coming back from a day of exploring to your own personal spa pool and heated floors was divine. The dining experience and food are definitely a must try. We had a wonderful few days here and can’t wait to get back for another lovely break.

Fabulous Place to Stay

We stayed at Peppers on the Point for two nights on our “staycation”. We were absolutely thrilled with this little gem. Service was excellent, food beautiful and there is a lovely lounge area which is ideal to talk to other guests for a pre-dinner drink etc. We would certainly recommend this lovely boutique, up-market hotel right on Lake Rotorua. Beautiful setting and grounds.

It was a last minute booking, what a gem. The managment treats you like royalty. Best place to stay in Rotorua.

Breakfast was also great. Rooms were spacious with beautiful views of the lake. Lovely walking paths around the property.

Exquisite place to stay with beautiful views over Lake Roturoa. Lodge we stayed in was fully equipped including washing machine and dryer. Loungers outside, difficult to decide whether to just stay and relax at the hotel or visit the local attractions and we should have stayed longer to do both. At least one night eat in the hotel you would love the food, the service and the ambience

Our stay at Peppers was amazing! Everyone at Peppers made us feel like we were super special. From Ann at check in, Meena our room attendant, Mathew our waiter, and to the chef who prepared a delicioius dinner, and everyone else at Peppers, we had a great time. Feeding the horses and donkeys was an extra special treat.

We will miss New Zealand!

Peppers is a lovely place. Our room was simply perfect with a view of Lake Rotorua, tasteful furnishings, and a splendid jacuzzi. Staff were extraordinarily helpful. This was the perfect way to end our visit in New Zealand.

Wonderful staff, outstanding facility, great location, awesome views

The view is stunning and the property had a lot of history. The accommodation was warm and well furnished and it was lovely to have a spa pool in winter. The bed was a king not a double as stated on website which was a nice upgrade. The accommodation had a nicely appointed kitchenette and a few delicious treats to enjoy. The only downside was that we could hear the guests in the apartment above till after midnight! So the soundproof on the floors was not effective. Overall we had a wonderful stay and recommend this property and staff.

An incredible place with incredible staff.

The experience at this hotel is outstanding. The staff are incredibly dedicated and truly make the experience special. Nevermind the gorgeous lake views from everywhere on their property, the uniqueness of the grounds, the villas, the sunrises, and the care they take of the grounds making everything excellent. But, the people make the place, and Peppers has an outstanding family.

Lodge Suite Without A View

Service is outstanding and the grounds are beautiful. However, if you book a "Lodge Suite" confirm if it has a view of the lake or roof/alley. We were disappointed to be in the one room without a view of the lake. The AC unit was outside the bedroom window and hummed all night, the balcony - near the AC unit - was very tiny, none of the windows had a lake view, and the shower was temperamental. Again, the breakfast was delicious, common-area stunning, and staff amazing.

Beautiful lake views and wonderful service from the staff

The property was well maintained unique overlooking the lake with superb view. Service and staff were nice. We had a wonderful cottage lodge and loved the whole experience.

The location of the property is priceless and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We hope to be back some day.
