We had a wonderful stay at lazy oaks. What a gorgeous property! Very spacious and well kept, right on the lake. There is a community area with grills, fire pit, horseshoes and picnic benches. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We stayed in blue spruce, which has a fireplace and a fenced backyard /dog run. Our cabin was stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
The cabin we were in felt like it was the overflow cabin. The interior was old and the whole cabin smelled musty. The floors were sagging the heating units were filthy. Everything was just old. The ceiling fan made a horrible noise. There was no heat in the bedroom and the water heater was in the gross bathroom.
it was mostly quite. beautiful and close to the outside world if need it.
Lovely for short getaway
We enjoyed our quiet three-night stay in April. White Fir has a small view of the lake, particularly pretty at night with the reflection of lights from homes across the lake. Location is good - removed from highway, yet close to restaurants and hikes.
I'll be back
The cabin was charming and the location and grounds were beautiful.
Weekend trip
The cabin was quiet since it was away from any busy streets. We enjoyed walks in the morning and fires in the fireplace at night. It had a nice kitchen and had the biggest bathroom of the 3 cabins we have stayed at. Would go back next time we are in the white mountains.
Pond, pet friendly, basic
Thankfully, pet friendly. Very basic accommodation. Soft bed made more noise than I have experienced which caused sleepless two nights. Heater worked great. Kitchen basic but one great pan the was new and worked great. We could not figure out the tv/cable. The little yard for the dog was perfect. Meet great neighbors and shared dinner... that was worth the whole stay.
It was very relaxing. The cabin size is just right. It was amazing cool without AC even though the highest temp was near 90 degree
Very private setting Quiet, Bathrooms need a overhaul
Weekend getaway to cooler weather
Great location on Rainbow Lake not far from hiking and places to get supplies or eat out. We stayed in White Fur cabin was perfect for a couple. Cabin had pans and tools for cooking if you choose to use. We were here in summer but there was a fireplace for winter use. Only complaint was bathroom needed more attention before using. But walking to dock and seeing all the stars made up for it.
Location right on the lake is beautiful. However, the cabin was not very nice.
Very good stay.
The location is pretty good, close to some restaurants and breakfast places. 50 minutes from the Sunrise ski slopes. The cabin was awesome. Very clean and the kitchen had utensils. The WiFi worked well even for movie streaming. The only small issue was that the heater was a bit loud, making random snapping sounds, which could bother some light sleepers, not my case. Their TV is a bit old and small too.
Great cabins along a little lake.
Always love visiting Lazy Oaks. Great price for a cute cabin to relax in at the end of the day. Loaded kitchen, great if you like to cook your own meals.
Clean, friendly staff, nice location, and pet friendly. Would recommend.
Comfortable Cabin
Great location with nice lake views. Got some great wildlife pics.

The property is ideally located on a medium-sized lake with waterfowl (Blue Herons, Cormorants, Eagles, Falcons). Water was low (4 feet below "normal", which affected the overall view a bit, but low level has been normal for the area for several years. Cabins are very attractive, uniformly well-maintained with well-kept picnic / play area and several stone stone-enclosed firepits with good seating (plastic chairs). The overall campground has many trees that provide good shade. I had access to three cabins for our extended family gathering for 3 nights and all were very clean, nicely maintained and with good amenities. Our cabin had a new king-sized bed with firm mattress and good pillows, a pleasant surprise for cabin lodging. Office is staffed during the daytime hours and staff is available off-hours, as needed. The whole family enjoyed the location.
