New construction was an annoyance but I survived it. Was quiet at night and they helped to keep noise to a minimum. Other qualities helped overshadow construction issues. This property faces best beach in world. Go because of that. Great restaurants within easy walking distance. Owner lives onsite with sons to help run the place.

Very nice place. Limited amenities in the room but expected due to the price. Unit had a full kitchen with some utencils included. Clean and in good condition. Well worth the cost. Excellent location. Would be nice if they had a staffed office but for questions but understand why they dont. Definitely would stay here again.

Will be back again

Property is great, located in the heart of West End in the middle of Half Moon bay. We stayed 10 days in the Moroccan bungalow, which was spacious and clean. Communication with the owner was excellent. We booked an airport transfer with the room, and the driver was on time and stopped at the grocery store for us before taking us to West End. There was construction going on during our visit, but the workers kept the pathways free of dirt/mud even though a lot was washing out in the rain every day. For most rooms, there are a lot of stairs- something to consider for those unable to handle it. It’s far enough off the main road to be quiet and feels secluded with the nice gardens around the property. Can’t wait to go back here!

Really good stay

The stay was beyond amazing we had a wonderful time. It was perfect location to the bay. Only down side is the limited amount of towels and when we got clean towels they smelled old.

Good place for the price.. ground level rooms are the nicest. Would stay there again

Check in was interesting, we ended up paying twice for the room, once with expedia and then they wanted cash when we checked in. I explained that we had paid through expedia buy still wanted us to pay in cash. just easier at that point to pay the cash. had a dog barking all night long. not a good property to stay.

Perfect location!

Mame trees was excellent! The most perfect location right across the street from the most perfect beach! My deluxe room was clean and spacious. The only thing I needed was a blanket because I was only given a sheet. However, I noticed on the last day that a blanket could have been requested on some written directions. I was a bit confused where to check in as the directions said to go up the hill, but there was a “no trespassing” sign on the gate. However, the day time worker was luckily walking by and saw me confused and helped me check in. Super friendly guy! I will definitely be back to Roatan and will most certainly stay at the Mame Tree again. Oh- also they provide beach loungers- big bonus!

Very clean and specious also if your looking for some tranquility this is the place. The beach is literally at you feet, just a walk down the path way and you are there.We stayed in the bungalow (2nd floor) and it was perfect for our family. It was supplied with all the kitchenette items you many need, a refrigerator with freezer, a coffee maker, stove and blender. It really felt like home. Make sure you bring extra dish soap, toilet paper, body wash, shampoo and conditioner or you could buy these extra items at the local store with in a two min walk. Staff ( Jose, Marvin and the older gentleman) are very helpful and attentive. They will help get your questions or concerns straighten out or point you in the right directions. They maintain and keep the outside of this facility looking clean and sharp. They should be praised!!

Nive place to stay

Everything was fine. nice room, not far from shops and restaurants. Left early because of pending hurricane.

Great location, very walkable to all West End has to offer. Really loved the location and the view.

I will definitely stay again. Totally worth the price. Close to the beach, shopping, entertainment. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The room is clean and AC worked so well we had to turn it down.

Great location walking out onto the beach front with dining, shopping & groceries in both directions. You are on the heart of the main street so everything in the area is walkable. I felt incredibly safe and we had the best beach views. The owner is lovely & friendly, speaking great English which was helpful! Room was a very generous size however we had a power outage both days (not the propertys fault, the entire street was out). Highly reccomend, very satisfied!!

Was an ok stay

The location was fantastic but we had a few issues. First when we got there we were informed that you would have to pay an extra 19% if we used a credit card. Second, the door to our room didn't lock. 3rd, there wasn't any soap, shampoo, or conditioner. When we asked if they had any the employee told us where a store was to buy some. The place did have a safe feel to it but it's not cool having to worry about if your belongings are ok when you leave because the door won't lock. There are many stores, bars, and dive shops close by so the location is excellent. Also, use the cheap buses on your stay in Roatan. No need to rent a car.

Beautiful property with lush folage. Very centrally located with shops, eateries and beach. Use of beach chairs a plus. Very friendly and helpful owners, called me cab to airport and always answered my emails quickly. You will have to bring toiletries. Complete kitchen. Highly recommended

Love the feeling of being inside a beautiful tropical garden. Property is kept very clean and is situated exactly at 2 minutes walking to the beautiful Half Moon beach. Hes, I time it ;-) Our “mame room” was huge and well equipped with fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Nicely decorated with the cutest dining set ever. Room looks like a small cute cavern. Husband and I joke about living in The Flinstones era. Loved it, we felt like children again LOL Personnel very kind and helpful, the owners treat guests with respect and made us feel welcome and appreciated Thank you so much Mame Trees family. When back to Roatán, for sure we’ll stay again Saludos a todos de Ingrid and Bernardo

Stayed for 11 nights & the location is perfect. Anything you need is within walking distance. Only negative was the “step down”, when exiting the toilet. I didn’t have the light on & crashed into door frame, first day. Bloody arm that needed a lot of neosporin & bandaids. Would definitely stay there again.
