Great location close to Stanthorpe nestled amongst bush land. Cottage was very clean and tidy, lovely breakfast hamper was provided. Great communication from owner. Perfect for a family or couple. We look forward to staying again.
Loved the log fire
We loved the cottage, fireplace with plenty of firewood provided. Privacy and accessibility to Stanthorpe and the national parks. Boulders surrounding the property were a bonus to our delight of being in Stanthorpe.
Had a great stay! Thank you!
Great place to stay, friendly staff and nice in warm in the cottage.
Lovely and peaceful. We had a wonderful weekend away! Emma was amazing and helpful with any questions I had- very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend this accommodation.,
Love the place. Such an amazing get away. Privacy, quietness, nature around and close to everything you need. For sure we will be back
Extremely comfortable in a Very unique setting enjoyed the log Fire
The environment was so peaceful and lovely owner....Breakfast basket was so helpful and egg and bacon delicious! Juice and a loaf of bread provided as well . Very helpful and a cosy cottage!...We would book there again!... Peter and Diane
An excellent facility, like new and fully self contained. Revetse cycle AC plus a wood heater. Bed very comfy. Big spa bath....only downside is that it would take forever to fill. Definitely recommend.
Lovely bush setting, very cosy with a log fire( wood supplied). The breakfast basket supplied by the hosts on arrival was full of lovely local produce & very substantial! Maccas around the corner if you have children. Very handy location to all the local attractions, vineyards & bushwalks.
perfect for the thee days we stayed. excelent brecky basket would recomend a great place to stay.
This is the second time we have stayed, and we love the beautiful gardens and location. The pre-cut firewood and the breakfast hamper add the special touch which also brought us back.
Very happy with our stay will come again. Will recommend to friends
Comfortable and accessible to all Stanthorpe attractions
From the welcome basket, warm fire and great location, we were brilliantly catered for. Thanks for a restful place to come to after a busy day of site seeing. Will be coming back.
Cute self contained coattages set in a leafy garden.
Amazing tranquil location, excellent hosts and substantial breakfast basket supplied.
Each cottage is both self-contained and private -- away from others. A secluded retreat.
Honny Suckle is a very nice stay in the Stanthorpe region. There's much to do in the area like going to wineries, juiceries and the soapery.
We liked the 'traditional' cottage, its amenities and location.
We liked the fully detached cottage with woodfire.
Hosts went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable,
set in a lovely spot very private close to town
Cottages were very quaint and in character. We loved the fireplace, the bushland setting but still close to everything and the food baskets was exceptional.
The lovely lanscaped environment meets you as you drive in and the hosts are warm friendly and helpful. The suite cottage we had was lovely inside with wooden lacework seperating the bedroom from the living. The breakfast hamper was full of goodies. Highly recommended.
Beautiful, cosy, private self contained cottages. Check-in was friendly and smooth. Plenty of firewood provided as the nights were chilly. Very comfortable rooms. We loved walking through to the saddlery. Would definitely stay again.
Magic getaway
An amazing place in a bush environment. Service was amazing, with a breakfast basket for the whole stay containing more than you were able to eat and timber ready to use in the fireplace in different sizes to make the process easier. Cottages are very comfortable with all the needs covered.
Everything was good, as seen on the web site. Excellent reception etc
Older but very comfortable property. Quiet, in bushland setting. Very friendly owner. Very generous breakfast hamper that lasted my entire stay. It was easy to relax and feel at home here. Would definitely stay again.
We liked the well appointed clean and roomy cabin, the wifi was fast, there are plenty of touristy thins to do around Stanthorpe.
Terrible smell when we opened the door each time. Spiders everywhere. Had to kill huge one before unpacking. Bugs through out cottage. Spoken with Owners who said they dont fumigate.
Property was very comfortable and clean and the breakfast basket was such a nice touch and totally delicious. We felt very welcome and enjoyed our stay.
Wifi poor. Stayed 2 years ago. Needs a little updating. No handrail in shower/spa bath to hold onto. Bed a little too soft for our liking, may suit others.
Beautiful peaceful location, cottage was perfect. Emma & Renato are so welcoming and making this a better venue constantly! Breakfast basket was fabulous, and generous, letting us sample a little of the local produce! We'll be back!
Gorgeous cottage stay in Stanthorpe
Everything from pre stay communication, to check in, to the actual stay was amazing. An adorable cottage great for a weekend away - or even a week if it suits your timeframe. Plenty of room for a couple. The kitchenette has a great range of cooking utensils and tools. The bathroom is a pleasant size. The bed is very comfortable. Short drive to the centre of town and even though it is near the highway and McDonalds it is perfectly quiet. Photos of the rooms are exactly as they look. The breakfast basket is wonderfully stocked. We will definitely stay again.
Recommending Honeysuckle Cottages to everbody!!! Everthing we wanted, more than we expected and we will be back.
Cute cottages!! Must stay when in Applethorpe
Amazing!!! Highly recommended!!! Getting back to nature was just what I was after and totally what I got. So relaxing and peaceful! Easy checkin and our breakfast basket looked delicious with fresh produce that i cooked myself for breakfast The cottages are so cute, practical with a small kitchen and have comfy beds. Having a fire place was wonderful as the nights did get cooler then expected so having that going while watching tv was very nice. Very close only 5 min drive to Stanthorpe. Would totally stay again! Thank you
The surroundings were lovely and pleasing and the only downside was the front screen door was burst down the bottom
Lovely quiet place. Nice hosts. Fabulously Clean. Generous brekkie basket. Highly recommended.
The property was nestled in bushland amongst the granite boulders. The cottage was quiet and well appointed with everything you need for a weekend stay. Very comfortable, but no air conditioning. Breakfast basket was well stocked with local produce. On site restaurant was not operating in the off peak season. Heaps of places to eat in Stanthorpe anyway.
Great stay in Stanthorpe
Fantastic welcome and a lovely goodbye when we departed - great people in a great location with great amenities and a delicious hamper!
A lovely relaxed location, roaring log fire, excellent service and an amazing breakfast hamper full of goodies.
Pleasant overnight stay
Very pleasant stay - we spent one night, very generous breakfast basket provided on arrival, they use locally produced soap from Washpool which is nice! No shampoo or conditioner though. Overall a nice place to stop by.
The basket of goodies on arrival was amazing! Fresh bread delivered to the door in the morning was wonderful. Loved the log fire.
We love the fireplace and the very generous breakfast goodies to cook. The hosts are respectful of the guests' desire for privacy. Lovely place. Will be back!
What's not to like. Location is great so close to Stanthorpe and National Parks. Attractions a short drive as well. Property well maintained. Our cottage was spotless and the breakfast basket was substantial. Lots of fire wood to burn as well. Emma was very helpful in suggesting things we might like to do and places to dine. Great getaway experience.
Great place to visit and stay!
Great stay and plenty to do around Stanthorpe- more than we thought! The cottages are cosy and quiet and have everything you need. The breakfast basket was awesome and all the little extras were good quality. Emma was very nice and friendly on arrival and check-in was easy and she was very helpful in recommending places to visit and dining options for that night. We had a great time. Thanks guys.
We loved it
The place was homely and had everything that one would want in a cottage. the beds were really comfortable and the breakfast basket was generous, (although the butter for the toast was missing). We could have asked for it though and it would have been forthcoming as the hosts were friendly and helpful. We needed to be close to the centre of Stanthorpe and the Honeysuckle Cottages were just a short drive away.
We stayed in cottage 1 and were very happy with it. It was compact but not stuffy. The cottage is laid out well with separate bed area, sitting area and dining table. There was a wood fire pre-stacked with wood prior to our arrival and warmed the room well for most of the night. Although there was no other heaters in the room, there were electric blankets on the bed if you were still cold. The kitchen had everything you would need to be self-contained: microwave, stove, toaster, kettle, jaffle maker, electric frypan, saucepans and necessary utensils. The bar fridge also had a good sized freezer. The breakfast basket was ample with delicious fresh local strawberries, bread and croissants from the bakery, milk, juice, local honey, cereals, coffee, bacon and eggs. The bathroom had a small corner spa bath with overhead shower. We didn’t try the spa but the shower was lovely and hot with great water pressure. The bed was not particularly comfortable but this is a personal preference so I am being very picky here. Overall excellent service and lots of small touches to make you stay more comfortable. Reception has a good range of wine, beer, honey and body wash etc. There is a service station behind the cottages for other essential items, or the town centre is only a 5 min drive away.
Peaceful hideaway but still near civilisation
It was amazing. Peaceful . Log fire. Fantastic breakfast. Great people. Magpies that came to our door of a morning. didnt want to leave.
Great place to stay
Accommodation is very clean and well equipped - there is a log burner which adds to the cosy atmosphere. The owners are welcoming, friendly and have put a lot of thought into making sure guests enjoy a comfortable stay - they provided complimentary breakfast showcasing some of the local produce. Perfect place for a relaxing and peaceful getaway. Also a great spot to stay while visiting national parks and wineries in the region.
Loved the cosy fireplace, warm spa and generous breakfast basket.
Cabin in Applethorpe, Queensland
Quite comfortable cabin in Applethorpe, Queensland, very close to Stanthorpe. The cabin had a wonderful wood burner which was very necessary in July! The bathroom was big with a spa bath which included a shower. The only down side for us was the uncomfortable double bed. The mattress needs updating and it needs to be a queen size bed. Other than that, we had a wonderful two night stay in this beautiful part of Queensland.
Perfect for families
The new owners are warm and welcoming. I’ll definitely stay here again.
Conveniently located
Stayed here for two nights centrally located. Clean and comfortable the staff are welcoming and accomodating could not do enough for you. Could not go wrong staying here. I would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the Stanthorpe area 😃
Will be back
Fabulous
Comfy
Had a great stay here, comfortable little cottages, not far from town and handy to nearby wineries. Wi fi could of been better
Peaceful and Friendly
My husband & I had a weekend staying at the Honeysuckle Lodge and was met with a warm and friendly smile and the biggest breakfast hamper I have ever seen, it was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and looking forward to staying again.
Great getaway
Very comfortable cottage; friendly, helpful staff; close to access roads for all wineries; incredible, delicious breakfast basket
peace and quiet
a nice peaceful stay in a self contained country cottage. a pity the sp didn't work
Very friendly staff. Very cosy cottage .great location
Country getaway
Decided to visit Stanthorpe for a few nights in Winter and decided we needed somewhere with a fireplace. The cabins are nice and clean and the rooms are stocked with almost everything you need. The location wasn't exactly what we expected as it's located on the main highway behind a service station, but you don't really notice it and it's actually pretty central as long as you have a car.
Lovely cosy cottage with good amenities
enjoyed the log fire. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Plenty of hot water.
Winter wonderland stay
Excellent cottage feel, lovely owners. Couldn't do enough to help. Breakfast was a plenty even with 2 teenage boys. The log fire and electric blanket made everything so cosy and warm. Would recommend maybe updating the old towels, but other than that it was perfect! Will definitely return, and that's a promise.
Sneaky night away from the city.
After a late friday night decission to run away for the night we booked a last minute deal at Honeysuckle Cottages. This was exactly what we were looking for warm comfy cottage with a spa bath and a log fire. The perfect escape from our city life. Just bliss!
Quiet Private Cottages
Beautiful Private Cottages
Sweet cottages
Sweet little cottages, nice and quiet. Spa bath is lovely.
Country cottages
Overall experience of this property was very positive. Ideal for couples wanting to get away for a weekend. Private cottage, country decor, intimate setting.
Peaceful and a great way to get away!
What a lovely place. The cottage had everything that we could ask for with a beautiful log fire, comfy lounge chairs, all with the typical country feel and quite spacious. We had a lovely basket of bacon, sausages, eggs, bread, milk, juice and condiments presented to us on arrival which was great for our breakfast on the three days we were there. We'd definitely go again!
Romantic getaway
Nice romantic spot for a couple to get away. The wood fire giving it a homely feel. Would go again.
Nice retreat
Nice and quiet, but still close to all local attractions. Staff was very helpful without being pushy. Rocks restaurant was very good as well.
Cottage accommodation
Clean & comfortable...loved the breakfast basket. Good location a little bit out of town. Great restaurant.
Cottage north of Stanthorpe
Clean large cottage for two, warm fireplace. Everything we needed was there. Quiet most of the time (road works going on early in the morning but it didn't worry us.
