Villa at Massanutten
Everything worked well in the villa we stayed in. Some minor improvements would be coat hangers on the wall and door mats to clean snowy boots on. The pillows werent that comfortable, bring your own. Great space for a small family. Lots of deer hanging around, beautiful views.
Comfortable and Generous
We were housed in a different property from the original booking. We enjoyed our stay at Innsbruck Summit Properties. You should advertise more of this condo property, its located on the hillside and view is amazing. My family and I will definitely come back here.
The property itself was fine. The tv would not work and it took 3 calls to maintenance. Once they got it on, it kept skipping and freezing every 10-15 seconds for the remainder of the visit. So trying to relax was immensely frustrating, especially with 3 kids wanting to chill and watch tv.
Went to a resort during “off season” less stuff to do.
The unit is in need of an update. The unit itself was difficult to find. Need better signage. If stairs is a problem this is not the unit for you
I was very disappointed in the suite. Everything was so old and out dated. AC units were so loud as were the bathroom fans. The suite we got was not what was shown on Hitels. Com when I booked. TV’s are super small. Was not what I expected.
The condo we rented was in a delapidated building with creaky almost rotten floor boards in the entrance… multiple level building no ADA entrance. When we finally made it into the room we immediately noticed it was roach infested. Roaches everywhere!!!! It was a nightmare. We checked out soon after and all they said was sorry. They tried accommodating but you can pretty much assume that if one unit is infested so is the entire building!! Oh and not to mention they tried selling us a tour to buy time shares. Will never set foot in this place. Dont be fooled by the ratings.
Very nice and perfect getaway
We arrive checked in and went back to the room to unload. Room had a funny smell and very outdated look like it was from the 80s. Very big and spacious. Came back to the room after dinner started unpacking then started to see baby German roaches and they was everywhere. I went to the front desk the staff and manager was very nice about it and moved us to another loaction no questions asked. The next place we got was very nice and updated. Very pleased with how they handled the situation.
Mass-a-nutten but terrible!
My family and I drove 13 hours from Florida. We thought Massanutten would be a nice place for our family. We were traveling with 5 kids. Four of the kids are 9 and under. Hotels.com stated that the water park was included. When we arrived we were basically called liars by the manager, Tyler Texeire, and he claimed they have no control over what hotels.com advertises. He had zero customer service skills. He kept saying he would help us out but had no intention of helping in any way. When we reached our “villa”, we were assaulted with a smell like the rooms hadn’t been opened in years. We then found a broken lock, broken drawers, disgusting looking towels, and mold in the air vent. We immediately looked for new accommodations elsewhere and left. Do yourself a favor and DON’T stay here. Just gross and the management is rude. Even the waitress and a restaurant down the street said the place had gone downhill!
People on the resort were outstanding!!! It’s isolated, so bring everything you need (except one roll of toilet paper). Be prepared to drive 30 minutes to get everything else you need. A couple little markets on the resort have some basics with “healthy markups.” The condo I had was lacking - poor lighting throughout, peculiar long narrow bathroom (rooms for water heater and the such in entrance, light switch across the room (not at entrance) made night time tough, small shower with cheap shower head, plastic curtain), lousy TV.
Great stay room different from what was expected
we absolutely loved it
Worst property. Had to leave a day before. Sent email to property for refund.
Everything and the entire staff was awesome and friendly
This was horrible… the check in process wasn’t too unpleasant except u had to go to multiple different counters just before you could leave all so they could sell you stuff which was annoying. They switched our room four times because they kept putting us in the nastiest rooms first to see if we would just settle with those rooms. One room the ceiling was leaking and had mold in it. Another condo there were cracks and holes in the tub. We finally begged them to put us in an updated room after they said they had nothing available that they were completely booked but when they put us in a more newly renovated room all the other condos around us were empty so of course that was a lie. We had three kids with us and it was almost midnight and I felt like that alone some empathy should have been shed on the situation. It honestly was not worth the trip me and my family took to go here there are better places to go if u want to experience the mountains 🏔️ and do some water activities.
Hotel was roach infested!
Nasty hotel room I can’t believe it was roaches in every room every bathroom and kitchen! I went back to Massanutten Resort front desk and even tho I booked through hotels.com they still compensated me and my family by upgrading my two bedroom condo to Eagles Trace and it was soo soo but THIS HOTEL ROOM IS TRASH DONT BOOK! I wish I took pictures to prove and post it!
Great place to begin hold family
The hot tub did do work fire place was complicated and romote needs batteries but it was beautiful
After we finished the check-in, they bombarded us with free offers from the resort. We repeatedly asked them if there was any reciprocation to these offers, and will we lose money, but they said no it's completely optional. So we decided to choose the tour offer where we would need to tour the property for two hours and in return they would give us a deposit and they said it's optional. Next morning they called us to schedule the tour and I said we couldn't do the tour because of a time shortage. The receptionist replied in a hurried way that I would lose the 50$ deposit. I was shell-shocked as they never explained to me I would lose anything and they mentioned it was optional. During checkout, I reached out to them and they showed me the asterisk in the offer card that if I failed to do the tour the deposit would be lost. Most people won't bother to read all the bullet points and the asterisks in the contract when they are just tired and ready to go to the room, so they ask questions like we did to make sure there's no catch. However, they never mentioned the catch. I just think they could have been more professional. it is unacceptable that they can go that low to get people.
Overall stay was good and we'd go back to another property type. The Shenandoah Villa unit we stayed in had a broken gas fireplace (which they fixed an hour before checkout). The large whirlpool tub was a disappointment. A centipede came out when the jets were started and after running it, there was foul smell that rendered the tub unusable. The smell was so bad!
We booked a couple nights here because we saw the picture of the pool and we thought it would be a great spot for our family. The pool pictured is not a pool as labeled. It is a water park that costs $55 per person. We got a call and they asked us to come on a time share tour. I was told it would last two hours and we would receive breakfast and 4 water park tickets. The “tour” started at 8am and we did not get out of there until 12:30pm. 4.5 hours later. We saw a unit but that was it. When we got back to our room 2.5 hours after checkout we were locked out of our room. We drove 10 minutes each way back to the front desk to get our keys reactivated only to still be locked out of our room. We had to call security to help us get our stuff out of the room. By this time it was 2 pm. The kids only had a couple hours to play in the water park before we had to leave. If you love time shares and pools that close at 7 pm (it reads 10pm on this site) then this is your place.
Nice place but bed and furniture needs updates.
There are 70 steps to get into your condo. That’s a lot when you have luggage and need to climb a hill to get into your unit. The steps are so old they are collapsing. The unit is very outdated, has a mildew smell. The pictures are deceiving. Nothing compared to what this place actually looks like. The sheets had mud on them. All the amenities were either closed or not functioning.
Hard sell time share suites mixed in with condo rentals. Misleading and pushy
I wasn’t aware until I arrived that there was an adjoining door to the rest of the house. It totally caught me off guard. I could also smell the people in the other part of the house smoking marijuana. However upon notifying the main office, they were able to switch me to a different house.
great family getaway
Check in and check out were easy. Rooms were in good condition and spacious. Kitchen was well-equipped.
Excellent services easy check in and very clean
We love the spacious of the rooms We had booked three condos AB and C the owls on the stoves did not work Remote controls did not work the rooms did not appear to be clean we had a group of 12 spending time with our family made it worthwhile
Not up to my standards. The first room they gave me was old, outdated and the tub with the jets was the worst. I turned the jets on and the unit smelled like something died in it. After speaking to two different ppl at the front desk my family and I was moved. This unit was not cleaned properly. There was a bowl with mode in the refrigerator, ants, refrigerator wasn’t working properly. I rate my overall stay at a 0
The villas need to be updated. Mattress was uncomfortable. Sofa bed was HORRIBLE with nothing but a thin layer of sheet between the springs and the top. At least provide a thick mattress cover to protect against the springs! No coffee in the room. Room service was unresponsive to request. Not coming back.
There was an inch and half gap on the front door. The people above us were so loud, it sounded like they were moving furniture.
The place was okay. I did not receive the room I requested. I asked for a room with a queen and 2 twins and instead got 2 queen beds. This caused one of my children to sleep on the couch. The check in process was extremely too long. They should have had more people working knowing the amount of people checking in. The internet barely worked in the home. There was snow on the stairs coming down that was not treated until the following morning. I just recently had surgery on my knee and this made getting down to the house in the dark very difficult.
For the price it was great for me and the kids, you get what you pay for.
Pictures were a little misleading. Condo met our overall needs.
I liked the big bathrooms. The propane fireplace pilot light appeared to give off a weird smell as if it was not burning correctly. It appeared the smoke detectors were not combination smoke and CO detectors, which if that is the case is alarming since a propane gas fireplace is present.
Great view from our multiple balconies. Lots of activities for visitors . Condos are a little dated . The steps are poorly light going to the condo.
The property we stayed at (Shenandoah Villas) was clean and spacious). We had a 2BD/2BA for our family of 4 and everyone had space to stretch out and move around. It's helpful to have all of the kitchen amenities you need to prepare meals. And the drive to get to other parts of the property is pretty easy. Plenty of parking was available around the property as well.
Close to skiing. Did not match picture. It was more of a hotel room instead of its own unit.
Great location real big resort. Condo was awesome huge jetted tubs in every bathroom. Real nice vibes
There was no running water in the bathroom upstairs and property needs to be updated
Nice location, cute condo, beautiful setting. Loved the wood burning fireplace.
Carpets too dirty my wife have to be clean
Desperate need for upgrade
All of the furniture and the appliances need to be redone at this part of the resort. The beds were uncomfortable, the sofa has almost no padding, and there was only one shower head which was very low in the wall. The tubs looked scary. There is little air exchange between the lower and upper floor. Overall disappointing stay.
The property was dated. The faucets had small leaked. It was cleaned. I don’t know why we had to strip the beds and collect all the linens. We are not owners we were just renting.
The bed was broken, there was mouse droppings all over the counters and mice running all night. Ants everywhere. The pullout had springs poking through. Mostly everything was closed. I checked out a day early cause it was like I was staying in a run down piece of crap and the management didn’t even offer to switch rooms for us even thou it was dead around there. We had a whole strip of villas to our self. Very disappointed and will take my business to the poconos from now on.
It was clean. The furniture was outdated.
The property was spacious and clean, the upstairs room gets very hot in the summer. There were some spiderwebs but overall everything was working and we had a good time.
Our accommodations were clean and very spacious. Large bathrooms. Showers had great water pressure. Was hoping our villa would be like the one pictured on the website but we got one that was a different layout and could use a little updating. However, overall the accommodations were quite satisfactory.

Upon arriving I was given the key to a room and once I got there which was 2 miles up the mountain. The keys didn't work. I went back down the mountain 2 miles and was given another key, so I went back up the mountain 2 miles and once inside there was a room full of other people's belongings. I exited the room immediately. Went back down the mountain 2 miles and was given the right key went back up the mountain 2 miles. We also left our pizza on the counter that night and by morning. black ants were everywhere. We had a wonderful time at the water park and the staff did do their best to fix all the issues we had
