Fantastic Lismore Motel

We had a lovely comfortable stay at Lismore Gateway Motel. The Motel is very well located, close to the centre of town, easy to find and had undercover parking. The staff were helpful and friendly. Its a new Motel with very well maintained gardens and pool.

Our stay at the Lismore Gateway Motel was highly enjoyable. The staff were so accommodating and friendly and truly went out of their way to provide exceptional service. The rooms and grounds are kept to the highest standard of cleanliness. I highly recommend this motel to anyone who is looking for somewhere to stay in Lismore.

Very helpful people

We visited Lismore Gateway Motel during the Covid 19 Pandemic at a time when the travel restrictions had just been lifted. This caused a surge in the numbers of people travelling and we were lucky to get a booking. The pandemic had caused staff shortages across the hospitality industry and Lismore Gateway Motel was also dealing with this problem. Brad and his team were very professional in the way they dealt with problems arising from this situation. They worked hard to ensure that their guests were comfortable and satisfied with their stay and the services provided by the motel. We have family in Lismore and will be staying at Lismore Gateway Motel on all our future visits.

Very centrally located

This motel is centrally located near cafes and restaurants. The rooms are modern and tastefully decorated. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Another expensive $160 per night motel in a country town! Recently built and in very good order! Swimming pool that I did not use! Nothing in the fridge apart from the milk! Difficult to get a beet but Dan Murphy is just up the road. Restaurant was not open ? COVID 19 stuff! Overall very good but the shower is better in the Bounty! And the food is great in the Bounty restaurant!

Modern and comfortable

Very comfortable and quiet even though the motel is on the main road. The rooms with the balcony that look over the pool are very spacious. The balcony gives you privacy from the other guests so makes a nice place to eat a take away meal.

I like the Gateway because it is modern, clean and the beds are comfortable. It is also close to good places to eat.

We really enjoyed our stay . Great staff nice pool. BUT . One reason for staying was the restaurant but it wasn't open at night while we were there . Its not open every day for breakfasts . We had breakfast and it was great food . Restaurant needs to be open every day for breakfast and dinner .

The friendly staff and management looked after us as a group and took care of any special requests .... just great

Complete lack of customer service skills at check in, and my earlier request by messaging the hotel to join two single beds together was completely ignored and a poor excuse from front office staff member. Very disappointed.

The bed was comfotable. The motel is in a central position.

We loved eveything about the room and motel and also loved the bed was so comfy and pillows were so soft really nice and it was very clean thumbs up to the whole team and thank u for the early check in will go back for sure

Unfair

Happy with all the workers, food and bar staff. On departure I received an unusual email about their bank details changing. I dropped back in to check what this has to do with me as they had my cc details to make final charges. The lady at the counter was explaining it to me when an older gentleman interjected uninvited and was as rude as ever, smug and sarcastic. After this I have made the decision to never return to this place again. Unfair to the rest of their team as they were excellent. I will make regular visits to the area, around 30 nights a year and will be looking else where.

Our overall experience was excellent, the room and motel very clean and tidy. The room was very quiet and spacious.

Next door to barking dogs that bark all night long and early mornings!

Solid motel and good facilities - needs a better clean through out the bathrooms

A Lovley venue for a rest.

The Lismore Gateway was clean and neat with a very engaging staff; close to anything you might wish to see in the area.

We stayed for 3 nights. Cleaning was pulling up the beds not even making them properly or picking up pillows off the floor. No vacuuming of the room or bathroom. No wiping of the benches. Extremely disappointed.

Went to Lismore for a sporting event held Southern Cross uni.. Gateway compared to other people’s accom photo was total luxury... Gateway is great location to everything around Lismore, we walked 3 min to Lismore Workers club - great feed & kids (10-12yrs )loved the play room, 5min to town centre... Despite being on main road, glass doors are sound proof so heard absolutely nothing.. We had a king room #6 with balcony over the pool & would gladly stay there again.

Overnight for business

A good hotel for a mid-week stay. There were some issues with the shower but it was handled well. The on site restaurant did a great meal, well priced and the rooms were well appointed

Very neat & tidy, close to heart of town has a restaurant open for breakfast & dinner only some days found this a little inconvenient for a family especially in the morning. Staff were very friendly.

The room was clean and roomy, with a really comfortable King bed. Staff friendly and welcoming.

Central location for our needs large rooms great bathroom and the restaurant was excellent food well prepared for both dinner and breakfast Shell and Nicole looked after us very well 😀

Our key cards didn’t work and had to be reprogrammed, a small thing, but we were staying there for medical reasons and after travelling needed to urgently use the facilities. The delay nearly undid us!

Nice and clean

Great place and friendly staff. Bed was a bit hard and not so soundproof but otherwise a great hotel.

Staff went out of their way to assist us with a late check-in, were flexible with children's meals and generally went over and above to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. The central location is excellent too.

I regularly stay here for business and it is in my opinion the best hotel available in the area. Staff are always friendly and the rooms have everything you would expect from a hotel.

Everything about this motel was outstanding. It seemed more like a high class city hotel than your average country motel.

The bath room had drain flies all over the place which disgusted me, the towels and bed sheets did not look clean

Quiet room overlooking car park and neighbors. Was very refreshing to have a window that one could open to get fresh air with no security risk at night. Big well appointed bathroom but was lacking a few essential toiletries like bath / shower gel. Used the shampoo in the bath and then that was it. Lovely well presented breakfast. Fairly basic facility, clean neat and tidy but felt pretty spartan, good if you are not looking for luxury, a great bed and a quiet nights sleep was what I desperately needed and got. Happy :)

Quality Motel in Lismore

Stylish modern accommodation, friendly staff. Restaurant a plus with quality meals.

Manager was brilliant, there were no available taxis, so the manager drove us to a party we were attending.

A relaxing haven after a full day on the road.

This is easily the best motel in Lismore. It is relatively new, fresh, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. All rooms have a very pleasant balcony that overlooks the pool. The pool area with its well tended tropical gardens and water feature creates a relaxed holiday vibe.

Staff great . Lovely meal. Rooms were good but need a slip mat in the shower as it is very slippery when wet. Will stay there again though

Centrally located in Lismore, the gateway motel is value for money compared to other motels in area. We where in a bright room with no traffic noise. Will stay again.

Very disappointing the restaurant and bar closed Sat night despite the website stating closed on Sundays only. Would not recommend to weekend stayers. Vending machine products were all stuck no one to contact despite visiting reception prior to closing.

Great Staff and Comfortable Stay

Amanda and the staff at Lismore Gateway were exceptional. Nothing was a problem - from having a few drinks in the lounge early afternoon to finding my mobile phone which I left behind. Great service. Comfy rooms and bed too - with a large bathroom. Two points for fellow travellers: Sundays are very quiet - no lounge or dining room service. Also the rooms in the back overlook many homes which can be quite noisy. The hotel is in a great location and we will use it again when we are in Lismore. Thank you.

The Gateway was a fantastic place for our stopover in Lismore. Everything was clean and the room was spacious and well appointed. Despite being on the highway the room was quiet . We will definitely stay there again.

Good location in town - opposite supermarket which is handy. Only issue was we got a family room and it was a tight fit for the 3 of us.

Overall impression

Poor directions from carpark to room. No instruction for use of air cond. Closure of restaurant not shown on booking site. Swipe cards cancelled after one use in stairs. Not explained when provided.

Close to town centre where I had to work. WOTIF said it has a restaurant but when i arrived I was told that the restaurant was not working.

When we stayed it was just after the floods so the restaurant and other facilities weren't available. But the rooms are clean and very comfortable - in fact the beds are probably one of the most comfortable beds and pillows that I've had.

Is more like a hotel due to the excellent service , cleanliness and proximity to everything . Is also directly opposite supernarmarket. This place far exceeds expectation of it's in town rivals, will stay here again no problem.

Great hotel with spacious rooms

The room was large with a spacious bathroom, it also appeared to be soundproof and we were opposite the lift and next to the vending and ice machine. Well laid out, wide walkways with a lift from the car park underneath the rooms. The car park was also spacious and well lit. The staff were accommodating and customer service focussed. The grounds and gardens are very well maintained. Would definitely stay here again.

Athe motel was everything required for our one night stay in Lismore

Nice hotel close to the city center

The hotel was very nice and a short walk to the city center.

Did you hear the aircon? Nope. EXACTLY!

Our king-size bed was quite comfortable in this motel, where all rooms exist a floor above the main lobby and restaurant level. The compendium warns guests that the air-conditioning system runs quietly, and may deceive them into thinking it's not running - and that is a totally true statement! Other high rated hotels have systems that drone on all night and need at least one night to get used to. Lismore Gateway has a beautifully quiet system which should help you get a great night's sleep. Evening bar staff are helpful and fun to talk to, and everything is efficiently handled.
