The property was very clean - best I’ve seen. Spa in main bathroom was not accessible when 1 BR booked assumed it would be. Security was poor, night gate was not locked as out of order so lift to apartment was accessible from street. No key required to access lift. Excellent view from apartment to beach.

Nice property in a great location .

Room with a view! Not too big and not too small. Clean spacious apartment with all you need right outside your door. Reception and staff were friendly, informative and accommodating. Pool was great very clean grounds. Listening to the waves every moring and night was so relaxing and a true affordable holiday! Parking underground was Very very tight.. the only negative.

The location was great

It is a very peaceful place and I loved having just the screen door so I could listen to the waves and see the stars at night. I wish reception had been more consistent. It was mostly unattended or the cage would be down but someone was there and just ignoring people. I found that odd and awkward. Not sure why they weren’t available. When I did ask them something they were nice but they weren’t very welcoming. I didn’t feel Confident leaving my luggage as they were so unpredictable that I just took it with me instead of stowing it for a few hours.

Great location for beach, dining, shopping. Quick lift 😊. Staff very helpful. Unit was clean and had everything you would want for a short stay.

The property looked out onto the sea and was handy for the shops and bars and especially the beach. Big plus was the underground parking. Very friendly young lady on reception who made sure we were happy ang gave us suggestions for trips, bars etc..

They need to keep up with other accommodation. eg better amenities Shampoo, Conditioner. Body wash, Body Lotion, Tissues, Pool Towels. These extra little touches would make such a difference. Great location.

Great view and close to Mooloolaba Surf Club. Perfect for SLS events. Spa bath was awesome for athletes recovery.

We stayed for 2 nites freindly staff great location .unit was clean everything worked .basement parking a bit squeezy but got used to it car was off the street all good .

We had a courtyard room so the extra outdoor space was good for the kids. The table top and other surfaces were sticky. The location was very handy. The carpets were a bit old and ripped near the doorway. It was a bit noisy having the garbage chute in the hallway inside the room because we were on a lower floor we heard lots of other residents rubbish being thrown down the chute. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Easy to find your way around the Sunshine Coast from this wonderful property. Many great dining spots within walking distance. Facilities in the units are of excellent standard.

The external apartment was good. Really pleased with this apartment. Although, extra cleaning is needed such as the lounges being vacuumed and steam cleaned as they had a smell and bits of scraps underneath and in between the pillows and extra scrubbing in the showers to remove some of the grime. I do recommend that guests are allowed key to access the pool at the Malibu without having to go to reception to get access and are provided with pool towels in the apartment. Other than that our stay was really good. Thank you.

We stayed on the 8th floor and the view was wonderful. We could open our door and hear the waves rolling in as we were just across the road from the beach. The location of this resort can not be beat. You would just walk down stairs and across the road to be on the beach. The esplanade down stairs had shops and many cafes and restaurants that we could try and we did try different ones every day. There was also heaps of ice-cream shops to try too. The room itself was very clean and tidy and was quite enough room for the two of us. The private parking was tight but glad to have it as we didn't have to search for parking on the street which would have been difficult. There is no air conditioner in the main bedroom but we had cool nights while we were there so it was fine for us with just the fan blowing. We would stay here again if we came to Mooloolaba again as we believe it is the best beach to stay at and the units can't be beat.

Fabulous Location and view !

Loved the location and views from our balcony. Very clean apartment. Beds were comfortable and on site undercover parking was a bonus. Huge thanks to Brian who always had a friendly smile and a boisterous hello, he made our stay great! Excellent Restaurants and the beach right outside the front door - Fantastic ! Would definitely stay again.

Was so excited for our first trip with two young kids. Unfortunately the pool was closed for maintenance our entire visit- which was what the kids were looking forward to the most. We had a lovely view of all the other buildings pools though, which was like salt in the wound. Parking spot was nearly impossible for our TINY car to pull into. 2 bedroom suite was big but felt tiny due to awkward shape with bedrooms/bathrooms at one end and a long corridor to get to the living space. Weird angled walls made it very difficult to fit our portacot in our bedroom for our infant. Lots of noise Friday night from a nearby pub made it hard to sleep and the rubbish chute (in each suite) was very loud and woke up the kids after they had gone to bed in the evening. won’t be staying here again.

Centre of Mooloolaba

The welcome to Malibu was very good with much friendliness by the staff. Our unit was very clean and had everything that we required. We overlooked the beach and the complex is in the centre and right on the main walkway for the Mooloolaba shopping precinct. The complex is a little old but this in no way affected our stay. We were overjoyed with the stay there.

Very nice apartment with beautiful views. Has everything you could need & more. Lots of cafes, restaurants & supermarket within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay.

The location is excellent. The building and standard of the apartment we had is best described as tired.

Great location and view, owner was really friendly. While hotel is not brand new, it is well kept and very clean.

The views from the room were outstanding. The proximity to everything on the esplanade was also a 10/10. The building definitely needs some TLC but overall it was clean and pretty comfortable. There is no AC in the bedroom so we found it pretty warm but otherwise it was nice!

The location was amazing. Spacious unit. Wished we stayed longer as we love Mooloolaba. We had to ask for a hair dryer as there wasn’t one in the unit. The spa was not heated, which was a shame as it was still cool being September. We didn’t stay long in the pool area.

Great Spot

We were welcomed warmly after arriving later than expected and booking a room last minute. Nothing was too much trouble and our stay was very comfortable. Great location for an easy walk to shops on the esplanade.

Beautiful ocean view. Cleanliness could have been better, there was dust build up on the ceilings that fell onto the beds. There was also a yucky grey water/sewerage type smell lingering around the whole time we were there. Funny shaped apartments, with bathrooms that aren’t the most practical. The main bathroom would be difficult with small kids.

Perfect location to beach, shops and restaurants. The view from the balcony is amazing. We plan to stay there again!

Location Perfect, Views Perfect, Room nicely furnished and clean. What let us down was that property was advertised as air conditioned, however there was no air conditioning in the bedroom, only the living area. Bedrooms only have ceiling fans and are too far away from living area for air conditioning to reach.

Very helpful staff All the amenities you would need

The location and view are fantastic and the staff were great. The building is pretty old however, so there was a fair bit of rust and mould, particularly around the windows and ceilings. Additionally, the building is not that well insulated from sound so even with the windows closed you can hear the other tenants in their apartments and people outside. However you don't want to close the windows because there is no air con in the rooms and the fans don't have much oomph. The only other thing is the pool is pretty poor. I know they didn't have much space so the lap pool seems great but only a few people can really be there at a time

Malibu Mooloolaba

Had a lovely stay at the Malibu Located in the best position on The Esplanade. All rooms have ocean views but best views are on the upper levels

Was close to everything, clean & mangement pleasant but room was like a hallway with cupboards off it ( the cupboards being the bedrooms).

we loved all the shops and eat places were handy

having a family get together there from different parts of the world staying at Malibu and the other family members close by made it a very enjoyable time.

Very handy to everything. The property needed an upgrade. The Manager could have been a little more friendly. Otherwise not too much to complain about.

Great location, amazing views

We stayed on the ninth floor at the Malibu Mooloolaba for six nights. The one-bedroom apartment was well equipped with all we needed for a comfortable stay. The views of the beach and up the coast were incredible. I was initially concerned that being right in the middle of the strip would be noisy but it was quite the opposite. Having the bedroom positioned at the back of the apartment helps here too. We just loved being able to walk down and join the action right in front of the property. We can't wait to come back.

Unit with stunning views

Beautiful views of ocean, right in the heart of everything. Tiny bedrooms where you had to squeeze between the bed and BIR to get to ensuite and very little space to store luggage. Modern furniture.

Great location and well equiped.

Malibu is an ideal place to stay. Overall a comfortable unit, apart from a couple of things. The air con is in the front living area and the bedroom is at the very back,of the apartment, so is very hot and stuffy. If you open the windows of the bedroom it is very noisy, particularly with some person starting up a blower vac at 6 am and using it for half an hour. There is a ceiling fan, this helps with the heat thankfully. There are roller blinds on the bedroom windows, which are nowhere near block out, and so barely keep out the bright morning sun at 5.30am, nor the heat. We had a problem with the TV remote, it seemed the batteries were flat. Somebody took a look one morning when we weren't there, and we were told it was just the type of remote, and we had to push the buttons harder. 'User error' It was actually quite terrible and very annoying. I know sounds a small thing, but when we wanted a relaxing holiday, it was annoying. Unit was clean, well equiped. Thought it a bit odd that if we wanted more toilet paper we had to pay $1 per roll, even though we stayed 10 nights with just one service after 5 nights. Another small problem, but notable. Internet was ok but there is a limit. Awesome restaurants close at hand, and beautiful beach. We were on level 8 with wonderful views.

Position, Position, Position

Unfortunately the position was the only thing going for this hotel. Great for cafes, beach, restaurants and shopping but sadly in need of an update. Starting to show its age - main bathroom had a shower over a deep bath and unfortunately very hard to get into (especially in the case of my 91 year old mum), main bedroom door would not close and neither did the shower door in the ensuite. Also washing machine had to be replaced while we were there as the old one leaked everywhere.

Slack service average rooms single towel per person minimal effort, lovely view and nice people just required more effort to service room

Loved it! Pleasantly surprised as photos online when booking don't do the place justice. Loved the place, immediately wanted to extend our stay but couldn't due to no availability. Great location. Highly recommend.

Nice appartments on the beach at Mooloolaba

Nice holiday appartments in a great location. Staff were friendly and helpful. My only real complaint is the aircon was not really up to scratch. Just one aircon in the main space that had to cover the other rooms off a long hallway.

Excellent place to stay, million dollar views from every apartment and very friendly and helpful staff

Loved the location.

The apartment was very nice and located right across the road from the beach. We didn't have a great view because we were low enough to have the trees block our view but still nice. We were offered the top floor at an extra cost but decided to stay where we were. The building is situated perfectly right in the mix of everything around the main beach area. We would stay again.

The apartment is fine, but we met with friends at a nearby apartment which was much nicer and cost them less per night - so not that good value for money.

Great location. Beautifully kept property

A lovely property which was in immaculate condition and very obvious owners/managers take pride in their units. So close to eateries, shops, supermarket and beach. Good undercover car park. Friendly staff.

Pleasantly surprised

Apartment was very well appointed & very clean. Bed was comfy with good pillows. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a couple of minor problems in room but they were rectified immediately. Balcony & view was to die for. Central position in Street was perfect. We could walk everywhere. Shopping & dining outlets were great with lots of choice.
