The resort needs updating. The pathways are unsafe in parts for older and unsteady people. The staircase was not washed in the four weeks we stayed. However the wifi was excellent, there was always hot and cold water, and the air conditioning was good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is excellent. Would we go back? No. The owner could update the buildings and pay cleaners to wash down stairs and corridors.

It’s a classic old resort on Koh Chang. It suffered during covid times but is rebounding well, albeit deliberately. Love the place!

The reception staff only said what your name they was so rude not helpful. The grounds were unkept rundown the paths were terrible paint peel off room was run down bathroom very dirty i have photos to prove all my words they said there was car parking but they mean on the main road . Worst hotel ever

I love Thai people but the front Hotel staff are terrible! They only cared about making more money with an upgrade that they forgot to tell us about the daily breakfast that was included! They also did not explain the upcharge. I speak basic Thai. Then when we asked about Breakfast they said they gave us coupons already (which they lied and did not) and then blamed us and did not give us anything complimentary despite us missing breakfast for a few nights.we explained to the owner but they lied to him! I don’t like being blamed for someone’s incompetence. They hotel is dated and not worth the $80 but it is directly on the beach which is its only redeeming feature. The beach is the only bonus! We will not be returning. I’ve stayed many times and the staff is always quietly efficient and pleasant. The beach is perfect and the location on Koh Chang is a good as it gets

Miserable staff . No info

On arrival we were given no information on where anything was. Meal times . The rooms were so dated, they need a good overall. There were only 2 plugs in the room . The bed was difficult for 2 elderly people to get on and off. As there was built in side's Staff were misrable. Only smile we saw was on the breakfadt table cleanersThe food mediocre. Pool only has 3 poolside beds then pethaps 6 under cover. The sunbeds on the beach wete all taken with towels the night before. Not once did we see a sunbed without a towel on it. I would not recommend this hotel

A happy place

The room comfortable but small the brakefest was just ok staff very nice and helpfull overall i would give this stay 7.5 out of 10 i enjoyed my stay .

if dont like crowd so go to Koh Chang

Direct beach access, many bungalows but never felt crowded (quiet) Transport not convenient. places & beach is not crowd Seafood is very good (reasonable price)

Stay on Koh Chang

Trip overall was OK, weather a little disappointing, windy & raining most of the time. Island facilities all very good. Road conditions leave a lot to be desired.

3-night stay

As with most hotels in KoChang, the resort was run down and a bit over priced. I didn't go to the island to stay indoors so all turned out good.

The beach was besutiful and clean. The synsets were great. Food was good. Friendly staff.

I liked the location and the staff were helpful and attentive. Food was very good. Wifi in the room was terrible. This needs to be upgraded or I would not stay in the hotel again. Expedia's advertisement states that the Hotel had flat screen TV's which is incorrect. Danny

Jacuzzi room large with all amenities however room desperately needs refurbishment. Very large hotel complex that appeared to have about 4 guests. Transport necessary as very little re food and drinks nearby. Staff pleasant and helpful. Photos must be dated as is no longer 4 star but acceptable overall for the price.

First trip to Koh Chang

Beach was very nice, breakfast was very good, room was upgraded, staff was helpfull, for the money this was a good deal

Excellent place

Been coming to Koh Chang for over 20 yrs and never stayed at Chai Chet - my mistake - this resort is a great spot right on beach and ticks all the boxes for us. As we've got older our levels of comfort and general requirements of accomodation have gone up, but our budget hasn't as much - koh chang resort and spa covers this 10 times over - easy check in - room better than expected - 15 steps to amazing beach - pool 15 steps in other direction - very decent buffet breakfast - cheap beers in room mini bar - room cleaned daily - sun loungers and towels available on beach - I could rattle on but suffice to say - this is the best place I've stayed on the island and for the right price - well done we will be back and we will bring / send others

It's so close to beach, very good food arrangements, so nice clean beach. Breakfast also good. Swimming pool is a bit small but it's acceptable. Nice garden and very friendly hotel staff.

Not recommended

Not a great place to stay. There is a lot of work needed to put this place up to standard. If you are lucky enough to get an upgraded room, you might be happier!

Hotel to take a break

I stayed at this hotel around for 3 days. I went to Bangkok and also I wanted a really closer experience with elephants, and for that reason I thought in Ko Chang (its mean Elephant Island). I arrived to the Hotel and they didn't have wi-fi, I should cross the street to go to the other hotel. Just that problem I had in there, the breakfast for me was good, the hotel is not near to the beach is in the beach, I rented a scooter to go to another areas of the Island, the people is friendly and help me with the elephant tour that I dreamed. They have also a spa treatments, but I think you don't need it, just walk and take a look to the beach. Maybe is not so close to bar, but you should go there to relaxing time, with friends, family or couple.

Hotel is by the beach.

There was no WiFi in my room. I asked if I can change the room. I was taken outside the room where I could get WiFi. And I was told to stay there, when I need internet.

Ett boende som nog var väldigt fint för MÅNGA år sedan. Mycket länge sedan bilderna är tagna. Frukosten var så där! Bra läge, mysig strand. Tar ej kreditkort.

Funkar men lite eftersatt

Väldigt enkelt hotel som behöver underhållas och skulle kunna vara så mycket finare med enkla medel. Receptions managern han var trevlig men tjejerna var så trötta, särkilt damen med läppstift lovade byte av rum men glömde bort det. De kollade hellre sina mobiler….. beachbarens personal - super ! Dåligt wifi på rummen oavsett vart man bor.

Rätt sliter hotell med en toppen strand. Bra utbud med resturanger runt viken

Das hotrl war für die unterkunft überpreist.. Für das geld hätte man viel mehr erwartet.. in den 80er gebaut und nie renoviert ..

Beach bungalow

Bra läge men hårda sängar och i behov av renovering . Vi bodde i bungalow vid stranden och det var mycket bra läge och lugnt på kvällen

Det var dåligt Wi-Fi bara i receptionen och restaurangen, ej på rummet. Saknade en stol i rummet. Bra solsängar fin strand.

Bodde i en bungalow Beach Front, hårda sängar men vi sa till så fick vi extra madrass så det var ok. Poolen var inte ren. Dålig frukost och restaurang var väl inte så bra men det finns fanns andra runtomkring.

Værelse med for lidt plads til bagage, ingen plads til tøj i skabet til 2 personer

Dieses Hotel empfehlen wir nicht. Die Hütten sind in die Jahre gekommen,außer einigen neuen Hütten,die wir leider nicht hatten .Man gelangt ins Haus über einer Art Hühnerleiter.Im Frühstücksbereich ist das Personal sehr unfreundlich,kein einziges Lächeln. Einzig das Personal,welches die Unterkunft reinigt ist sehr gewissenhaft. Hans und Silvia

Clean & great service!

Loved the location and the staff. You get what you need here and the room is always tied up and clean. Beach towels, water bottles everyday. You have everything you need here if you're looking for some quietness, clean area and great price! Can't wait to come back :)

Run down and poorly managed

The hotel is very run down, with rooms not cleaned properly. Door between rooms don’t lock so neighbour can come in at any time. Not safe. Poorest breakfast in all SE Asia. Only positive is the beach although hard to get a spot as people leave their towels to book the spot and never show up. Bad hotel management.

Superbra hotell med mysiga bungalows. Hotell personal var mycket trevliga och serviceinriktade. Bra frukostbuffé och fin och fräsch strand. 10/10!

Mycket lugnt och skönt ställe vi bokade två nätter men det slutade med fem så vi var mycket nöjda. Rent och bra städat gott om solplatser och fria beach handdukar.

Mycket bra för sitt pris och läge

Mycket bra hotell för priset. Vi bokade till att börja med två nätter men när vi såg läget och det trevliga rum vi hade så förlängde vi direkt vår resa fyra nätter till och kanske blir det ännu längre. Havsnära med väldigt fin strand och gott om solsängar.

ติดหาด ลงทะเลได้ แต่โรงแรมเก่า ห้องสกปรกเหมือนทำความสะอาดลวกๆ มีดีที่พนักงานบริการดีมากๆ อาหารเช้าไม่หลากหลายไม่คุ้มค่า บรรยากาศโรงแรมเหมือนเจ้าของคิดจะใส่อะไรเข้าไปก็ใส่เข้าไปเลย ลวกๆ เหมือนไม่ได้วางแผนไว้

Все ничего, но хочется чуть лучше

Отдыхаю в этом отеле уже 3 или 4 раз, но, к сожалению, с каждым годом сервис все проще, а здание все хуже. Многое требует ремонта и надзора. Хотелось бы, чтобы персонал уделял время территории, чище проводил уборку в номерах; также, хотелось бы большего разнообразия пищи на завтраке! В целом отель на тухлую троечку))), но, почти стоит своих денег за проживание!

Ikke pengene værd

Slidt hotel med meget tillukket personale. Morgenmaden var trist og ikke pengene værd. Værelset lå i forreste Bygning ud til en trafikeret vej med støj- meget tynde døre gør støj generende. Personalet på restauranten taler meget dårligt engelsk og aner ikke hvad “starters”er og serverer måden i random rækkeføge. Afløbene på badeværelset lugtede

La chambre sale, vétuste, a rénover. La douche qui te brûle toutes les 30 secondes. Le personnel pas très aimable. Le prix abusé pour la qualité médiocre. Seul point positif le petit petit-déjeuner avec vue sur la mer.

Отличный отдых на Ко Чанге.

Отель понравился. Хорошее месторасположение,отличный пляж,хорошие завтраки.Уборку делали каждый день.Мы проживали в бунгало. Были небольшие недостатки, но мы не обращали на их внимание.Это же 3* и всё полностью оправдано! На следующий год тоже планируем на Ко Чанг и этот отель будем рассматривать в первую очередь.
