Good hotel in Gothic Quarter

Raco del Pi is a decent, affordable hotel located in the Gothic Quarter. My 15 year old son and I stayed there for a week over Christmas. The rooms are small but serviceable. The breakfast was limited but helped us get a solid start to our day. We liked the afternoon coffee and sweets in the lounge. We made many simple meals in our room using the small fridge and desk. (The room service is offered from an offsite company and is very expensive. I'd skip it.) Because it was situated in a pedestrian only area, taxis will drop you off many blocks away. When you are tired from travel, this is a little rough. Thankfully Google maps was able to help us navigate the maze of streets to find it. The hotel is well situated near many shops, restaurants, markets, and museums. After a few days, we got pretty familiar with the main routes to the Metro, the grocery store, etc. If you get a room facing the inner courtyard, you don't get a view of the city, but it is likely much quieter. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the location is hard to beat. I would stay there again.

Outstanding! Quaint, convenient and very comfortable boutique hotel in the Gothic area. Service was friendly and accommodating. Room was small but updated and modern including the bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. We highly recommend this hotel.

Great Location

Everything was perfect

Every member of staff was friendly and helpful. Good location with a near straight walk (700m) to the Placa de Catalunya where you can get a bus or metro to almost any part of the city. Or you. An walk around and explore from the hotel door!

After researching for 1st time in Barcelona, I’m so glad I found this gem, perfect location in the heart of Gothic Quarter! Hotel super nice, clean, spacious room, bathroom with double sink and quiet when sleeping! Staff friendly and helpful! Felt very safe outside hotel. Most definitely would come back here again!

Pre-cruise couple’s stay.

Four day stay pre-cruise. Room small, but clean and comfortable. Hotel is in great area. Many shops and places to eat/drink close by. In the afternoon they have complimentary coffee/tea machine and pastry (croissants or similar). Enjoyed our stay.

We’ve stayed at several H10 properties, the location of this one is very central but limited taxi access unfortunately. Clean and safe, but rooms are small in comparison to other H10 properties we’ve visited. The supposed queen size bed is really a matrimonial size bed, the other H10 properties we’ve visited had actual queen size beds. Again, clean and staff were delightful but a bit disappointing compared to our other H10 hotel stays this year.

Great room with a massive balcony, super clean & the AC was blasting. Staff was super nice and there’s a pastry/coffee bar every day. The location is perfect, close to absolutely everything. Quiet room, but a foot away from all the action

It was alright if you want to be in the heart of tourist area. Our room had a ton of ants there was no way of getting rid of them. I did like how they lock their doors at night because the area was a bit sketchy. If I knew beforehand how big of a tourist area this was I would not have stayed here. I will say the property/room was clean (despite the ants) and the staff/housekeeping crew were extremely friendly. Be prepared to be woken up by the seagulls and loud noises at 5am

Better options in Barcelona

Hotel entrance is nice. However room has no windows and was extremely small. Phone didn’t work and neither did the air conditioner

This was a fantastic spot to stay! It is directly around the corner from various food and shopping locations and the room was very comfortable! The surrounding area is easily walkable! The staff were very helpful and all very nice people!

Nice, but had some negatives

Had to be dropped off a few blocks from hotel, so know that that vehicles cannot get you right to the front of hotel. We were charged for 2 rooms. Still working with hotels.com to get refunded. They said there was complimentary coffee, tea and water...nope. Elevator was being serviced the morning of check out, so had to lug bags down 4 flights of stairs. The room was clean. Bed was not comfy. The front desk was helpful apart from the extra room mix up.

The property was very nice, as were all the staff members. We appreciated their helpfulness.

The a/c was out the whole stay. They tried to tell us that it was for Environment. On the 3rd day they admitted it was broken. I would have moved had they been honest.

In the heart of Bari Gotic

This beautiful boutique hotel is right in the center of Bari Gotic area, a few minutes walk from the beautiful Carhedral of Barcelona. All personnel were very pleasant, cheerful and helpful. Room was quite large, very clean with comfortable bed and pillows. Bathroom was sparkling clean with nice towels. No facecloths as per usual in Europe. There are many cafes right near the hotel for morning coffe and pastries. I chose the 18€ per day hotel breakfast which was convenient and fantastic. Hotel very near center of la Rambla, Carthedral, Picasso Museum, bars and restaurants. Wevtook taxis to Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell, and Casa Mila. Highly recommend this hotel!!

H10 offered convenient, clean, and pleasant accommodation in the area near La Rambla. A generalization to be made about Hotels and other Service Industries is that it's "People who make an enterprise a Success". Our stay at H10 in this location proved that axim. All who served the public were most helpful and related in friendly way. Outstanding individuals would be Alvaro and Joan as Front Desk Representatives. The Cafe Service Group was also very effective and efficient in their duties. WWB

Great location for everything

Very convenient location for the Liceu opera house, which was what I needed. Hotel doesn't have a bar, though unusually these days the room does have a fully stocked minibar.

Wonderful small hidden away hotel. Great staff, very helpful. So close to La Rambla but still out the way. Only criticism (and it's a very small one), no tea/coffee in rooms and only available from 1-8pm just off the lobby.

The location of this hotel was perfect. Easy walk to transportation, shopping, parks and restaurants. The concierge could not have been more helpful from taxi reservations, restaurant choices and amenities at the hotel. Will be reserving again in the near future

Loved it!

What a wonderful stay! We came to Barcelona on stop 1 of our honeymoon and Raco Del Pi certainly started us off on the right path! The location is perfect, you’re close to a metro to get out to further sites but in a great location for restaurants, sites, bars, shopping- barely any cars so it’s quiet. La ramblas is right nearby as is reil plaza and other cute small squares and streets. Only thing that’s a bit further is the beach, but if you are not coming to Barca with the beach as a high priority this is the place to stay!! The staff were INCREDIBLE. Every single staff who I saw at the front desk was happy to help with my many many questions and made it a very comfortable stay for us. Thank you to the whole Raco Del Pi team, you guys are awesome :)

The staff (especially Alicia) were efficient and helpful - they helped us navigate the city and even found a restaurant for our us for our anniversary dinner! Two complaints: our mini fridge was not working and it took them two days to get it fixed. Also, our room had a definite sewage smell and we had to keep our windows open daily to alleviate the smell.

Really enjoyed our stay! Staff was great, room was clean and comfortable, location was convenient and off the main road!

Our room was small but very clean. The bathroom was a good size with all amenities included. The breakfast was excellent! Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed at this property 3 days post cruise. It was in a great location, not far from the cruise port. Property was clean and the staff was super helpful and friendly. There was a lovely courtyard in the middle of the property- excellent location for the happy hour they offer. The only thing missing from the room was a coffee maker but coffee was available just off the lobby. I’d stay at this location again and will look at other H10 properties should I happen to be in need of accommodation in other European cities.

Excellent hotel in a quiet spot but close to various bars and restaurants and also the metro for onward travel. Friendly staff, clean rooms and also able to order to gluten free items for breakfast.

A one night stay. Great location. Facilities were great and the room was comfortable and clean. The staff were excellent. Couldn’t have been more helpful.

It is clean and convenient. I love that there are shops, restaurants, and spas available a few steps from the hotel. Staffs are also very friendly. I would stay here again.

The location in Gothic Quarters is great, easy access to metro, buses, and shopping options. The property may not be big but it serves the purpose. They welcome you with drinks and provide tips on navigating the city.

We frequently stay in H10 in Raco del pi. It's in the heart of everything! Just a few minutes in any direction. Great breakfast and knowledgeable staff.

Staff extremely nice and helpful. Communicated well via email about adding guest name to reservation. Cute part of town in barri gotic and a 3 min walk to rambla and metro. Nice breakfast. Room comfortable and bathroom bigger and nicer than most.

Arriving late due to lost luggage, we’re still received with a champagne glass, and necessary toiletries were awaiting in room.

Love the location, so close to everything where the action is, specially for dining attractions and shopping. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful . Bonus part is the massage and nail salon just across the hotel ,4 steps and find a relaxing massge after a long day walk

Conveniently located

Extremely pleasant Front Desk staff. Hotel is less than five minutes from La Rambla and La Boqueria....lots of eateries and shops within a one mile radius.

Disappointing stay

Room had no window. Very small bathroom. Hotel is very conveniently located however it was difficult getting cabs when needed. Ordered a cab twice thru the hotel and they were late both times.

This hotel is in a great location - just a short walk to La Rambla, restaurants, shopping, however it was very quiet. The staff was helpful and friendly. Champagne was offered upon arrival. Room was comfortable and clean.

The staff was extra helpful and friendly. there was some late night noise. I think the rooms could be better insulated. But I would stay again. The location is great with lots of sights, shopping and dining nearby.

H10 Raco is perfect if you want to be in the middle of it all in the Gothic district. From the hotel, you have easy walking distance to the Gothic Quarter, the Rambles and El Born and easy access to the metro for everything else. Thus, you have interesting sites, great restaurants and shopping near by. The hotel is not fancy, but it is clean, comfortable, and well run and a nice, quiet retreat from the bustle outside. The staff were very polite and helpful. Thus, H10 Raco met our needs at a very reasonable price.

The staff were so friendly and helpful and we loved the area around the hotel. Very conveniently located near great restaurants, shops, and the metro.

We arrived very early, but it was no problem to leave the luggage while the room was prepared. Went in to the city and an half an hour later the room was ready. Nice and friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet

Amazing and helpful staff. Very welcoming. Facility is very clean. Rooms are comfortable and also clean. They offer breakfast that you can pay for, there was a way to include the breakfast in my stay but they forgot to explain to me. Everything else very coordinated and good. Only thing that could improve and make the stay even better is more options in the TV. I pretty enjoyed my stay in Barcelona and getting to the hotel to a clean room and nice staff made it even better!

Perfect spot to be in the middle of it all

Wonderful warm welcome by Jordi (who seemed to always be at the front desk) complete with a flute of cava! The check-in process was easy, our room (although small) had a wonderfully comfy bed, TV, minibar and enough room for 3 huge suitcases. Breakfast was lovely with all the cafe con leche you can drink and cooked to order eggs or continental style breakfast. The location in the Gothic Quarter was great including quick access to the Liceu stop on the Metro and ambling down La Rambla. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

The location was near the cathedral and a short walk to the Picasso Museum. There were many nice bakeries just steps from the hotel and sidewalk cafes nearby

Excellent central location in the Gothic quarter with great restaurants and Tapas bars on the doorstep. Although situated right in the centre quiet at night, area safe to amble round at night. Beautiful Church and square around the corner, Barcelona Cathedral closeby also with great view points from the top. Would definitely stay again or recommend.

This hotel was very central for my husband and myself, close to the metro, restaurants, bars, markets and great shops. The staff at this hotel were super, the hotel was spotless, the rooms were cleaned, the bed was changed and towels were changed every day. We will definitely stay here again. We would highly recommend the H10 Raco del Pi.
