Not Happy with Grand Bleu

The room was absolutely dissapointing, Pool was dirty, fridge not opersting door missinf from room, steep hill to get to reception. Not suitable for anyine wishing to have a holiday.I paid 3636.00 for nine nights and never received a refund.

Upon arrival there were many issues. I was very upset. My experience started like this. 1st, I checked in and right away they charged me 2000 “security deposit” then asked to pay for my stay, but I had already paid through Travelocity. After going back and forth they confirmed I had paid. 2nd, they put me in a van and took me to my room 5 minutes away. The girl had like 40 keys and she tried every key and couldn’t open the door. A lady opens the door semi naked. They didn’t know someone was staying there. The lady in the room looked mad and said “the phone doesn’t work, I asked for towels three hrs ago and no one brought them yet.“ So then they told me to wait, the girl left, and came back and said “we are going to put you in another room.” (The room they put me in had insect issues and the guest was moved). There were no towels, phone didn’t work (you had to take a 7 minute hike to the front desk), and the tv did not work. 3rd, they offered free bfast, but it was already included with my reservation. I asked for it at 7 but didn’t bring it until 9. 4th, I went on a trip and when I came back the door was locked and couldn’t access my room. When they opened the main door I found my belongings on a pile outside the room. They said I could stay and 5 minutes later they kicked me out and took me to another room. I paid for ocean view but all you could see was trees. 5th, first 2 days were a nightmare, last 3 were good. Friendly staff, nice room amenities.

The staff sevice was really awesome. The food prices in the resort restaurant were high. Nearby not much eating option. The resort could be maintained more cleaner

disappointing

We were disappointed with our stay. The location is not amazing it’s right at the top of a very steep hill so there’s is literally nothing to do especially at night time,a unless you want to be spending lots on taxis. However this did mean the views were great from the pool in our room. The hotel services were not as advertised either. There was no WiFi in our room, we raised this with reception but they just said there is but will look into it tomorrow not ideal when your checking out tomorrow. We were around a 2/3 minute walk from reception so I believe we were just too far for the WiFi to reach, considering all of our party couldn’t connect to WiFi. They also advertised in the listing as having spa services, they were no existent and seemed to be under renovation, yet this was not stated in the listing and no compensation provided. We paid for an American Breakfast Set, which cost 300 baht. It was very disappointing and not as described. Selection of fruit was just watermelon, it arrived cold, things were missing/wrong, didn’t really resemble an American breakfast - why was there salad? Overall do not recommend getting the breakfast over priced and bad quality so bring breakfast items with you. Most of the hotel staff were very nice and welcoming. However we were not happy being called twice and woken up at half 12 in the morning by reception regarding paying a mini bar bill they had forgotten to give us for 150 baht. Very annoyed as had given 1000 deposit.

Don’t stay here. We had a 3 bedroom pool villa and there wasn’t one thing we liked. The lack of toilet paper, towels, hand towels, robes, tissues, menu or folder of hotel options & services, outdoor furniture etc I can almost accept. But the lack of hotel hygiene and cleanliness and rude and aggressive attitude from the manager and owner is unacceptable from any hotel in the world. I requested a refund after finding the disgusting conditions of the room. The main few issues that turned me off staying here was blood on the bathroom wall, hair on the floors and tic like insects on the kitchen bench to only name a few. This is obviously the standard set by the hotel and having 3 kids with me I wanted out ASAP. The hotel refused any refund and became quite aggressive towards me. I paid $1300 for 3 nights and left after 1 even though I was going to be $860 out of pocket. Also don’t be fooled by the pool aspect of the 3 bedroom pool villa as the pool is only knee deep. The view however was quite good and I feel for some of the staff as they were quite nice. The hotel have of course denied all these claims but they can’t deny the pics that I’ve already forwarded to Expedia. And thanks to Expedia who have agreed to a partial refund. I spent the remaining nights at Remada in Patong which was absolutely amazing in comparison

Not recommended

The hotel was a mess. I wouldn’t give it one star even. I ask for a refund but all what they want is the money. The bed covers after the cleaning, have a blood spots. The service lady stole the money for my breakfast and front desk expect me lying, they insist to cover her up and take my deposit until i start shouting.

Great place to relax from crowded place such as night clubs. we enjoyed the private pool. Food sent to our room was great. Very clean room and comfy bed. The only thing that bad was the taxi trip to the city. 8mins cost us 400baht each trip. if hotel have their own private driver we would have stayed for 5 days instead of 1.

Views - amazing. Hotel - awful

We stayed here as the original hotel we had booked closed due to the weather. If you are not a fan of steep hills then do not stay here at it is at the very top of a very long, high, steep hill. We arrived late due to our flight and the hotel did not help us at all with our bags. The rooms are very nice and are big but you are miles away from anything. Our air con unit was constantly dropping and even though we called reception a number of times, this was never fixed. When we went down for breakfast, it was completely empty and the only option was toast! We were meant to be here for 3 nights but after 1 night we left and went to a different hotel. I would never return here. Save your money

Up on a hill. Must take a taxi to get to a restaurant $13 one way. 2 trips a day $ 52.

Didn’t want to leave

Perfect romantic getaway.

This property is a bit distressed. Up high on a hill that does add a nice view of the ocean in the distance. It is very hard to get to town of Kamala since it is no where near town and cannot walk to town. Dangerous main road with no way to walk. Have to take taxi and quite expensive with taxi mafia. Scooter in this area quite dangerous because main road so busy saw scooter accident on road. Buffet breakfast was decent. Private pool was very nice. If you don’t except a 4 or 5 star hotel you will be ok.

Worst stay i ever had in a hotel

For the first time i wanted to leave a hotel, tats how bad it was...all the furnitures were dirty..but one thing i have to admit is tat the scenary of the mountains and ocean is amazing..i found out that this was a family own hotel, therefore its not your usually hotel service u r use too...there manager is their owner so think for yourself.

it was overall great experience . the hotel need to work on service . the food service including the quality of breakfast and room service order . plus other services .

Overall, it was a nice stay. However, water heater of main bathroom did not work. Need to go to side bathroom when I need a hot shower.

My toilet was clogged. I notified them and they never came to unclog it. Other than that it was a very pleasurable experience.

Great hideaway!

Great place to stay.if you plan on staying in your room for your whole holiday. Walking is impossible.very expensive to get a taxi on and off the hill. No beach.good food

The private pool is with good view but not as clean as we expect. The location of hotel is on the upside mountain so you must rely on taxi.

Has a pool with nice views

Taxi everywhere, it's up a really steep hill so some people will charge 400thb to go to top? 300 from bottom but hotel staff will pick you up from bottom line. Not the ideal place to stay if you want to be out and about everyday. It's quite boring really, bit tired and run down, there is a nice lady named kyem who is back to back with the other guy she's lovely she babysat for me 200thb per hour. We are a family of three my 8 year old loved the pool which was the only reason we chose the place so she could swim. They have a decent size fridge and a kitchenette but they don't supply anything to use the kitchenette for. Actually yes a dinner plate, bowl and cutlery on the table with placemats and a wine opener, 2 glasses and tea cups/teaspoon. Omg the bed is really really uncomfortable you can feel the springs. Restaurant bar is sad they close at 8pm not music going and if you order room service your meal is cold. It was nice having the top floor to ourselfs. At night there's a lot of noise from neighboring places like dogs and water pipes. I'm trying to think of things it's my last day in Thailand. It's close to kamala and siam restaurant is in a resort across from the grand bleu driveway. I give this place a 4 out of 10 because of the pool and the staff. Pool was a bit dirty though. Decor was nice but still not flash like they make out on the websites.

All over great but bed and pillows are too hard

Amazing stay....perfect!

This suite was amazing! Everything about grand Bleu was perfect! Nothing can tarnish it's amazing stay. I have read prior comments regarding tuk tuk not going up due to the hotels hill. However, the walk is 7 minutes from the bottom to the top and is a quick great way to exercise or just pay the tuk tuk 100 baht extra and they will take you up no problem. Staff were amazing too. If you can't be bothered walking then this isn't for you bc to get to the main road is down hill and about 6 mins. But we stayed in the suite at the top of the hotel so we had the furthest walking distance.

Quiet,relaxing & recharge as a couple

The staff are very friendly, huge rooms & patio area,pool & room very clean & comfortable furnishings. Room service is cheap (a little spices in taste) & it is needed as there is nothing around except if you catch a taxi

Beautiful sea view and mountain view

I have mixed feeling about this hotel..we love the room as it's spacious, has it's own pool, and great view. However it's just too remote to get to anywhere..there's nothing around the immediate area so if you need anything u will need to catch a taxi to the nearest town, ie Kamala beach. We were lucky to have met a lovely Thai lady who's just happened to be this hotel owner. She was very kind to give us a ride to a few places for a number of days during our stay. Overall we did enjoyed our stay as we came here to relax and enjoy the view. Tip: This property is right on top of the hill making it difficult to walk up. But if you are at the bottom of the hill, you can get the security guard to call the hotel to come down to pick you up.

Nice resort!

The resort located at Kamala, about 5 to 6 km to patong beach. The resort is awesome! The private pool is superb! You can swim and enjoy the nice ocean+mountain view at the same time! And the room is also spacious. Definitely worth staying!

They did not give me smae what I saw in the photo , They gave me very bad villa , dirty pool , the furniture is damage , the bath room is terrible , Damage safety box , The very important thing is the villas are not %100 privacy , The staff doesn't even speak English, Feeling not safe , taxi drivers never know the way to the hotel + some tuktuks dont dare drive up the hill where the hotel is located. I do not recommend this hotel if you want to see other things than a poor suite with a pool .

Great View of the Ocean

Very good experience with hotel staff, they are very friendly and helpful. The room was really good as well, we love the pool and its setting in the room, the view was really good. I think the only problem we have when we go Patong or anywhere, because not many taxi knows how to go back, and getting up the hill is a tough job. also the fitness and spa facilities are still under construction.

Service was good

Service was good by the reception, but limited English and could only book and talk to one lady. Room was clean but did not feel safe as there were locals right outside our door day and night doing things and having to listen to them all the time was awfull. The hotel was like a village of locals who hired out several rooms, not a genuine hotel. Taxis would refuse to go up the hill to get to our hotel which wasn't useful. Set menu for breakfast was not good at all as you get half a slice of bacon which was like pork crackle and 1egg for the omelette. I think for the price you pay you can get alot nicer places and quality.

A Great Pool Villa!

Fantastic villa with a great view. We stayed in the 3rm pool villa, which was on the top floor. The villas are on top of a steep hill so you would get a great view. But recommend to have ur own vehicle to get up the hill. The pool was great for families with kids. The staff were very helpful and could converse well in English. Truly a great villa experience!

แย่มาก จองห้องพักแบบครอบครัว ผู้ใหญ่ 8 คนเด็ก 2 คน จ่ายเงินเต็ม โทรยืนยันการจองกับที่พักเรียบร้อย มีใบยืนยันการจอง (จองเข้าพักวันที่ 29-30 ธ.ค) พอวันเข้าพัก โรงแรมก็แจ้งว่าไม่เคยได้รับข้อมูล และอ้างว่าเพิ่งมาทำงานใหม่ทั้งทีม มาถามว่าเราคุยกับพนักงานชื่ออะไรไว้ ทำแบบนี้ เพื่อจะรับคน walk in ในราคาที่สูงกว่า พนักงานทั้งโรงแรมไม่รู้อะไรเลย ขนาดชื่อโรงแรมยังบอกว่าไม่รู้จัก พนักงานต้อนรับ แม่บ้าน ถามอะไรก็บอกแต่ว่าไม่ทราบ เพิ่งมาทำงานทุกคน บรรยากาศรอบๆ โรงแรม เหมือนรกร้างมานาน ห้องรับรองแขกเป็นห้องเก็บของ สกปรก ไม่ได้ทำความสะอาดมานาน แต่ยังเปิดให้แขกเข้าไปนั่ง เสียเวลา เสียความรู้สึก มีพนักงานคนนึงบอก ปกติไม่มีแขกเข้าพักหรอก ก็สมควรกับสภาพโรงแรมที่เห็น อย่าหลงเชื่อรูปที่รีวิวไว้นะ ปล.เราเสียดายไม่ได้ถ่ายรูปมาลงให้ดู เพราไปถึงที่นั่นแล้วไม่มีห้อง ต้องวุ่นวายหาที่พักใหม่ แนะนำให้หาที่พักที่อื่นกันนะคะ

Το δωμάτιο ήταν διαφορετικό από αυτό που είχα δει στις εικόνες του site σας. Μόλις φτάσαμε μας ζητήθηκε 2000 baht για εγγύηση!!! Ενώ η πληρωμή μου είχε γίνει ηδη με κάρτα. Είναι η πρώτη φορά που μου ζητάνε κάτι τέτοιο. Βέβαια πήραμε τα χρήματα πίσω αλλά υπήρχαν στο δωμάτιο ελλείψεις από πιάτα, σπασμένο καδρακι που φοβόμασταν ότι θα κρατηθούν από την εγγύηση παρόλο που δεν είχε γίνει από εμάς. Το πρωινό ήταν μέτριο. 2 στις 3 μέρες τα αυγά ήταν σχεδόν ωμά. Πολύ μακριά με τα πόδια από το κέντρο της Καμαλα αυτό μας ανάγκασε να νοικιάσουμε αμάξι. Ο κύριος που είναι στην νυχτερινή βάρδια ειρωνικός και στο μοναδικό μας αίτημα να έρθει κάποιος από την reception να μας πάρει με τα πράγματα γιατί έβρεχε και έπρεπε να περπάτησουμε έναν δρόμο κατηφορικό μέχρι την ρεσεψιόν. Έπρεπε να είμαστε εκεί στις 7:00 το πρωί για να πάρουμε το βανακι που θα μας πήγαινε στο λιμάνι. Από τις 6:30 τον καλουσαμε και τελικά 7 πάρα 5 κατεβήκαμε μέσα στην βροχή το μονοπάτι. Τελικά είδαμε ένα βανακι να ανεβαίνει. Το βανακι αυτό όμως δεν ήταν του ξενοδοχείου αλλά της εταιρίας που θα μας μετέφερε στο λιμάνι. Καθόλου επαγγελματίες και καθόλου συνεπείς. Επίσης η πετσέτες δεν ήταν κάθε μέρα σε αριθμό ίδιες. Δηλαδή αντί για 2 πετσέτες ο κάθε ένας είχαμε 1.η πισίνα ωραία παρόλα αυτά αν και όχι το δωμάτιο το οποίο έκλεισα. Οι τοίχοι στο δωμάτιο με υπολοιματα μαύρα από παπούτσια. Το υπόλοιπο πρωσοπικο ήταν ευγενικό αν και κάνεις δεν μιλούσε αγγλικά οπότε η συνεννόηση μας ήταν ένας Εφιάλτης. Δεν θα το πρότεινα ποτέ!

可怕的經歷

第五次到芭東旅遊，這是我住過最可怕的洒店。 洒店大堂沒有燈沒有人歡迎，找了很久才找到大堂。 到房間裝修十分殘久，跟Hotels.com 的相片不一樣，相片看到廚房能煮食，但現實是不能煮食。露台門口不能鎖，但很容易就能入侵。 早餐地方沒有燈，坐椅好像有蟲子咬，我有禮貌地跟員工說早安，員工面無表情指著早餐牌，早餐只有五個選擇。自助區的麥包動一動有小蟲子飛出來。

屋子很大，很舒適，但是泳池一大早水面就有些小昆蟲

Ikke godt nok...

Udmærket værelser med masser af plads. Egen pool og god udsigt. Personalet kunne ikke engelsk eller thai, mange af dem kom fra Myanmar. Dem der kunne var hjælpsomme, men de var sjældent tilstede. Morgenmaden var lavet til de kinesere der boede på en del af på hotellet, og det betød reelt at der var toastet brød i 10 dage.. der kunne også vælges en omelet hvis der var personalet i nærheden. Rengøringsniveauet var under middel, det var simpelthen ikke godt nok.. Der var ca. 5 km. Til Patang Beach så man bør gøre op med sig selv om det er det værd. Det var det ikke for os. Fuyez

Hôtel dans un piteux état, pas du tout entretenu et c'est très dommage car l'environnement autour est très beau et très calme. L'hôtel est sale que ce soit dans les chambres ou les parties communes ( ascenseur , couloirs, escaliers, hall d'entrée. ... ) et la piscine privée de la chambre était dans le même état. L'état de l'hôtel à même fait fuir des touristes à peine arrivés ... Nous avions choisi formule avec petit déjeuner mais quelle erreur, les plats sont envahis de moucherons. Rapport qualité prix très mauvais, la chambre dans cet hôtel ne vaut pas du tout le prix payé. Nous avons été très déçu et ne recommandons pas cet hotel. Mefiez vous des photos. Il y'a beaucoup mieux et beaucoup moins cher aux alentours.

The view is not matching the name though ! Room is big !

simple, cozy, but many bugs

big room and interior is simple. you may have to rent a car because location is far from patong, and room is far from reception(there is shuttle between room and reception) breakfast have only few plates, like basic meal. there are so many bugs on pool.

เหมาะสำหรับคนที่ต้องการความเป็นส่วนตัว แต่ห้องพักบางจุดไม่ค่อยสะอาดค่ะ น้ำฝักบัวไหลเบาจนถึงเกือบไม่ไหลค่ะ แต่โดยรวมถือว่าปานกลางไม่ดีไม่แย่เกินไปค่ะ
