The staff were very nice and let us check in early, and had even upgraded our room for us. The bed is very comfortable, it is nice and clean in the rooms. It’s a very convenient location, very walkable to most popular attractions and also very close to transit stations if needed. We would stay again!
Very convenient.
Nice hotel but let down by miserable staff.
A nice hotel - but sadly let down by the front desk. Miserable, curt and rude. It’s a shame because it’s actually a nice hotel in a good location.
Hotel Elixir is ideal for exploring Paris and Its location is excellent for traveling from the airport : it literally takes 2 minutes to reach the hotel from the RER B, exit 14. The staff is also very kind, giving us the room much earlier than check-in time if the room is available. That is a real bonus after traveling all night. The room is small like they all are in Paris but nicely put together. I would go back there anytime.
I really don’t understand the positive reviews for this hotel.. one of the worst hotels I’ve been to at this price point. We got so catfished by the hotel’s photos! Where to start… - This was the MOST uncomfortable bed and pillows I’ve ever experienced. Topped with extremely cheap, itchy bedding. Barely slept. - The construction right outside the doors starts at 7:30AM (we were not made aware by staff) - Rooms are not cleaned very well (dust all over under the furniture, children’s stickers found on the mattress under the sheets when we were checking for bed bugs) - The shower is simply a handle and there is no shower door. Water gets everywhere. The tub drains SO slowly that it almost fully filled up by the time one of us had showered. The tiles in the shower looked like they were done by an amateur. - You hear every conversation of the guests in the rooms beside you, and every footstep of the guests above you The only redeeming quality of this hotel is its location, but I would recommend staying elsewhere and taking the metro. I could only recommend this hotel in good conscience if it was 1/3 of the price we paid. I actually got sad whenever we had to go back for the night
We enjoyed our stay and all the amenities. The only thing negative part was our room did not have a shower, just a bath with the shower hose and no holder which made it very hard to shower.
Location was magnificent
Nice and clean hotel, very convenient area, very commercial with shops, restaurants and metro stations all around. AWFUL staff!!!! The lady that received us in the morning was so rude with such attitude, she made us feel unwelcome and stupid, zero helpful she was just horrendous... unlike the gentleman from the other shift, he was very nice and attentive, just because of her i would NOT stay in this hotel never again!!!
Great location and staff
Close to everything
Great location
The location is excellent and close to tube station. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but okay. They are freezing cold though and the heating did not have any affect on the room temperature unfortunately. The breakfast is not worth the money.
Good location, poor service.
The room was ok although not very soundproof. The location is great. I left early morning (just before 5am) and was startled by an employee sleeping in the lobby's sofa when I came downstairs to leave. Unfortunately, this tainted my entire experience at this hotel as I believe it is completely unacceptable behavior from an employee (they had a pillow and blanket and all the lights were shut off as if this was a routine accommodation for them)
Great location, small but nice rooms and friendly staff. Great value!
We like Mr Laurent very much because he is a very kind, sweet and considerate person. He was very helpful in explaining to us how to get to the RER metro station in order to buy tickets to Chateau de Versailles. Even to the extend of getting us a taxi to Pullman Hotel, he contact the taxi driver who was very kind and gentleman too. The only setback about this property is the shower. The shower could be replaced with a better shower system, no need bathtub. It's not convenient to shower in bathtub.
Great location!
Recommend
Good size room, great location, breakfast good
Cannot rave enough about this hotel. Staff are wonderful, room was wonderful, breakfast was great, and LOCATION! 5 min walk to Samaritaine and 10 minute walk to Le Louvre!
Convenient area. A few mins walk to metro. Area is close To local bars.
Couldn’t be a better location!! Originally we sought out this location due to proximity to business trip meeting, but it was so close to Le Marais and other great locations. Laurent and staff were super helpful.
Great location, quiet street, central location to sun stations, 10 minute walk to the louvre
.
Súper céntrico distrito 1 donde puedes caminar por todo Paris, excelente ubicación y amabilidad del personal, ver a de buenos lugares para comer.
Very Good hotel, but the mattress was not comfortable was terrible.
Great room and area! Elixir team was helpful and accomodating.
Nice property close to the Louvre Friendly English speaking staff very helpful with all our needs Small rooms but all rooms in Paris are Laurent was kind and helpful on navigating around the area and finding a wonderful restaurant Angelina and providing tasty croissants at check out for our trip to our next destination Very nice gentleman handling the night desk helped with coffee Nice bottle of wine greeted us upon check in Would definitely recommend and go back for our next stay!
Tiny room
The room is really tiny and there is no room for anything, it doesn’t even have a closet or drawers. We had to take out clothes from the suitcase every day. Air didn’t work. Street is noisy. I would go somewhere else next time
Average place good location
I travelled for work so location was fantastic, within a few meters walk to Chatelet station and a short walk to les halles. Plenty of restaurant to choose from around Prompt check in and good service from the front desk lady. Cleanliness in the room was a bit poor though, there was black strands of hair (I’m blonde) in the bed and bathroom. For the price paid I wasn’t expecting all singing and dancing so I suppose it was acceptable
The room was spacious and clean . The staff was friendly . I will definitely be staying here again.
Although the bath was extremely small, and the room adequate, location makes the place. A short walk from the Seine, Louvre, Notre Dame, Metro, hop on hop off buses and many dining options, markets, shops... A great central location to explore from. Rooms were clean, staff was helpful and friendly.
Great location, amazing room for family!
Location is great!
Great location for a comfy room
The location of this hotel is excellent. Right beside a major metro station that connects several lines. The room was comfortable not too small. The elevator is small but I am glad there is one for the type of the building. The staff is very friendly and check in was simple. I would definately come back.
Everything’s good except the house keeper attitude
Location was perfect. Great restaurants nearby. Easy walking
Great location, friendly staff, perfect Paris stay.
The location of this hotel is awesome! Quite convenient...no problems there. The issues I have concern noise (drilling early in the am) with no prior warning. (2) Two of my sisters slept on the bunk bed in the room and have bites ALL over their skin. I have pictures that I intend to share with the hotel. I believe there were bed bugs and I'm not pleased with this at all. (3) The AC did not work well.
I never write reviews, but I think it's important to help others make an informed decision, so here goes. On my first day at the hotel, I returned to see my backpack soaked in urine. Yes, urine. It was absolutely disgusting. Upon telling the staff, they said if we left, they would give us a full refund. The only issue was that this was at 11 p.m., so relocating to a new hotel was not only an inconvenience since we had to work in the morning but also not feasible. All hotels were showing aggressively high prices at that hour. They did not offer to clean the urine or my backpack. So, I cleaned the urine... for 250 euros/ night, I had a urine-soaked backpack and spent time cleaning it. The staff told us the issue was being fixed, so we decided to stay and assess leaving in the morning if everything was fixed or not. Thankfully, the issue was fixed overnight. We asked them to clean our bag, which they did, but nothing was done to compensate us for the horrible experience, no partial refund, nothing. I was surprised how poor the customer service was considering the price per night relative to other accommodations in the area and disappointed. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.
Location, location, location :) so many sights accessible on feet, metro is just around the corner. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who can guide you in 4 languages. Greatplace to stay in the heart of Paris!
Great location, very quiet, very clean, great customer service
Close to everything on a quiet street.
Location.
It was exactly what we needed! Our family room had bunk beds for our girls who refuse to share a bed which made this the best place we stayed in Europe! Already booked our next stay!
Wonderful smaller hotel on a quiet side street close to Notre Dame/Les Halles. Staff was wonderful. Rooms are comfortable and quiet. Highly recommend this wonderful boutique hotel.
I only stayed two days at the Hotel Elixir but I loved every minute of it. I stayed in a single bed room on the top floor with a slanted ceiling which consistently reminded me of the beautiful architecture and structure of buildings in Paris. It was very convenient to get to and leave from. I had no troubles finding the local metro stations and going sightseeing from them. Staff was helpful and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others in the future and I’d love to return back in the future!
Manager is so helpful and friendly, not the reciptianist, No windows in the room, it was so expensive relative to other hotels I booked, Almost twice the price. I won't stay their again.
The room is not big but enough for two of us. Its quiet and clean. Staff are kind and easy to communicate.
Convenient to popular sites and plenty of food options close.
The location was very convenient and the neighborhood very safe and clean.
The location of the hotel was excellent. Walking distance to the Louvre, Notre Dame, Museum D'Orsay, Eiffel tower, Latin quarter.
The family suite worked perfectly for my two teens, my husband and I. Could not have a better location for the value!
For the location it is a tremendous value for high season! The bathrooms are strange & awkward to ise but easy to get over with the positives.
Great location walking distance to many sites
It was super great! The staff was awesome. The shower was a little weird because it was handheld and couldn't clip it above you. Other than that the place was amazing! Definitely would recommend
Well organized and clean. Beautiful room.
Great clean hotel. Rooms are very small, get 2 rooms if you are coming from US
I was in Paris for the Olympics and Hotel Elixer was the perfect place to stay. Walking distance to many touristic sights (including the Louvre) and 2 minutes walk to the Chatelet metro station. The staff was extremely helpful, allowed me to check in early and provide insightful tips for my visit. The room was spacious and surprisingly, even the bathroom was spacious. Airconditioning and WiFi were working well. I highly recommend this hotel for travelers who are looking for good value for money.
In an area convenient to shopping and transportation. Nice modern room.
the receptionist is not nice at night.
Room quality was very poor considering the amount paid. Curtains were hanging loose out of the rails. Wall had a big patch of unmatched paint to fix something. Shampoo/showergel bottles were falling off the walls. Shower heads/shower knobs were rusted and barely turning. Worst of all, the doors had these automatic closing mechanisms which kept closing the door with full force and injuring my children. Staff was nice but no one to help with our bags (we had 6 bags, we took a big family double room section). Experience was not nice. We came for a relaxing time but we had to compromise so many amenities and conveniences. i wouldn't recommend this hotel.
Good place to stay, great family rooms
Breakfast was amazing and affordable, rooms were clean and orderly. Will stay again!
Very good property in a very convenient location. Sadly, the main receptionist was extremely unpleasant. A remarkably rude lady. Rest of receptionists (a gentleman and a girl) acted normal.
The hotel is great location. Close to all the main high street shops and metro walking distance. Very small rooms. The shower wasn’t working properly. Not the cleanest rooms at all. Extremely noisy. Window wouldn’t close.
Hotel was simple, affordable and in a great location to explore. Lots of restaurants that stay open late are within walking distance and there's a metro stop nearby. Would stay here again.
Limited washcloths average breakfast
Convenient to shopping and dining. Very close to the metro and the louvre and other major attractions
Terrible front staff. Rude person greeted us full of attitude. We had sent request before arrival- was NOT taken into consideration, and not even reaponded too. Got a dingy shady room for 2, and we were told its not right for an infant (which i had specially messaged about prior to arrival, with no response from the team). We were told they would accommodate us the next day, but again the rude lady said the next morning that the room was given to someone who paid “more”. We moved last minute to another hotel after the terrible 1st night (where our infant even got hurt as the rooms are SOOO tiny).
Best place to stay in Paris close to everything!
Clean, tidy, stylish and quiet. I would stay here again. Great location and the room was perfect for a short stay.
The staff communicated with me in a respectful and quickly manner any questions I had. From the beginning they asked if I needed transportation to the place and needed information to get around. Room was spacious enough for one person and was daily cleaned. All essentials were provided. The only thing that I wasn't communicated was if there was breakfast and where to get it if there was until checkout when they asked me if I had breakfast during my stay to charge me for it.
Excellent location. Hotel room was very spacious and staff were very friendly.
Great front desk service!
Great find. Really a great deal for quality of hotel and location close to center of city. Would work on customer service of young lady at front desk and amenities that were in lobby but never made available to guests.
Happy
Elixir Hotel June 2024
Hôtel was very nice and staff was friendly. Excellent location close to restaurants and attractions. Would stay again!
This was a great hotel, convenient to everything and right in the middle of Paris. Lots of dining options and shopping right there, and the Metro was right around the corner. The staff was very friendly, especially the manager. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because there was no hot water during our one night stay due to city work. No one informed us until I asked at front desk. It was supposed to be fixed after we left. I would definitely stay here again.
Great stay!
Great hotel, spacious, clean, a/c, walking distance to so many popular places and restaurants and shops. Enjoyed sitting out on our little balcony at night! Great tea & coffee options in the room!
Poor customers service no hot water no WiFi
Each of the staff was very helpful and friendly! Highly recommend this property as it’s walking distance to many sites
The hotel is in poor conditions.
Great location Great staff
The BR is very small and the shower hooked up with the bathtub is very inconvenient to use .for this reason I do not recommend this hotel to stay in Paris. However the staff are excellent, very helpful and location is walkable to shopping, Malls and restaurants,
NA
We love the property, it’s in a great place, full of restaurants near by. The room it’s clean , well equipped, great price and the air conditioner it’s good.
Awesome location
Got to the hotel at night for them to tell us that there are no rooms for us availabile due to "technical issues". They sent us walking to a hotel 10 minutes away with 3 luggages through cobble stone walk ways and wirhout internet. When getting to their so called "sister hotel", we got a rmom facing a wall, dirty, no normal accomedation. Reservatios were not even tranfered!! We waited 30 minutes while they figured out the tranfer and we ended up beong 1 hour late to our reservation. No communicafion whats so ever
Overall very clean property and friendly staff; convenient location for metro, museums, cafes and restaurants. For the price point, very clean and satisfying stay in Paris, FR.
Great location, but the room was so small for a family of 4. Cute and quiet, next door to amazing restaurants and café’s. The tiny deck had a great view.
The hotel location is great. The hotel is clean and staff are friendly and helpful. This is the second time I stay in Elixir and I would again.
The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location is hard to top. However, cleanliness of the room left a bit to be desired. The spare pillow had make up on it, the bathroom wall had visible grime and streaks of dirt, the glasses for water had dust in them, and the iron had water in the tank from a previous guest that spilled in the cupboard.
This is a great option for Paris. Our room was great, kind of small as expected, but had everything you need. Very convenient to have Chatelet M station a block away. I would stay again here.
The close location of the hotel to many landmarks and metro station was so convenient. The hotel had great value for price. It seemed new and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The slightly opaque doors to the bathroom were a little awkward in the family suite but the size of the room and bathroom was better than expected.
Front desk staff was lovely. Will absolutely return to this property. It was so adorable.
The hotel is very close to attractions, close to subway and a lot of shopping stores and restaurants around.
A balcony room is not an upgrade!
We were 'upgraded' on arrival to a room with a balcony, but the steps to the balcony reduced the available space in the room. We asked for a downgrade and ended up with a bigger room on the first floor without balcony. But beware the AC units. They only seem to pump out hot air. Opening the window results in being woken by street noise at some unearthly hour. The staff on reception were super friendly and helpful. However, the staff on breakfast duty were not particularly efficient at topping up drink items and one of them was also pretty sharp and unfriendly. She definitely did not enjoy her job. A bigger variety of fruit at breakfast would be nice. Oranges appeared to be rationed to one a day, to whichever guest took it first. But we would certainly stay there again.
The good thing about this property is its location. The room for 4 is big but very old and in need of a refurbishment. The worst part for me was the bathroom. There was a persistent disgusting smell and the window could not be opened. We found hair in the sink and the flush would get stuck most of the time.
Good for the price
Family room experience not great.
First, the staff were all friendly and very accommodating. I’d like to believe that if there was another room available that we could have moved and solved a lot of issues. But we know that every hotel in the area was sold out- with it being pre-Easter week. That said, our family room was less than ideal and barely acceptable. The smell in the bathroom- coming from the drain- was so horrid that we almost couldn’t stand it. It went away when you ran the shower water so we did that a lot. That left the room very humid because Paris didn’t allow hotels to run the AC yet. We were on the first floor so we heard every.. single.. person enter the elevator, talking and laughing into all hours of the night. The beds were comfortable and the bunk bed was great for the kids. When we checked in, there was no light in the shower so we thought it was just meant to be dark. If not for the staff letting us check out late, I would have given this 2 stars. Again, they were very friendly but the smell in the shower was horrible.
The hotel is at great location, right next to Louvre and all major city attractions. Laurent (hotel manager) is a super host but Victoria is forgettable (seemed as if she had better work to do than be welcoming and smiling for guests and attend to them). The family room for 4 was on the ground floor, spacious and clean.
