Good service but location is a big minus

Good conditions and rooms

Room is very spacious and everything is in good condition. The only 2 minor issues are poor TV remote reception and relative slow shower head. Food at breakfast and the Japanese restaurant attached was great. Staff was helpful and friendly. I didn't have time to enjoy the gym unfortunately. The hotel is not close to metro stop so getting around could be a bit uneasy. It is just 15 minutes away by taxi from SHA airport so this is a big bonus point if you are flying with this airport. Overall, I enjoy the stay very much.

Nice hotel with very spacious rooms. I suggest they put instruction of how to operate the blind in the room. I had to go to the front desk to get someone to help me close the blind with a remote control. The room phone did not work that is why I had to go down to get help

First trip post Covid

Finally a business trip to China after Covid. Great room, very spacious. Comfortable bed. Seems the staff constantly trying to upsell anything. ordered double scotch at the bar and was barely a single, no rocks to hid in. Getting a taxi in Shanghai has gotten to be a real headache and they hotel didn’t have much luck either. Breakfast buffet was excellent

The room was small, low floor, no privacy and smell smoking

Customer service by Tom duty manger was amazing and his crew was so polite. He made my trip so comfortable . Great customer service.

Wonderful Hospitality

My second time staying here and the service, hospitality and overall ambience of the hotel was still great.

Absolutely wonderful, albeit not that convenient. Everything was top notch and you can always just hop in a taxi to go to where you want to.

No hot water at 2am. Showering with cold water made me sick. Ordered a room with single king bed but got one with 2 single beds.

Please give us a voucher of limousine service for double confirmation, not only talking.

Carpet smell is very bad, not clean room, bad service

Basic room was fine. Pricy breakfast option. A little far from public transportation. But nice garden area, and away from high traffic road.

All good but bad taxi service

Other services are very good. Only, the helper who holds the taxi is very rude and unkind. As a result, the overall image of the hotel is very bad. He yelled at my business partner twice to move the car. Now he does not want us to stay in this hotel. We often come to Shanghai to meet him. This is the fourth time this year. I feel very sorry for the hotel image being bad because of one person.

Hilton Hongqiao

Stayed in Tower 1, twin room which is starting to look dated and lingering cigarette smoke smell. Whilst all contact with staff pleasant and helpful, the actual location of the hotel is underwhelming, in a non descript suburb with not a great deal nearby in terms of restaurants etc. Exacerbated by the fact unable to use hotel bar facilities on 2 of the nights, as closed off for a private corporate function. I stayed here to access a conference close to Hongqiao airport, but might have just as well stayed somewhere interesting and much more luxurious around the city centre area for the same price (paid close to $400 pn - hotel was busy), as the commute by cab into the airport each morning was 30 - 45 mins due to the volume of traffic. A metro into the city would have been similar journey time. Would not recommend, unless you particularly want to stay at a Hilton and need to be in this specific area.

Was a great stay. Only downside was that the safe in my room did not work. Other than that, every else were great.

its horrible ! house keeping coming knocking on the door at 7:15 am asking for house keeping .this is crazy . when I had lunch the service is so so slow !

convenience always. but, this time I felt too much guest in the hotel. so, hotel staffs cannot serve each guests properly....

Wifi won't connect. Ethernet cable in room doesn't work. Light switches in room don't work. A worn out hotel. Light switches in room don’t work so they wired the entire building for one light switch in each Room that turns on everything or nothing. Also Wi-Fi doesn't work and they know ur, but neither does the winner in the room, and once in room no cell service until you go outside.

Comfort room and reasonable price for business trip. Good breakfast as well.

Nice hotel and good price. We asked for a spare bed which was provided for free. The only negative point is that the hotel id far from the city centre and the closest train station is 2km from the hotel.

No free parking

Previously when i stayed in the hotel, i got few hours free parking for my friend who visited me. However this time the reception told us there is mo free parking at all.

Great place

Overall, this was a great place to pick for a stay conveniently located close by Shanghai Jiaotong and Hongqiao Airport. The place is spacious, and the hotel is quite clean. The customer service is superb, too.

Excellent hotel

Love the service. I had a few packages delivered prior to arrival and they were already waiting in my room when I walked in to my surprise. The breakfast was great and I hear that the seafood buffet dinner was also excellent but didn't get a chance to try it. The hotel is superb in every way except the wireless is not tolerable in this day and age. It's super slow and laggy, even during late night hours. On top of that you have to pay for the upgraded speed. The public wifi in the lobby is much faster than the in-room upgraded wifi, but it's not suitable to do work.

Great hotel, close to the HongQiao Airport, excellent for biz travel, however printing in business center is not cheap.

Nothing to do nearby and no plce to get a coffee after the concession closes at the lobby. You may get the same coffee togo for doubled price at the bar.

I only got confused about the elevator. My room was in the 9th floor but my key started with #10. So i got "stuck" in the elevator for 5 minutes. Until someone told me what to do (press 1st floor). Other than that, it was a good night stay. I enjoyed the bar at night and breakfast was top notch. The room was superbly appointed.

Great bang for the buck. Room was big and ceilings were vaulted. For the price, I hardly doubt anywhere else in Shanghai can top this. The location was a bit far off from the city center but if you like the Gubei area then it's the best choice. Only down side was the poor wifi connection that kept breaking up every 30 minutes.

My room was in condition and hotel staff were quite helpful to find taxi everytime. Only thing I unlike was its location quite far away from putong exhibition center.

Very clean rooms to relax and do office works after hours. Heater wasn't strong enough to make your room any warmer than 23 deg. cel.

Spacious rooms

Rooms are nice and spacious. However, heating was a bit much which wasn't very comfortable at times. Service too was affected due to the difficulty in the staff understanding English language.

The staffs were excellent, hotel rooms were huge and clean. I don't know what else to say. Just a excellent 5 star hotel. Will definitely come back next time when i visit Shanghai again.

An oasis in shanghai.

I had an amazing stay . The service was excellent the room was spectacular I was exhausted from a long trip and it was the perfect place for me to stay . They graciously allowed me to extend my stay without charging Me. It will be my go to Hotel every time I stay in Shanghai .

Overall a good hotel to stay

By the time I checked in, the room was not ready. I had to wait at the lobby without knowing how long I was going to wait. They offered me to late check out at 14:00. There were no coffee or tea bags at the room.

Pillows like cotton wool....:(

The pillows are way too soft and had a hard time sleeping....:( Blanket are not cost at all, felt like a dry cloth. Will be back only if pillows are changed or added.

NIce- good Hotel for a stay

It is about 1 hour west by Taxi ($200 local currency cab fare) from Pugong airport - close to the other airport in Shanghai. Meals are expensive in comparism to other locations- about 15 minute walk there are 30 restaurants. Overall good stay - no hot water in the shower .

A/C not working in room

Rated a four for comfort because our air conditioner was not working and it was difficult to communicate with hotel staff about the problem. They sent a technician up to our room to repair the air conditioner with no resolve to our problem. Otherwise, the accommodations were nice and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious with a lot of variety to choose from.

A very busy hotel . Always long line up at front desk . Service are poor, but location is great if you have to catch early flight at Hong Qiao airport in the morning . 15 mins by taxi to Hong Qiao airport .
