Wrong dates

Totally my fault,I booked the wrong dates. The front of desk staff were superb. They sorted our two day stay with a smile and service. Thank you so much,we can't praise them enough.

Location is perfect for a walk any time of the day. Staff are excellent- friendly yet efficient. Nice continental breakfast and a nice lounge area to sit in. We had rooms at the back which were quiet.

This was just the property I was hoping for when booking a trip with my daughter to the historic beaches of Normandy. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. Service was also basic but prompt and polite. And food was available in the hotel both morning and evening. We had a great vacation and I'd happily recommend the Ibis Port en Bessin

Pleasant Stay

Staff was very nice. Good location.

From Lobby to room, everything was fresh and in great shape. We had a port side room with a balcony, overlooking the fishing boats, was great to sit out and watch them work. The buffet breakfast in the morning was great, convenient and reasonably priced. We were a short walk from the restaurants in town (10 min), and the pier. A short drive from Bayeaux (20 min) for our Normandy tour

The location is safe and quaint. It’s staff and very polite and helpful. It’s very clean and the breakfast options are very good. The room is large and everything you need. They need to advertise their air conditioning is season dependent as when I went it was hot and the room air con was turned off and I was told it wouldn’t work until 1 June. Therefore I had to sleep with the window open which meant a lot of noise from different things. I perhaps would not have chosen the hotel had I known the air con was not going to work as i didn’t sleep well because the room was to hot.

Decent enough Hotel in a good location. Good for the D Day Beaches and ample dining options available. Nice setting on the Harbour. Thought rooms could do with a lick of paint. Staff great 👍

After we checked in the gentleman was nice enough to recommend two restaurants within walking distance and we enjoyed dinner at one of them.

Four-day stay was excellent. Staff was especially helpful with recommendations for dinner in restaurants in the town. Location exceptionally convenient and easy to navigate. This is my "go to" hotel in Normandy, hands down.

Very accessible to the lovely port and also to the DDay beaches, cemeteries, Bayeux, etc. Staff was very pleasant , especially Morgane and Geoffrey. It was a great stop for the trip. Hope to come back again!

Due to travel arrangements being changed outside of our control I sent an email request to the hotel over 2 weeks before our trip asking to adjust the stay by one night. They did not respond until the night we were to check in -- of course by that time I had made other arrangements. So when they responded late that day I told them we had already made other arrangements and asked if we could shift it to a night a week later -- they responded rather rudely and told me to contact expeida for a refund and they had already tried to accommodate me. I realize they had tried to accommodate but I'mm not about to get on a flight to another country without concrete plans for the first night. Expedia refused to refund the money although the hotel said to contact them for a refund.

Great location to kick off your day around the D-Day beach's. Humble hotel but the staff is super friendly and very convenient location.

Disappointed there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Towels seemed poor quality and no very big.

Fabulous breakfast. Definitely pay the extra for it. Great service. Decent room for the price. Quiet. Safe area and free parking.

D-Day stay

Beds need updating, even turning over as mattress and topper really sagging! The service and friendliness of staff excellent and Rehanne (From OZ and if spelt correct) was just the perfect customer liaison… our thanks for everything she did for us on our stay

Perfection

Second stay there. The staff is the best. The room was spotless & the breakfast had a lot of choices. The location is perfect-right on the port with fishing boats 50 feet away. Many restaurants were across the port. This is a real vacation town.

We've stayed here before so that's why we came back. This is a nice hotel from every perspective. Well located, clean, nice breakfast and a friendly staff.

D Day tours

Have stayed here over the last five years and always found the staff very friendly and had enjoyable stays perfect for exploring DDay coast

The port was very quaint and lovely to walk. This was close to the areas we wished to see, Omaha Beach and Bayeux. The staff was wonderful!!

Lovely quiet location.

Made very welcome although we got there late at 10pm. Nice surprise to discover port and boats just outside the hotel in the morning. Pleasant walks nearby after very good breakfast. We would suggest more indication about distance from Bayeux, and more road signage as we did a long detour to find it. Will return soon

Interesting port view and comfortable room. The car park at the back of the hotel was easy to find and free. Our room was comfortable and the balcony chairs useful. No tea or coffee facilities provided.

Clean, tidy and modern hotel in a lovely village. Staff are friendly and approachable Hotel very well placed to explore the D-Day beaches and the wider battle for Normandy, not to mention the Bayeux Tapestry and the beautiful cathedral close by. Although the evening menu in the hotel is very limited, there are a number of good quality restaurants within eat walking distance

The main woman at the desk was wonderful. Wish I had gotten her name. If she sees this I hope she responds. I would gladly send her a phone case like mine if she told me what phone she had.

Quaint fisherman’s town, hotel has nice location, ample on site parking. Port-facing rooms face working fishery port/depots and street.

There was a strange pod bathroom that was very noisy is someone is trying to sleep. When we asked for a recommendation on a place to eat, the lady at the front desk said that they are all good and she doesn’t eat there.

Reminded me of a cruise ship room. Clean. Short walk to restaurants and shops. Convenient to Bayeux and D-Day stuff.

Basic but clean and cozy

Ibis Bayeux Port En Bessin is located at a pictoresque harbour of Port En Bessin. That mens there are boats, fishermen and seagulls right outside the hotel. I found that charming. Hotel itself is basic, but clean and cozy enough. It’s easy to get to Omaha beach from there. There’s also a supermarket within walking distance from the hotel.

Although hotel was basic we had a very good stay thanks to the lovely staff and the location of the hotel.

Quaint harbor village

Great little harbor village. Easy and fun drive to all WW II sites hotel is very clean and friendly staff who speak English (which helps since my French is not so good) small and nice restaurants across the waterway offers many food/drink choices. A bientot

Pretty nice

Most of the town was shutdown since its winter. Rooms are pretty good. Bathrooms are kind of like pods on a cruise ship. Just different.

Nice hotel with a 5* location

The hotel was great, the price was really good but the best thing about it was the location, it was perfect for a long weekend doing all of the Normandy Beaches and WW2 invasion. Just on the other side of the port are some amazing fish restaurants and we can't wait to go back again.

It's small hotel with a very friendly and professional staff. The room has just enough space for two with a very small bathroom. The area was great and quiet with a number of restaurants within short walking distance. It was right across from the harbor so that was cool to see. Short drive to the D-Day beaches, memorial, and museums

I loved the location and was impressed by how quiet it is although directly adjacent to a working fishing port. The hotel had everything I need. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only criticism is the parking is hard to find, the spaces very narrow, and accessing the hotel from the parking is complicated at night.

Cute port town!

Stopped here to check in before our afternoon tour- check in time listed here was different than hotel said which they mentioned has been brought to there attention. They held our bags for us while we went our tour. When we came back parking our back on street level was taken so we had to wind up this road then come down a tiny switchback driveway to park in some very tight parking spaces- many people didn’t park in one spot appropriately so we were left wedging our way into a spot. Took elevator down to grab bags and find the room. Nice size rooms and clean- went to the lobby and had drinks which gathered a crowd to watch some World Cup games. The next morning we walked around the small port town which wish the shops had opened sooner so we could explore more. Cute quaint port town lots of charm and character. Easy to walk around.

Located right in port. We had a good dinner at restaurant and walked around port and watched sunset over water. The hotel was clean and nice. Short drive to Omaha beach and American cemetery.

The hotel is in a great quiet location. We were there in September, restaurants around the canal seemed to be closed early. As for the hotel the towels were thin and very few plugs

Great staff!! Lucy, Valentin, and a young lady that worked days with Lucy were super helpful and made me feel like a special guest. Valentin helped me book a last minute trip to Mont St. Michel which was one of the highlights of my trip. Convenient parking and a short walk from some awesome sea food..
