What a wonderful hotel. The staff, the room (and its view) and the amenities were fantastic. We could not have felt more at home.

The hotel its self was good but not great. It is I bit outdated. AC couldn’t handle the hot weather . The lobby area is too small for such a big hotel. Gym was small I can’t even say that was a gym. Breakfast was good. Stuff was very attentive. Over all good hotel.

Lovely and very helpful hotel with everything you need. The location and pool were the only things that let this hotel down slightly. The beach is much cleaner on the other side of Rio.

The hotel is clean and the staff is amazing. It is located directly across the beach. A lot of eating options in walking distance.

Great location - felt safe walking around and the staff are excellent and are always willing to help and look out for you! Unfortunately my room wasn't great... I seemed to be next to/underneath a work room so from around 6am until midnight there was regular noise of what sounding like furniture being dragged around and crockery being stacked. I reported this to an female manger that I met in the corridor who said she would look into it but I never heard back and the noise continued. I ended up having to put noise cancelling earphones in to block it out and relax. I also don't like that they replace your soap every day - really no need, it's wasteful. Apart from that, I would recommend this hotel! We loved the pool area and could always get a seat or lounger when we wanted to.

The hotel is at an excellent location. The staff was a major highlight they helped us plan iterinary for our first day took us to a Brazilian football game which was an amazing experience.

Very clean, centrally located (Copa), nice pool at the rooftop, but it gets pretty hot, so don’t expect to feel refreshed. Also, keep in mind the coffee capsule in the room are not complimentary (maybe it’s a norm, but I’ve never stayed at the hotel where they charge you for coffee). Overall, pretty good stay that didn’t cost an arm and a leg.

The reception staff was incredibly helpful with booking tours and all our questions. The restaurant was well staffed and offered food choices that were outstanding.

An exceptional experience. The staff were all friendly. They do their jobs above and beyond. Very delicious breakfast. Rooms are so clean and the ocean room that we stayed in is phenomenal. The hotel has a reserved spot on copacabana beach that you can grab your towels from downstairs and cross the streets and go sit on the beach. If I wanna come back to Rio which I will, I will be staying in this hotel again!!!

Miramar is as a very nice hotel. Very nice rooms, friendly staff who were always willing to help! The hotel is within walking distance to restaurants and souvenir shopping and the beach is right across the street!

Staffing service was great for the most part. And they kept the hotel room clean daily.

My stay here was wonderful! I have nothing bad to say about this place. I would definitely recommend and would come back again. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

This was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. The staff were sooooo helpful, thoughtful and nice to be around. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast had everything you could want and a little bit more. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

The room and bathroom were large, comfortable and well appointed. The buffet breakfast is exceptional. Note that if you eat before you have been.assigned a room (if you came off an early flight where breakfast was inexistent or insufficient), the staff will take your name and charge your room later.

The staff was super friendly and helpful.the room was exceptional. View was fantastic. We stayed 7 nights and used the roof top pool everyday and Copacabano Beach was just across the street. The buffet breakfast was wonderful and huge selection. Highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is truly not worth the 5*. When we arrived at the hotel, the staff were really nice. But after we arrived in our room, i was shocked that the photos on the website, were not the same pictures as the room was. So when i called the reception and explained everything, they gave us the option to the room we truly booked. That was fine. But the beds are disgusting, old and dirty. The shower had mold. Needed slippers to step in the shower. After all, my partner and myself have had a food poisoning from the restaurant of the hotel. We have contacted the reception about this case, they did there best to help us, and gave us coconut water, and advice to get the best medicines in the pharmacy near the hotel. The service manager, told me (when they brought the coconut water) that we were not the only one who were sick of the food. Wel, that was the moment i wanted to leave the hotel as quick as possible. We stayed for 7days, and only 4days we were able to enjoy some things in Rio, because we where sick, and staying in bed for the rest of our stay. We are often in Rio de Janeiro for business trips, and wanted to try other 5star hotels in Rio, but sadly this one was maybe good for 3 stars. Nothing to say about the staff, they were very friendly, and willing.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel to celebrate my birthday. We were there 5 days and I am not exaggerating when I say it was one of the BEST hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The staff were extremely diligent and on top of their game. From suggestions to fantastic restaurants and places to visit, to helping with luggage, opening our car doors and ensuring the vehicle we were getting into was correct and safe, to helping with beach setup. The breakfast was fantastic (would recommend paying extra for this service). I would like to shoutout Jay (Jairon). He catered to us from hour one until we departed and was incredible thorough and present. He made sure to book last minute reservations to a prestigious steakhouse for my birthday dinner and always looked out for us. Gabriel, at reception, was also amazing and offered solid tips and advice. Overall, we both had a great experience. We have zero complaints. Everything was wonderful!

It was convenient to get around

The hotel is crossing the street from the beach. Also the hotel has a beach station for guests to have umbrellas, chairs, and towers.

I didn’t like that no private beach area for the hotel guests.

Very convenient location for the beach just across the street . Excellent staff and service. Nice rooms . I didn’t like that it doesn’t have a separate dedicated area on the beach but just all public beach . The pool is very very small .

Best stay in Rio

This hotel went above and beyond. I loved my stay here and everyone was so nice. The room was amazing and very clean. I thought the complementary fruit tray was a really nice addition.

Um super agradecimento as faxineiras (que priorozavam e limpavam nosso quarto pois tinhamos pet) e ao metri do restaurante que mandou cha e coco para meu marido que passou mal um dia. Excelente! The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the beach, ioffers a wide variety of food in the breakfast buffet, has a pool on the high floor to take pictures, thus deserving a couple of stars. HALLWAY: The carpet is old, dirty, stained, pieces of small trashs. Smell of mold in the air. ROOM: The "white" towels were VERY old, darken with stained. They didnt made the bed on 1st night. Got to put a daily tip for the bed to be made. Sink was never cleaned. RESTAURANT: One morning, I saw a server took a napkin to clean a spill from the floor, proced to use the same cloth to wipe the buffet table, the milk container and the container spout. Very disturbingly grosse. POOL: oh i wouldn't advise you step into the cloudy water in the pool. Its not a 4/5 star hotel by ANY standard, maybe a 2 star. So bring your own clean towel, dont expect room cleaning, pay attention on where you step, be smart in selecting the buffet food, then you will be ok. The hotel didnt provide a basic standard: clean room and towels .. its sad.

Great customer service, everyone is very attentive and willing to eager to attend. Rooms are nice, amenities are limited. Need transportation to get to most nice restaurants outside the hotel.

Perfect for Exploring Rio

Lovely hotel in middle of everything for Rio, great views and brilliant views

- This is not a 5 star hotel. This is a solid 4 star hotel. Do not book this if you are expecting any amenities or luxury that are expected by a 5 star, even in comparison to any of the 5 stars in Rio. This is below all of them. Book any of the others, I have visited several. - Terrible check in process, where I was charged significantly extra because I had accidently marked one person instead of two people for a room with a king bed. If you are booking one room, it should not make a difference if there are one person or two people in the room. - The room we checked into had a moth. We switched rooms. The new room had an ant infestation - hotel overall is run down for a 5 star. lacks the services, lacks the amenities. If this was a 4 star, it would be fine (nothing special), but considering the 5 star, you can absolutely do better.

Great and courteous Staff, clean and great place to stay

This property is in a great location. Very walkable and it felt safe. The buffet breakfast included with the room is fabulous. My complaint would be with the room . I choose a standard room because on Expedia it had a 9.8 rating. We were in room 413 and this room was very tiny. It did not even have a closet. I had to phone the front desk and ask for hanger and a rolling rack to hang clothes. There is also a charge of approximately $2.00 dollars to make a cup of coffee in your own room. The linens on the bed were not premium and there were no robes or even a hair dryer. I had to call the front desk. Also there is not even 1 hooking the room anywhere . There is no where to hang a towel to dry..I did let management know that there was mold on the bathroom wall.. they were very apologetic.

Love the location and the service here, with excellent rooms and comfortable beds. I am very picky traveler that is hard to please, but this place truly exceeded our expectations.

My daughter stayed at the Windsor Martinique hotel, partner of the Miramar totally booked. She wasn’t allowed to join us at the pool and to visit us in our room.At the same time , she was allowed to take the breakfast with us .

The hotel looks dated, rooms need to be refreshed. Old squeaky beds, old mattresses. I expect more from a 5* hotel.

Enjoyed our stay, the staff are amazing, helpful, proactive and sorted out issues we had with the room. Your in the heart of Copacabana with all the hustle and bustle thats associated it with, yet walking distance from the more chilled out vibes of Ipanema. Breakfast was great, large selection, topped up regulary and the staff are always at hand to help. Rooms need a bit of an update but overall amazing stay and equally amazing experience of Rio!!!

Very convenient to the beach

Staff is unmatched! They make this property amazing; from the front desk (JoAn), to the bellman (Jean and another who works in the evenings… young, short sorry I forgot his name), housekeeping, even the engineer who fixed my safe! I have not one complaint! I would stay in this hotel again in a heartbeat!

An acceptable 5-star for Brazil

Small hotel but very comfortable. The superior exclusive room was spacious and the bathroom very nice. The room was very comfortable. We did have to ask for a kettle though. The gym was disappointing as it had very little facilities and was outdated. I didnt try the pool area but whilst small it seemed adequate for the area. The breakfast reastaurant had a nice atmosphere with a great view on the avenue but the food selection and quality was disappointing. Overall for the hotel standards in Brazil, it was an acceptable 5-star.

The service was excellent, with the welcome glass of sparkling wine 🥂 housekeeping staff , reception, server all were very friendly. Everyday chocolates in the room and a fresh bottle of water, my room was on the 13th floor had a great view over the Copocabane beach 🏖️ I just loved the room & had a great vacation ❤️❤️

Our flight was leaving at 11:00 pm and they accommodated us to leave the hotel at 7:00 pm For a small fee. Which was great and we don’t have to way 10 hours at the airport We really appreciate it. Thank you!!!

This Miramar by Windsor is in an excellent location, it’s spotlessly clean, the staff are so helpful, the breakfast was fantastic, the pool and pool bar were lovely and the showers in the room were so wonderful. Nice touches like chocolates in the room every day and a fresh bottle of water. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again.

This is the best hotel in Rio. Exceptional service and good facilities for a medium size hotel in a central location by Copacabana beach. Their breakfast buffet and service is the best I have had anywhere. The Alloro restaurant is an excellent Italian restaurant with fine cuisine and fair prices for the quality and service. I stay at this hotel 3 times a year for business and have never been disappointed.

All the staff were so friendly and welcoming! The food at Alloro is phenomenal and the views from the pool are unmatched in Rio.

It has been some years since I stayed at the Miramar hotel. The service and quality.of care is not to be beat. Desk clerks, door men, the lady.at the breakfast check in were uniformly polite and nowledgeable. It reminds me of a hotel in Europe, but the rooms are bigger. A great stay.

Located on Copacabana beach so a great location for access to restaurants, bars, shopping and transportation. The view from the rooftop pool/bar is fabulous. Room was really nice, clean and relatively quiet. Food was wonderful at the rooftop bar and in the restaurant downstairs. Staff spoke excellent English and were helpful with all our needs. Highly recommend.

We had a great time at the Miramar. The breakfast buffet is incredible, the staff is super nice and helpful. The hotel is on the beach, on a large boulevard lined with hotels, apartment buildings and restaurants. Highly recommended.

I was able to check-in early for a 50% rate after arriving at the hotel at 6.30am. The service was excellent, even letting me borrow an adaptor to charge my phone etc.. Hotel room was very nice, if a little small and with no view. Pool bar was excellent, giving a great view of Copacabana beach.

Great value & location

Superior service from front desk check in to room service. Rooms are clean and comfortable. For the price, excellent value. Please be aware, "sea view" room is slightly misleading depending on floor. Will not see much of the ocean as you look out the window on a lower level. These rooms are facing another building and do not have balconies. The best views are from the pool, one of the best features. Small, but nice. Pool drink and food service readily available. The restaurant on site is very good too!!

Hotel is located across the Copacabana beach and also provides towels, chairs and umbrellas on the beach. Breakfast was excellent, broad choice, friendly and responsive staff. Swimming pool is on the top floor with beautiful view of Copacabana beach and also Sugarloaf mountain.

Great overall staff from the front security and front desk. Visitors will always feel safe staying at this hotel 24 hours a day and they are always available with your needs. Housekeeping was spot on with daily services. Kept the room very clean. This hotel is highly recommended for anyone visiting Copacabana. Walking distance from the beach with hotel beach chairs available as well. Thank you for your hospitality to all the staff at Miramar Hotel.

I liked the hotel but the area surrounding is not the greatest

I thought this hotel was fantastic and the staff could not do enough for you. The hotel is close to the beach, bus and metro stations and the infinity pool is to die for with the views of Copacabana beach and sugar loaf mountain. My only complaints would be the lack of equipment choice in the gym and the lack of beds by the pool, otherwise no complaints and certainly a great choice of hotel.

Staff was excellent. We had an early flight and it was raining, to my surprise our room was available for early check-in. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff were courteous and helpful. The food was great. The views from the rooftop pool were absolutely stunning. The hotel is in walking distance to Copacabana and Ipanema. We would definitely stay there again.

The staff at front desk were excellent with assisting us on activities we wanted to partake in. The house keeping were excellent with keep up of my room and went above and beyond to provide a great service. The restaurant staff were very accommodating of us while we wanted to try new dishes and recommendations. Overall this hotel and its staff were amazing, and i would definitely stay here again as well as recommend to others.
