The staff at the receptionist was very nice. We didn't like: a. We saw bugs in the room b. There are only 2 elevators for plenty of rooms. Not enough.

This hotel was a good stop along the Camino because it is self contained. It has 2 restaurants which are quite good and lots of lounge area for the guests. Our room came with breakfast which we liked because it had a good variety of choices. It was quiet at night and we would definitely stop there again if in the area even if luxurious it is not!

Clean friendly staff , location a little isolated if your on the Camiño trail. Limited menu kind of spendy, but tasted good, a lot of bus tours stay there so gets a little crowded

We were on the Camino and the property is an additional 2.5kms from Padron and there are limited services around it. The staff were friendly and the cafeteria served good drinks and bar food. There is also a restaurant but we didn’t try it. The rooms were basic and the beds are very hard. The hotel was very busy so, when we went to breakfast at 7.30am it looked like a swarm of locusts had descended on it because there was very little left apart from 15 varieties of cake and the odd piece of bread. I gave up.

Enjoyed the hotel’s garden and pool area. Breakfast buffet was good. For Camino pilgrims, the hotel was outside of Padrón which added a bit more to the day’s walk. However, it’s on the next day’s route to Santiago so the extra kms the day before were a gain.

Good quality mid-range hotel . Food and beverage available in situ. Some kilometres from the centre - need to be self contained at the hotel as not many taxis available. Still recommended for short stays with good location as a base for exploring the area .

Good for the camino!

Average.

Basic room. Thin sheets, two pillows. Bathroom that kept making a noise throughout the night.

Clean. Good restaurants on property. The breakfast buffet was outstanding.

Staff were excellent and the buffet was good. Rooms were good. It was outside of town so walking into town would be a chore. But that is the reason we picked it as it is 2.5 km closer to Santiago.

Hotel and hotel restaurante good with friendly staff. The Cafe Bar part of the hotel had terrible service, we walked out. Room was clean and modern…except the door (uses real key). Comfy beds and nice dark room for sleeping.

Good stopping place if you're doing the Camino. Great continental breakfast included. The attached "bar/cafe" does good food at reasonable prices (no need to eat at the restaurant if you're on a budget).

Everything moderate , breakfast included is plus in that area , no nearby supermarket. Staff very friendly.

Wonderful stay and great value

We felt so welcome and comfortable in the Scala hotel in Padron. The check-in was fast the hotel room spacious, clean and quiet with a nice view. The drinks at the bar and dinner in the restaurant were excellent.

A lovely surprise at the end of a long day. Staff were always accommodating our requests even though it was not convenient for them. Our dining experience was absolutely perfect with special attention given to us. A totally lovely place all around.

The biggest problem we had was finding this hotel. We were walking the Camino, not using GPS, internet, or cell calls. Do not think that once you get to Padron you will find this hotel. You walk right out of town and keep on walking. We stopped and asked people and were told at least twice it was "four kilometers ahead." When we finally arrived it's sort of in the middle of nowhere. Not much to choose from for lunch and dinner (other than their restaurant). They do include breakfast. The front staff did not inform us there was a pool and one worker was particularly short and curt. The hotel is very big and there were busloads of people staying there. The room didn't have a double bed, only two already made up twin beds pushed together with very hard mattresses. If you are walking the Camino, this is a different experience from the small, intimate places you have already been.

Not good for Sleeping

Good location for Camino. Not much sleep for us though. Really bad acoustics in hotel. Music during the afternoon and staff moving furniture till very late at night. Wouldn't recommend.

Arrived after a long day of walking asked about food told to go down stairs …. Disappointed in the service felt like I was not welcomed. Remodeling going on room loud then kids running through hall late at night just over all not the best place to stay knowing the next day would be a long walk to Santiago.

Clean hotel in good location for Camino walkers

Nice clean rooms. Breakfast was and food in general poor. Service people were nice and hard working. Likely a management problem.

Hotel is 5 minute walking to the Cathedral of Santiago. Many small cafes and restaurants to eat. The room is simple but comfortable . It didn’t have a mini fridge .

Good Camino stop

Very convenient place to stay right on the Camino. Property is a bit dated, but clean.

Lovely hotel right on the Camino route from Padrón to Santiago. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Highly recommended.

Large and clean rooms

Older but comfortable

Nice hotel, but definitely busy for any type of stay. Maybe not so much for those on the Camino, but it sits right on the path. The cafeteria was fine, but old and felt like a Bingo Hall. Nothing wrong with that, just old fashioned. The room was a little outdated, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful. Overall, good stay

The hotel is a bit rundown and not terribly attractive. However, it is conveniently located on the Portuguese Camina de Compostela. Breakfast service was not much better than at a Holiday Inn Express but dinner was quite good.

We couldn’t find any albergue in a New year’s day. It’s enough to take a rest during Camino. Comfortable. Clean.

We stayed overnight during our Camino

The property is well maintained and very clean. After staying in 13 hotels within 2 weeks, and all 4 and 5 star hotels, I must say that this one (a 3star hotel) was the cleanest.

Nothing unique but nice. Old looking rooms, needs renovation

The restaurant was excellent and since we were leaving to walk the Camino at 5am we were supplied with a picnic breakfast. The pool area needed more shade and there was no ability to order a drink by the pool

Great staff. A little out of town but the restaurant is good and the peregrino lunch/dinner is great value.

Lovely Elegant Hotel

Beautiful charming hotel. Only the charm is old. The facility is very well kept and very lovely. Restaurants onsite. Its a 30 minute walk from the town of Padron and not much else around it. Staff are all very helpful which was especially helpful when you don't speak Spanish. Right on the Camino trail. Would definitely stay there again.

Group of kids ruin the night

Group of school kids were booked on the same night, screaming and noisy kids running up and down the entire night, breakfast was good, lady at reception not friendly at all

Surprisingly good

This hotel is a bit removed from Santiago BUT this is a great family hotel. Nothing fancy, no frills but a good place for a night or two.

Basic hotel, out of town , staff could be more proactive. Next to a disco, so be prepared for some late night noise.

Convent hotel, bar, restaurant and a large garden and outdoor pool. Perfect to relax after a long day walking.Friendly staff, big rooms.

Pass it by

If you're walking the Camino de Santiago, do not stay here. It is far better to stay in Padron, the town two miles further back. This is really a truck-stop/ bus stop kind of place. There are far better places.

OK for a one night Camino pilgrim stay.

Took a quad room with three other pilgrims walking the Camino Portugese. The room was adequate, though a bit crowded with four beds. Located a bit past Padron on the Camino so other than the hotel restaurant, not much in the way of food out here.

Does the job.

For those doing the Camino, this is a good stop-over for the last night if you want to save a little walking time the next day. The hotel is efficiently run and offers clean well-maintained rooms. The rooms facing onto the road get some traffic noise but this is cut out by the windows and shutters (the rooms have aircon/heating). There is a good cafe which Is also very popular with locals. Downstairs is a restaurant for dinner - the food is ok though a little expensive for what it is (but there were no other restaurants open at night when I was there. ) The only downside to staying here is if you want to spend some time in Padron at night as it is too far to get back into the town easily. Breakfast is quite basic. Better to buy something at the cafe or on the road a bit later.

Comfortable large room, good bed, ample food at breakfast, pleasant staff. Easy to find, outside of Padron.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer waren groß und sauber. Die Umgebung, Pool,Spielplatz und Park ist sehr schön.Jedoch das Buffet für 25€ kann ich nicht empfehlen. Schmeckt wie in einer schlechten Kantine,genau so sieht es dort auch aus.

Hotel cercano a una carretera bastante transitada, pero no tuvimos problemas con el ruido, tanto la cafetería como el restaurante bastante bien para comer o cenar. Mejorable el desayuno. La habitación para 4, enorme. El aire acondicionado extremadamente ruidoso y un detalle curioso es que la puerta del baño es de cristal así que hay poco margen para la intimidad. En la puerta de entrada hubo que poner una toalla enrollada para evitar que entrase la luz del pasillo.

Relación calidad precio inmejorable

Es el tercer verano que repitimos fin de semana en el hotel. Han actualizado los baños. El desayuno buffet muy variado, con tomate natural para el pan. La zona de piscina muy chulo, lo malo que suben olores y moscas del ganado que hay justo debajo.

Lo peor algunos ocupantes del hotel con 0 respecto a los que les da igual si son las 6 de la mañana o las 2 de la madrugada, que hacen caso omiso de los carteles que hay en los pasillos, y del sentido común, y van hablando a gritos como si estuvieran solos en el hotel.

Necesita una reforma mayor. Pero relación calidad precio no está mal. Para hacer noche si estás haciendo el camino está bien. Tiene piscina, varios sitios para comer de diferente calidad y precio y juegos ( billar, futbolín..)

Das Hotel liegt an einer sehr befahrenen Hauptstraße, daher viel Verkehr und laut. Nach Padron kommt man mit dem Taxi. Ansonsten direkt am Camino, daher für diesen Zweck sehr praktisch.Frühstück ausreichend und gut.

Hotel limpo e grande, com boas formas de passar o tempo e funcionários simpáticos. Quarto grande para 4 pessoas e estava bastante limpo! O pequeno almoço bom e também muito completo, só me faltou um bom sumo de laranja com laranjas mesmo a sério 😋 Obrigado!

Hotel bien situado y bastante bueno, piscina grande y tranquila, calidad/precio inmejorable, volveríamos sin duda.

Alojamiento ubicado en el Camino, pero lejos de núcleo urbano. Las instalaciones son muy antiguas, pero está muy limpio. La habitación espaciosa, pero muy ruidosa: se oía perfectamente la conversación de los vecinos de habitación. Yo quitaría la moqueta del suelo, que no tiene buen aspecto. Por lo demás, la ropa de cama está muy limpia y la piscina es estupenda, aunque se agradecería que hubiera alguna sombra. El desayuno muy mejorable. Quizás menos cantidad, pero mejor calidad.

Icke charmigt hotell beläget vid en rondell.

Hotellet ligger 2 km norr om Padron, inte alls i en lantlig idyll som jag trodde, utan vid en stor rondell med mycket trafik. Vill man gå ner till Padron, får man till viss del gå på starkt trafikerad väg. Rummet var i behov av renovering och jag kände mig inte välkomnad av personalen i receptionen. Frukosten skulle vara stor, men det betydde egentligen bara att det fanns mycket bröd och kakor, inte t ex bacon & ägg, eller omelett. Middagen på hotellet var medioker.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut - das Zimmer und das Hotel im Allgemeinen ist schon ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen! Und ja, hellhörig ist es auch - aber aushaltbar.

Las instalaciones tienen su tiempo, mobiliario... Precios de cafetería y restaurante en mi opinión caros, lo mejor el personal de recepción y desayuno.

Un poco decepcionado

Cogimos este hotel porque está en el Camino a Santiago Portugues. Pero necesita una reforma. Desde su inauguración no lo han tocado. El cuarto de baño anticuado con bañera (sin plato de ducha) y una cortina. Un poco lejos de Padron. Esta a 25/30 minutos andando, pero lo peor un tramo es por carretera.

A ne pas manquer !!! Qualite prix incomparable. Tres tres propre, piscine grande et propre !

Hotel funcional, sin pretensiones y destaca su nivel de limpieza y buen servicio

Tiene todo lo que un hotel tiene que ofrecer: silencio, limpieza, buen colchón, servicios... además la atención fue excelente.

Lo que más me gustó es que tenia piscina y después de una larga jornada de caminar se agradece. Las instalaciones muy razonables a calidad precio. Y me encantó el desayuno. 10/10

Siempre bien

Viajo por trabajo mucho a esta zona y siempre estoy de maravilla en el hotel. Muy limpio, muy buen servicio y es muy cómodo para moverse por la zona.

Mooi hotel, wel wat ouder maar met klassieke grandeur! Het diner en ook het ontbijt was goed. Verder kan niet onopgemerkt blijven: de de goede zorgen van ober Marcos, die er alles aan deed om ons verblijf fantastisch te maken.
