Rooms very basic. Restaurant Ok
The hotel was very well organized for late arrival which was great. The room was average, but the mattress was quite uncomfortable. Breakfast was not at all attractive: little choice, unappetizing pastries, coffee in canteen thermoses… it wasn’t worth the price… The electric charging station was not working. Overall, it was just okay for a one night stay on my way to my final destination but a working charging station would have been welcome
We just like staying here on our trips to south of France. Lovely location, great property, friendly staff and excellent food. Have stopped there twice, and will look to stay again next year.
Unfortunately I was not able to eat at their facility, it was full. The rest was was excellent
Very disappointed, won’t stay there again.
Having stayed at L’Orée des Vignes for about 10 years we were looking forward to stay again as it is halfway on our journey from the UK to Italy and we didn’t expect any changes. The first problem arose when we expected to pay the remainder when we arrived. We didn’t recognise any of the management who told us they had not received the deposit so we would have to pay the full amount. Then when we were shown to our room it had only a double bed and a temporary small temporary bed. We told them we had requested a twin bedded room but they denied any notice of this. We then showed them a copy of our request and they said they had not received this. They said they could do nothing about this as the hotel was full. They suggested using the smaller bed which in fact appeared to have been used also there were some hairs on the sheets. Then the shower was blocked so the water drained away very slowly. We now assumed that there had been a change in the management and the young lady who seemed to be in charge treated us almost with contempt. Before you needed a number to enter both the hotel and car park after 10 pm so you felt more secure, but not any more. It appears there must have been a breakdown in communication between the hotel and Hotels.com as the description of the rooms was quite different between the hotel and Hotels.com. We certainly will not be staying there in the future and would not recommend it to anyone.
The hotel was very nice. The restaurant left something to be desired. Plan ahead to eat better elsewhere.
The hotel is very modern with a n efficient and friendly receptionist, who was very helpful at sharing contacts for local restaurants. The hotel seems popular as a conference venue. Our room was spotlessly clean with good bed and shower. There was plenty of safe off street parking and 2 EV chargers. You need to ask for the carpark gate code if you go out for an evening meal!! We traveled with 2 small dogs and they were welcomed.
The room is fine and comfortable. The restaurant is pretty good. However, a staff member used her key to go into our room when we were inside without knocking. We checked out and realized that we were charged twice on our card. They charged our card on file when we checked in, and we didn’t realize that, and they asked us to pay at checkout as well.
Lovely place. We stopped only for one night but would definitely go back.
Cute hotel in Bourgogne
The hotel is very quiet and rooms are clean. Linens were super clean also, the staff helpful. It's situated between Nuits-Saint-Georges and Gevrey-Chambertin, very practical location if you're around there to enjoy some wine tasting.
Very nice place. Rooms big and clean. Very gentle service. We stayed in a room for 5. Breakfast is also an option on site
Small Charming Hotel in Burgundy
I stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip and found it to be a delightful and charming hotel. The grounds are beautiful with an inner courtyard filled with flowers and grapevines. My queen bedroom was small but comfortable. The bathroom was actually quite large, and everything was spotlessly clean. Service is professional, but not overly friendly. Parking is free and they have a security code to gain access to the hotel in the late evenings. Breakfast was 13 euros and OK — a basic continental with no hot food on the buffet. The best part of the hotel is the location. It is very close to the famous vineyards of Romanee Conti and La Tache, with lots of walking trails. Also very close to Clos de Voguet, which is a nice museum to visit.
Good value for money, specially for large families
The room was nice - no complains. We made a brief stop here on our way back to Belgium. Clearly can recommend this hotel for a stop by. The room was bigger than anticipated with a nice layout. The location is fine a small town with supermarkets nearby
great overnight stopover on way south, easy to find
Great little hotel, easy to find selection of hot and cold drinks available all well priced.Very pretty village with walking area for a very stiff dog after 8 hours driving.Good breakfast, regular stop over for us now.
NIce hotel in wonderful countryside
Friendly staff, comfortable clean room, excellent nearby restaurant recommended by the hotel
hot water in shower very variable. Could have had more for breakfast
Excellent stay
Great location for a stop over, quiet, very clean, efficient and friendly staff. Really good WiFi too!
Good Burgundy stopping off point
Quiet village hotel. Good stopping off point. We spent two nights there. Very convenient for exploring vineyards. Staff friendly and helpful. Simple French country hotel. Will use hotel, again when traveling through. Secure parking.
Convenient and peaceful
Very restful and close to the region,s vineyards
Great place , nice staff , perfect location
Good hotel with parking close to Dijon
For those who are planning to come to this part of Burgundy with a car it is a perfect hotel. Dijon is about 15 km away. Le Chateau du clos de Vougeot is about 3 km (you can even walk there from the hotel). But if you plan to visit many of those famous Castles and wineries you would better find another base to stay, I would say at least close to Beaune or even a little bit down south (but not too far from Beaune). My stay at this particular hotel was extremely nice : clean room, nice substantial breakfast, very friendly staff and a big parking. The neighborhood is very quiet and pleasant. Just remember you need a car to stay at this hotel.
Pretty courtyard. Basic rooms, less than photos.
The senior lady checked us in was not friendly, other receptionists were nice. The courtyard looks pretty. Rooms looked less than the photos. There are bed, desk, chair, wardrobe cupboard and two plastic cups in the bathroom. Pretty basic.
Very friendly and helpful staff, despite language issues! They helped us out with local tasting recommendations, restaurant recommendations (great, good value restaurant just next to the roundabout in Vougeot village) and other useful area information. Great value hotel, highly recommended.
Very excellent choice at Côté dû nuits
Budget and lovely place to stay
peaceful stay in lovely countryside
Once we finally found the hotel it proved a delight with good welcome, well appointed room and in quiet surroundings. Secure parking is a bonus. Staff were lovely and breakfast good.G
Comfortable overnight stay
Very good value, quiet hotel for over night stay on the way south.
Great for an overnight or a slightly longer stay.
The whole place has a real quality feel to it. I asked how long ago itn had been refurbished or created as a hotel, and the answer was 7 years. I presumed it was much more recent, but it was obviously a quality project in the first place and has been well maintained since. The only reason I marked the room slightly down was because we had a basic room, and I realise they have a range of rooms. It was, though, very good and comfortable. A good bed, which is the main thin g, and a nice spotless shower room.
Friendly/Relaxing overnight stay
Really pleasant hotel in 'away from it all' location. Staff friendly and helpful creating a 'genuine ambience'. Only regret was that they could not provide an evening meal - that would have saved the need to venture out again.
Convenient stop off but not much else
Ok to stop off, bit quiet and sterile. Great breakfast though. Room pretty plain but clean and modern.
very convenient for autoroute
Beautifully clean in pretty village. Great renovation of old building and new extension. Staff very friendly and even booked us dinner at restaurant in neighbouring village. Highly recommended.
Good stop-over
10 mins drive from motorway, so good position for a stop over when driving through France. Quiet position, with ample parking and a garden in a pleasant village. Helpful staff were able to recommend a good nearby restaurant for dinner. Good breakfast menu - plenty of options.
Charming Farm setting in a quiet neighborhood.
Everything about this place was positive. It is handsome farm type setting but still able to accomodate business people. Located off the main road in a residential neighborhood setting. A little hard to find but worth the hunt. The facility is in excellent condition. Staff s helpful and english is spoken when needed.
great location and good service. The one problem we had was believing that the hotel had a restaurant. When we asked to book in for an evening meal we were informed that there was nothing to eat at the hotel. Breakfast was good however.
Wonderful Hotel!
The atmosphere of this hotel is great. We only encountered one issue -- the airconditioner did not cool the room and no one was on staff after 7 to help us with this.
Handy stop over
A super farm house conversion to a very high standard, very secure parking. A nice location easy access to motorways. Breakfast superb very friendly and accomidating owners.
All fine, very good restaurant with excellent dinner, wine and breakfast. The location is a bit remote but this is visible on the map. Good parking on teh premises.
Freundliches Personal. Wir haben drei Übernachtungen dort verbracht.
Personale del check in inesistente
Pessimo check-in.
quiet place with decent parking and nice staff
Schone kamers lekkere tuin mooie omgeving lekker gegeten kortom prima
Tolles Hotel, ruhig gelegen, saubere Zimmer, freundlicher Service. Abgeschlossener Parkplatz.
Top
Late Check-In hat super geklappt. Sehr schöne Anlage. Gutes Frühstück.
Lovely place
Very nice hotel in the heart of Bourgogne wine area! Nice roms, good breakfast , nice Staf! Possibility to by wine, good ones! A place we Will returen to!!!
Tres bien , tranquille, bien situer, tres bel endroit.
Nice hotel friendly and helpful staff. Easy to find. Free parking.
