Amazing interiors and great location

The staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast is awesome even for those who are plant based you still have a lot of options. There are tons of restaurants and coffee shops in walkable distance and several attractions are just a 7-10 minute walk away

Hobo Helsinki was a great location to explore the city. We received an upgrade and the room was great. Breakfast buffet was one of the best we have had in Scandinavia. Highly recommend it.

Wonderful Home Away from Home

What a lovely, friendly, hip hotel. Feels more like a hosetl, in a good way. Great gym. No sauna though. Excellent food.

Excellent boutique hotel with all the amenities

The Hobo Helsinki was an amazing boutique hotel. It had beautifully appointed, clean, and comfortable rooms with a lovely en suite bathroom, incredible staff, terrific environmental sustainability efforts in house, a truly expansive and delicious breakfast buffet, strong in hotel security access that was also easy to deal with, and the best location - right downtown, simply a five minute walk from the central train station and near to buses, light rail, and metro. I simply cannot recommend it enough.

This was a great Hotel. The location was perfect very accessible to everything. The staff was extremely nice room was very clean.

Perfect spot in the middle of Helsinki

Top notch location, couldn’t be beat. So much around, right in the center of things. All the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Great breakfast buffet! Bathroom wonderful, loved the extra touches like slippers and umbrellas. Luggage storage helped too. Hip and trendy decor was fun.

Amazing place. So clean and perfect location. The gym was fantastic. Probably the best I have seen in any hotel. Breakfast was delicious and with so much variety. The front desk receptionist was not great. ( I arrived at 11 and my room wasn’t ready yet) He could have been more friendly but otherwise I would stay here again and recommend it to everyone

Modern, quirky, comfy

A really modern hotel that feels like something special and right in the city centre. The rooms are comfortable and quirky with additional extras and lots of tips to enhance the stay.

Enjoyed my stay

Hobo Helsinki was great for a short stay but if I was to do a longer stay, I’d expect some more amenities and improvements to take the experience from great to excellent. Good: Good location Fantastic breakfast with lots of options including vegan and gluten free, as well as local specialities Lovely design of the hotel common areas and is it design-forward Had a lovely negroni and pizza from the restaurant Friendly team Luggage storage downstairs is self service which is appreciated Quiet hotel Could be improved: Bins - there is only one tiny bin in the bathroom which is not enough - there should be one in the main room or in the corridor to help guests recycle or get rid of rubbish daily (without having to request a clean) Having a safe in the room to store valuables Having smart TVs for screen sharing, streaming services or more English language channels. The only English language channel that worked for my room was National Geographic and I was unable to screen mirror from my phone to the TV to watch Netflix. More information on arrival / check in (telling me check out times etc) would have been helpful - or this information could be in the room Having a small fridge in-room would have been appreciated if it had been a longer stay for water etc

It’s such an experience to stay here! A very modern yet, very clean property. I love staying here and i will for sure do it again.

the hotel has a really nice style everyone is really friendly; very cool design; we got to keep the cool hotel slippers but unfortunately the breakfast was not really great

The Hotel is nicely centrally located and convenient. Breakfast was fine. The room I stayed in was chilly. Adjusting the thermostat didn’t seem to help. The only minus of the stay was the lack of a bidet. A bidet is quite important for travelers.

Comfy stay in Helsinki

Great hotel and the very best breakfast

We enjoyed our 3 nights and 4 days stay in Hobo Hotel Helsinki. Large room has a free use of the Allas Pool which our kids enjoyed a lot. The staff who welcome us in our stay was superb, we will definitely come again.

Hobo is a good place to stay! Its location is very convenient to walk to different attractions. Also the breakfast was amazing!

Value for money! Best location during Christmas season. It is just two minutes away from the Christmas market. Family friendly! The morning buffet serves nice Finnish Fazer!

The decor was fun and everything worked well. Its a shame the bar was closed one evening. Fabulous breakfast included. Thank you!

Great for short stay in Helsinki

My sister and I stayed for 2 nights and we upgraded from a Hobo Sleeper to a Hobo Double the day before we checked in as were given a good offer and we liked the idea of extra space. It is well located, only a 10min walk from the train station, plenty of food options within a short walk and most of the usual tourist attractions. Staff were friendly at check in and the room was clean. The breakfast offered by the hotel had lots of good options and was tasty. We'd stay again.

The DJ playing music Friday night was outstanding on the Finnish National day in the lobby bar. A lot of real plants in the hotel love that Nice colours and design in general, great photo machine by the reception. At breakfast a bit of a military behaviour when we were told to leave the breakfast table by 11 o’clock sharp.

The property was very clean, nicely presented and staff werw excellent. They just ran out of T Bags :)

Trendy Stay in Helsinki City Centre

Trendy and youthful hotel right in the city centre. Shopping all around and within walking distance of majority of sights.

Had a great stay at Hobo Helsinki! Very cool bar / social area, the food and drinks from the bar were excellent (had the pizza). There are lockers if you show up early and need to leave your bag. The room was beautiful, trendy, and had everything I needed. Suuuper comfortable bed! They have events at the hotel too, so there’s always something going on. Very walkable and close to everything including the central station. Would definitely stay again!

Good experience

If you want to stay in Helsinki and walk out the door right into HELSINKI and look forward to getting back to your hotel, this is the place! Been staying here for years.

I was very happy with my stay at Hobo Helsinki. The location is perfect for exploring the center. It's a 5-to-10-minute walk from the central train station and there is a tram stop right around the corner that will take you to the port for a ferry to Tallinn, Estonia. I was on the 4th-floor facing the street, but the room was the quietest I have ever slept in. I never heard any noise from the street, the hallway, or from adjacent rooms. Was I the only person on that floor? The breakfast buffet here is amazing! Thy serve delicious hot food - the roasted pork belly was awesome - and cold food options from basic cereals to traditional Finnish foods like whipped blueberry semolina porridge. I would absolutely stay here again. My only regret was that my room didn't have a comfortable chair to sit in or a table or desk to work at. Maybe the higher priced rooms have those things. But my room and the bathroom were spacious and the shower was great.

Brilliant Hotel

Extremely good hotel, could not fault it. Excellent breakfast, comfortable bed, clean room, very good customer service from all staff and especially from Eetu on reception. Will definitely stay again when in Helsinki.

Overall a great experience staying here, my only comment would be about the sink in the room. The room and bathroom size were good, when you compare the sink to it , it was tiny and very difficult to even brush your teeth.

Very stylish hotel, i was there for 3 nights the staff were helpful when i first attended. The room was very nice i stayed in room 415 and it was quiet, facing the the hotel entrance. It was a nice touch having a bluetooth speaker in my room. The gym was well equipped. The breakfast was ok, not much hot food options for non pork eaters. I had a double bed but they only put single size duvets on it which was odd. And it was a bit annoying that u have to find a member of staff to clean your room instead of them doing automatically every couple of days or so. Other than that great stay

Very nice retro style hotel

Had a great stay here, the location was amazing and the hotel felt really new and clean. The gym was great too. I have to leave an honest review so my only issue was the lack of bedside USB inputs, there was a normal plug outlet, but no USB which I find is quite common now for most hotels and strange not to include for such a modern place.

Super central to Helsinki. Quick walk from Main Station, right in the middle of shopping and eating establishments. Short walk to the water and market, next to tram station, nice room, big shower, air conditioning!

I had a great stay here! It’s in an easily accessible location for everything you need…restaurants, shopping, exploring via foot or public transportation. And the main train station is a five minute walk away! As a solo traveler I felt very safe and staff were nice!

HOBO Helsinki is a great choice to stay in the city center. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe. While the rooms are fresh, I would appreciate if they could offer free face tissues. In the particular, my room did not have face towel hooks next to the sink, neither body towel hooks next to the tub. An excellent value for the price.

Funky hotel with a great vibe. Room was really nice and comfortable and the breakfast buffet was very good. Thankfully they had laundry service available (after three weeks on the road) although ridiculously expensive! Great location to get to main attractions in the city Center. Highly recommended.

A great location, friendly and efficient staff, spacious and comfortable room with a fantastic shower, delicious breakfast all make this laid back hotel one of my new favourites in Helsinki! Will be back. Oh, and a very well equipped gym!

Great hotel, funky art, good rooms, and fantastic breakfast buffet. The location is amazing, close to everything and a 10 minute walk to the train station/airport transport. The room could have a few more amenities (like a box of Kleenex...), but overall a very pleasant stay.

Super helpful staff!

Outstanding hotel with very cool bar in the lobby. Bartender was great, knowledgeable and super friendly. The staff at the front desk had big attitude and I found them very pretentious. Would have been 5 stars if it wasn’t for that part of my experience.

Great location, kind reception, clean and sophisticated interior, healthy and good taste breakfast... We are so satisfied all of these experience provided by this hotel. This was our first trip to Helsinki, so we can not compare with the others. However, we were very comfortable to stay at this hotel. So, if we will have another chance, we will definitely choose this hotel again. Thank you!

The breakfast buffet was well prepared and included a wide variety of dishes. The location is close to the shopping/dining area and only a few minutes walk from the cathedral.
