The facility is old and outdated. The balcony door cannot open, so I didn’t enjoy the panoramic views from the hotel.

It is near to train station, there are restaurants and a supermarket nearby. Accommodation is ok, but the wardrobe is in very bad condition.

A nice hotel room with modern look inside. The room has a mini washer machine which is unique. Hotel stuffs are friendly and helpful.

A nice apart-hotel near the Langao Road subway station (Line 7 of the Shanghai metro), giving it easy access to the major sights of the city. There are also several dining options in the underground shopping mall connected to the station, as well as three convenience stores within 1 min walking distance to the hotel. It is definitely a hotel worth considering!

Fantastic customer service. Prime location with Shanghai Metro right outside, and a massive food court. A few convenience stores close by and large grocery shop downstairs. Highly recommend.

This property is a great value and well worth the price. My only complaint is that they don't turn on the air conditioner in the hallway. It basically makes it feel like one star below what it should be. When you walk into a hotel in the summer, you should feel like you are escaping the heat. But instead it's like, only parts of the hotel has AC and many parts don't. It makes it feel cheap. Another thing that made no sense is that the workers keep leaving windows and doors open during hot summer days when it's 100 degrees Fahrenheit or 38 Celsius. On one hand they want to save money on AC, but on the other hand, they will also leave the doors and windows open when the AC is on... makes no sense

A great place with an excellent location. Very convenient and walkable to underground eatery that host many authentic local cuisine. The underground also connects to the subway. Highly recommended this hotel.

The room is clean, suitable with family and money value

Quiet location away from the usual tourist areas. Suited us as we had a couple of busy weeks in other more touristy locations.

Great Shanghai hotel

You know, some people may say staff are rude, but I think we have to come to grips with the Chinese culture. I had a wonderful experience here, the staff were efficient, friendly and I did have a query which they helped and followed through with. We were 3 staying in a 2 bedroom loft, it is plenty spacious, only the bathroom could be more private, the opaque glass don't offer much privacy. Great cafes within 10m and a Family Mart, a mall with a little market is also 20m away. If you dare walk about 1.5km you can get into the suburbs which have awesome authentic chinese food, we enjoyed the dumplings and beef noodle soup alot!

Likes: 2 levels, heater is good, location is good (in CBD area, near a mall with movie theatre, train station), fridge, kitchen area Dislikes: Toilet was a little small and walls are opaque

Great place!

Love the location - less than 5 min walk to the metro entrance and 30 min metro ride to major places of interest, and just besides a mall. The surrounding is nice too, with Starbuck below. The room, though slightly small, is well-equipped with kitchen, equipment, fridge and TVs etc., and is clean. The hotel has a nice gym too. It is certainly worth the price.

Great Hotel, Terrible Internet!

Ideal location - Metro, food options, bank and other services. 24 hour gym and laundry facility is available at 25RMB a load. Very nice common areas. Internet sucked... during the day it worked great at night I gave up and used my own data plan... total nightmare! Cost me a fortune to resolve this issue and it was a HUGE disapointment! Staff is friendly and the rooms were very nice. Washroom showers could use a renovation but that might have simply been my room.

I like the spacious loft room with double beds which is good for my family of four. Enough space for the four of us to move around.

We had the most difficult time getting a cab. most days we had to walk over to the renaissance. Our room smelled strange, but not unbearably so. The WIFI is spotty at best, there is a Starbucks next door and a train around the corner. Aside from the taxi issue the customer service here is great.

The hotel is close to a supermarket, many nice restaurants and some shopping stores. It's great with people like nice food and enjoy walking around. The hotel itself is quiet with friendly staff. i like the laundry room, it's convenient when i have a long trip.

Good hotel , small rooms , below average breakfast

All was good

The hotel is great. It was me my mom and a friend it is was a perfect amount of space for the three of us. Loved the loft aspect of the room. View was great from the 11th floor. Always had fresh towels. The area was great also a little shopping mall just steps away. Starbucks right next door and a bank that accepts American cards at ATM. Area was clean and felt very safe. Local metro train was also steps away. Great experience with the hotel. Also when we showed up we did not have any chinese rbm to pay the cab so the front desk helped us out until the next day when we could get to the bank. Great hotel would definitely stay again.

Not really a FRASER standard

It’s not a very old hotel but the Interieur is over used. The floors in the rom has holes in the laminat. The shower has everywhere mold. If you look under a bed you can see the dirty stuff from years. The breakfast has beside a good coffee machine not really something inviting. The check in and check out very long time. The area is not to bad and beside is a Starbucks, cross the street a nice coffee shop and bar and on the right side a shopping mall with restaurants. I don’t think I will stay there again.

The unique about the property is like studio apartment. Its good for the family. What we don't like is the toilet a bit smelly eventhough is clean. Not sure where is the smell come from.

Our stay was good with the subway being very close by. Only issue would be the bathroom layout. It can be quite cramped and the glass sliding door doesnt close properly leaving a slight gap. Staff are friendly though!

Just the ticket

This was a halfway meeting house to meet our son travelling in from Hangzhou and us travelling from the airport. Super easy to get to Maglev then, Line 7, hotel a 2 minute walk from metro. Looks quite residential around about the hotel, so plenty of Family Marts ( 7/11) and places to eat. The staff were warm, welcoming and very helpful. The room was grand, all amenities, great layout, balcony, comfortable bed, mezzanine area for 2nd bed. Ideal for a family or even folks travelling together, couples or otherwise. Thought it was great value for money.

Everything is good.But only washroom door is not good.its not closed prperly. Like Its nothing hide prperly. This glass Door has hole and side door space.Its need fully close and no need any spce between door and wall.

Loved the view of the City scape from the 17th floor, balcony, split level great, Only problem for late night arrival was the Bell-Persons, were less than engaging, not offering to help until almost at the entry-way, Staff inside was great, communicated well in English, Beds were good, low profile (low to the ground) but comfortable.

The property is clean and conveniently located near the line 7 subway. There are also several restaurants nearby. The staff is kind and helpful.

Great hotel with unbelievable low price, next to the subway station

Overall quite good. The internal mezzanine stairs are loud and you can hear the neighbours traversing the stairs in the dead of the night. Some of the pillows have slightly used and smelly covers, but not all of them.

Hotel itself : A stylish hotel located in Putuo area, approx. 5-10 mins walk to subway. Nearby : There is a shopping mall in 100 miles (Supermarket, Burger King, hotpot and pizza etc available). Starbucks is just next to the hotel. 2 convenient stores nearby and one is 24-hr, so no worry even in midnight if you get hungry. Breakfast : Breakfast with very limited choices, but taste ok. Carparking : Only 2 carpark spaces available outside the hotel. All other cars would have to drop at Shared Carpark which is located in opposite building (Renaissance Hotel). Didi car service : It costs around RMB210- from the hotel to Pudong airport, and there are also many taxis available outside the hotel.

Loft design with kitchenette is ideal for a family with little kids. Linda, the manager, was awesome in helping us set up some side trips

A very great experience during our short stay at Shanghai. We stayed here for 4d3n. The room is very spacious and most importantly CLEAN. We had 2 TVs in the room, one at the loft and one at the lower level, so all the guests could have their TV time. (: Upon arrival we are greeted by friendly and helpful concierges that explained what’s available in our vicinity. The location of the hotel is very accessible to many places. There’s also a Starbucks next to the hotel lobby. You can easily find many convenient stores near the vicinity as well. We mainly travel by metro trains which is just few minutes walk from the hotel.

Comfortable hotel for business

Comfortable for short term business trip. Service was good, and thanks to their housekeeping I recovered my jacket and t-shirt that I left behind. Cleanliness can be improved though, as there was a used plaster in the shower area that wasn't removed even after housekeeping came to tidy up the room. The apartment has a kitchenette and stairs leading up to the living room and bedroom. If you are travelling with heavy luggage, you probably would want to leave the luggage at the kitchen and entrance area. Close by to eateries and the metro.

The best thing about this property is that right above a starbucks, next to Metro and a good size shopping center with a very large supermarket inside. If you are planning to stay long term then it gives you the comfort of living in your own apartment rather than a hotel. Staff are friendly and the property manager is an expert in customer service. Only thing to improve is their breakfast. I think they can do better.

Great stay

Great service, staff are friendly and helpful. Room service provided every day. The room we stayed in was comfortable and cosy. Very convenient to the train station (2min walk), food and a supermarket. Would definitely stay here again. Only downside would have to be the furniture is cheap in the apartment (can easily be broken if not careful) and Shanghai is about a 30min train ride from the location.

A bit smelly

I can see what this hotel was trying to acheive (ideas of luxury, spaciousness and western comfort) but I wish they'd just focussed on simple things instead (like good plumbing, putting an email address on their website) and got them right. The suite smelled of old cigarette smoke, the bathroom smelled of drains and was too close to the bed, and the showers didn't run hot water (lucky it was summer and I didn't mind too much). I would have just accepted these things as part of staying in Asia if the room didn't cost so much. Next time I'll just stay at a cheaper hotel rather than one trying to be 4 star.

Good location and convenience

The hotel is located very close to the Metro station which makes it easy to get around town. All you need is a Shanghai metro map😊. We got loft with two queen beds so my older daughter can have a private area upstairs. The kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook or warm up food. The only thing that’s bothering me is the bath room. It’s too dark and small, there’s no place to hang clothes/shower towel. The staffs are very friendly and helpful👍. Overall it’s a good choice for a short stay in Shanghai.

Convenient Location. Value for Money

Location is very convenient as it is just a 3 minute walk across the road to Line 7-Langao MRT station and a small shopping mall with a food court in which you would have no problems finding food. Whilst the condition of the room may be a bit dated with some cracks and peels here and there, it is still ok for the price of the room. I would stay here again.

Poorly managed Service Apartment Hotel

Lousy service from reception all the way to housekeeping etc. First no greeting at reception upon guest arrival. Bell boy doesn't seem to be helpful with luggage and will only carry for you up to doorstep and not in the room. Housekeeping is worst still because after 4.30 pm there will be no proper housekeeping staff to attend to you. All previous good review by other guest stay is over rated if I compared this Modena by Fraser with even a three star hotel. At least the other hotel staff will greet you upon meeting along the corridor but not in Modena. You sound like you owe them a living and I will not recommend this service appt hotel to anyone in Shanghai

Very convenient, beside just MRT. But it takes some time to downtown. Good service and give us for early check in especially for us which is take midnight flight. Breakfast is good as well. Overall is excellent.

Perfect for a long term stay

This hotel will definitely make you feel like you are at home, it has all the comforts and then some. It is right next to a mall with several restaurants and a movie theatre, however if you want to cook there is a full kitchen with all the things you need to make a meal and a grocery store next door. There is lots of shopping in the area but if you want to venture out, the metro is across the street and it will take you anywhere in the city. I will definitely look for this facility or it’s sister in other cities. I already miss it!

Close to downtown and shopping

Very courteous and capable staff who were always ready to help you. Friendly environment and felt very safe. English speaking staffs were another plus.

Comfortable room and Happy experience. The hotel room maintained a high standard and, a fully functional kitchenette would always be a plus. People at reception was professional: Linda was extremely helpful to show us directions to the neighborhood and gave us a tour to all facilities including fitness center, laundry, and a fancy kids room.

地下鉄の駅から近く、近くにはファミリーマートや小さなスーパーがあり、観光目的の短期滞在で困ることは全くなかった。 ファミリーマートではたくさんの種類の肉まんが売っていて楽しかった。 トイレがベッドルームのすぐ横にあったことと、シャワーの水圧が少し低かったことが気になったが、 それ以外はこの値段でここまで広くてきれいなホテルはなかなかないと思う。

Great hotel near train station

Nice stay at the hotel for 3 nights. Buffet breakfast is great for us although some of the dishes are a bit salty and oily. Generally it is good. It is near to train station and accessibility to the town area is easy.
