TravellerThe rooms are simple but well appointed and clean. Very comfortable beds. A great location in El Palo that's close to the shops and restaurants as well as the beach. Reception hours are fairly short on the weekend but if you need to check in out of those hours it's incredibly simple.

TravellerIt was an ideal base for the money. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Location is great for getting to the beach or onto town. Malaga’s bus service into city centre is very good. Parking however is all on street and it can be difficult to find a space at certain times of the day. Very Spanish area and plenty of places to eat nearby. Great walks along the sea front in both directions.

The hostel was clean and comfortable the towels replaced every second day which is good to know the hostel is eco friendly and they don't provide loads of plastic mini bottles which I don't like. It was in a quiet area close to the bus stop and a supermarket as well as restaraunts and takeaway and it was at a decent price. Very pleased with hostal moscatel and i would book again.

I don't know if that's common in Spain but half of the staff in that hotel in reception don't speak English at all? Anyway nice and quiet place for low price.

Basic but good value for money. Room perfectly ok - had twin for single occupancy. Very quiet at night too, at least until the nearby gym got going! Friendly and helpful staff (eg let us print our boarding passes out on their computer). However, the reception is not manned 24/7. It's about 3 miles (5km) from the centre of Malaga eastwards along the coast, but there's a very good, cheap and frequent bus service (3, 11, N1); takes about 20 mins and runs 24/7.

TravellerHostal muy bien ubicado en el barrio de El Palo, a 6 min andando de la playa y a 2min de cafeterías, zona comercial, Mercadona, etc. En calle tranquila y agradable. Muy cerca del autobús que lleva al centro de Málaga y a la estación de bus/tren. Muy silencioso, habitaciones cómodas y limpias, acogedor. Tiene aire acondicionado. Repetiremos.

Hostal de muy buena calidad puesto el precio muy bajo. Muy limpio, cama muy confortable y hostal muy bien ubicado a minutos a pie de todo: autobús, bares, playa, caril bici... El Palo est un barrio sympatico, acogedor y tipico donde la gente es acogedora! A+++

Die Leute vom Service waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich hatte ein großes schönes Zimmer mit Balkon und ein großes Bad, sogar mit Bidet - alter mediterrane Komfort! Mit der Heizung gab es zwei Nächte Probleme, sie lief zeitweise. Dann wurde sie aber wie gewünscht abgestellt, und ich mußte danach das Frühstück nicht bezahlen, wie sonst üblich. Das Hostal liegt außerhalb von Málaga, das muß man wissen, die Stadt ist aber mit dem Bus gut erreichbar.

La habitación demasiado pequeña. La cama imposible de dormir con ese colchón,se escuchaban todos los ruidos. El primer día me cambiaron la toalla cuando realmente ni me hacía falta y luego la que tenía estaba super mojada y ahí me la dejaron. Sinceramente en esa zona que queda en la afueras de MÁLAGA debía de tener mejores ofertas y lo digo porque ya he estado en otro más cercano y ni punto de comparación con éste. Sinceramente no repetiría. El ambiente de terraceo muy bueno hay supermercados y sitios donde ir.

Het hotel is oké voor de prijs die je betaalt. Lekker dicht bij het strand en leuke wijkjes. Het centrum van Malaga is binnen 20 minuten te bereiken met de bus. Receptie is vaak gesloten of er is niemand aanwezig. Ruimtes zijn wat verouderd en niet brandschoon. Maar nogmaals: je betaalt niet de hoofdprijs, dus kan je ook geen echte luxe verwachten.

We arrived quite late and the hostel was hard to find and seemed a very long walk from the center. The reception wasn't too friendly, the room not very cosy and also quite noisy - all the sounds and talking at the reception could be heard in our room. After all we slept well, the beds were comfortable and the room tidy.
