Hotel was closed due to flooding. NO CALL, NO NOTIFICATION HOTEL WAS CLOSED UNTIL WE PULLED UP!!!!! Ended up at a whole other hotel who luckily had a room for us. Terrible customer service!

The motel was closed due to flooding and I wasn’t informed. I hope I wasn’t charged

Fire department evacuated the building. Wasn’t able to stay. Still haven’t been refunded as promised.

Walked into the room - toilet had toilet paper in it, eye lash (fake one) on the sink - overall not clean feeling after that. Checked for bed bugs and knew we only had time for a nap before leaving for the airport - made the best of it. Wouldn’t recommend!

The property was horrible. Plastic folding chairs and plastic folding tables with plastic cloths for lobby furniture. Room keys had not been working for days, so staff needed to escort every guest to their room. I tried to cancel on arrival and they would not let me. I called Expedia and got 2 of 3 rooms refunded by EXPEDIA, but the property would not issue refund. Then the property charged me for the 3rd room after all. To top it off, the property managers lied and told Expedia we had all stayed in our rooms...none of us had, and one guy never even made it to the hotel in the first place! Horrible experience and we went across the street to a much-better Fairfield Inn.

The walls in the bathroom needed to be wiped down. They had a build up of dirt and grime from other patrons. The staff was nice, doors were not working when we stayed and they were honest and helpful

We booked a two night stay to experience the local flavor of Chezc Village in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. One of the selling points was an indoor pool. It was closed for maintenance. I asked the Clerk at the desk, no discount! One of the main reasons we booked that hotel is so I could exercise my bad knee in the pool(hydrotherapy).let potential guests know they are paying for amenities that aren’t available!

Pool was down for “cleaning” both days. TV didn’t work. Room was really small so the window was tucked in the corner behind the desk. Our particular room had the head of the bed against the wall with the back of the elevator so we heard that all night.

Very nice property. Business Center and Fitness Center were both under construction, but hotel was good for the cost.

We were happy with our room and would stay again. The breakfast was decent, the bed was comfy, and the staff was friendly. No complaints.

The lady at the desk was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and kept well stocked.

A run down hotel, three of the four lights in the bathroom were out??? Very surprised by all of this as Hampton Inn is our go-to hotel chain when in need of a good basic and economical overnight stay.

Stopped by for a night's stay! NIce clean hotel with good breakfast! would come back!

Room was very clean, nicely stocked and very quiet.

We have stayed at Hamptons in the past and this location did not meet the quality standards. The dining area had plastic covered plywood with folding chairs and worn and old furniture, which gave it a very cheap and uncomfortable feel. What is it? Very disappointing.

Unfortunate Stay

Unfortunately I have little good to say about this Hampton. Small, old, run down. Even the sign outside only said Ham nn. We were schedule for Wed-Sun, but checked out on Thursday and took a $600 non refundable loss in order to check in at another hotel. Avoid at all costs.

Had trouble with the tv in the room not working. Staff had us change room. Staff was very nice. Will stay there again

The front desk receptionist was great. Recognizing there was a large group of nominally supervised teenagers, she ensured our room was a different floor on the opposite side of the hotel.

Good nice place to stay if you need to stay to visit CR area.

What was unacceptable was the unbelievably cramped room. Two double beds (not queen) completely filled the room. One could not get to the closet area if someone was seated at the desk. There was no chair in the room besides the desk chair. I have been a longtime Hampton customer but this property is off my list.

It was a good stay, beds were a bit on the stiff side. Some type of construction was happening outside that we were not aware of and water got shut off in the middle of my shower. Had to wait for water to be turned back on. All they did was offer a late check out time, but we understand it was the city’s fault. There was also exposed wires near bed, a bit worried with our kids in the room. Overall, it was a good stay, just minor headaches.

The air unit was not working in the room I was in. And disappointed that the pool was closed.

I got to my room kind of late so I didn’t check the bathroom very well. The tissue container had dust and hair on it. The bottles of hand soap and body lotion were dirty and had hair on it. Then the bottles in the shower are the same way with hair on it and it wasn’t mine. When I put down the toilet seat it was dirty.

Wouldn't want to be forced to stay elsewhere

Nice stay !

This is our second time staying here. Clean rooms and was quiet, staff is friendly. Will be excited to see new pool area and seating area when finished.

Frustrated trip

Things were not as indicated, pool broken, construction was underway. I was told I could use pool for Grandsons 8th birthday party and when I arrived I was informed that pool was closed.

It was a nice hotel, no problems.

Pleasant stay

The desk attendant was very pleasant, the lobby was clean and decked out for the Christmas season. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. My only complaint was a firm mattress, but for one night it was fine. We all have different preferences so not a huge issue. Breakfast was also good with a good selection to appease even the pickiest eater.

I really liked our room, the staff was excellent. The only things that would be an improvement would be an elevator; Otherwise, the staff and accommodations were great.

We came in very late with a dog, service was great, room was great!!

The room looked brand new like we were the first ones staying in it. Great bfast!

There was no room cleaning during our stay. We were told it is every other day. There were no towel deliveries. Wee were asked to come get them. Ice machine broken. Spa out of order. Closed missing and staff did not know to tell us it was hidden behind the window curtain. Cost $22 plus a night but performed like $50.

The rooms were dirty. No clean sheets and shampoo and soap. Not enough breakfast for the amount of people staying at the hotel. The service was absolutely horrible. The staff working the counter wouldn’t do their job and not willing to help. Asked for the manager to call to resolve the issue and never heard from them. I would rather sleep in my car than go back.

Breakfast was awesome. Rooms clean and recently upgraded. Lobby clean as well. Pool not great.

Room was nice, smaller than usual though. Floor in front of the door was sticky but other than that the room was clean. Website said it had a hot tub but hot tub has not been working for 2 years, since covid.

Soccer Week

There was a lot of young people around about.

The spa was closed, which was not indicated. Sufficient breakfast was not provided. Food ran out before the breakfast was even close to being done and was not refilled despite being asked.

It was marvelous

It was easy to get to, friendly staff and clean facilities, bed was comfortable as well as all of room. Nice workout room and pool. The breakfast was fair to good. However, the hot tub was out of order, I could not get either computer in the office room to connect to the internet and no one knew how to help. Only about half the TV control buttons worked, and the refrigerator did not keep food cool, I suspect the thermostat did not work. No maid service while I was gone but I may have missed some notice and it was no big deal to me. I understand staffing can be an issue. Overall, I was OK to pleased with it, but must remember to call ahead to make sure hot tub works.

Some of the property looked dated and other spaces looked like they had been updated within the last few years. We got to our room and it looked as if it hadnt been cleaned very well. There was dust on the headboard and other varios surfaces. There was hair in the sink and bathtub. The bathroom floor felt as if it was not swept or mopped recently. There was water under the ammenty try in the bathroom (it was clear so very noticeable). When looking at the bed the pillows on one side were very wrinkled compared to the other side and while looking i found hairs on the pillow and in the sheets as if someone had slept there the night before and they did not change the sheets. The alarm clock was sitting odd so i picked it up and there was a chip under it. We went to the desk and shared about the hair in the sheets and the chip. We asked for new sheets or a new room. We were given new sheets and was told there were not other rooms we could move to. We picked this hotel due to the hot tub but it was out of order.

Staff checkin in was only average. Not overly helpful or friendly. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. Me reason we booked this hotel was because it said it had a hot tub. While it had a hot tub it was out of service and has been that way for some time, I was told. After a 700 mile, 12 hour drive I was very much looking forward to a nice hot tub. So if you are looking for a place with a hot tub, look elsewhere.

The men that look like they’re homeless walking around in the parking lot. Window would not lock, very unsafe area!!!

There was a man sleeping in the dining area with no shoes on, feet up on a chair. Very visible to the staff. Didn't feel comfortable at all...

Everything was great, except the jacuzzi was not working. That was a bummer.

Terrible stay. The first room was smelly, the second room was ok but hairs on the sheet, not sure if they changed it. I used my own sheets.

Good value

The wife and I stopped in Cedar Rapids for the night during a business trip. I was pulling a trailer and there was grsat parking. This an older Hampton Inn and the rooms are showing it. Shower was great but the bed was so so. Breakfast was delicious.

Awesome Front Desk

Check in Staff was very quick, efficient and super friendly.

The only bad thing was the hot tub was out of order.

The hotel is older but kept up well. The staff was very friendly and we had the best hotel breakfast we had experienced since pre-Covid. The rooms were clean and quiet. We would definitely book here again. The only downfall was we were in town for a tournament and had been sitting in bleachers all day. We were really looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub but it was broken. Overall, we still really enjoyed our stay.

Check in Room Facility All above were excellent. Finding the toilet paper dispenser roll was difficult! I’m a tall guy 73” and the toilet seemed very low to the ground, was this room built for the vertically challenged?

Property followed recommended precautions re: covid-19.

Nothing unique. The biggest negative was the poor performing A/C unit. It cooled the room, but was unable to remove the humidity. So, we were left with a damp, musty room.

It was a nice, quiet place, well maintained. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of foods.

I liked that there was a designated dog area with dog waste stations. Never seen this at a hotel before.

Ok trip.

Great location. Hotel was well taken care of the only down side was the beds were to firm for me. I understand thats a personal prefrence but i feel it best for a hotel to go for a middle of the road option for beads. The hot tub was out of order so this was a major let down. Other than that it was a ok trip.

Generally fine. Love that the bathrooms have exhaust fans!!! Breakfast was messy, missing items and the sausage gravy was very watery. Over all just OK, but wouldn’t take much effort to be great if they cared.

I was disappointed that the pool and hot tub area was closed for "maintenance". I paid a little bit extra and booked this motel to be able to use the facilities that they advertise. Just guessing but it looked like the pool maintenance may have going on for a while. If you advertise something like a pool but it is not operational it should be posted BEFORE check in. If it is not posted and you don't let the guest know I believe it is false advertising. Perhaps the BBB should look into this.

For being next to the interstate, i felt it was quiet, my husband did not. He said traffic was very loud. The pool and hot tub were out of service due to needing a part, that "didnt come in before the weekend"...... but looked like it had been out awhile. There was a nasty smell getting off the elevator on our floor, like garbage hadnt been change for a month. Breakfast was ok, eggs were always cold, but other things to choose from. It was an ok place if you need to sleep for the night, but i would go somewhere else for a weekend stay like ours.

The hotel was good. The staff very helpful. But when booking the reservation via the Expedia app. I double checked that I booked 2 double beds as I reserved it it said it was 1 king size bed so I reached out to Expedia via app text immediately. I I text with a gentleman from Expedia who then called the hotel and had it switched to 2 double beds. When I arrived to the hotel she said someone from Expedia had switched it back to 1 king size bed. Don’t know why that happened but not happy.

I drove a truck with an attached car trailer. As such, parking could be a challenge at times. Not here. They were incredibly accommodating and parking was a breeze. The lady at the front desk (I didn't get her name), was wonderful. Their included breakfast was terrific as well. If I'm ever in the Cedar Rapids Iowa area again, I'd stay here again without hesitation.
