Reasonable hostel but not great

Not as good as many hostels around LaRambla. In the first hostel I stayed on near a street running parallel, for less money, I got breakfast, had my own bathroom and toilet and comfortable furniture Reception at Dragonfly is only open for a few hours a day, quite a walk to get to tourist sites, and rooms are poorly furnished. It was ok, very clean but the shower for example is so small that you either have a shower curtain stuck to your back or your belly pushing the tap closed. Soap in the shower was very cheap and not pleasant smelling. All up I wouldn't go back there when so many better options are available. Owner/manager is very pleasant and helpful.

Perfect budget hotel in a great neighbourhood

This is a fantastic budget hotel in the perfect location! Firm and comfortable bed, a private shower in the room (which we weren't expecting), powerful A/C, and friendly service. It is in walking distance to almost everything, surrounded by great coffee shops and restaurants, and well-connected to transit. Amazing value for the price. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it highly.

Great location, super clean property and affordable. Only recommendation is to bring ear plugs because staying in the gothic district in a heritage building is a little noisy but that’s to be expected :)

The owners are helpful and accommodating. The room was very basic and had a few amenities such as towels and bathrobes. No elevator so if you have heavy luggage and are on the upper floors, it’s a long way up. Two toilets and 1 shower for a number of rooms. A sink in every room would be appreciated.

Great location and super kind and helpful staff. Not a large room but pleasant and on a lovely street with so much walkable nearby.

The staff was polite, the room clean and with a lot of space and air conditioning.

Finding the location was pretty straightforward. All the staff that we encountered were incredibly kind and professional. Great location for exploring the Gothic Quarter and other parts of Barcelona! The room was small, but had everything you could need and was quite clean. Our only complaint was that the walls were a bit thin, so the people in the room next to you can really impact the enjoyment of your stay. Would definitely recommend staying here!

In the heart of Barcelona

Great spot

We had a great stay at the dragonfly. Position was fantastic, a balcony overlooking the laneway. Angel was a great host

I loved the location, and Angel was very nice and helpful. The walls are pretty thin but it wasn't busy enough to be an issue. There wasn't an elevator and we were on the third floor, but luckily my friend and I are able to climb stairs without issue.

Host was great and helpful with everything that we asked and needed. Location was great to be able to walk to different sites or to utilize the hop on hop off system.

Good location

The property manager was beyond welcoming. The room was clean, but modest. Lots of hot water. Towels changed every day even when we said it wasn't necessary. Everything worked. A great view of the street from the balcony. Wonderful neighborhood. There are quite a few steps to get to any of the rooms so perhaps not the best choice for anyone who isn't eager to climb a little. Good workout, otherwise.

Excellent location, a bit noisy at night from people passing by on the street. Overall great experience.

Dirty beds, dirty rooms

It was a big problem that they do not clean the room. They only tidy up. When we arrived to the room it was dirty (probably it was not cleaned after the previous customers) and during our stay they did not clean although we asked them to clean. The worst thing is to sleep in dirty beds.

Would definitely stay here again

The owner is a lovely and friendly man who we viewed as more of a grandpa figure - he gave us advice about the city and was great with any queries we had regarding the room (e.g. How to work the air con). The location was perfect and the street Is safe and well lit up even at night. The beds were comfy and there was even a maid who cleaned rooms. This definitely felt more like a hotel than a hostel aside from the shared bathroom (which was also super clean)

Live in the real Barcelona

The location is perfect. Twenty minutes walk (at most) to most attractions. Embedded in a lively residential area. Too many bars, restaurants, and cafes to list. Be aware. It's a lively neighborhood, and Spaniards keep late hours. There will be street noise until 1:00am. Also, it's on a pedestrian street. It's not a good choice if you're driving.

great place, clean, illuminated. friendly staff, the linen are clean and smell really fresh and nice. the hotel is calm. the bathroom is shared , but pretty clean. no lift, we used the stairs... great location in the heart of old barcelona... verry convenient for someone who wants to explore the city.

Good rate with Hiking

We had to walk 30 mins to find the place as the taxi dropped us @ the wrong place, pulling 2 large luggage & going up 69 steps staircase was a challenge. We did it after people around kept on directing us the wrong way.... The room was fine with a shower & toilet was accessible, no crowds. Wish there was a TV, the first night was noisy fr the streets. Interesting alleys and close to Musica & walking dist to Arc de T & other key areas. The hostal rate was good if you do not have large luggage like us. Safe area ok.

Nice Neighborhood, clean rooms

Not far away from Rambla. Nice street, some food and clothes stores, bars. Very clean and calm room. Some rooms has street view. Nice interior, seems cosy. You will stay in 4th stage, so many stairs and no elevator ( be noticed with heavy luggage). Two toilets and one shower. This hostel has 7 rooms. Every room has his own sink, and you can find hand soap. Walls are quite thin, so you can hear all conversations in coridor, and your neighbours. Beds could be better, was too hard for me, but pillows were comfortable. Shared toilets was always clean and you can find shower gel and shampoon left by others. Where were no place to put wet towells. You can find even a kettle, but unfortunately no cups.

This hostel is in a great location. The staff at the front desk were very nice and helpful. I would stay here again!

Great location with easy access all day

Great reception on arrival which was quick. Staff was knowledgeable about the local area and was able to provide adequate information for our enquiries, being that it was our first time in Malaga. Terrace bar was a nice area to chill after a long day exploring and the location of the accommodation provided easy access to the city centre 24 hrs each day.

Very nice hotel near of all tourist attraction s

This hotel has impressed my gratefully. The decoration is very classic and terrific. I really loved it. My room is located In the second floor with a view to the main Street. Also, the location is perfect.

Overall-- great

It was great, the hosts were very nice but the person who was there most of the time barely spoke english, still a great stay though!

Cheap digs, no frills

Lovely hosts, cute room which was very clean. I had to ask for a kettle and a cup, no drinking glasses, no hair dryer available. The shared bathroom is outside, which was very cold since it was winter. Showers had smoked glass doors, and while they worked okay, I didn't feel like I had any privacy. While the venue isn't on smoking, there was cigarette smoking wafting through the whole time.

Comfortable stay

Had to book this hotel last-minute after my previous one was canceled last minute. Overall very comfortable with good service, only thing is there is no elevator so be wary if you have multiple or heavy suitcases. I also had a shared bathroom which is not ideal, but overall I would go again.

Nice hotel and very central.

Clean rooms and renovated. Walking distance from all touristic sites. Hotel manager was very nice and helped us during our stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to Barcelona.

Good affordable hostal

Great little hostel. The beds were uncomfortable but otherwise great room! I liked the location a lot and the showers in the rooms were a nice touch.

Tout était parfait du début à la fin ! Avant le séjour, réponses rapides à mes questions pratiques. À l'arrivée, superbe accueil, nous avons pu choisir notre chambre. Tout est très propre, ménage fait tous les jours. Hôte vraiment très accueillant et disponible tout au long du séjour. Nous avions une petite crainte concernant les douches partagées, mais à l'image du reste de l'hôtel, une propreté irréprochable. Situation parfaite pour visiter Barcelone à pied, que ce soit aller en ville ou à la plage rapidement. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter à l'hôtel dragonfly, et le recommandons à tous !

Séjour agréable à 10min de la rambla ! Seul problème c’est qu’il y avait des travaux durant le séjour et nos nuits n’ont pas été très paisible mais pour le reste c’était un bon hébergement

Vidunderlig by. Rar og venlig vært. Ok overnatning, dog er der meget lydt. Slidt - især badeværelse. !!! Manglede helt bestemt kaffe, te og en el-kedel. Manglede også en føntørrer.

Séjour sympa à Barcelone. Bémols de l'hôtel : clim non réglable, il faisait trop chaud. Le 1er janvier pas de service de chambre. Un jour, on nous avait enlevé les serviettes mais mas remplacé la totalité. Très bruyant jour et nuit. Dommage, car sinon c'est très propre, bien situé.

Det er et deilig hotell

Det er i sentrum og servitør som jobber på hotellet er veldig snille. Men ulempe er det vi må dele opp dusj og toalett. Det er ikke så rolig hvis andre bråker i natta.

Fue una gran experiencia. La ubicación es magnifica, la habitación amplia y la cama muy cómoda. Ángel, nuestro host es una persona amable y dispuesta a procurar bienestar a los huéspedes

Todo muy bien, atención, limpieza, ubicación, solo el detalle del ascensor no funcionaba, por lo demás todo muy bien, lo recomiendo.

オーナーはとても気さくでいい人だったので申し訳ないんですけど、、ロケーション条件以外は残念でした。。ホテル紹介の掲載写真が綺麗に写しすぎです。部屋の鍵も建付け悪いし、もう壊れそうでした。シーツのシミも目立ちました。螺旋階段の写真はありましたが、エレベーターが無いことをわかるように書いておいて欲しかったです。宿泊費が結構したのに、金額に見合っていません。周りにはスーパーも美味しいお店もあるし、カタルーニャ音楽堂で夜音楽聞いて5分で帰れるのがメリット！と思い直して気分を変えました。ヨーロッパのホテル選びは難しいですね。

Weekendresa

Egentligen ingenting att klaga på, särskilt med beaktande av priset. Kanonbra läge, rent och fräscht, städning varje dag. Kan verkligen rekommendera!

Mala relación calidad-precio

Tercer piso sin ascensor (no avisado al contratarlo). Empleado amable que me subió la maleta. Ducha en la habitación, pero WC compartido (tampoco lo vi en la publicidad). Mala relación calidad-precio (más de 60€/noche 1 persona). Precio de hotel y servicios de albergue. Hay albergues mejores y más baratos...

Åker till samma igen!

Toppen läge. Bra promenadavstånd till mat, sevärdheter, shopping och bar. Man får nyckel till porten och klarar sig själv, personal finns på plats men kändes mer som en egen lägenhet/rum i centrala Barcelona.

La camera non è stata nelle nostre aspettative, vecchia, cn pochi confort, senza tv, la tenda della doccia sporca e antiigienica il cambio asciugamani è stato fatto una volta su quattro sotto reclamo, in più eravamo al quarto piano senza ascensore, pagando quasi 100 euro a notte con letti singoli anziché un letto matrimoniale, una totale delusione
