Great stay
Information should be given on time of booking no WiFi no restaurant and workmen are on site doing renevations. Room was very clean and comfortable.
Lovely room with a super comfortable bed. Nice setting on the lake. Good coffee from on-site cafe. Great staff who were very helpful with my after hours check in.
Property was nice to stay at, although staff were rude when we had originally booked a room and was put into a room that did not accommodate our needs.
The room was clean & neat/comfortable, however none of the facilities were available at time of my stay- no restaurant, no bar & no pool. It wouldve been preferable to advise people of this before they make a booking. There was nothing on website about this. Disappointing.

Enjoyable stay. Clean,large room. Bed was super comfortable. No restaurant at moment but didn't bother us. Good value for money.
Wait for the Renos to Finish
The property is under massive amounts of construction and renovation so is offering no services (breakfast, pool, bar, etc). Now is perhaps not the best time to stay at this property
Last minute stay
We booked late through a 3rd party seller, just needing a single night and hadn't realised that the resort is currently being refurbished and several of its facilities are closed but we got a friendly phone call to point this out and offer us the option of changing our minds. It wasn't needed - we were happy to stay. Chose the premium room and we found it to be clean, spacious and to our requirements. Linens and pillows were good. Mugs were tiny but we can forgive that. The reception staff were more than accommodating at our request for a late check out and for that we are very grateful. We would usually chose to stay somewhere much more individual but for the single night we were happy with the Kununurra Lake Resort
The hotel room was lovely and the staff were all very accomodating and friendly. I think once all the renovations (e.g wifi/restaurant/pool/washing facilities) it will be a stand out place. However, It was pleasant even without these for my short stay.
Location is very good. The renovations were disappointing
This place should be closed until the renovations are completed, its a demolition site, we weren't told that the bar, restaurant, pool and caravan were all closed. Clem in reception was very helpful but had a hard job with all the works going on and the complaints.
Clean room for a quick overnight stay. Unfortunately coffee and cups available but no kettle
Our week in Kununurra!
We stayed here for 7 nights. Our room was nice and location was good, 15 minutes walk from town. Clementine was very helpful but unfortunately restaurant was closed and the resort is having major renovations. Our room was cleaned every second day, value for money was good.
No go…..
Enjoyed it all but in need of serious upgrades ….. This has detoriated since our last visit in 2018 & will not stay again as I thought brekki was included to b told in arrival none Excellent position
As the resort will soon be undergoing a makeover, the room was rather dated, but very clean and comfortable. It is very quiet with great views and walks around Lake Kununurra. Also close to town. The staff and especially John went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
We loved the location right on the lake with its peaceful views, visiting green frog, birds, small lizards and geckos. Our room was spacious and well planned, a large continental breakfast was provided daily, including cereal, fruit, yoghurt and juice and milk and cold water were also waiting in the fridge. Our cleaner, Anna, was so friendly, as were the reception staff and groundsman. We enjoyed our stay very much and didn't want to leave!
Great sheets. Quiet. Not having the restaurant open is a real pain!! My Room was not serviced as per their policy. Not my favourite place it stay in Kununurra but still quite nice.
Disappointed in Kununurra
I was arriving late so sent a email to ask about booking in, I didn't receive a reply so phoned on the day, the phone contact was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy. I didn't have a cuppa because the milk was already open and half used. No shampoo or conditioner were supplied. Hand made soaps were nice.
This accommodation was fine and affordable for us. It is waiting for a refurbishment. As such, the pool was not inviting, the restaurant and bar were closed. On the plus side it was clean, comfortable, safe and very quiet - other than the amazing bird life.The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is not included. Not too far from the town center but you do need a car to get to this place. Regardless - we enjoyed our stay.
Surprised visit.
Room was basic for an overnight stay. Bathroom bin was still full from previous clieñts. Got into bed and a large cockroach ran out from under the single bed. It is not uncommon but not welcoming. Reception lady was polite helpful and friendly.
Our "home base" in Kununurra for three days, the Lakeside Resort was a great place to stay. Hopefully, they get the restaurant up and running again soon, as it was also a great venue to eat in the past.
The tarriff was good however we only recieved clean towels and linen once in 4 days. There wasn't a broom to sweep the floor. If you pay the same rate each night you should have clean towels and room cleaned each day.
Lovely clean and spacious room. Beautiful relaxing pool.
A few mishaps
Must of been some glitch between Hotels.com and the resort as they did not have our reservation, even though I received confirmation email. Also when I rang asking about getting from the airport I was told to organise a taxi. Taxi's in Kununurra are like hens teeth. When we got to the hotel they said they would have picked us up in the shuttle bus. However, no one said that on the phone. We did get a room anyway even though our booking was not there. The booking also included breakfast but they were only serving dinner. So need to correct that in your advert. The staff were lovely and very apologetic. It's a bit out of the way, and ok if you have a car.
Great place to stay for a few days while exploring our north.
Nice premises and good accomodation with good facilities. Staff have been very helpful. The sunset over the Lake is beautiful
The property was clean and tidy although no option for breakfast was available
This is a very good spot to stay - pet friendly and amazing staff- everyone we dealt with was super helpful and professional- will definitely go back. The room did not appear to have been as thoroughly cleaned as I’d hoped.
Nice hotel in good location. Close to lake and Kununurra. Nice pool & bar/restaurant. Friendly staff.
Loved the quite and food drink was good too. Ate 2 nights and menu was varied
When in Kununurra
A lovely peaceful lakeside setting, comfortable room, restaurant and pool on site. Exceptional staff and the addition of a late check out made our stay very enjoyable.
Kununarra
Felt they were totally dollar driven ,never a knife or fork out you always had to ask, making a profit is not a dirty word but sometimes give a little and you receive .fridge ran all night so turned it off and on in the morning . Clean ,beaut location , so close to being perfect, would stay again
Rooms are fitted with good kitchen facilities. Staff were ready to help. Bar & bistro offered reasonable choices. Parking a bit haphazard. Open and quiet. Short run into town.
The property itself was in fantastic condition, everything where it was supposed to be and in working order. The staff were brilliant, they went above and beyond to make sure my stay was fantastic. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the service was second to none.
Poor Service
I was yelled at through the door on arrival. "Go to the bar". I got to the bar and was given a key to a room that wouldn't open the door. Back to the bar to discover that the staff knew the key wouldn't work. Bathroom was not clean and inhabited by frogs. Very difficult to get service at the bar/bistro.
Good all round accommodation
Great location and outside bar area. Rooms very tidy and staff friendly would definitely stay again
good location and facilities. Nice and helpful staff who go above and beyond to ensure a great stay
Good Value accommodation
great but breakfast was very modest
Stayed at the Lakeview Resort recently whilst in Kununurra for work. Staff were excellent, food was great the room was very nice overlooking the pool & lake. I would certainly recommend staying here.
Comfortable stay
Staff friendly and helpful.
Relaxed atmosphere
most helpful staff we encountered. Adequate rooms, some refurbished
close to town and right on the water
pleasant surroundings, people we met were nice and friendly happy to talk about their caravan or camper trailer. lots of bird life to watch and listen to when having a cold one next to the waters edge.
dining around the pool area was very nice
Decent enough if you want a place for the night.
The Kununurra Lakeside Resort was a nice enough place to stay although the room was somewhat basic and the access to internet was restricted to only certain parts of the resort area (e.g. the lounge/pool area). On the other hand, the amount of internet you could use was unlimited compared to many other Australian motels, particularly in regional areas.
Comfortable enough for the price but very aged. Good location on the lake, walking distance to town. Restaurant was very disappointing for the price of meals
Friendly staff and lovely surroundings plus convenient location
Room was well below acceptable. Days of dirt on floor and shelves. Bed getting on.
Comfortable with friendly staff
Rooms comfortable but tired & needing some repairs. Staff great as was food
Exceptionally clean
After staying in several rather rundown NT motels in recent weeks, this one was so exceptionally clean and tidy I was blown away. Someone is doing a lot of hard work here.
Very close to the Kununurra lake
We stayed in the refurbished motel style room that was comfortable. We dined one night at the restaurant/bar food average really.. nothing to rave about.
Nice Resort with a range of options
I had the pleasure of staying in the King Room. You would think you were in a hotel in the city. The view was breathtaking. There are options to tent, campervan or stay in a cabin as well.
Great hotel in great location
Great location by the lake, very comfortable and clean room, staffs are very helpful and friendly, I will definite recommend it for traveller going to Kununarra!
Best place to stay in Kununurra
The Lakeside Resort is a wonderfully relaxing place to stay in Kununurra, with expansive lawns and shady trees beside a tranquil lake. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and perfectly adequate. Dining options at the restaurant / bar are simple, good quality and reasonably priced. Other places in Kununurra may be more posh or centrally located , but I believe the Lakeside Resort is, all considered, the best place to stay.
Easy to return to
Really enjoyed our stay, bed was comfy, shower was very ordinary and the fan in the bathroom noisy. Overall the facilities were great, restaurant was well priced, food lovely, enjoyed the entertainment.
Well located resort, with terrific facilities
We drove to Kununurra for Easter from Darwin, with no expectations of how the weekend would pan out. We had THE most amazing few days in Kununurra and the local area. The Lakeside Resort was an excellent base in Kununurra, and we would thoroughly recommend it to other travellers. The on-site evening dining was simple, but good value, fresh salad to accompany, and a relaxing outdoor setting poolside. Our cabin style accommodation had a kitchenette for breakfast preparation and we were able to pack lunch to take out with us. There are BBQ facilities.
Nice view
Room was smaller than we expected but for 2 nights was fine. Very quiet and lovely setting on the lake, very helpful,staff
Nice clean hotel next to a beautiful lake to watch
Stayed 3nights. Good location, continental breakfast part of package. Pool area nice. Beat part was sitting down the bank of the lake to watch the sunset, beautiful!
Nice park area. Quiet
Resort is probably a bit it of a bridge too far. I think it was good in its heyday. Comfortable and staff were lovely.
lovely view of the lake
Very helpful staff, the facilities at Lake view very relaxing, enjoying the resturant facilities at the pool side, all refreshing after exploring Kununurra. Loved the extra chairs and tables outside with Lakeviews.
On the lake
We stayed over Christmas so were the only people in the hotel.The staff were friendly and helpful. Motel rooms are clean and bed was comfortable.
Facilities: What we needed; Value: Affordable, Cheapest in K'ra; Service: Go the extra mile, Chris (f) was EXCELLENT!; Cleanliness: Adequate;
Facilities: Top of the line; Value: Fantastic; Service: Remarkable; Cleanliness: Spotless;
poor value
This is very poor compared to world standard. In most countries this would be a hostel. The people are very nice. I don't understand why there so many substandard and expensive accomodation in australia. $29.00 for a small piece of fish and salad is exorbitant. This is not gourmet
Facilities: Home away from home; Value: Amazing; Service: Remarkable; Cleanliness: Spotless;
Staff were very helpfull
Value: Affordable; Service: Friendly; Cleanliness: Tidy;
Value: Pricey;
Value: Affordable; Service: Courteous; Cleanliness: mould and layers of it; fire alarm in room continually going off from early morning- not a great start to the day

Room was very good, well fitted out and clean. A lot of construction around the site but from what i saw once construction is finished the area will be much improved.
