Loved our stay! We will be back!
First time at this hotel which was recommended to me by a friend. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and it was a wonderful experience. The suite was amazing. Make sure you check hours if things though bc the Vault & Rotunda were both closed on a Sunday night. So we will be back again to check out both of those areas. Only one suggestion: this hotel is too good to be serving powder creamer with its coffee in the rooms!
Would have been 5 stars but check in was supposed to be at 4 we didn’t get in until 6 after walking around and waiting for them to let us know the room was ready and they never did. Then on top of the 150 being held for 3-5 days which is understandable they charged us an additional 159.16 for no reason now we have to wait 3-5 days for that as well
The heat at our room was not working and the next day we asked for another room. The second room’s shower head was broken and noises from the furnace/blower was keeping us awake entire night. The service was great.
Jerry at check in was great!
Hotel was literally more than me and my wife expected! The vault was great! Room was beautiful
Jerry was the best at the front desk!
Great location for downtown activities. Clean and quiet
Very nice place
Excellent place to stay.
Excellent!
The restaurant was great and our room was ok. There were some issues though. A major light bulb is out, a glass is used/dirty and no spare tissues which we ran out of. We were here for a show which is very convenient to get to.
Enjoyed my birthday stay
Nice
I recommend it
Great location, awesome staff.
Maya and Jordan at the front desk are incredible. Rooms are unique and beautiful
Beautiful Hotel
Beautiful hotel! All four of us did think the pillows were way too thick, but I’m sure some people would love them :-) I usually bring my own, so that’s on me! The Vault lounge is a must see. Great, friendly customer service.
Staff is very accomodating and nice. Great experience
Room was clean and absolutely beautiful! Will be back soon
I thought I had booked a junior suite with a sofa bed but there was no sofa bed when I arrived. I called down and they immediately upgraded me to a much larger suite. Staff was friendly, Centro was excellent, and it was a convenient location, close to all of our events.
Good hotel for a special event
Great experience will come again
Excellent staff and excellent location! Love it!
Great location to HOB, friends met us, easy parking
Everything about this hotel is excellent. Highly recommend. Valet service was super convenient as well.
Plenty of food options. Staff was excellent and location awesome
Very nice spot but wasnt easy to find out what food options are open during the day or night. Kim is fantastic, so nice and helpful. It was a great stay
Excellent stay in a beautiful hotel. Beds are super comfy!
Very nice hotel close to the stadium. Was a bit pricey that weekend
.
Hotel is dirty and understaffed. Our rooms were filthy and the bedding was stained. When you needed to reach the front desk or room service no one would answer the phone, or if they did they would put you on hold for 15 minutes and forget about you. Definitely not worth the price by any means.
The rooms are very small and they don’t give you enough towels. We didn’t even have a towel to step out of the shower on. Also, for the price of this hotel, our view was just staring at another building. They did not even give us the option to upgrade to a better view, which they could have easily sold us on. The Vault and the rooftop are great but I wouldn’t spend the money to stay here again. The rooms at the Crown Plaza and The Hyatt are much nicer.
Staff were friendly, professional, and helpful.
Nice large room, but pricy
The rooms suites were quite modern and large however they also seem quite pricey for the level of quality
Unfortunately at that price point i would expect way better accommodations. Our room was not clean at all. Everything had a layer of dust on it. The bathroom mirror's had dust and hair on them. Would not stay here again.
Location is the best thing
Hotel location is great. Room was cleanish. Bed was comfortable. Staff and valet were awful.
Walk to and from the Guardian games. The 9 rooftop bar and basement Vault bar. Highly recommended couple’s getaway.
Great fun clean place.
Great property
Loved it!
Very nice hotel, but very expensive. The front desk found out it was our anniversary and upgraded our room no charge which was awesome. Housekeeping staff could be more attentive (there was no coffee in the room) but the front desk actually made me some and had it brought to the room. I appreciated the attentiveness of the front desk. Overall a very nice stay.
It’s always great!
matress was so worn that our bed was having a slope.
Great stay in CLE. Particularly liked the Vault bar. Room was nice. Lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance.
Easy in / easy out. Plenty of dining, drinking, shopping, in walking distance. Great casino near by.
Staff was accommodating and very nice. Room could have been cleaned better..Overall a goid stay
Best place to stay in Cleveland!
Everyone was very polite and kind. The hotel was very sexxy perfect for my weekend.
Beautiful hotel with a wonderful restaurant for dinner. We loved the rooftop bar and the speakeasy Vault bar in the basement was so cool(was an old bank). The Hotel staff are all super nice and top-notch.
The valet is expensive and very slow
My favorite place to stay in Cleveland.
I love staying here .. walking distance to everything ..staff is always wonderful and never disappoint
It was a beautiful hotel; the food was horrible and, the towels felt like rocks, and there was no electricity in the bathroom. The food was the most disappointing part, especially for the price.
Putting on the ritz
The staff were wonderful and very helpful the 9 never dissapoints. The only point i had of issue the took care of promptly and very nice about it. I wiuld highly recommend.
I paid $50 for valet which is overpriced, all for the skinny valet girl to steal out my car.
Not what you'd expect for the price
Check-in was clumsy and not at all a high end experience unfortunately. Room was nothing at all special. Everything felt heavily used and abused - visibly not well taken care of in my opinion. Best part of the stay was the overpriced but friendly and fast valet staff. Won't ever be coming back to this property unless it changes hands or gets remodeled/refreshed.
The hotel was beautiful, felt very clean and had all of the amenities I'd expect.
The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, especially for the price of the hotel room.
My solo getaway
My experience is always wonderful at the 9 and I'll always go back ..love yall
Beautiful property
Once the construction is done getting to the convenient store is done.
People do make a difference!
David, from the night shift at the Reception, made the entire difference on my trip. He was prompt to move me in the middle of the night to a quiet room, allowing me a much needed night of sleep as there were heavy street construction noises. Linens need to be replaced and seems that the hotel is working on it.
Super friendly easy access to everything
Restaurent was EXCEPTIONAL. Best hotel bed EVER.
staff excellent.
Beautiful hotel and rooms. Mostly enjoyed our massage with Lolo. She was amazing!!! Definitely would come back and stay at the Metropolitan and get another massage with Lolo!!
Very nice and modern hotel
We stayed at the 9 because it was fairly close to our destination for the day-the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (just down East 9th). The front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Our room was ready early, which was surprising and nice. The room was large and bright. The bed was a little too hard (for me), but other than that it was an extremely comfortable room. The open-concept tub, sink and shower area was an interesting design idea, although I can imagine that it might not be to everyone’s tastes. For breakfast, we had our choice of in-room or restaurant dining and everything on the menu looked good. We had the avocado toast and eggs with a side of chicken sausage.Delicious! Checkout was fast and easy, as was the valet parking that we used. I would definitely stay here again, it is so close to everything, including Playhouse Square.
Great place to stay
Greeted by Holly who was amazing. Even though we were early she let us check in and upgraded up. It really started the experience off right. The room was lovely and welcoming with all the amenities.
Overall it wasn’t worth the cost.
App said check in was 3pm. Hotel site showed 4pm. We arrived 4:15 & hotel said they had people who did not check on time & all the rooms were not ready. We have to wait another hour in lobby for the room. We had dinner show tickets & this made getting ready a rush once we had our room. Rooms were clean & nice. They said they upgraded us to a better room, however it was the same room on app we booked. All bar items in the room were extremely expensive. One coffee kcup was $3 for 6 ounce cup. Breakfast for two w/one meat, 2 eggs and toast 60 bucks. Valet was $48 a night in an open air lot. Great location with grocery store on corner. Pretty central in general.
this hotel was a nice hotel, good food around, staff was nice, my issue is with the room itself and specifically the availability of certain things, there was no water in the room except from the mini bar for an extra charge. the option i had was to go to the front desk and ask for water, but it was not supplied. also, no in room coffee or Tea, it was a kcup machine byt $3 for each k-cup used. this was a big turn off, the room was stocked with alcohol and snacks, but all for a charge. no robes, no extra blankets, no extra pillows. the closet was outside the room and so was the dresser. it was a weird set-up.
My husband and I stayed here while attending a show and I can’t say enough good about the property. The staff is all so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The front desk staff are amazing! Nikki and Kendra you both are an amazing asset to the hotel!! The valet staff are all great. The on-site bar options and restaurant have great food at reasonable prices. We would definitely stay again when in Cleveland!
Nickle and dime for everything and not that special.
Liked the security to access the elevators
The most friendliest staff ever. Good was also amazing. Would highly recommend a stay here.
It is a nice hotel and the rooms are cute. My room was a little dusty though. Walls are also a little thin.
Easy walking distance to area dining Progressive and Rocket Mortgage. Visit the roof top bar. I would definitely stay here again. Valet parking was easy only waited 10 min for our car. Front desk was very accommodating and nice.
Always good!!! I stay at the Metropolitan 9 every time I come to The Cleveland Clinic which is usually a couple times per year. Love it & the location!!!!
We would definitely stay here again. We had a two queen room and it had a large sitting area with a couch and another tv. Very roomy and comfy. But this room also seemed designed for couples based on the artwork and the frosted glass separation for the bathroom/shower. The bathroom was large and had a bathtub, shower and two sinks. Very spacious. It also had a regular door for toilet separation. Just wish there would have been a fan in there. Some thing that were minor inconveniences: figuring out the light switches. One switch by the door turned on the lights for the whole room. (There were other light switches to control the other lights in the room, but this was the main switch.) The minor annoyance was it also left the door hallway light on. Another annoyance was the shower gel/shampoo/conditioner. It was all heavily scented for men. Oakey & woody. Also wish there were do not disturb signs to hang. Some pluses for us: lots of outlets throughout the room. Lots of elevators. They were all working and quick. Laundry service. In room dining service: the menu was a bit different from actually calling a to-go order in from their restaurant, The Centro. But the food was good and better priced. The first night we stayed, we called and picked up a to-go order. Chicken parm, florentine ravioli, and braised short ribs. They were pricey, ($115 or so) but everything was delicious. And valet had plenty of space to pull up in. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Luxurious, but not my cup of tea
It's a very well-appointed hotel, but I found the layout of the room a bit strange, with towel racks in the bathroom and the translucent shower wall beside the bed. The art in the room showed images of parts of women's bodies shot in soft porn lighting which I found very off-putting. We had a great breakfast at Centro, and toured all the bars. We wanted to have a drink in The Vault but there was no staff on a Thursday night. The view is great from the rooftop bar but it was quite noisy
Always great service and rooms are always nice
Rooms weren’t ready on tome
The parking/valet was very understaffed and it was pouring rain (bad combo). Check-in was quick and friendly. The common areas are a little worn but all staff interactions have been very positive.
Great stay!
Overall, the hotel was fine, but I wouldn’t stay again for the price. It was clean. The light switch situation was weird. You had to turn on a main switch, then individually turn on other lights? I only stayed one night, so didn’t take the time to figure it out.
Our Repeat choice related to Guardian baseball events. Valet park, large quiet rooms, comfortable bed, walk to stadium, walk back, seamless
Sebek Battle went above and beyond to assure my group a special occasion in The Vault. We had an excellent time. Thank you. Colorvine
Entertaining place, comfy beds, but overpriced.
The decor was fun. The gym was great and open 24/7. The common places were kind of dirty. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom layout was very strange. We were in a Double Queen Suite and the bathtub and shower were exposed to the room. I could understand this layout in a King Suite where you would be a single couple having a good time, but with a Double Queen Suite you should assume it's more than one couple staying in the room. Why would the other couple want to watch you shower? Of if you're traveling with your kids, why would you kids want to see that? It was weird. The Vault bar was great. Fun seating, excellent drinks, the bar tender was friendly and knowledgeable. The Ledger Bar was average, nothing fancy, the bartender was also friendly, though not as knowledgeable. Eden was greatly disappointing. All the greenery was plastic, no actual plants. I ordered a sangria and they gave me a a splash of red wine with a splash of triplesec, topped with sparkling water and an orange slice. That my friend, is not sangria. I gave it back to the bartender and she was kind enough to make a blackberry margarita, which was delicious. The service at Centro for the dinner service was good, a little slow, but very friendly. The food was average. The service at lunch at Centro was not good. It was very slow, we had to ask for someone to wait on us, then when they came, they were passive aggressive with us. Overall the place was very overpriced for what it is.
Will be back again soon.
Eh…go elsewhere.
Definitely disappointing. This property is not being well cared for. The hallway carpeting had not been swept (see photos) and they are not keeping up with basic items in need of attention. The photo of the wall shows layers of dust adhered to the wall covering. The chair was torn and our end table was very beat up. On a positive note- the room was very quiet. The desk staff was mediocre at best. For the price, I expect more.
The service felt pretty amateur. I paid 5 star prices For a 4 star property and felt like all of the employees had 2 star training. No one was dressed professionally. The bar in the lobby was incredibly short staffed and ill equipped to handle a Saturday crowd. When leaving the hotel in the morning, I requested the rooms be made up. Upon arriving back 4 hours later, I discovered they had not been. Three separate employees said “well they have until the end of the business day to do it.” I am not sure why everyone had the same response. However, the correct response in hospitality is a simple “we apologize and will have it done right away.” The property was beautiful. It had an overall feel of lacking the sophistication and elegance that the architecture and interior design would lead you to believe it has. They either need to come down in price or come up in service. Definitely a diamond in the rough.
Amazing hotel, amazing and friendly staff
Nicest hotel I've been in
It had been awhile since I had a good time. My stay was beyond remarkable
Very Nice
Friendly and helpful staff, in the middle of town, lots to do and see…fantastic stay..would stay again..
Great experience, great location. We stayed because it was so close to Progressive Field and Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. Staff was always very polite and helpful. Room was very clean. Dining inside the hotel was excellent.
Great service. Friendly staff.
Love it!
Everything was wonderful! Staff is super friendly, food is delish, beds are comfy and Michael makes the best drinks ever!
Check in was seamless. Property was clean and staff was friendly.
Everything about our stay was fantastic -- the room amenities, huge soaking tub and shower, nice seating area and fireplace, beautiful lighting. The doors sliding open to the bedroom in front of the tub are cool. It's the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in-- we never heard anyone the whole time we were there and the property was almost sold out. The food at the on property restaurant was delicious and the service amazing. The Vault bar is such a cool place with incredible cocktails. Everyone we interacted with has wonderful customer service, and the valet was great even though the weather was terrible that night. The hotel allowed us to hold our bags at the front desk after checkout so we could go to brunch down the street before taking the car out of valet. Overall an amazing experience, I would stay here over and over again.
10/10!
Highly recommend! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Beds are so comfortable. Enjoyed my stay here for my birthday. Restaurants are amazing as well!
My wife and I thought the hotel, room and all of its amenities were outstanding. The staff was extraordinarily friendly! We will stay here again.

Hotels.com didn't provide what was on the website.
Didn't get the room I booked. I booked a single king with a fireplace and I got a dubble queen with a fireplace that didn't work. The room was dusty. The Vault bar was closed for a wedding party. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
