good location, excellent room.

A basic but beautiful place to stay!

It was a beautiful spot to stay, and the management was very helpful. The rooms that aren’t facing the water are a tad bit too small for two people with two suitcasesand there’s just barely enough enough water for two people to get a hot shower. Nevertheless, the rooms are very clean and well kept. The heated bathroom floors are very nice. We stayed in a room that did not face the water and also one that faced the water and the larger room facing the water was so much nicer!! There’s no place to get food there and they don’t serve breakfast so if you have transportation to go in town nearby, you’ll be good. The sauna was a lot of fun, so make sure you book the sauna and go for a dip in the Norwegian sea!

We just finished a three night stay at Lofoten Base Camp. I cannot speak more highly of this place. It was clean, comfortable and a superb location for our photography trip. All the major photographic sights were within a half hour’s drive except south Lofoten which was about an hour away. They are in the process of building an onsite restaurant which will certainly add another convenient aspect to this property. The owner is charming and very friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Lofoten islands no matter for what purpose.

Great stay!

Had a lovely time here with my girlfriend. There was so much snow and we got to see the northern lights from where we were staying. The host was amazing, very fast replies and drove us into town, was very chatty and lovely. Sauna there was so nice with a beautiful view. Cabin was warm, cozy and clean, comfy bed. Neither of us could drive which was a bit silly because it’s very hard to get around without a car, used taxis which were for the most part reliable.

Everything was wonderful except that the sauna was a bit far from our room

Lots of construction going on around

These cabins are so nice! We stayed in one that offered a deck over the water and the views were gorgeous!! The front office people were so incredibly nice and accommodating. It is a short drive to town, but that makes for a very quiet place to stay. Short walk to multiple hiking trails. Definitely recommend!!

Brand new house. We had a suite with a kitchen. Everything was OK. Probably only complaint is the lack of space to put a suitcase. Location is great. Views were amazing. Would stay there again.

Property was gorgeous. Property owner is so nice and attentive. Recommend if you’re going to Lofoten. Very central location. Sauna is a must do.

Lofoten Basecamp was awesome!

This place was amazing! New condition building with everything we needed for our stay; dishes, clothes washer, etc. large balcony over the water, free parking. Awesome office staff that were super friendly and helpful. I would so highly recommend this to anyone visiting Lofoten!

Beautiful property with a lovely sauna and cold plunge. Really enjoyed the stocked kitchen. Great location and distance to other towns and hikes.

Beautiful central location

The location was a perfect central location for Lofoten. The owners were friendly and super helpful. We enjoyed everything about our stay. The sauna is also a nice bonus of course.

Quite place with nice view n near to airport.

Loved this place! It’s modern and clean. We loved the private sauna time (300 NOK). The kitchen had everything we needed. The only thing missing would be a table for the patio for our cabin.

Amazing place to stay at in Lofoten

Everything was perfect

Not much support from the main office. Property was excellent but there was a lot of construction nearby which was dirty and gross. Not much guidance on places to eat or buy grocerties.

Amazing Accommodations

A beautiful setting right on the water, peaceful/quiet and very clean cabin. The staff was friendly and helpful. The sauna was amazing! Would highly recommend for couples or families.

Great stay in modern cabins designed in the style of an old fishing dock. Really comfy and cosy. <10min drive to Leknes. Nice and central for exploring Lofoten if you have your own transport. Rear cabins still have access to a sea front deck area with BBQ for lounging and chilling. Easy car parking outside your cabin. Friendly owner. Loved our stay.

The check in was horrible. The hotel said they sent me an email through Expedia but neither me or my Expedia account get it. They said they texted me it i didn’t get the message. The hotel night staff was impatient when I called him about my check in information was because he was sleeping. Otherwise hotel is decent

Amazing location, the cabins are gorgeous. And the view of the water and surrounding area is awesome. Also highly recommend using the sauna. Best sauna and view I’ve ever seen. Highly recommend staying here.

The proprietors were helpful and friendly! Amazing location. Clean and safe.

The view from the cabin was exquisite, with a large deck. Fishing and activities were nearby. We especially liked being outside of a town, watching the birds and boats fishing. The cabin is located so that hikes are very nearby. We cooked a couple of nights in as the cabin had all that you need to cook a meal.

This place was amazing!!! Ralf the owner was excellent, kept in touch with me leading up to our stay as I had a lot of questions about the location and what there is around. The cabins are clean and beautiful, and the scenery is top notch. There is an awesome hike right off the road. Would absolutely stay there again!! Thank you!!

It was excellent. Just what I needed after a long day of hiking.

This place was beautiful. The views all around are breath taking. The cabins were cute, a little small, but big enough for the two of us. We had a lovely time here. Staff was very helpful and responsive.

Great location for exploring Lofoten! Liked that it is a little outside of Leknes so a bit darker for Northern Lights. Proximity to Leknes is nice as lots of sevices there. Very much enjoyed the waterfront views as well as the cabin deck. Did not get to use the sauna. Cabin itself was clean and updated - everything was comfortable. There was a small stovetop which was a nice surprise. Shower was clean and spacious. Also enjoyed the hike right behind the cabin (Offersøykammen) - amazing views on a clear day.

Great & beautiful central location on the water away from the crowded areas around Hamnoy & Reine. Beautiful well appointed cabin that was spotlessly clean.

New and clean. The room is beautiful and kitchen wares are nice. The hotel located on E10, very convenient for traveling.

The apartment is clean and it is just a short driving distance away from the eateries and supermarkets at Leknes. It would however be great if both shower gel and shampoo are being provided as well.

Nature at its best!

Lofoton Basecamp was beautiful! Location, sauna and the owners were just lovely. Would definitely stay there again. Great central location as well!

Great location

Reasonable but small

Very new cabins, well insulated, and very reasonably priced. It was well documented but it is right by the main road and rooms were very small. Preferred location and more authentic feel of eliassen

Not great

We didn’t like this property. In fact it was our least favorite place to stay in all of Norway. Cabins are not comfortable- stuffy with no real curtains so you bake in the midnight sun. There was no housekeeping. The furniture is super uncomfortable- you get a great terrace with nowhere to sit on it. The sauna was a joke, one night they forgot to turn it on for us. There was no coffee or really anything in the room so you have to drive to get coffee. I’m not sure why they get good reviews- the only good part was being able to leave easily.

Top quality accommodation

Top quality accommodation. Bit surprised that the bedroom slept 3 - one bed being a bunk. It’s just off the main road and I was worried we would hear the road but that was not a problem. Could do with a couple is shelves or drawers for clothes but other than that I can’t fault the accommodation. Staff are very friendly and helpful. A cafe and shop on site would be great as the main town has not many restaurants and is a bit of a drive away if you’ve forgotten something.

This is a great little quite hidden Gem. It’s off the beaten path as most properties in the Lofoten Islands area. So not really close to much. It’s about 10/11 min from DWTN Leknes area. So a few Restaurants and Grocery and Gas options. The owners are super great and the place is near brand new. Maybe less than a year at time of this review in August of 2023. I know they are constantly adding new cabins. While we were there it did get rather hot I would suggest the owners possibly add some fans to the rooms and or portable fan options. But overall. What a lovely place. I can only imagine bow gorgeous this place is during the winter solstice and for northern lights.

Amazing host!

We have travelled almost extensively and stayed in different accommodations across the globe; however, we have not come across someone who is as helpful and as thoughtful as Dominica. She is a gem of a host and always addressed our questions and issues with a solution. If anyone decides to stay in this property, please rest assured that Dominica can take care of any issues. We would love to come back to this property only and only for her. Thank you is not enough.

Excellent, loved our stay there

I travelled with a friend and our stay was very nice and comfortable. When we had a question it was resolved in the matter of minutes. Very cordial and good service! It is well located so we had access to everything we wanted without a problem. Would stay there again if traveling to The Lofoten!

Great place to start our trip in the middle of Lofoten. Brand new rooms with comfortable beds and shower, fridge & microwave. Only minor issue is shower gel & shampoo not provded. Friendly reception!

There is no where else I would Recommend. Stop looking! Base camp is amazing. Absolutely stunning property- amazing host! Clean property, comfortable beds, sauna access and a dip afterwards (freezing). Well equipped with everything you need. Easy access to town for food! Best part hands down was the host!

El alojamiento era muy bonito, estaba bien equipado, está ubicado sobre una vía principal, el personal sumamente amable y atento, pero sobre todo, es el mejor lugar para ver auroras boreales en Lofoten desde la comodidad de tu balcón.

Loved the sauna!

Mauvais rapport qualité / prix

Mauvais rapport qualité / prix pour cet hébergement situé en contrebas de la route la plus fréquentée des îles Lofoten. Les bungalows sont conçus avec des matériaux de moindre qualité, les murs tremblent dès lors qu’un voisin rentre ou sort de chez lui, au point de sursauter si cela se produit en pleine nuit. Les finitions ne sont pas terribles non plus (voir photo de la cabine douche à titre d’exemple) et les équipements proposés insuffisants. Les bungalows comportant trois lits simples (drôle de configuration d’ailleurs) n’offrent aucun rangement, même pour les valises que vous devrez disposer dans le salon minuscule… La fenêtre de la salle de douche ne s’ouvre pas et celle de la chambre donne directement sur les voisins, ce qui oblige à fermer le rideau (non occultant, comme tous les autres rideaux du bungalow) pour conserver un minimum d’intimité. Certes, les terrasses offrent une jolie vue, mais avec beaucoup de vis-à-vis, et d’importantes nuisances sonores, dès 8h du matin, depuis que le complexe touristique a décidé de s’agrandir en construisant de nouveaux bungalows (voir photo). Sachez par ailleurs qu’il n’y a aucun commerce de proximité (supérette, bars ou restaurants) à moins de 10 minutes en voiture, ni aucune vie locale, il s’agit d’un « faux village touristique » construit de toute pièce. 
Vous l’aurez compris, nous ne recommandons pas cette adresse, sauf éventuellement le temps d’une nuit, bien que le personnel fut adorable.

Trevligt, rent och bekvämt med ett vackert lofotenlandsksp att njuta av. trevlig värd. oväntad bonus: en familj delfiner som jagade utanför fönstret.

Ist ein gute zentraler Ort. Schöne Unterkunft.

Underbart och lugnt

Skönt läge för en underbar semester. Det är vackert på Logoten såklart, och det kan vara stressigt när det är många turister. Men det kan också vara särdeles lugnt, om man använder Lofoten Basecamp som hem bas. Vi kommer återkommer helt säkert igen.

Sommertur i Lofoten

Vi hadde 2 netter på Lofoten Basecamp. Hyggelig,praktisk, ren og moderne rorbu, med fin sjøutsikt og stor terrasse.Uproblematisk inn/utsjekking. Ingen cafe eller restaurant, men fint, lite kjøkken og mulighet for egen matlaging.Leknes og Gravdal nærmeste tettsted med supermarked.Kan anbefales.

Vi vill komma tillbaka!

Trevlig och hjälpsam personal, superfin nybyggd/nyrenoverad stuga med alla bekvämligheter man kan önska och begära. Diskmaskinen blev en glad överraskning! Vi kommer väldigt gärna tillbaka! Det ryktades om att det till nästa år kommer finnas restaurang också på området.

Helt fantastisk sted. Fine hytter, fine fasiliteter, hyggelig og behjelpelig personale, utrolig fin plass, ryddig og rent. Vil definitivt reise tilbake, og anbefale til alle jeg kjenner, 10/10.
