The place was very nice and clean. We enjoyed our stay. It was a centrally located area.
The room was well appointed, clean and modern. The rain shower was especially nice. Communicating check-in/check-out process was flexible and easy. The elevator can be a bit tricky and there were some very noisy birds or geese near the property that woke us up early every morning, but other than that, it was comfortable and located near plenty of restaurants and bars.
Great Value, But Be Aware of Noise We stayed at Lofts on Basilio and overall had a decent experience. The price for the accommodation was excellent, especially considering the amenities. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay more enjoyable. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was a major plus, and the blackout blinds for the large windows were a great touch, ensuring a good night’s sleep despite the bright surroundings. However, the biggest downside was the noise. We stayed in room 201, and our friends were in 102, both of which faced the street. The noise from outside was incredibly loud and constant, almost like it was coming from inside the room. The single-pane glass windows in rooms facing the busy street really didn’t help with soundproofing, which made it tough to rest. If you're sensitive to noise, I’d strongly recommend booking a room at the back of the building to avoid this issue. Overall, if you can handle some noise, the value, great staff, and amenities make this a solid choice. But for a quieter experience, definitely consider rooms away from the street.
Room clean, good a/c and great water pressure. Other guests were loud, street noise way too loud. WiFi not always available due to other guests using.
Qwirky little place that's super cool!
Great location, cool rooms with a lot of character. If you feel like being right amongst the action with a rad vibe. This is the spot.
A nice space but the rooftop pool was very small. And the street traffic was very noisy. Definitely only for sound sleepers. Overall a bit pricey for what you get
I liked the rustic decor interiorly.I did not like that there was no safe for valuables.
Solid option in Zona Romantica
Great styling and fabulous rooftop. The location was just a few blocks away from all the bars and restaurants and there were taco stands within 2 blocks. The host put together a very helpful guest book with good recos! I may choose to stay closer to the beach itself next time but this was a solid option. The elevator was down for the 4 nights of my visit, but the bonus of that is that the roof was empty. I feel like the hotel may have been more luxurious years ago, but staff left cleaning supplies stacked in the hotel entry and there are other quirks, like the sink faucet pressure shooting water out and over the sink bowl if you aren't careful and security signs warning to lock the gate and be sure to keep any parked cars empty. Just little quirks that add up to make the stay feel the tiniest bit scruffy. Rooms are clean!
I enjoyed the vibe and look of the property. The bed was very comfortable and the rain fall showerhead was out of this world. Will definitely be staying here again.
Great location Shows some wear and tear Lovely rooftop area to relax
nice property. was a bid loud if you are in the front unit close to the street. the windows are thin.
Not a great experience.
Not too happy about being given the wrong door code and trying to get ahold of the manager for 20 minutes then being hung up on. Cold showers and loud housekeepers. Nice roof deck though.
Very nice place. Next time I will book a bigger room since we're a family of 5. But the place itself is a vacation
Lovely space, no issues. Thanks!
This place was great. I only needed to stay one night and it was perfect for that. The street can be a little loud but the location is great otherwise. It’s truly walkable to everything, especially the bars so if you’re looking for something convenient and close to PV’s gay nightlife, then this place is a great choice.
This was our fifth time staying in a condo in Puerto Vallarta and I can say that the Lofts offered the most unique vibe of all of our stays. It’s in a convenient location that’s walkable to everything you’d need. The colorful murals throughout the building invite the area’s culture inside. Our room was clean and well-maintained, and had all the amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. Sammy was a great host and was very responsive whenever we had questions. In addition, the cleaning team was very friendly and did a great job maintaining the entire place. All in all, 5 stars for this one!
Beautiful lofts within a great neighbourhood. Walkable to beach and many restaurants. Rooftop pool with views of the city and mountains. Clean and friendly staff.
Nice enough but there are better options.
It is a nice enough property not too close to the beach. Room 103 was very small 9’5”x9’9”. Pretty much only room for the bed and a small coffee counter. The only place to place your clothes was a small shelf in the bathroom. The tv has no reception and will not allow streaming. The hot water was out the 2nd day and fixed late on the 3rd day. There is no safe for guest’s valuables. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The AC was either on or off. The thermostat did not regulate so up thru the night turning the unit on or off to keep țhe room reasonable.
There was no drip coffee maker. There was no water pressure in the shower which made it impossible for me to wash my hair in it - had to use the kitchen sink. The roof leaked and dropped plaster when it rained with clear damage already to the ceiling before I came so this wasn’t the first leak! The AC could t keep up with the August heat, even with the film on the windows and the black out blinds closed. The location was amazing. The bed, probably the most comfortable I’ve slept in in Mexico. The kitchen minimally stocked - not even a flipper to cook eggs.
Birthday Trip 2024
While I can say the unit itself looks as advertised. The lack of strong a/c during my stay made it almost a miserable time for me. 3/6 days of my stay was without water(seemingly city wide). I was offered an upgrade mid trip which I appreciate. But overall as it wasn't something I would want to repeat, could be the time of year I went but I've been there around this time for my birthday for the last 3 years and this was the first time I've experienced anything of these issues. So a fluke maybe but overall that's just my take *Unit looks as advertised *Utilities(a/c,water) wherent up to standard. *Staff will try to accommodate, but they can't control the heat/water supply -Would recommend during a different season that isn't summer, wouldn't otherwise.
Great property and location
Excellent stay
Great property. Excellent service by all the staff. Very clean. Lofts are beautiful and well decorated. Rooftop is great. Pool looks small on pictures but it is a descent size. Great dining options within 5 minute walk.
Loved the location… plenty of space for 2 3 people. The decor and rooftop pool is beautiful.
Nice property down town. It is noisy but that’s expected being in the city. Lots of great dining options! Loved La Ruta right next door. Very clean and cute!
No tea fir the morning and no storage unit for clothes the rack for hanging clothes no my style and for me I loke to see more day light I felt like in the closet or someone's bassement....
Zona Romantica getaway
This was an elevated experience with neighborhood feels. This location is set in a mixed use setting where your find local residents , bars, shops, and restaurants. Ample foot traffic and close to the center of zona romantica. I was in 103 and it was very quiet overall. The bed was very comfortable . The sheets were soft , and the pillows were great. Towels were in great condition and changed upon request. The rooftop was lovely and the pool was cool and refreshing. The liquid hand soap was so good. I hope I come across this again . The shower is amazing . TV was nice and one day I did watch Netflix.nice sized fridge.
Great location in Zona Romantica, walkable to everywhere, in terms of the apartment, it has washer/dryer, small kitchen and comfy bed.
Nice kitchen, bedroom and bath…didn’t use the extra bed in the loft, but loved the quiet space with the “water wall”.
Nice modern design too.
I love the property. My only negative is that you could watch tv by streaming and could only stream Netflix and only online music. I like watching tv in my room and the Latin music videos.
Lack of amenities
I received the access codes late which was concerning. However, once I received them and arrived at the property for a 5 night stay, I could not have been more satisfied. Great accommodations. Great location.
Great place
Great location. Close to bars and restaurants.
A little rough around the edges. Cleaning supplies left under the stairs. Lots of street noise. Best suited for those partaking in the night life. I wouldn’t stay again with young kids.
The property is extremely loud and the management team is not helpful at all. The worse experience I’ve ever had. They should not be in the renting business
This property feels new, though it had room for improvement. We did not realize that the main bedroom was not closed off (it had a sliding window door, but it did not go up to the height of the room) or that second bed was in an open loft space. There was also a lot of noise during the day from the staff that was cleaning rooms and from construction nearby. The pool area did not seem to be completely finished, but the other part of the rooftop was nice.
Great location and space. Street noise noticeable.
We booked through Expedia for Lofts on Basilio. Expedia said the room amenities included coffee/tea maker, cookware/dishes/utensils, free bottled water, full-sized refrigerator/freezer, kitchenette and microwave. So we assumed this is what we would have when we arrived. Not exactly. So this review would pertain to the first floor only, specifically 101. The room has 2 metal bar stools. There are no chairs to sit on. No toaster. No burners. Going by the amenities listed we expected to be able to cook meals. Nope. They said this would be a noisy room being, closest to the road. However, the most noise comes from the security door being shut. Even closing gently, the door makes a loud bang. And if it get slammed its incredibly loud. There is really not a lot of storage space for clothes, etc. To the owners credit, most of our concerns were looked after in a super fast manner and we did get reimbursed some funds. This is a room for a single person who eats all meals out. If you're a couple, pass on this room. Daily cleaning was nice but for us not necessary. Didn't get to see the units with a full kitchen, but probably would be okay staying in those.
Amazing property! Hidden gem! We truly appreciated the filtered water in the room. We felt safe and loved that we had some privacy when we wanted to head back after a long busy day. I cannot wait to come back
The staff was great. The property was clean. Good location near restaurants and walking distance to the beach.
No more than a hotel Room.
No more than a good hotel room. One plate,,knife spoon and 2 Coffee cups. Not what I though I was booking! Units on 2nd floor and above looked great. Would not stay on ground floor again.
Beautiful unit, great location, but street noise at night can be a bit tough.
Great choice
Clean comfortable unit; plenty of space; washer/dryer was helpful; loved having the loft bedroom; good kitchen with everything including coffee pods and sweetners; great shower; roof top pool was small; no view from front facing rooms; location good could walk anywhere and a great bar across the street; could use another sitting chair and bathroom door wouldn't stay shut if not being used.
I stayed in room 101 and wasn’t bothered by the traffic noise. It was a great room and the rooftop was beautiful. Only note is for a room with a fridge and microwave I’d have liked some plates available in the room as well as maybe a bottle opener. Thanks!
I hate to have to do this, but there is only 1 other review on this property and it doesn't match our experience. This property has potential so I hope the management takes this review to heart. The room we stayed in was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable, but unfortunately there were tiny ants that sometimes made there way into bed with us. Housekeeping was aware and left us a can of Raid as a solution. The nicely painted white walls also showed grubby hand marks in both the bedroom and bathroom. Although we felt the room was clean, it did make us wonder whether things were sanitary. Lastly, noise was an issue because the elevator was alarmed and guests constantly struggled to open and close the very awkward steel accordion style door. All of these issues are easily rectified and I hope are addressed so future guest have a better experience. I would also like to remind the hosts that although they sit behind a computer to run their business, their customers are still human beings!
Petty good but doesn't have parking
This place has a lot going for it, not the least of which are location and a badass rooftop with a small infinity pool. However, claims of free "on-site" parking are untrue. The parking is on the street. Also, read the emails they send you if you book room 101. It is as noisy as they say. Kudos to the hotel for providing ample warning. We enjoyed our stay!
Avoid first room
I missed an email from property if I wanted to switch rooms to the back since the front tends to be a little loud… boy do I regret missing that email - DO NOT stay in the first room, the noise is unbearable and it’s not outside noise, it’s the numerous drunks and your own neighbors who slam the gate every other minute that’s annoying AF. There should be an easy fix, but I think the stay would have been 10/10 if you simply avoid the first room.
Great Spot in Old Town.
Wonderful location, amazing rooftop patio with pool. Due to room facing the street I’d recommend earplugs as it’s a busy road. Bed was very hard, but that common in Mexico, all in all, an amazing place and will stay again.
I cannot recommend the Lofts at Basilio enough! This is an incredible piece of property that isn't exactly in the midst of all the hustle and bustle, BUT close enough that it's a walk away! We stayed in Loft 301, where it was a two-story place that had all the amenities (full bath, laundry, kitchen, living area, etc). The retractable blinds were helpful during the mornings. You are able to open the windows to listen to the street! The place was clean and the bed was so comfortable! The housekeepers are sweet as can be! During our 4-day stay, we decided to not have housekeeping in, as we were constantly in and out of the place. However, they were so helpful, when needed. The property manager was great too! He helped us, when we needed it! He was quick with his communication (via WhatsApp)! Our friends (who were staying in another loft) forgot something, and they were gracious enough to get it back to us the next day! The rooftop is as cute as can be! Wish there were more comfortable seating...The rooftop has amble amount of sunlight. The little pool was great to cool off and to overlook the beautiful city. I could not recommend this place enough! We will certainly be back to Lofts!
Home away from home
The space is beautiful and amazing. It really became a home away from home. The unit matched the photos exactly and the property managers were quick to respond. Check in/out was seamless. I did pay extra for a late checkout. The building amenities were wonderful and I was glad to enjoy the rooftop, even getting some work done on vacation. Pro-tip: Be sure to pack ear plugs if you decide to stay in the front units of the building.
The property is close to many restaurants, convenience stores, pharmacies and many other shops that make a stay enjoyable. You have everything you need nearby. The beach and boardwalk are also easily accessible without having to go uphill like other streets. The neighbourhood felt very safe, day and night. We had an issue upon arrival which was promptly taken care of. The apartment was clean. Bed was comfortable. Good water pressure (specifying this as it's not always the case with some properties). Easy checkin/checkout. Great wifi.
#103
Stay was perfect for us. Close to the hospital, which we needed. Food district and shopping close by. 9 minute walk to the Malecon. Street seemed sketchy, but wasn't. I felt very safe there. Neighbors were all polite. Definitely give this place a thumbs up!
Loved the murals on the walls. Access to rooftop pool, elevator and Netflix . Housekeeping were so nice. Owners messaged back promptly. Loved that there was a place to wash my clothes inside my room. Beautiful tall windows with a dark shade to sleep. Everything was great thank you so much. We will be back again. Gracias
Great place
Will never stay anywhere else when visiting the PV
Lofts on Basilio is great!! This is the second time I stay here and it hasn't failed to impress me. I love the layout of the rooms on top of everything that they offer. In addition to that, Anahi and Meche (the house cleaning staff) is super friendly and welcoming. Will definitely return in the near future.
Excellent
The space was so much bigger than pictures online. It was so beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, Very modern with local touches. Loved the area for walking, dining, shopping etc. the host was so fast in responding to any questions I had. The building is secure and very quiet. I will be returning.
Querían q les pagara 250 pesos por dos 1 hora q me quede extra Y querían q les pagara en efectivo no querían q les pagara con tarjeta eso no me pareció..
Small room for the price but nice accomodations.
Get a room on 200 and up. The rooms on the 1st floor starting with 100 seem to be the loudest and less door insulation. Because of the concrete floors and lack of soundproofing around the windows and doors it will sound like you're in a room in a house or anyone can just walk in to your unit. You can hear trucks as if there's just a single brick separating you from the street. I was in 102 a bit further from the main door and it still felt like the street was one step away. Not to mention the cleaning crew banging around mops and brooms at 0935 outside my door, people walking by, as well as other residents and people having conversations in the hallway. The room itself only showed photos of a loft. The ones on 100 are one floor hotel style rooms. Well appointed with plenty of thoughtful amenities: a beach bag and towel, beer in the fridge, bar opener, 5 gallon water jug, beach blanket but missing a credenza or a chair. The room needs an internal deadbolt. Lastly, there's a camera pointed at the door of the room which is odd and creepy. I enjoyed my stay but I'd get a higher floor the next time. It's great for two days, but the lack of insulation made it feel too open for me. The rooftop pool was great and the area was walkable to everything, but for the price ($85/night) it was overpriced. Leaving an envelope out to tip the maid is insulting. At these prices the maids should be compensated plenty.
Room 101
So I read a lot of reviews and decided to stay her. I guess I didn’t read closely, I pick the WRONG room. I got room 101 and it’s right next to street and front gate to come in building. So with that said you here front gate slam all day, you here people on street talking like you next to them and traffic noise like you wouldn’t believe.
We were very pleased with our stay in Room 301. The loft was spacious with floor to ceiling windows and convenient remote control to lower the shades. The housekeeping staff are very nice and efficient. Remi was also nice and helpful. The location is excellent - just a 15 minute walk - mostly flat - to the beach. The rooftop is beautiful
The room was small, and it wasn’t a loft like the building name suggests, but it was clean, had a comfy bed, and a great rain shower! The unit is front facing and can get a bit noisy from traffic on the street and people coming and going from the building though. If you are a light sleeper, this one isn’t for you.
Check in and check out was really easy. The host was helpful and friendly. We requested some extra blankets and he responded very promptly. We also requested on the day of check out to leave our luggage While we went for an hour breakfast. He was very accommodating with our last minute request. Our only issue was the area was very noisy. For a family looking for a quiet place to stay, this was not ideal with firecrackers and party noise late into the evening.
Good location
Amazing stay.
Nice view
The loft set up is nice. ITs located in a walkable area. About a 5 min walk to beach. It is where the locals live. The loft we had which was room 201 had an excellent view. My complaint would be that the sheets and towels. The room has a washer and dryer so we took it upon ourselves to rewash our sheets and towels. We did this the remainder of the stay since we werent too sure about the cleanliness of the towels and sheets. They werent crisp but yet wrinkled with hair and some stains. The rainfall shower is nice but the hot water only last 45 seconds before it turns cold. Not lukewarm but cold. So it must be quick. If you are a light sleeper the noise from the street and AC will definitely disturb you. I do like that i was able to pay for early check in and late check out. That was accommodating. The check in and communication with owner was easy no problem there. There is no live tv or cable. Only netflix and some other apps. Live tv would have made it better since i like to keep up with news. The rooftop pool area has a lovely view. But the pool only has room for about 2 people. So timing to get there first is relevant. There is a larger space where the hammocks and grill is located. Overall it was ok.
Was very excited for our stay, but a huge disappointment. Kitchen faucet didn’t function properly, toilet seat broken, tv did not work and TOP step was not attached to the floor…which is just plain dangerous. Remi was nice to deal with, but not one issue was resolved.
If your gonna stay, stay here.
Location is perfect in Zona Romantica, everything you need is on the same street. 5 min walk to beach, 2 min walk to bars or restaurants and Malecon is about a 10 min walk. Modern and trendy units with roof top pool and hammocks.
Broken AC! They atleast tried to resolve the issue
Beautiful Lofts. Could use some updates. On the way to check in I was told the ac in my room 103 broke. They did replace it with a temporary one and gave me a discount but the noise and space it took was a nuisance. Rooms on first floor are ratner small. Shower was great! The views and the upper terrace was amazing!!
Great space for 2-3 people. Sofa bed was meh.
Great hidden gem inside of Puerta Vallarta. Will definitely book my next stay here if its available. Its modern, up to date, comfortable, and the roof top pool and social area was to die for! The AC worked amazing. The full kitchen and washer and dryer with laundry detergent were a great amenity for the end of our trip. Only negative was the sofa bed was horrible. You could feel the springs right through the mattress. So the space may only be ideal for 2 people. Also, upstairs theres only a cali king bed and minimal places to hang clothes or actually place anything. We had a good time though.
1st time in Mexico, so I had to adjust my expectations. Location is AMAZING!!! Updated. Awesome rooftop view. Pool is small but nice. My room was extra small, but there are amazing large suites. Very noisy from street sound to visitors inside. You can hear it all. Hairball was found in my sheets. Cleaning lady came immediately. Overall a decent stay. HOT WATER IS IN THE MIDDLE SETTING.
Amazing stay on basilo
Great service and nice hotel staff. Will definitely stay here again.

This is a nice place near zona romantica. I love the room especially the rain shower. I noticed there's no safety box inside the room. I will recommend and come back here next time.
