We have chosen a room with animals view. Can sit relax in the room looking out at the lovely view of the Flamingos, Zebras, Ostrich, Rhinoceros and many more
Driving guidance lines are unclear
The driving routes and signs from entering the park to arriving at the hotel confirmation counter are not very clear!
Smelled terrible because of the zoo. Old and not nicely renovated. Poor layout in Conga room (two showers in same room)
There are many fine facilities to play for kids. The price in the restaurant is more expensive than others outside the park.
Best part of the property were the animals and the interactions and activities related to the animals. The property was old and needed some updates. Due to the age and design of the rooms, the rooms looked dated. The room we booked was also way overpriced. Food options were limited, there were basically only 1 restaurant available for dinner and food was bland. Attraction was also old and many of the rides were rusty. Overall quite disappointing.
Lack of FOOD
Staff were amazing. What is seriously lacking is FOOD. There’s only 1 restaurant which is fully booked for such a Big establishment. No other places where food is available. Luckily the helpful staff helped to order pizza for us.
Everything was great about the resort except their heating system. Even after adjusting the heater to 30celcius, the room temperature was at 17 celcius all evening. The staff had to bring in a portable heater which only helped a bit. Think it was because the place was fully booked and their heater couldn’t handle the volume.
Not worth paying a premium for the resort stay. The mattress was too soft and uncomfortable, the bedsheets smells of animals poop and my son slipped fell inside the slippery toilet floor. =(
Much better than expected for a safari hotel! Loved the shuttle and proximity to the park
A different type of hotel experience whereby you can view safari animals on your balcony. Limited dinning option and very pricey for animal interaction. Short walk to the theme park.

The concept of hotel within a zoo and theme park is very unique. The downside is that there are limited food places and shops (mini mart) options.
Great stay, was able to see animals roaming around. Food was good and service was excellent (especially the driver who drives the van between the resort and theme park).
I liked the animal themed hotel and being able to see animals outside the window first thing in the morning. The resort could provide more transport options as the location is quite inaccessible.
We had breakfast and dinner Food was bad can’t expect a food like this with such a famous hotel. No heating provided for stay although it’s gets cold at night. Long wait for checkin and was really a mess. Overall ok stay will not go back and not recommend
Be able to see animal right out of bedroom window is incredible
Great. So nice. Thank you.
Air conditioner is very noisy at night especially at the second floors. The view is great, we can see
除了價格略貴以外,其他都很滿意 可以和起床就看到動物很新奇
房間整潔,窒內也大,带孫女走一趟享受森林動物的樂趣不錯。
Great place for family.
A Theme Park Safari Resort
The rooms were amazing and the kids were extremely happy to see the animals within the comfort of the rooms. The respective themes of the rooms adds to the joy of the kids. A positive experience thru the enjoyment of the theme park located just next to the resort.

Room rather old but still clean. Many animals mu girl is happy
Food has little selections and expensive. Bed is too soft. No covered bridge to rooms. Separate toilet (without washing sink). Too dark inside room. Has baby bathing tub and bed prepared. No Giraffe when weather is cold. None was seen.
Lowest form of stay, Budget hostel stay at 5 star hotel price!
Old facility without proper maintenance. Stairs to loft was slanted, under the beds were very dusty, lousy food, no sofa for proper seating. Not worth the money.
Great stay but come with a high price. The connection from main receptionist area to rooms do not have shelter, so if it is raining, you will have to bash thru the rain if you are not able to find an umbrella.
Very good stay
Thanks for the upgrades. Whole family appreciated and really enjoy the stay. We will definitely come back again.
Room was overall clean but the temperature in the room was not adjustable. The heating function was not adjustable. Got to see animals up close and it was a really great experience for the kids. The breakfast buffet was very good and selection was excellent.
Happy to see the animals within then resort.. To improve on the menu of dinner/breakfast.
It was really exciting for all of us to stay so near to the animals, especially at close distance to the rhinoceros and giraffe. The room was awesome and the kids like the dining table. The welcome performance by the African was refreshing.
Overrated on the animals surrounding the resort. Didn't see many.... Breakfast spread is good though
animals in the hotel enclosure was the unique feature of the stay. Very pleasant to be able to wake up to see the animals from the room window. Food variety was adequate. Advisable to book room with dinner inclusive as no surrounding food choices available.
Good for a short stay to experience safari stay with the animal view especially travellers with children. Room also clean and comfortable. Staffs are friendly and helpful too, however resort is quite a distance from amenities more than 10km away from the popular Zhongli night market.
Very close to animals but with a safe distance. Children were very happy to be close to animals. Lower level maybe with larger room area and a big glass separate from outside. Higher level (my stay) with balcony where you can see animals without barriers. Not very suitable if kids around terrible two. No enough safety equipment inside the room as there’s a smaller non standard “2nd floor”. Your little ones may enjoy exploring higher area or crawling up and down. Need extra attention to keep them away from the stairs.
Animals near to the room, activities within the resort
Staff are friendly and helpful. Great for vacation with kids to see wildlife and experience with animals.
Unique experience but need more animals
The hotel condition is actually good despite what some others say. It’s clean, spacious, with good soap and shampoo provided. You have to prepare other toiletries like toothbrush or comb though as they don’t provide. Food is decent and wide variety. Slightly disappointing was that there was only 1 zebra, 1 giraffe, 2 rhinos, and a few goats that always keep to their corners. Should have more animals of each kind so that they will roam around more often.
Family Holiday Destination
Stayed 4 nights with a packaged deal with meals, theme park tickets and room overlooking the safari park. Extremely good value. On arrival Chris at reception explained everything we needed to know to have the best experience possible for our four night stay. Thoroughly enjoyed the theme parks, safari activities and especially the dinners and breakfasts.
This resort is over-priced and rather old. Most activities have to paid for at unfriendly prices. 3-star hotels at 5-star rates. Will not return ever again.
1 night family stay
a 1 night stay. arrived at the hotel at 9am and went to window on China before checking in at 2.30pm. the next day go to leofoo theme park. requested for room 116 after reading review that it has the best view. indeed room 116 view is nice and can see the giraffe, zebra and rhino roaming around. disappointed the the giraffe didnt knock on my window.. the room is big (if it is not big, I dont know the price i pay for is for what purpose). the 2 double bed is big too with 2 giant pillow. bed is comfy, can sleep well, toilet is a bit troublesome. the toilet bowl and the shower area are separate into 2 area. people like me cant do 2 businesses at 1 go. hotel give free photo shoot voucher for a small photo with calendar, if u want bigger photo, need to top up, as usual, this is how the business work. hotel also give 3 nt$50 off with every nt$100 spend. however, it is quite impossible to spend only nt$100 over there. the only good thing is hotel give 1 free postcard. the dinner is not very fantastic with most of the dishes cold. the variety is quite a lot though. same goes to the breakfast but is better than dinner. prepare lotsa snack or instant noodle because when reach night time, there is nothing over there and u need to travel very far for food.
There are many animals like the rhinoceros and the giraffes. The tour guide is very informative and the mascot is very friendly. It likes to take pictures and play with us.
Good family stay but activities too expensive.
The room was very spacious and nice to view the alpacas just right in front of the room. However when we just arrived, I was shocked by the number of people. The resort is very crowded at the check in area. Also the activities are very expensive. For the zoo safari tour, (taking a mini van to tour the safari), costed us 2A2C about 3000NT. Then for the rhino experience costed us 5300NT. It would have been perfect if not for the high prices for the activities. I would say it is an experience that I would only go once, no more 2nd time.
Great to have animals around and helpful staff. But not much to do in area without getting a cab which will need to be booked. There are no Ubers in that area. Theme park will fill up a day if weather is good.
Everything generally OK, but poor housekeeping
The hotel isn't cheap. And for that price tag I would have higher expectations of the basic stuff like housekeeping. The bed linen wasnt lined properly and the mattress was exposed once I pulled the blanket up. Also, the housemaid just chucked the clothes that were on the bed in a corner messily. Alot of other places would have the basic courtesy to at least place then nicely or even folded them for us. That aside, service staff was generally polite and helpful. I liked the aromatic toiletries provided too.
fantastic to see all these animals right in front of eyesight!!!
Nice experience and ideal for family. Like the idea of two bathrooms in the room. More restaurants outlets will be welcomed.
Family friendly room, big room with 2 showers. However tend to be priced like a 5* when it is only about 4* max
Great experience staying with the animals, my children love the place!
Room is quite clean. However nothing much to do there.. just visiting the theme park and joining the activities at the resort. Food options is limited at the resort.
Accommodation standards are 3 stars. Food quality for breakfast and dinner is very poor. Staff are unhelpful - I asked about what kids activities the resort has, the counter staff simply passed me a piece of programme sheet and told me that it is all listed in it - did not bother to help. All activities for kids are charged separately despite already charging a high price for room. Totally not worth the stay. There are better options around in Taipei.
Nice resort. The animals around the hotel rooms make this resort very unique.
The price paid was not worth a stay as when it comes to nite, all the animals hide and there wasn’t any way to see them.Balcony should be provided.Variety of animals are very limited which I don’t feel not any “surprise” experience. When we checked in and it was drizzling and we had to brave through the rain as it is not shelter to the room which I am very shocked. If had I do a bit homework on the resort,I think it will be best to come and take some photo shoots and leave. Overall the experience was not exciting as we expected something extraordinarily experience as a takeaway instead.
Family oriented resort experience
The whole hotel stay is an experience on its own. Animals just outside the rooms awe the kids. Booking came with park tickets but most rides were unavailable when we were there. Breakfast and dinner included also. Wide buffet selection. Price is steep though, I night stay costs more than 3 nights stay in Taichung or in Taipei.
Very good for family with kids up till 12yo. You get to see animals really up close, the guided tour is very informative too
No lift to second floor, nice experience for the kids.
Kid friendly resort. They have many activites that kids can play and have fun =) really like this place. Definitely will come back again with family
Hotel counter staff shld learn to smile more....smile more .......
The concept is good. The services and quality of the room does not justify the price.
Overall acceptable. Hotel staff not friendly at all (not sure if its too late too tiered as i was check in at 7pm) Room are big especially 3 double beds where there are 2 shower room, 2 toilets cubicur, 2 wash area where just nice for big family of 6. Animals are jus fine not as fantastic as taipei zoo. Programme price is too high where i dont think is worth. For 6 person room paying $650 a room night is not worth. But for traveler who will like to experience it yes this definately an experience priceless trip.
Animals - only stayed in one area. Despite choosing the Kenya greenary, cannot see animals outside the room. Also, no lift n no help with luggage. Toilet n bath design is bad. Toilet n bath is far apart. No place to hang the clothes
Better for older kids. Check in staff was not pleasant. But catering reaervation staff named Peggy and her boss was very nice. They went the extra mile to provide breakfast bentos for us as our flight was early in the morning.
out of the world experience with giraffes and zebra right outside our window when we wake up. my kid loves it!
Wonderful place for family especial those who loves animals. Price otherwise is rather on the high side.
Booking with Expedia already stated 3 adults and 1 extra guest but we have been requested by the hotel staff to pay again for the extra guest.
A great experience to be so up close to the animals and I guess that's the whole main catch of this resort. We did not have time to sign up for other programs. Visited the theme park (tix included in room price), weather was rainy but managed to get on some rides with a toddler (ferries wheel, carousel horses, boat ride etc) Room itself is clean and comfortable, very huge pillows and view is good. Only down side of the room is the very bad sound proofing system, and happens to have a few student tours on the very night so its really noisy. Seems like their holiday or graduation trip so its partying till late night and chirpy early morning. Another plus points is they have storytelling every night for children before bedtime. Food selection in resort is normal, nothing fantastic. Food in theme park was very limited as a few restaurants are closed (solely booked by the student tours) so got their set meals which is not tasty at all.
The hotel condition is better than I expected, given it is not a new hotel. The food, both the breakfast buffet and dinner on the ground floor is quite OK. Shuttle car to the theme park is easy to book and convenient.
No attentive service even there is dissatisfaction
Even we paid hk$1800+/night, we could only see mud and fence from our room. When we told them nicely the next early morning at 6:00am that it was disappointing and hoped that they could do something - as we paid so much was just because we could see animals from our room, but now we could only see mud. They offered us to move but only at 1:00pm or 2:00pm.But we needed to go to the water park at noon and so we could not wait till so late. So I ended up in the same room for two nights. Staff were nice but they claimed no power to do anything for me and I needed to wait until 9:00am when the supervisor was there. But the supervisor never talked to me in person and never used his/ her authority to offer us help, and never apologize for not able to do anything! Room is big but is like a 3 star hotel. Good thing is they provide very good transportation to and from the parks. Make it very convenient.
Convenient to amusement park yet expensive resort
Plus: 1. Convenient 5 mins complimentary van drive by resort to the amusement park 2. They used high thread count and quality bedding - very comfortable to sleep 3. Food served at the cafe (same level as the check in) is very tasty. 4. Children love to view the animals!! Cons: 1. Very limited food choices - only 2 restaurants to choose from. As the cafe is very small with limited seating, we are turned down with the crowd expects the capacity. Should consider to add more tables and chairs outside the cafe to cater to the crowd. Resort should also increase the number of restaurants. 2. Unfriendly staff at check in - they seem to be under staffed to handle the crowd. Rarely see them smile. 3. Breakfast stops at 10am which my children cannot wake up in time to use. They were very unfriendly and don’t even bother to convert to other dinner vouchers or other privileges for us. 4. The place for activity is about 5 mins walk away, unsheltered and no directions to get there.
Nice safari hotel
Room is spacious, clean. Staff is friendly and try their best. Kids love it.
Fair experience, not pleasant
Good for young kids (age 4 or under), however the hotel room WiFi is really really bad, not much to do in the evening in the hotel, no kids’ activities, bed are too soft, rooms are pretty old and beat up. Not recommended. The park was crowded, old, and games were very old too. What a waste of resources if no improvement made to the animals safari, could have done better. Please learn from the outside world, because the world is changing, people too. Thanks.
Animal resort
Different kind of hotel experience but not exactly value-for-money
Amazing experience. A special resort.
Not worth to stay 2 nights
We booked a room for 2 nights thinking that we could spend a day doing the activities at the resort and then the next day at Leofoo village. Maybe I had too high expectation for a safari theme resort. I feel that it’s a waste of money if your kids are under 6years old as they don’t qualify for most activities. And their activities are expensive to just feed the animals which you can do so at cheaper price at other farms. Or visit the zoo in Singapore. The DIY activities are colouring party hat and making a keychain. That’s all. Stay if you want to just LOOK at 2 giraffes, 1 zebra and 2 bored rhinoceros (very small space for them) and some lemurs and meerkats, 5 tortoises, flamingos and goat. There was a African dance performance to welcome the guests but I wished the performers could do more like explaining the dance, culture, costumes worn by them. And maybe ask their performers to conduct some African games for kids. Involve the performers more. The resort is not fun. Service counter staff are not friendly. Leofoo village was fun (value for money with free bus ride into the lion’s area. you don’t need to stay at this resort to visit leofoo village. The only plus point was the service given by the manager lady at level 2 Phoenix restaurant, think her name is Wan Chi. She was the only staff who smiled during our stay and asked how’s everything. Overall I didn’t enjoy the boring stay at this resort. More like chalet (bring your own luggage into your room).
Leofoo Resort
Good overall theme park accommodation suitable for family or couple alike. Clean room and very helpful and efficient staff. Only drawback is the limited available cafes / restaurants within the hotel premises but understandable considering the area where the hotel is located.
Paying for view of animal enclosure
Stayed in the congo greenery room with a view of the animal enclosures. The view offers a unique experience but I dont think it is worth the price. It is worse if the view from the room is blocked by a rock or tree. The room is old, though spacious, and could do with some refurbishment. Limited dining options at the hotel and food quality was average. Inconvenient to travel out from the hotel for meals.
unhappy
The hotel is over charge and charge by people. Reception staff is not so nice when we check in. Breakfast is terrible.
Too pricey
The room rates are too pricey. Journey to the resort can be far. Recommend to reach the resort early as the majority of the key programs ends at 5pm. Is cold in the room plus is cement floor. The toddler activity room / DIY room is very old, dirty and not properly manage. Not much activities for toddler. Not recommended with toddlers. Last things, the poor animals got to stay outdoor through out the night in the winter. No proper shelter.
Nice safari-style hotel
The stay was as expected, nice safari-style. My boys had fun watching the animals pass by from their room. The hotel is quite worn-out though; the buffet style beeakfast/dinner needs quicker refills.
Kids heaven
Their 4pax room is very well designed and spacious, 2 bathroom and 1 WC is separated. View from window is average, mine is partially blocked by a rock sculpture. Animal is active, not a lot but is enough to satisfy my kids. Buffet dinner and breakfast which included in the room price is not bad too.
The resort was well kept and the staff friendly and efficient. However, it was run too well, there are specific time slots for dining. It does work well to control over crowding but a little rigid on timing if you are planning free and easy.
Great resort for kids
Kids (4 and 2 years old) had lots of fun thought of course the ones that are more enjoyable requires additional fees. Resort staff were helpful and accommodating to our requests.
Place for young children
This place more suitable with children below 12 years old. If you have children more than 12 years old this might not be suitable.
Great for kids!
We got Room 116 which is just had about the best view of the giraffes and I would recommend visitors to ask for this room if you have a chance. Room was equipped with a goodie bag that had a toy, kids toothbrush set and bedroom slippers which made kids very happy. Kids at and stared at the animals from the inside of the room which is so cool! Would recommend half board as fd is scarce in the resort.
Expensive
Everything is expensive there. Only breakfast is nice.
Excellent resort
It’s a family oriented place for the kids and family, old and young. However, it would be good to have a ramp to push up the luggage to the rooms as currently, there are no elevators. Could perhaps, have a buggy system to take guests to and fro to the theme park.
Nice hotel and close to animals
My family and I enjoyed the stay. It is a great experience to see the animals right outside the window freely moving around. Will stay longer if the price is not so expensive.
The room was nice, spacious, and service was excellent. It would be great if they can update a bit on technology
Gd..loved the nature .
Disappointed!
The stay was good and our kids enjoyed themselves. However, when I called to enquire about iron, they told me the hotel don't have any iron and ironing board. Minutes later, they came with it and told my husband that they specially bought it and required a NT500 deposit. While I was ironing the clothes, I noticed that it was very dusty. This wasn't seems to be a brand new iron n ironing board? While sleeping, my husband and I were bitten by some bugs on the queen size bed and couldn't get to sleep. Hope they will rectify this problem for others to have a enjoyable stays.
Not too bad
Is an exciting stay but the Theme Park was qui
Good stay
Room was great! We had a fantastic view from the balcony. Reception was prompt and helpful. Choices for dining are limited though, esp if you have not made prior reservations. Hotel's approximately an hour drive from taipei city and slightly less than an hour drive to Taoyuan Airport. Kids loved it!
It's all about the animals!
Check in was very disappointing. Staff did not manage to give us the room we requested for even though this was in the request from booking many months ago, also released the room to another guest even though we were there again sharp at checkin time to collect keys (found out coincidentally). Also did not inform us of the activities with the resort which led to my daughter not getting to experience the visit into the enclosure. This was all extremely disappointing as the only reason we chose to stay here and pay a higher price for the selected room was to experience a safari stay and be in close encounters with the animals. Manager Owen offered a room upgrade (with balcony) for the unhappy incident which we did not take up anyway as we preferred a window nearer to the animals. He kindly offered a free meal for my daughter in the restaurant and trip into the amusement park, which was a nice gesture. Thank you Owen.

Clean, service is good.
All clean, service is good. But facilities are old. Refurbishment is necessary.
