Good hotel if you don't need to be in the centre

Great.

Reasonable hotel with friendly staff

Hotel is a nice peaceful location though far from city centre. Tram station is 2-3 minutes walk which is very convenient, and takes to city centre and market place where you can get boat and cruises. The staff at reception especially Anna and Milia were very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping services were prompt. In the twin room the single beds are quite narrow. Ambience of the room is tired, there was no slippers or gown, shower cap etc as you would expect in a good 4 star hotel. Rooms do not have A/C and was quite warm during the night. Staff provided a fan. Breakfast had good variety but the quality could be improved. Shower cubicle in the bathroom had water leaking to the main bathroom floor making it wet and slippery. Hotel staff they were not able to fix it.

Looks OK, but need to pay attention to the details. This is a Hilton afterall. Would be nice to have some options to eat. All I saw was some chocolate and coffee at reception. There were a couple of sandwiches on the last day, but I had already eaten by then. I was there on business, not holiday, so after a long trip, or a long day working, it's nice to be able to come back to the hotel knowing that I can find some food. If I was on holiday I would likely have picked somewhere in town and gone out for food, but I didn't have time for that. From what I saw, many other guests were in the same situation. I ended up faffing around for an hour or two with various "uber eats" type apps until I was able to get one to work and finally able to find something. Also, need to pay attention to the details eg. in the room. A tea spoon to go with the kettle/tea making facilities; A curtain that closes; a bin liner for the bin; a heater that heats up before you sleep, not 6 hours later - requiring you to then wake up and open the window....just to name a few. The hotel itself does look good with some nice features, but some improvements would be welcome

Miss-sold a nights stay

We booked this hotel as the last night of a Finland holiday because the food and restaurant were so highly recommended. At check-in we were informed that the restaurant was closed and that food was only available from the lobby bar. It was literally a bar menu, so we ended up with burger and chips!! Not what we had expected. My main complaint is that no-where prior to arriving was there any information that the restaurant was closed. Surely a reputable company would have informed customers, and that its only rip-off companies that promise one thing and leave the customer with no option but to accept much less!! I thought the Hilton was the former and not the latter. Very disappointing

The hotel is quiet and eco-friendly. The area is beautiful and great for walk and swim. I was a bit disappointed by the beach: it was a bit dirty, but I think it's not the hotel' fault.

Great Breakfast. Beatifull surraundings. I have been staying and enjoying this hotel 4 times (1 or 2 rooms during 6-14 nights). I would like to stay here again next year, but thwre is one crucial problem. Aur Condition is working in the Lobby, Restaurant, corridors, but NOT in the rooms. If this issue will not be fixed you can't take the risk of staying there during summer.

Beautiful winter days in Kalastajatorppa

Great natural environment. More spacious rooms than in most other higher end hotels in Helsinki. Nice views even in basic rooms. If you don’t need to choose a center hotel for schedule reasons, do consider this one. It is built in the 70s and has that vibe, but still I think it is one of the best value for money offerings in Helsinki. Breakfast had all the basics, but on second day the offering wasn’t as good as the first (Monday vs Tuesday, probably less visitors). Extra thanks for fresh cut fruits (especially pineapple etc) which always distinguishes a better breakfast from a bulk one. Service very friendly and attentive, breakfast butler had a wonderful touch.

We are staying at this specific hotel for the 3rd time, and it is always great. Nice rooms, great breakfast, very safe surroundings, a few meters from the sea (almost private beach).

Mistakes in bills

The hotel is located next to the sea, great view, and very nice neighbourhood. But the hotel has over charged me twice, once in the restraraunt, and once when I check out. They actually charge for pets but when they confirm my booking, they didn't mention it at all. In the restraraunt, they give me a big bill for no reason, I had to ask the waitress what's this and that for. Not very pleasant. The service is a little slow. Everything else is fine.

We loved the service. Friendly and helpful. The property around the hotel was beautiful too.

Bad experience

Not worth what it paid

Really worth the penny to pay for the seaview. Recommend taking a walk in the neighbourhood.

A winter weekend

Hotel could do with an update but very clean and bed was excellent , staff wonderful, Sunday brunch amazing, beautiful setting, spectacular views, very peaceful. hank you for a complete battery recharge !

i expected more

Famous place with histo, wanted to check it out. Nice breakfast.Lovely view from the room. The sound proof was week, you could hear everything from the corridor and when other rooms doors open and close. The swimming area needs updating.

First time, will stay again!

First time to this Hilton, this was a good Hilton which is always guaranteed! Check-in was good, Room was perfect and bed comfy. Bar area near water was nice too. Breakfast was excellent. Will stay here again in the future. Regular Business Traveller

The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. Extras, such as bottles of water, food, alcohol are extremely expensive.

Mahtavaa!

Had a fantastic weekend made so much better by this great hotel and excellent staff. Loved every second!

The location was fantastic with an unbelievably wonderful view of the the sea inlet. The staff were very helpful especially those on the reception desk, in particular Justus who deserves a special mention.

Worst Hilton in the world that I have stayed . And I’ve stayed in so many

Property is quite old and run down. Even though our stay was at the beginning of September, temperatures in the room ( sea facing) was warm and the thermostat control was not working. The windows could be opened but insects would fly in hence it was not too pleasant. Shower stall was very small and did not provide enough space to move in. The breakfast selection was varied & good and sauna/swimming pool facilities uncrowded which enabled relaxation & enjoyment.

Two nights by the Baltic

Very pleasant hotel, some distance outside of Helsinki city centre - took 30 mins by tram. Lovely views out to sea and enjoyed great sunsets. Hotel has its own tiny beach. Staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times.

The hotel has a UNIQUE location, next to the sea. Our room had a spacious balcony and all the amenities were top class. The breakfast buffet is spectacular, the bar nice etc. etc.

Bad, old, dirty, expensive, unfriendly

Dirty, old, run down and expensive for what it is. No toiletries even should be in the room. Need to ask for toiletries, but it is a 4+star hotel! Bathrobe is for 10eur in standard room, again should be free at 4+star hotel! Water is 6 eur for 1 small bottle in a standard room or if not a member. Breakfast area is too small. Swimming pool is a puddle for kids and mildew is in bathrooms too! Private beach is 5 m sand pad, do not expect much! Could not check in early at 11am before 2pm even rooms were available, because of hospitality lack of Finnish front desk staff! Food is ok, variety, but presentation is sloppy. The only good thing about this hotel are the green pine trees, birches and other trees around with calm atmosphere and no traffic, noise. Tennis court is available, maybe for a fee. Tram 4 goes directly to city center...overall, I would NOT stay again or not suggest to anyone, as this place is overpriced, unfriendly, old and dirty!

The green areas around rhe hotel were poorly maintained, this in comparison to the munkiniemi area parks and green areas which seem to be maintained to a far higher standard.. normally would expect it to be other way round.

Cannot ask for more~

Beautiful hotel with wonderful reception staffs(Nicholas, Tony...thank you!!!). Nice breakfast and easy transport to city center with tram no.4 which is just around the corner. Had a great 7days of stay.

The location of the hotel is fantastic to go anywhere by tram in Helsinki. It takes 3-4 minutes to the tram station from the hotel so that you can enjoy urban and city life in Helsinki. Also, breakfast is so good to enjoy it while staying at the hotel.

Fire alarm wake up call

I was looking forward to this hotel. It was my last stop before flying back to Oregon. The commute from the airport was relatively easy. We took the I train to Huopalahti. Then took bus 552 to the stop about a 7 minute walk from the hotel. When we walked up to the hotel we were amazed! It was right by the lake, and there were lots of activities to do. It was clean looking. We explored the property for awhile, and then decided to go eat dinner. We ended up eating at the restaurant on the property. We chose to eat outside, the waiter got our orders, and gave us our drinks. Then time was going by, everyone was getting their food, except for us. An hour went by. Still no food. Eventually our waiter noticed. Went to see what happened. They missed our ticket. After a half hour more we finally got our food. He gave us free drinks as well. We are, then went back to the hotel where the fire alarm was going off. People were still inside. The staff didn’t know why it was going off. The fire department cane and turned it off. We went back to our room. I decided to shower. Water got everywhere. The seal on the bottom wasn’t good, but there’s a drain for this reason. Went to sleep. Was awoken at 6:30 a.m. by a loud speaker telling me they were going to test the fire alarm, and it was a drill. I understand testing it, but 6:30 a.m.???? Ridiculous. Beautiful hotel, but it was a terrible one night stay. Not sure if I’d go here again.

Excellent service and location, but not a Hilton

The location of the hotel is excellent, tram and busses take you to the city center if needed, but around the hotel you are completely surrounded by nature: sea, trees and small islands, such as Seurasaari. I really loved the location and the service was excellent, as was the breakfast - they also have super food section with plenty of gf options. But I must say that the hotel itself is rather worn out and rooms are soulless. The beach and sauna area could be so much better taken cared of -now it was somehow completely forgotten area (untidy and unpleasant) and that is such a waste! The location next to the sea is what makes this hotel so special but it is not emphasised at all. Only the service made me feel that I was in Hilton, nothing else, so am really hoping renovations and improvements could be made, to really make this a proper Hilton!

Filthy, did not want to give breakfast said it is not written. Did not want to show me prof even when on my voucher from you was written breakfast. We demanded a different hotel as also the lobby was very dirty. Entrance to rooms had cob webs on door corners from the entry to room on most doors. Also air conditioner did not work. "we do not open under 22 digress"

It was a beautiful room overlooking the islands .... riding the bicycle was a great way to see the area . The staff was courteous helpful and professional . The pickled herring was heavenly .....And the lingonberry and Turkish yogurt was out of this world

They did not except the breakfast including. Every where we looked was dirty even cobwebs on front of most doors and dirty and dust of days. We had to insist on changing the hotel. Air-conditioned was not working at all. They said "NO NEED FOR AIR CONDITIONER UNDER 21 DEGEES".

Quiet and fancy neighborhood

Amazing location in the wonderful neighborhood of Munkkiniemi, with very happy to help staff and gorgeous views.

What a hotel is meant to be like!

This is a fantastic hotel with a high standard of service. The location is superb and we had a room overlooking the sea with lovely sunset views! The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was incredible with a plentiful supply of everything to suit all tastes.

Loved the proximity to the lake and the natural area. Also loved the beautiful houses in the quiet neighborhoods surrounding the hotel.

Great location with free parking and right on the lake.

Lovely hotel in great location. Room was good but the only negatives are the lack of USB charging points and the TV which is far too big. Sauna, pool, and gym available as well as an opportunity to hire bikes and scooters. Not in city centre but tram stop is a block away. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast bar will keep you full tor hours.

Arrived early to book in. Had to wait till after 2pm so had a tea/coffee at the bar looking over the ocean. On our return we we were told that we have been upgraded. Our room looked over the ocean which was a big bonus. Room was lovely and we enjoyed our stay very much.

One big problem

all green except one red, in that I was put in a ground floor room in the land of the midnight sun where everyone outside could look into my room - so either this or draw the curtains and no view - very annoying. I would like a response from the hotel

Perfect setting, great location & good atmosphere.

Quiet and comfortable

Very quite, comfortable, close to the sea front, so we had a nice stroll in the evenings. Close to the tram stop, as well. We found a nice bistro called Maria with good home cooked food, opposite the Alepa supermarket. Overall, Really tranquil. Very helpful staff. However, I expected a higher standard. In the shower, we found a used plaster and, on the windowsill, there was a dead bumble bee that was not removed for the whole stay.

Older hotel but well kept up. Modern bathrooms. Absolutely beautiful area, next to ocean. Good for walkers and runners. Sauna is excellent And swimming pool. Rooms are not small at all. Breakfast is very good.

Awful pool and spa opening times.

Excellent location, nice hotel, lovely staff and amazing breakfast. Cleanliness of the room was impeccable, however the cleanliness of the spa facilities left more to be desired! Also,the pool opening times are quite inconvenient; 6-10 and 5-10, meaning we had to plan our day around the pool times. Also there are separate saunas so not great to enjoy as a couple. Overall good stay, but would look for somewhere different due to the reasons mentioned earlier.

Nice hotel, but terrible bed.

The hotel was great with a couple of exceptions. One being the most important, the bed, which was so uncomfortable that I was in pain after just the first night and lost a ton of sleep. Even after not sleeping on the overnight flight, I could not sleep on that bed. The only difference between the bed and the floor was the bed had sheets on it. The second issue was the shower door did not keep the water inside the shower so a small lake formed in the bathroom while taking a shower. I notified the staff about this, but it wasn't repaired during our stay. Other than these issues, the hotel is very nice and clean. The room was spacious especially for a European hotel. It was nice to come back and not feel like we were inside of a closet. Having a refrigerator was also nice to have some cold waters ready.

The property was gorgeous!! Under ground tunnel to a super clean and luxurious sauna and pool area. Only negative was in the room, the bathroom had a lip in and out that was easy to stub toes on. The shower was narrow and hard to manuaver in if you wanted to shave and everything, even water, you had to pay for.

Lovely stay in a beautiful environment. Great attention to detail and to the kids!

Comfy stay

Nice hotel, spent just one night. Too far from the city center but it was okay.

Beautiful serine hotel. Staff friendly and food was delicious. Hard to control the heating but apart from that everything was great.

Lovely experience

We were here on honeymoon, got a free upgrade to a deluxe room! Lovely sea view from the room, cosy bed and armchairs. Service was great; when we noted that there were no tea bags in our room, they instantly brought ten varieties!

Hotel is very tired, rooms old and not the cleanest. Food and drinks a bit expensive. Not the standard that I normally get at a Hilton hotel.

Hiljainen ja rauhallinen hotelli. Huikea maisema merelle auringonlaskuun. Siisti ja miellyttävä huone. Lämmin parkkihalli. Ei kerrassaan mitään huonoa sanottavaa.

Prachtige plek in Helsinki!

Jouluateria maistuva. Henkilökunta ei ollut kiinnostunut viini tai muusta tarjoilusta. Yöpyminen ok. Hienoa Helsingissä maksuton autopaikka. Hotelli on ok.

Hieno vanha hotelli ja säilytetty ajaton ilme. Aina rauhallinen. Mainio aamiainen. Ystävällinen henkilökunta vastaanotossa ja aamiaistilassa. Rauhoittava ympäristö ja ilmainen pysäköintipaikka löytyy läheltä.

Kerran käy, ei pakosti toista kertaa.

Hotelli alkaa olemaan rempan tarpeessa. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä. Siisteys on kyllä aika alapäässä, pöytä oli huoneessa likainen ja pölyjä ei ole pyyhitty. Muuten kulkuyhteydet kohtuu hyvät. Tyynyt oli helkkarin epämukavat, yksi liian matala ja kaksi liian korkeat, oli vielä pitkiä.

Huone muuten kunnossa, mutta WC oli siivottu huonosti, paha haju. Hyvä aamupala.

Huone oli siisti ja sänky sopivan pehmeä. Isot tuplatyynyt tekivät nukkumisesta miellyttävää. Koirat huomioitiin mukavasti ja hotellin ympäristössä oli hyviä lenkkeilymaastoja. Sijainti upea!

Klassinen majapaikka hieman etäällä keskustasta

Hyvä, amerikkalaistyylinen hotelli hienolla sijainnilla, mutta hieman kaukana keskustasta. Huoneet tilavia ja puhtaita, aamiainen loistava, henkilökunta ystävällistä.

Hotellbesök i höstrusk

Det var en mycket regnig oktoberkväll som jag anlände till hotellet. Hotellet var rent, stiligt och mycket pampigt! Tacknämligt med tanke på vädret, var att det fanns tunlar insprängda i berget, till både conferensavdelningen och bastuavdelningen vid stranden. Jag provade bastun och simbassängen. Man skulle ta med hotellets nyckelkort till bassängen, då man gick från bastun. Annars kunde man bli utlåst. Bastuavdelningen var ren, men kändes ganska föråldrad inredningsmässigt. Rummet var riktigt bra! Det fanns vattenkokare i rummet. Sängen var den hårdaste hotellsäng jag någonsin har sovit i. Trots det sov jag gott. Morgonmålet var riktigt bra!

Hyvät unet, oli vähän väkeä hotellissa . Peti ei ihan niin hyvä kuin muistin. Kova.

Todella mukava ja hiukan jopa luksusmainen hotelli. Aamiainen oli ehkä elämäni parhaimpia mitä syönyt ikinä!

Veldig gode senger, greit trimrom, nydelig frokost og topp beliggenhet! Veldig god mat i restauranten som har ypperlig utsikt og middag i solnedgangen anbefales!

Fin miljö lite utanför Helsingfors citykärna med bra kommunikationer. Mycket hjälpsam och bra personal!

6 euro water bottle

Stay was nice and the location is great. Room was spacey and sea view magnificent. Swimming in the sea was the cherry on top. Yet the thing that is on the top of my mind after the stay is the 6 EUR water battle - it was left at the table like many hotels leave those as a courtesy and we drank those. However, once we checked out it appeared that on the TV's welcome screen (which we never really looked at) had been said that it is free only for the Hilton's preferred quests which we were not, but for others 6 EUR. First world problem and we are not going to bankcruptcy, I know, but still it leaves you a feeling you've been cheated to buy something you would not have bought if it would have been clear that it costs 6 EUR.

Fiskis loistaa aina!

Kalastajatorppa eli Fiskis on kesämökkini! Sijainti on Helsingin kauneinta, tilat hienot. Huoneet ovat todella isoja ja viihtyisiä. Hotellin väki on todella mukavaa, on kuin kotona olisi. Ulkoilumahdollisuudet ovat täydelliset, Nelosen ratikalla pääsee mukavasti keskustaan ylellisen aamiaisen jälkeen.

Todella hieno ja hyvä hotelli Helsingin reissua varten. Vähän syrjässä mutta se onkin tämän hotellin hienous 👌

Huone oli kohtuu siisti, joskin nuhruinen ja huoneessa olleet pari juomalasia likaisia. Sänky on kivikova, mutta tietysti ok, jos sellaisesta pitää. Henkilökunta ystävällistä ja aamiainen hyvä.

Taattua Hiltonia

Taattua Hilton laatua. Hieman oli kuuma yöllä, muuten kaikki hienosti.

På gå-afstand af en dejlig strand, Munkkiniemie, med omklædningsrum og bruser. Hotellet havde cykler, man gratis kunne låne i op til 3 timer, og ellers har HSL cykeludlejning via app'en, så man kan komme vidt omkring. Vidundelig morgenmadsbuffet og så venlig service

Upea hotelli upeassa paikassa. Raitiovaunulla pääsee lähelle. Aamupala hyvä ja palvelu pelasi

Vi hadde et flott opphold her. Store fine rom. Praktisk om man ønsker å bo litt utenfor sentrum uten trafikk og annet støy. Trikk til sentrum kun en kort spasertur unna. Fint turområde.

Riemu loma lasten kanssa

Ihan loistavassa miljöössä yöpyminen lasten kanssa. Lapset tykkäsivät erityisesti mukavista lakanoista ja hotelli aamiaisesta.

Hieno sijainti, kauniit näköalat, ihana henkilökunta ihan hotellin jokaisessa paikassa. Kiva saunaosasto ja huone oli tyylikäs ja raikas.

Vanha mutta siisti

Hotelli kulunut mutta siisti. Aamupala erinomainen. Uima-altaalta/saunalta pääsee suoraan mereen uimaan. Hyvät ulkoilumahdollisuudet

Lempparihotellimme kaipaisi kasvojenkohotusta

Kalastajatorppa on aina hyvä valinta, missä palvelu pelaa ja mukana on pientä luksusta. Toivottavasti kiinteistön kuntoon alettaisiin kiinnittää parempaa huomiota, jotta myös Suomessa vierailevat ulkomaalaiset turistit saisivat paremman kuvan maastamme. Pienelläkin fiksauksella olisi mahdollista tehdä paljon. Arvokas Fiskis ansaitsisi pienen kasvojenkohotuksen.

Hyvä hotelli mukavalla alueella

Hotellin omaa uimarantaa oli rempattu ja parannettu, mikä oli todella positiivinen juttu. Oli tuotu rantahiekkaa ja tehty ja kunnon portaat, mahtavaa. Aamupala on erittäin hyvä ja monipuolinen, palvelu erinomaista. Huone on tilava ja siisti, ja ilmastointi toimi hyvin, myös koiralla oli mukavat oltavat huoneessa. Sängyt ovat hieman liian kovat meidän makuumme, unen laatu jäi siksi vähän huonoksi. Huoneen sohva ja nojatuoli olivat parhaat päivänsä nähneet. Kylpyhuone on upea, mutta hieman hämärä ja veden paine olisi voinut olla hiukan parempi. Saunaosasto ja sisäuima-allas plussaa. Muutamasta miinuspuolesta huolimatta olimme oikein tyytyväisiä hotelliin ja tulemme varmasti uudelleen.

Erinomainen kokemus, huone ihanan tilava. Kylpyhuoneessa oli ikävä haju (vähän kuin joku olisi pissannut ohi pöntön). Muuten kaikki todella hyvin ja tykätty. Aamupalalla hyvin evästä myös vegaaneille, puoliso jäi haaveilemaan vegaanisten lettujen perään.
