It was very clean and quiet. Our room had a little kitchen, which was key since there wasn’t much nearby/walkable for food and drink. The pools, the kayaks, and beach area were very nicely maintained. We would stay here again.

Given a terrible room

We arrived early and were told we would be called when a room was ready for us. We were never called. I went back at 4:00 pm when I was told one would for sure be ready, only to find others who were being assigned rooms ahead of us. The room we were given was off-site a couple of blocks away and supposedly the last room available. Our room was directly above the pump room for the building so every time anyone used water the very loud pump went off for a while. This went on for hours each morning and evening. I complained and asked for a different room but they said there were none now available.

Wonderful vacation with my hubby!! Pros: Beautiful location! It’s a nice slow paced area, much different than Miami or even Key West. Nice pool area. Helpful staff. Cons: Must drive to stores and restaurants, nothing walkable except the restaurant at the resort.

we liked the room, however I wish a picture of the actual room we were to be staying in was provided, and its exact location. The pics provided were at the main resort, we were under the impression that is were we booked, not across the street away from the main resort. that part was disappointing.

The wife and I booked a little getaway for a week at the Florida Keys, we researched a lot of places and settled on this resort. Upon our arrival was very happy with the location and size of the room. We received a balcony room over looking the water and beach. Room was well stocked with fridge, coffee, microwave and beach towels. This resort also has many amenities on property too! There are yard games, yoga, kayaks, paddle boards, and a large swimming pool all on site for guests to use. Overall was very pleased with our stay and the restaurant on property was convenient for when we didn't feel like leaving the resort. Would certainly stay here again if we are back in the area.

Worth the stay!

Check in process was easy. The townhouse we stayed in was clean, spacious, well equipped with washer/dryer too and the balcony overlooked the canal which was very serene. The resort also has a bar and restaurant on the property which makes it convenient. Great location. Many good restaurants within 15 minutes. Would stay again.

A typical roadside hotel with beautiful sunset views. First the pros: the view, everything in the room was tastefully renovated and clean. The views were great and the beach area overlooking the water is a nice place to relax. The restaurant next door was fine and convenient. The kayaks and bike rentals were nice... Things could be better: there is not much to do on Long key and it is not super close to anything. The hotel is right on the highway, so I am not sure the balcony room was worth the extra money given that the road noise ruined the experience. We were in the southernmost building closest to the road, so maybe a different unit would have been better? However, the worst part was that the hotel allows smoking, and our unit had clearly been smoked in by the last guest and had a very overwhelming smell which ruined the stay. To make matters worse, the hotel tried to cover up the smell with deodorizer... We had to keep the balcony door open for several hours before the smell was even bearable. While the room had a sign asking guests to smoke outside, they clearly didn't enforce it. I am surprised that hotels still allow smoking in 2025 - and there was nothing on the listing that indicated that it could be a smoking room. If you are going to allow smoking, it should be clearly stated. For what we payed, I was beyond disappointed. The place was completely booked, so there were no other rooms to move to to avoid the smell and the noise...

Ok stay but a little disappointed

Disappointed that there was no access to a beach. Yes, you could see the water and there was sand but no way to get in the water. Really expensive for what you actually get. Also ridiculous that they charge you $50 a day IN CASE you break something or take something then you have to wait to get it back. There is also not a lot to do around the place. Have to travel in either direction a ways to find something to do. Florida Boys, the restaurant was really the only place close to eat and they were a bit pricey, but most places in the Keys were also very pricey. Make sure if you do book that get the room you need because there is no elevator to the second floor.

Lime Tree Bay Resort was a little slice of paradise. The staff is very friendly and considerate. The rooms are clean and quiet. The pool and grounds were clean. Plenty of places to chill out and relax. Water toys allow you to commune with nature. We were lucky and had dolphins swimming within feet of our Kayaks. I highly recommend the resort. The restaurant next door has good food and everyone we spoke to at the bar was friendly.

Filthy floors.

We stayed 3 days at the Lime Tree Bay portion of the Lime Tree Hotel/Resort. We noticed how the bottoms of our feet were “filthy” each evening before going to bed but assumed it was a result of sitting outside on our balcony/attached porch. (After all, it was a porch and housekeeping was probably not responsible for that). The third morning (after showering), ), we realized it was actually the floor of the room we were in. We took a picture of the bottom of my foot and showed it to the clerk when we checked out and told her about the cleaner only coming in to change the towels on 2 of the 3 days…nothing else done. She said she would let housekeeping know. When I pay over $300. each day gir a room, I expect a clean room, not just towels.

Great place to go and relax

Excellent staff, comfortable, and best of all relaxing. The restaurant next door has excellent Mahi tacos.

Beautiful property, great views, wonderful staff, great location and amenities. High expectations from website research were exceeded. We highly recommend and look forward to returning.

The entire staff was so helpful from the time we arrived until we left. I would definitely recommend this property to all of our friends and family.

Disappointed view

We were send to another part of the resort away from the main area. We didnt like it, it has privacy but no view whatsoever.

Beautiful location. We enjoyed the use of the free bicycles. On site restaurant was good for breakfast every morning. Will definitely return.

Nice place but had roaches in the room and the toilet didn’t flush well. Considering what I paid for the room I’d probably not stay again unless those issues were remedied.

Wish I could have stayed longer

A great place to stay

My husband and I were very pleased with our stay. The staff was always so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean! You couldn’t beat the view while sitting by the pool or on the beach. There were bikes and kayaks and paddle boards which we took advantage of. There was also ping-pong, cornhole and a giant chest set all right on the beach. There is a restaurant and bar on the premises that was fun. The sunsets were spectacular. Highly recommend this establishment.

I personally love the little fishing dock. Sunsets were great and early morning fishing was fun

Quite and nice place to stay. building is little bit old , but they keep it in good shape It’s two level property that we booked second level with high ceiling . We had microwave, but first floor has stove . Decent Resturant is in walking distance for breakfast and lunch It doesn’t have sandy beach as it is located on Bay

Amazing experience

Nice stay. Quiet and relaxing. Grounds kept up nice. Only complaint is that the floors were dirty in the unit. Not cleaned before my stay.

We had a lovely stay at Lime Tree Bay! We even decided to book on an extra night as we loved it there, they have free use of paddle boards and kayaks and the location mid way down the keys is perfect.

We stayed here for your weekend getaway. We really enjoyed the Tranquility and serenity of this place. We totally recommended will definitely be coming back. The room was beautiful, clean not stuffy the balcony that overlook the water truly amazing.

Great hotel!

The room was clean, recently updated and close to everything. There was a daily cleaning service, which is rare these days. The Florida Boy restaurant was good. Pool was amazing. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful beach with palm trees, lovely sunset views. Restaurant next door, which is convenient (they do carry-out) and convenience store across the street.

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Property was very clean. Kayaks, bikes, ping pong table, cornhole, hammocks, picnic tables, 2 heated pools, lounge chairs, beach towels, coffee, all at our disposal, and free of charge. Restaurant on premises.

Very nice, secluded and quiet. Only one restaurant nearby, but it is fine. Easy biking with bikes they loan you for free. The only thing that would make it nicer is if they had a hot tub!

Only reason im putting 4 stars is because our room was on a different property than the main property which is different from the pics. This was a bit upsetting due to the fact that the whole reason why we booked this place was for the ocean in-front of the room. Instead we had a pool view and a channel. We enjoyed our balcony area however the view of the ocean was not there…over all our place was very quiet and about 20 mins to parks,restaurants, and activities. With this being said, we were able to walk across to the Florida Boy for breakfast and had delicious breakfast for a great price. In the main property there is a bunch of hammocks, pool , beautiful ocean view, and games like bean bag toss,life size chess,and ping pong. All in all i would like to come back to this place however with the view that is promised in the pictures.

After Ft. Lauderdale and key west, this was a welcome sight. This is such a beautiful place. Our room was so spacious , modern and clean. The view from our balcony and proximity to the adjacent restaurant was what we needed. Great food, strong drinks and solitude.

Wonderful place

It was fine. We wanted to break up the drive to Key West and this was a good stop. We visited the nearby State Park and easily got to Islamarada for dinner.

Live music at the neighboring restaurant was a little too loud on Friday night.

Room with a view

Views were beautiful. Location was good. Unfortunately it was quite cool and windy so we could not enjoy the paddleboards and kayaks. The only reason my overall was not full stars is because our room was in a spot that we could hear the road noise. If we visit again I would request a room away from the main road.

This was our first time to the Islamorada area and we were not sure about staying so far 'out of town' as it is about a 15 minute ride to the main area of Islamorada where the primary shopping and entertainment is. That said- we were so happy we chose Lime Tree! The resort was excellent is every way!. Plenty of seating of various kinds over the property (hammocks, reclining beach chairs, chairs with tables) and they were spread out in a comfortable way. The pool was warm (pleasantly, but not too warm) and a nice size. Views were beautiful. Free amenities which we enjoyed. The restaurant was good for drinks and bar food (other than that your driving to town). There is a convenience store across the street for snacks and beverages. Very casual and laid back property. We would absolutely stay here again! There was some road noise at AM 'rush hour' but not so much that we were bothered. We opted for one of the larger single bed rooms for a few more dollars and I think that money was well spent. The room had some silverware, paper towels etc which was helpful. Several people grilled on the property when we were there which we would do next time. Finally, I found the property map, on the Lime Tree web site very helpful to see where rooms were located. Nice place!

The property advertises fishing but on an active day you got paddle boards in the water, snorkeling , lacking , also people trying to catch the sunset, doesn’t leave a lot of room for the person fishing off the pier!

This was a beautiful and private location with the beach outside our door, along with the pool! We felt like we were truly on a tropical vacation!

Beautiful property and loved the heated Pool. Only downside was this rental was off property so had to cross busy hwy 1.

I stayed here four days on my way to Key West. The property is beautiful, very clean. I loved my room. King bed, waterfront.

Great beach front property. Free yoga classes! Breakfast at the restaurant next door was very good. Nice espresso machine in the lobby. My only complaint was the bed… way too soft!

Excellent customer service!

Property is kept in pristine condition. Staff is always cleaning and working on the grounds. Staff is very friendly and informative. The views are gorgeous, nothing better than waking up to the sound of the wind blowing through the palm trees and subtle sounds of the water washing along the shoreline.

Right on the water

Location was a great central location for going both to upper and lower keys. Beautiful Long Key State Park just down the road. Wonderful heated pool and other water paddling accommodations. Staff was so very nice and helpful!

Our stay was great! The grounds were beautiful and the staff very attentive daily and when an issue did arise. We would definitely stay here again.

This property was great but be sure to check your credit card bc I was charged twice once in Expedia and then once there. The staff fixed it but wouldn’t have if I didn’t catch it and report it. The property was amazing though and I would highly recommend staying here.

Location was not great and resort was not either.

Great service and staff. We were staying in the apartments off property. There should really be a designated cross walk across the highway to the main property. There was no good place to cross the busy highway, especially in the dark.

The property was decent and had a restaurant right next to it which was pretty clutch! We just happened to go on a weekend where it only rained.

I have been traveling many places in my life but by far this is worst one. There was supposed free hot breakfast that comes with the room but instead two options of cereal and a pastry basket that comes with frozen fruits or yogurts and juice. They have been bad service as well and even some people walked out from it. It’s is very beautiful place but service and lies about the hot breakfast is bad.

It’s a best location

The girls hosting the properties were fun patient and very eager to serve our every request making our stay very pleasant. Andrea made our day upgrading us to an Oceanfront suite with a kitchenette. That impressed us the most. We will definitely make this beautiful place Our go to when we just have to get away from it all. The complementary kayaks, bikes, and paddle boards made us enjoy the properties even more. We would definitely recommend this to somebody visiting the keys for the first time. The location allowed us to visit the keys even better. The reasonable price gave us a good bang for our buck. We’re definitely going to return to this beautiful property with the magnificent sunsets.

Key get away

We had an early arrival to a wedding weekend and spent the night here for fun. We found it to be very nice and well kept.

This hotel has everything you want and is so well maintained. A little piece of paradise.

The check in and check out processes were quick and easy. The staff were very helpful and always quick to respond to any requests we had. The unit was very clean and stocked well with everything you need. We did have a slight issue with a ceiling fan, but other than that, no problems at all. We would suggest more dishes in the unit for larger groups, but had plenty for our group. The pool was warm and awesome! Having the continental breakfast was a big plus! The property was family friendly, clean, and quite. Parking was easily accessible. We would definitely stay again!
