A dump. Stained bedspread. Chair with torn upholstery. Everything is really beat up.
An unknown gem. Appears a little worn but a deal the price and that jacuzzi was smoking
The price was very economical. Front desk staff were very nice and kind! The room was not fancy but suitable for a nights stay for early morning procedure at a nearby hospital! Equipped with a frig, microwave, tv, roomy closet, and newer flooring. However there was a large hole in the arm on an overstuffed chair. The walkway, outside on the 2nd floor rooms were busted and could be a fall hazard for some ppl. We parked under an awning but there was a huge sign stating the facility was not responsible for damaged vehicles. We had no problems with our vehicle. Overall, an ok stay for what we needed but if I was visiting downtown Springfield for visiting for a few days while touring Lincoln sights, I would not stay there.
I like to stay here. It isn't fancy, but it's decent.
Had a good weekend stay there while being in Springfield. A lot of shops and food around
place was clean and the front desk clerk was very friendly.
The room was economically priced. Shower curtain was broken. Paint peeling off the walls. Homeless folks sleeping outside on property. Has friendly staff. Room was clean.
Much better!
Very nice remodel!
The appearance of the hotel from the outside was horrifying. The room was clean and updated. No cable only 2 small towels. Pillows are junk but bed was comfortable.
It was freezing in the room. They had the heat off and I blasted it all the way and even when by the time i checked out it still was freezing.
As someone who travels with family, I felt extremely unsafe upon arriving at this hotel. The premises were poorly maintained, and there were strange people around, which added to the unsettling atmosphere. I did not feel it was a safe environment for my family, so I left immediately without checking in. The lack of security and the concerning presence of unfamiliar individuals made it impossible to stay. Families should avoid this hotel if they value their peace of mind.
Terrible
Almost froze to death. Heat barely worked in the room. All of the lamps were unplugged when I went into my room. So I had to get them plugged in before I could see anything. The phone in the room did not work. The secondary door latch was busted. Will not stay here again.
The bed was uncomfortable, the pillows were frumpy, shower curtain wouldn't close, no elevator, very loud. Front door was locked when I went to check out had to ring the bell, had to wait almost 10 minutes to check out
You get what you pay for...
Between the train, the coming and going of a particular vehicle and the paper thin walls, there was nothing remotely quiet. The nearly sheer towels left so much lint it took the ancient blow dryer to get it off. The 'coffee maker' heats the water then shuts off so the coffee gets cold. Check in was slow and disorganized.
Great staff
when we pulled in there were kids riding their bikes around the property and looking in cars. The lobby was clean, but when we went to our room it was okay. I reserved and prepaid for a king bed and got two double beds. There are signs in the parking area saying hotel is not responsible for theft or damage to personal property. The only way to get hot water was to turn the cold water off and then you had no water pressure. When I dried off with the towel I was left with long black hair on me, I have short blonde hair. We checked out earlier then we planned.
Great service and location
Great location and pleasant staff.
The staff are very attentive and helpful. The location is great, easy to walk to the sites and many good options.
Wanted to Like It
I feel bad saying this, but this is a last-resort kind of place. The location and price are the two main pluses, and the people who checked me in and out were perfectly kind and courteous. On the minus side: abandoned vehicles in the parking lot, cracks in the second level concrete walkways (going to fall off soon??) filthy room, stains on the bedding, stains on the carpet, hair on the sink, and a strong stink of fresh paint covering up lord-knows-what stains on the wall. Read the reviews so you know what you’re booking.
Everything went well with my stay!
The toilet didn't work properly and the curtains were set up to let too much light Into the room at night which made it difficult to sleep. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Hotel staff was great and helpful. Clean rooms and hot water :)
I chose this hotel on a impulsive decision which is most of my decisions the manager of this location is very kind he let me check in several hours early friendly staff my room was huge I paid 77.39 for what was really two rooms I would absolutely go back there again 10/10
Very rundown
Poor condition of property. Unsafe. Police on property
Property on the outside doesnt look great. Room was ok.
Terrible terrible
The people were very rude at first they gave me a room that was still occupied this smell terrible of smoke there was mold on the wall and the Wi-Fi did not work at all they told me check out was 11 but they made me leave my room at 10:00 a.m. as well as others that was guests there.
Springfield
Great trip. But there was an Amtrak train just outside my window and it was used multiple times a day.
The toilet wasn't working. Room smelled musky. The bed was uncomfortable and hard. People were partying and doing drugs outside of our room
This place was ruin down and needs alot of work. It is dusty and put of date. The mattresses were held together with masking tape. There is no suitable drinking water. Will not be staying here ever again.
When pulling into the property it looked deserted. The property conditions were horrible. Room windows were dirty, paint peeling, weeds growing through the cracked concrete. There was one running car in the parking lot with very dark tinted windows and I couldn't see who was in the vehicle. When walking into the lobby there was an odd smell that didn't smell very good. I asked if I could get a refund. I was told no refund since I prepaid. I went ahead and checked in. The location of my room was climbing up two flights of stairs with the landing in an L shape, which was dark and a door leading to the unknown. When walking into the room the light switch didn't work & I had to walk into a dark room with the door left open so I could turn on a light. The first light didn't work but two lights did work. The room was very hot. No air conditioning was turned on for the customer. I have no idea if the mattress was clean because I didn't feel safe in the room. I decided not to stay and I told him that I was checking out and not staying. I told him I felt unsafe and there was no other people staying here. He assured me it was safe. No refund offered so I just left and drove home. I was so upset I started crying because I was out money and had to drive home and return the next morning. I have never had the feeling about anywhere I have ever stayed. I do not recommend anyone staying at Mansion View Inn. Just horrible conditions. I should have been refunded my money.
Gross
Absolutely disgusting! Ashes from someone smoking still everywhere , what I can only hope was someone’s old rice all over the floor by the bed , horrible mildew smell and everything had a slimy feel to it . Once we checked in and parked someone else staying there came out , asked if we were staying and then went back inside making me feel as though my vehicle and I were being watched . Walkways full of baby strollers and trash so we could barely scoot by to my room.
Never Again!!!
Room was disgusting. Was so tired didn't turn on lights or would not have stayed here. No sweeping no mopping. Prior guests hair in sink, bathtub everywhere. Blood on the shower curtain... Photos won't load to show how disgusting
Foundered like a train was going right through the room. The manager was very nice but the cliental left a little to be desired
The room ranked of mold. It wasn't the cleanest nor the best of shape but I guess in a pinch and a budget it worked
One night stay.
We stayed for one night while touring USA. Chose this hotel due to proximity to Lincoln’s Home. I have a disability which the room really was not set up for. I had to change my stoma bag in the bedroom as that is where the sink was. We asked for a lower room but there was not one available. Lift was not working. Room was tired. Shower rail hanging off, paint and plaster flaking off the ceiling. Bath taps didn’t switch on easily. Floor flooded while we were showering.
It was filthy, i could not even stay there.
The shower was a rusted cruddy mess. The phones message light flashed all night. The bed was wore out.
The property is under new management very quiet and clean. Need updating, hopefully the new ownership will make that happen sooner rather than later. Overall I was comfortable, rates were very reasonable I must say. Will stay again
La alfombra del cuarto está muy sucia, la tina ni se diga está sucia orrible.
