Hobo is in a great location in centre of town. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Very good value for money considering location, breakfast and comfort of room and facilities. Would recommend

We had previously had a great stay at the Hobo Hotel in Stockholm and when we found that there was also one in Helsinki, decided to book. We were not disappointed - great location within walking distance to most attractions, clean comfortable room (we were aware of the policy of cleaning only when requested and this worked fine for us), excellent breakfast, very helpful staff....

The property is in an excellent location with great facilities for families. In particular, the children enjoyed table tennis, playing board games and visiting the gym. The breakfast buffet was also very good each morning.

Hobo Helsinki......great location and comfortable!

Our family of 4 found Hobo Helsinki to be in a great location near train central station and major shopping area and tourist spots. The hotel is vibrant and has a good young vibe. We enjoyed the bountiful breakfast though we wished it would open up earlier possibly on week days from 8am to 7:30am or sooner. Room relatively clean and comfortable, though our room for 4 had a open bathroom concept for the shower so just be aware. A box of kleenex would be helpful as well. Overall, we would stay here again.

Good points - the hotel is very central, walking distance from the main railway station, public transport, shopping area, central tourist attractions. The hotel room was spacious and very quiet - despite various functions taking place elsewhere in the building. The staff were helpful, and breakfast was good quality and plentiful. Downsides - the room was kind of style over substance. Apart from a rail and a few coat hangers there was nowhere to put clothes. Basically all you could do was leave your suitcase on the floor and open it - not a terribly comfortable way of doing things. The room was also rather warm, though to their credit the reception staff did something about this as soon as we mentioned it.

This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Very helpful staff, amazing room, large spaces, great breakfast, central downtown location and very green!

This was a pleasant stay. First time in Helsinki. Only issue that was more of a behavioral type issue was i arranged a taxi with front desk the evening before to take me to ferry dock to Estonia. Reconfirmed. The morning off went to get my taxi. No show went in reception she confirmed the previous evening host never made the request. Why lie and say you did? In the end it worked out. But left me untrusting of that one employee. Overall will stay here again when I return to Helsinki later this year.

Style over substance - bang average

No fridge or minibar, no coffee machine and no drawer for clothes. Just single beds pushed together with single duvets and no automatic room cleaning and an average breakfast. Style over substance - will not stay again.

In a perfect location, with friendly and genuinely helpful staff. My room was spacious and comfortable plus the breakfast is great. A really good place to stay and explore Helsinki.

I think personally I preferred the GLO aesthetic more than all this brickwork and glass, but the hotel is clean and excellently located opposite Fazer and near the esplanade and station.

Great price for a prime location hotel with a cool vibe. Rooms are pretty compact but have most things you need. Would have been nice to have water in the room but complimentary water was available downstairs. Breakfast was exceptional for quality and range of options catering for all sorts if diets and intolerances. Service was super friendly and we'd definitely visit again if we came back to Helsinki

Nice stay, good location. I just don't understand bathroom arrangement, there's two sliding glass doors that don't even fully close bathroom - meaning that whatever you do in there - other person can both hear and smell, which is just terrible no matter how comfortable you are with your partner.

Excellent boutique hotel with all the amenities

The Hobo Helsinki was an amazing boutique hotel. It had beautifully appointed, clean, and comfortable rooms with a lovely en suite bathroom, incredible staff, terrific environmental sustainability efforts in house, a truly expansive and delicious breakfast buffet, strong in hotel security access that was also easy to deal with, and the best location - right downtown, simply a five minute walk from the central train station and near to buses, light rail, and metro. I simply cannot recommend it enough.

Top notch location, couldn’t be beat. So much around, right in the center of things. All the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. Great breakfast buffet! Bathroom wonderful, loved the extra touches like slippers and umbrellas. Luggage storage helped too. Hip and trendy decor was fun.

Amazing place. So clean and perfect location. The gym was fantastic. Probably the best I have seen in any hotel. Breakfast was delicious and with so much variety. The front desk receptionist was not great. ( I arrived at 11 and my room wasn’t ready yet) He could have been more friendly but otherwise I would stay here again and recommend it to everyone

Hobo Helsinki was great for a short stay but if I was to do a longer stay, I’d expect some more amenities and improvements to take the experience from great to excellent. Good: Good location Fantastic breakfast with lots of options including vegan and gluten free, as well as local specialities Lovely design of the hotel common areas and is it design-forward Had a lovely negroni and pizza from the restaurant Friendly team Luggage storage downstairs is self service which is appreciated Quiet hotel Could be improved: Bins - there is only one tiny bin in the bathroom which is not enough - there should be one in the main room or in the corridor to help guests recycle or get rid of rubbish daily (without having to request a clean) Having a safe in the room to store valuables Having smart TVs for screen sharing, streaming services or more English language channels. The only English language channel that worked for my room was National Geographic and I was unable to screen mirror from my phone to the TV to watch Netflix. More information on arrival / check in (telling me check out times etc) would have been helpful - or this information could be in the room Having a small fridge in-room would have been appreciated if it had been a longer stay for water etc

The Hotel is nicely centrally located and convenient. Breakfast was fine. The room I stayed in was chilly. Adjusting the thermostat didn’t seem to help. The only minus of the stay was the lack of a bidet. A bidet is quite important for travelers.

Great hotel and the very best breakfast

We enjoyed our 3 nights and 4 days stay in Hobo Hotel Helsinki. Large room has a free use of the Allas Pool which our kids enjoyed a lot. The staff who welcome us in our stay was superb, we will definitely come again.

Great for short stay in Helsinki

My sister and I stayed for 2 nights and we upgraded from a Hobo Sleeper to a Hobo Double the day before we checked in as were given a good offer and we liked the idea of extra space. It is well located, only a 10min walk from the train station, plenty of food options within a short walk and most of the usual tourist attractions. Staff were friendly at check in and the room was clean. The breakfast offered by the hotel had lots of good options and was tasty. We'd stay again.

The DJ playing music Friday night was outstanding on the Finnish National day in the lobby bar. A lot of real plants in the hotel love that Nice colours and design in general, great photo machine by the reception. At breakfast a bit of a military behaviour when we were told to leave the breakfast table by 11 o’clock sharp.

The property was very clean, nicely presented and staff werw excellent. They just ran out of T Bags :)

Trendy and youthful hotel right in the city centre. Shopping all around and within walking distance of majority of sights.

The shower was amazing!
