Lebua at State is a wonderful property. Great location, 10 minute walk to the pier and easy transport to other places. The view was spectacular and we caught the Friday night fireworks at Asiatique.

Room was impeccably clean and well serviced but very dated. Old carpet, no usb charging points. Biggest issue are lifts- regularly waited 5-10m for a lift to go up or down. Lobby area uninviting and a lot of the building seems unoccupied. Breakfast was excellent but found the lounge opening times limited, and food choices limited so not worth the additional cost, although service exceptional. Hotel was not in a great area- very little going on.

It was amazing stay in Lebua. The staff were very caring and attentive. The lobby was beautiful with all the fresh flowers. It was a memorable stay in Lebua hotel.

Lineups to get to the elevators because of rooftop. Drinks way overprices, $120 CAN for a glass of champagne that was actually Brutt. Couldn’t go to the rooftop bar without buying a drink at the lower bar. Huge money grab hotel… missed our connecting flight due to an 1-1/2 delay and they made us pay for that night and would not comp. overall I say that don’t look out for there guest. $$$$$$ only

I had an awesome stay at Le Bua Suites in Bangkok. The staff were super friendly and always helpful - the room was spacious and had an amazing view of the city. The breakfast was on another level though, it was so good, with tons of options to choose from. The location was also really convenient, making it easy to get around and explore the city. Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely stay here again.

There was never a day they weren’t readily available to assist with all needs. The restaurants were amazing and the complimentary breakfast buffet was stellar! If you are wondering if you should stay here, stop wondering and book the room!

Disappointed

Hotel rooms very outdated. Stayed for mine and my partners anniversary. The hotel messaged beforehand to say they have prepared pastries for us, we never received these. I’m a silver member with hotels.com which should involve x2 free drinks which they said were in the fridge, they weren’t. Overall extremely disappointed with this hotel and would say it’s definitely more of a 4 star. I wouldn’t recommend booking this for a special occasion. We also went to the famous hangover roof top bar, definitely not all as it seems, you get rushed around and drinks are very pricey. We then tried the pink bar instead, I went to take a video of the view and got told I’d have to leave as I can’t take photos? strange. I said no problem we’ll head back down to our room. Everything then changed as the lady started to apologise and say she didn’t realise we were staying in the hotel and that hotel guests can take as many photos as they want. We left as it was just embarrassing at this point and was not a pleasant anniversary evening. We were also offered a late check out at a cost which when we tried to accept they said they couldn’t do anymore as they were fully booked. I explained they still have rooms available on the website but they said it must be an error. We called to have our bags collected before 12 (check out time) and they kept us waiting until 1:30pm so why they couldn’t offer us a late check out I don’t know? There are far better 5* hotels in Bangkok!

Great location, although a somewhat dated property. The staff was attentive and helpful. The complimentary buffet breakfast is simply amazing with its quality and food selection. The gym equipment was on the old side and the pool was cold in the afternoon under the shade. The Sky Bar was a must, as it provided an unparallel view of the Bangkok skyline at sunset. It was a bit pricey but that's as expected. Overall, really enjoyed the stay. Also, the property is located near pier and BTS station.

Ok but not more.

Good lokation, very good breakfast,nice pool area but cold, big comfy room, house keeping very good. But the overall experience is that it is getting old, I had the most expensive Coca Cola ever; 457 bath at the pool, impossible to go to the rooftop bar, it is trying to be 5 star with the dresscode but it fails. If we go to Bangkok again we will try something else. Eating from father and 2 girls at 22 and 25.

The hotel is an amazing space. All of the food and drinks at the restaurants were great. We only had one disappointing experience we encountered. Over all it’s a very nice hotel but be prepared to spend money if you dine or drink at their restaurants or bars. The location is close to many affordable and more local feeling options if you want to venture out. Be prepared to find a kitchen in your room with no plates, silverware or cooking utensils. They will bring you plates and silverware if you call room service.

This hotel was in "The Hangover II"

Great hotel, location, room size, facilities and view. Only downside which I had read in other reviews is the wait time for the lift due to the amount of non residents going to the sky bar. However don’t let this put you off and although pricey I’d recommend you having a meal or at least a drink in the sky bar or sirocco restaurant

Incredible views

Iconic hotel views are amazing, had an upgrade to corner suite which is a great space but rooms quite dated, tvs tiny and bed quite hard. Staff were all wonderful, check in very efficient and breakfast was excellent. Pool is nice but wall all around so can’t enjoy a view from it unlike other hotels.

I have very high expectations but these were far surpassed by the first greeting up until the day of our departure. What a wonderful mix of grandeur and modern day amenities. Every morsal of food was amazing. Breakfast was the best I have ever seen. The selection was fit for a king Staff were always smiling attentive and helpful. Brilliant smoothies and cocktails. To our surprise 5th floor lounge had had courtesy and drinks until 6.00 pm. Our minds expanded with all the variety within the hotel and the cultural experience outside. The highlights being the river cruise. Shopping in the Iconsiam etc etc. More time was the only thing lacking.

As seasoned travellers, we have never had a better experience than we just did at the Lebua. The check in experience was second to none. We were provided with an early check in while enjoying a drink and a cool cloth. We were escorted to our room and personally shown all the amenities in our club room. Every staff member we interacted with during our 4 day stay was outstanding!! The breakfast buffet had the best selection we have ever seen and everything sampled was delicious. The food in the club lounge during light bites and tea time were fabulous as well. The room was extremely clean and we enjoyed the turn down service each evening. The location of the hotel is awesome - a ten minute walk to the ferry/BTS station. We will definitely be staying here again when we make it back to Thailand.

A very nice hotel , lovely staff, excellent rooftop bars but with criminally high prices for what were very ordinary cocktails . We could not spend an evening in the bars, without an unlimited budget. The breakfast was an amazing buffet , but the food in the M cafe was good but expensive, and drinks with the meal at an eye watering mark up even for the local beers.

The hotel was amazing, the staff were incredible and very friendly. The rooms could use a modern style renovation. We had a great stay.

The location is nice. The sky bar is beautiful. We had two different date to check in this hotel since we went to Angkor wat for two days and then came back to this hotel. The service people are not well trained. For example, my husband asked coffee bar service person to make him a cappuccino and the answer was “ you can go to machine to make it. They are all the same” and also some other things that made us feel like not being a five star hotel level. Overall it’s an okay hotel not excellent

I got an upgrade to a beautiful big suite with marvelous views of the city. The building has a rooftop bar with the most impressive views of Bangkok

Good very comfortable room with great views over the river. Club lounge was nice, with decent snack foods and good choice of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, but only open until 6pm. Excellent breakfast, but other restaurants very expensive and the bars are extremely expensive with very loud music, so no place to relax peacefully with a drink. The Sky and Flute bars are an experience on the 64th floor with amazing views, but you really pay for the privilege. No 3 Bar is a waste of space, we sat there for over 15 minutes, but never got served. Reception said they would investigate but heard nothing more?? Told the next morning that a credit card had been declined for our deposit- checked my app, couldn’t see a problem. Spoke to receptionist who said everything was fine???

My wife and i are so happy with our stay in our room. Everything we expected was good. The money we spent was worth it. The only thing we weren’t happy with was our dinner at the Sirocco. The server Jake was very accommodating & gave us extra bread and even complimentary dessert. However the beer was way overpriced, $18 cad (450 thai bhat) for beer is insane! Same goes for the whole menu, way too expensive! For the price of beer i paid for, imagine how much my main course was?

Let’s start with the pictures, all deceiving! This is a very dated property. It might have been luxury once upon a time but now it needs serious renovation. Lifts are slow and hard to get into as on top of this, lebua is a tourist trap for the fans of Hangover movies so you might have to stand in the queue for even 20 minutes at a time to wait for the tourists of other hotels to go to the 64th floor and you sit there, paying 7-8k BHT to go to your (again) dated room. Our shower cabinet had hair on the walls, I don’t have hair, and my blond wife certainly didn’t carry red curly hair with her to stick on the bathroom. Now that I mentioned my wife, i booked lebua 3 months before checking in with a request for a double bed as we are travelling for our honeyomoon, of course a 500 rooms hotel could not accommodate this request and gave us a twin room with a card and some cake to apologize. The girl at the reception could not believe we were doing early check out to move to another hotel without asking for refund. The area is very very dirty and noisy and full of traffic. Maybe choose a hotel in Siam connected to CentralWorld… more convenient, clean, and most of them are from this decade or at least renovated.

The room we had looked weathered and it would have been nice to have had a couple of chairs on the balcony. The drinks at the Sky Bar are ridiculously expensive! That said, the staff was wonderful and the brunch amazing.

I love the staff here, and the rooms are big and spacious. The overall hotel is a bit run down however. Needs paint, furniture upgrades in most of the bars and restaurants, the elevators are always down and it’s frustrating to wait for the only working one in a 64 floor tower. Expedia VIP/Gold status means zero here. They do not recognize those “perks” or give them. Again the staff is amazing. But the ownership seems to be letting this once grand hotel sink Since the Hangover movie success the hotel also seems to be over run with a lower standard of guest. Expect a lot of back packers, tattooed gym rats, tanks tops and flip flops. Like they’re at the beach. Loud, raucous and impolite. Not the same as it once was in its glory days. I would still Recommend it however, as the service is still fantastic, the food and views are amazing. Their Hospitality (and that’s what it’s all about) is first class.

Rooms needed a refresh. The 'minibar' was just sodas. The 'world famous brunch' was sad. The entrance was confusing and not pedestrian friendly.

Great Hotel Breakfast

I really like staying at the Lebua. The hotel breakfast is amazing. It is one of my favorite hotel breakfasts with tons of American, European, Indian, and Asian breakfast options. The rooms are nice and the hotel is by the river and located next to a great area for Thai street food. I have stayed here several times and always have an excellent stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel with a beautiful balcony offering stunning views of Bangkok city. The highlight of our stay was watching fireworks from the balcony, which made the experience truly special. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The room service was efficient and the food was delicious, though a bit on the pricey side. The hotel also offers multiple restaurant and bar options, which were both great and very convenient, especially if you prefer staying in. However, the prices for dining within the hotel were quite expensive compared to outside options. Overall, this hotel is a fantastic choice for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Bangkok. The service, amenities, and unforgettable views made it a memorable experience!

Easily one of the best hotels I have stayed at. Their Sky Bar & restaurants were amazing. They even allowed us late check out but then gave us a complimentary room for an hour in the evening to freshen up before we left for the airport. This was a game changer & have never had this before. Was a blessing with small kids. I couldn't fault them anywhere. Will definitely be returning back to Lebua when we are in Bangkok next time.

True 5-star service, care and luxury.

Absolute 5-star service all the way. From the moment of arrival to the second we left, there was always an attentive, caring staff member looking after our needs, even anticipating what we want. From the relaxed check-in process to the service during every interaction with a staff member, whether holding the lift doors open for us, wishing a lovely day, asking genuine questions about how long we were staying etc, etc And the suites were superbly appointed with thoughtful and generous amenities, more space and comfort than we needed. True luxury at every level. And to have your own private balcony, with breathtaking views over the city at sunrise, sunset and night was fabulous.

Overall it is an amazing room and hotel, but I did expect the elevators to be faster…it is an extremely long wait whether you stay on the lower floors or the State Tower more expensive rooms. Please also include clear events and times on a sheet in the room, a lot of us don’t know to check the website. Especially older people like my parents.

this hotel has a fantastic view especially for sunset and night city view. also staff was very friendly and nice. However, as a Expedia platinum member, this hotel's vip perk wasnt that helpful. when other VIP hotel offered a bottle of wine for free beverage, they just offered can of beers. it would be better if they offer room service with lounge access. they offered room service only with different view and actually when I was booking, there is no much cost difference between two.I believe it is hard to say room upgrade.

The breakfast was fab. Lots of options including my favorite South Indian, Dosa, Idli, Uthappa, etc. The chefs Avinash and Bijendra were freindly and masala chai was a treat from Birendra.

Our stay at Lebua has been great, the staff is excellent and the service is the best. Will come back!

Perfect New Year’s Eve

Really nice hotel, huge room with a balcony overlooking the water. Perfect room for New Year’s Eve. We watched the fire works. Magical! Great breakfast, nice roof top over looking the city. Negative- pool pretty cold and does not get much sun.

Stay far away!!! Overrated and incompetent

There is so much staff it would be very impressive if they were on the same page and helpful but it’s quite the opposite. Rooms are old and dated. Their security measures are insulting and excessive. My Girlfriend is Thai and was treated extremely poorly as if she was a “Freelancer” even though her passport was given with mine at check in…she’s was forced to show it every time we returned from being out. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable. This isn’t our first stay here and unfortunately had the same experiences last time. Nothing has changed. I booked the largest 2 room suit for the upcoming week as well but cancelled due to all the constant and consistent problems and disappointments. I think the main reason of booking here is for the views and balconies and movie exposure but the balconies have to Air Con units on them each side and have no chairs and are load and old and look very unattractive. I’ve been a Chef for 30 years and in my opinion the restaurants are overrated and extremely over priced. So in conclusion of this review which I also never mango contribute, my advice is to stay very far away from this Hotel. There are so many more better establishments in Bangkok and even in the river area that don’t even compare to the overrated incompetence we experienced 2 years in a row. Lastly…they are made aware of these issues and do absolutely nothing to make things or your experience better. They for sure will leave a apology comment after mine but trust, that’s it!

This is hotel had the worst welcome. I was tired and hungry after 3 hr drive from pattaya. They offered a small amount of juice on arrival . I kept telling the front desk , concierge, I wanted a place to eat nobody offered any information on places to eat . I found out later there was 5 restaurants in the hotel itself I got stuck in a taxi for over 45 min during traffic hour just to get to Iconsim mall. Food at mall was ok. The hotel itself is very old and runned down . The floors were dirty , carpet dirty , wood floor squeaky , wood floors with black marks and black stains. The manager asked if I would return to keep her card . I would not recommend staying here. I have traveled the world this place is overpriced for the one bar on the 64th floor that was featured on the hangover . We received two free drink tickets for the bar for the inconvenience the first day. I ordered the hangover drink. It was not that great at all and the drinks were overpriced at the rooftop . Not even good for free. I booked my hotel for two nights . I wish I booked only one night . I would have left right away . The next two nights I booked my hotel at the standard Bangkok. It is the most amazing hotel for half the price I paid at lebua!! Do not stay at lebua. Big let down. Gross. Dirty .

Property is still nice but a lot of things need to be renovated and modernized. Pretty disappointed with hotel itself. I noticed that the property wasn’t full booked but staff declined to provide an upgrade. Asked if I can get at least access to the lounge but turned down by management. They did say they do recognize my platinum status but didn’t bother to make me feel recognized. I will skip this property next time and will try other VIP property and hopefully feel valued. Housekeeping, Maintenance, front desk were all awesome and respectful. Management or supervisor seems to care less.

The suite we stayed in was really spacious and very clean, cleaning staff were very good and always stocked us up with water. Check-in was very swift, airport transfer upon arrival was very good although the return transfer was terrible, driver kept putting his foot on the accelerator and taking it off causing a sickly ride. We ate @ the Mezu restaurant on the 1st night and had to send our main courses back twice. Rice was cold - Twice and the 2nd time it came back our food which accompanied it was just left on the side near the till on the bar after sending it back on the 1st occasion. Really really poor and not what we expected, we paid for our starters and drinks and left to find a local restaurant near by. Sad really as the breakfast in the same restaurant every morning was really good and had a great selection. Omelettes were very nice. Would we stay again? Yes but wouldn’t book the restaurants tbh. Scirocco restaurant also was very overpriced but great views.

I love staying here, it's has everything. Great location as well, near Icon Siam. Great restaurants and the famous Sky Bar. I would recommend the Tower Club with the River View. Rajan and his team is Amazing, can't say enough to go above & beyond to make you comfortable. They're all like my family, can't wait to visit again soon.

Quick 1-night stay at the end of our trip. We were upgraded to a 2-bedroom suite on 53F and it was incredibly large with 3 balconies - the best views of Bangkok we've ever seen - overlooking the city side and the Chao Phraya river for a stunning sunset. Wish we had more time to enjoy the room, but it was the perfect way to end the trip. Great views, excellent buffet breakfast with vegan options clearly marked, good gym, excellent showers with extra-plush robes - shame we didn't have time to use the pool.
