I wasn't very happy, no one to great you, I had prebooked and paid, my last stop over, the room I stayed in, Shower door was broken couldn't even close it, again no one to great you. no customer service, would not stay here again.

Very old dated rooms awful outside area

The room was clean enough the horse stables next door stunk

Place is dirty and filled with lots of junkies living there’s full Tim had a possum in our room fair to say didn’t stay there

Only one towel provided for multiple guests. Had to clean and wipe spa before use. Emptied spa and drainage connected to shower in bathroom and drainage not equipped to handle water draining which resulted in bathroom flooding. Unable to communicate with reception/owners due to English not being their first language.

Staff at reception friendly but hotel is very run down, grounds not well maintained. Room was large but very outdated. Many other hotels in much better condition for a similar price. Would not stay here again.

This was the worst bed I have ever paid to sleep in. Lumpy pillows & old mattress. Entire place needs a makeover.

Having a Guest kitchen and laundry was an excellent facility..

This older style property was clean, well equipped, very comfortable and reasonably priced. The Management was prompt and very helpful when a Signal couldn’t be found on the TV. They were very attentive and changed my room when they couldn’t fix the issue. I would definitely stay here again.

Up at the back of the complex, door chain had half of it missing, aircon remote wouldnt adjust, bedside table drawer broken, no couch , , large wooden table with 3 wooden chairs, basic decor, no milk supplied for tea or coffee, 3 ladies travelling, $152. night, not happy and will not visit again.

It is very close to town centre

I really liked the contactless checking. The room was large but the heater didn’t work and we were cold. Also the bathroom needs an exhaust fan because everything was wet from steam and stayed that way for a very long time. I assume there’s horses nearby or some kind of animals because in the morning when we were packing the car it smelt like poo outside.

The aircon for heating is far less than enough for cold winter nights and there are not enough blankets. We were so freezing cold .

One night

Clean and comfortable place to stay. I was running late and I appreciated the phone call to find out what time I would arrive. Situated on the edge of Swan Hill I was straight onto the highway the next morning. It was a good location for me.

The size of the room was fine and it was quite clean, however I found earwigs in my bed on 2 of the 3 nights I was there. Also there was a large group of people in multiple rooms on either side of us which kept us awake until 1.30am and we were unable to complain to reception as they were closed during the night. Although the noise is not the property owners fault, I think it is their responsibility to deal with this sort of issue.

Quiet area easy to get into town. Room was clean basic needs in the room e.g. microwave, kettle and fridge.

The shared kitchen is disgusting. Theyd be better off not even advertising they have this... it was gross. The toilet cistern must have a small leak as it kept filling all night n every time it did id wake up. The other customers were good at least. No shenanigans.

The room is spacious for the price. And it’s close to the city centre.

Overnight stay

Ok for an overnight stay. The notice on the bathroom mirror states there will be a laundry fee charged to your credit card if you get make up on the towels. I was a bit scared to use the towels 😬.

Budget accomodation

Good price for basic work accomodation. Not far from heart of Swan Hill. Always appreciate a microwave in a motel room.

Cheap stay for work!

Stayed a couple of times before, pretty consistent. Staff are helpful and accommodating with late check in requests. Basic stay, was one of the cheapest in the area. Could use a little revamp but good enough for an in and out business trip.

Good budget accommodation

For the price, I got what I paid for. Good budget accomodation for a quick stay. Could use a bit of an update in terms of style and things like - glass doors in shower wouldn’t close, bleach stains on carpet (still clean), faded framed prints on the walls.

bad choice. charges for tissues!

shocked that they charged us $10 for taking the tissue and toilet paper with us as we were travelling. first motel that we encountered that they charge for complimentary things like that. owner mentioned that they have a big sign in the room but i never noticed it. definitely not a good choice. never again!

The staff at this hotel where lovely. The hotel and room however, are in a state of disrepair. For a very basic stay, we were comfortable enough. But if you want something special, this is not the place. Also quite a distance from everything and on the edge of town.

The motel wasn’t much to look at, and I was dubious when I pulled in, but the room we rented (Room 23) was in a very good, clean condition. Never judge a book by the cover. The hws wasn’t the best but we managed. We would use this motel again.

Not overly happy

Mould in bathroom, lampsx4 didn't work, hot water took forever to heat up, heater barely worked after I particularly requested one (we have a baby) microwave popped the powerboard... and failed to notify us that the power was being turned off in the morning... so had a screaming baby i couldn't heat up a bottle for and hungry older kids i couldn't get breakfast for... they did help me to organize breakfast for the kids and i but i dont think I'll be staying there again

This motel is in a perfect location near the heart of the city of Swan Hill. It is clean, quiet and comfortable and the staff are friendly. I enjoyed my one night stay - the motel was booked out that night but I managed to get the last room through Wotif.com. I will definitely book at Lazy River Motel again when I am in Swan Hill in 2019.

Happy with cleanliness of room but I was extremely disappointed to realise a few days after our stay that they had debit $12.00 from my credit card without authorisation and I was never advised of any additional charges at the time of booking. I did not consume anything from the fridge besides 4 mini longlife milk for our coffee in the morning. I was going to contact the motel to ask for an explanation to their charge but I decided to let it go as I did not want this encounter to ruin my Christmas at the time. It was not the monetary value, it is the principle! You do not conduct business in this manner.

An easy to find older motel that has all the facilities for a comfortable overnight stay

Older motel but very clean and comfortable

Small yet cozy

It suited my needs which was just a place to stop and sleep for a night and then hit the road again, the bed was comfortable and the WiFi was an added bonus. I was traveling alone so it was plenty room, warm and cozy as well.

Unit was very tired. House keeping didn't make the bed at all over a five night stay.

Excellent Motel if on a Budget

This motel was the surprise packet of the trip. Nothing flashy from outside but the room was spacious, clean, lovely bed and bathroom linen and quiet. Decided to stay 2nights!

Value for money

Was in Swan Hill for work and required overnight accommodation. Found the room and bed comfortable clean and practical.

Dated 70s motel

Good price point, you pay for what you get. Good size room, need updating. Airconditioning is noisy wont be able to use overnight with sleep.

Not sure how the heating will b in July. The split system made a lot of noise but little else. Thankfully I had my hot water bottle with me

I arrived at 9.30 to book in having driven from Melbourne to attend a funeral No rooms were available at present so I walked back to my car with a map of the city area looking for a toilet block to change in As I was starting my car the manager came put and asked me if I could come back in half an hour a room would be ready for me as it was I was very grateful for the service given

Comfortable beds/room. Noisy heater. Towels were hard and property had large pot holes. Staff were lovely and helpful.

Was running a bit late and they called to ask when I was arriving. Left room open for us. Could use extra power points but that's nitpicking. It was perfectly fine.

Convenient and inexpensive hotel

An inexpensive hotel in a convenient location. We didn't expect a lot as we did choose a low price. It was appropriate for the price and the receptionist was helpful regarding recommended activities and places for meals.

Entrance a little confusing with Big 4 right next door. Good that units are on ground floor. Surprised the beds weren't made for the second night.

I enjoyed my stay at the Lazy River Motel. I have spent a lot of time in hotel rooms and this one was very pleasant and the best thing is that there was not a strong smell of chemical or airfreshner in the room. I usually find this a problem and the strength of the fragrance overwhelming. The room was clean and tidy well set out the bed and linen was comfortable. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend this motel to friends or to stay there again myself.

We were disappointed in the grounds

It was disappointing when we arrived to find we were right on the outskirts of the town, and when we approached the motel we looked at each other saying well were only here for two nights. In saying that inside the room it was quite nice and clean. Had a little trouble with the wifi but that bother my son not myself. Didn't bother even going for a swim the pool was a above ground pool with a school fence around it, very disappointed.

No complications, room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Outside appearance left a lot to be desired.

Simple, clean, friendly, cheap.

A very simple, uncomplicated motel run by a nice person. The room was spotlessly clean, and had all the usual amenities (all of which worked). It is about one kilometre west of Swan Hill which kept the noise down. I never heard a truck once.

IT was all OK

We stayed in a family room for a night in order to break a longer trip. For the one night that we spent there all was OK. The staff took initiative to arrange everything although our arrival was very late. Great!
