Great location overlooking part of the city and shoreline. Restaurant food was ok but overpriced for the quality. Interesting the restaurant was the only place in our 45 day Spain/Portugal trip that suggested a tip.

We were extremely comfortable at the hotel and the staff was Amazing so nice and helpful!

A good place to stay

Lovely hotel, beautiful setting. Staff were friendly. They could do with more signage and better Wi-Fi (it was obvious it was being utilised by corporate guests). The room was a good size and the balcony perfect, with spectacular views. An easy walk to the beach, an uphill walk back again! The bathroom was small but fine for one person. I didn't have dinner at the hotel but breakfast was good. I had a problem with my in-room safe and it was managed and fixed as soon as I reported it. My only gripe was that there was no kettle and cups in the room. I don't want to have to go to the bar / restaurant every time I want a hot drink.

Easy to locate, great views, nice pool area. We were on the ground floor next to walkway to restaurant and pool access, so it was a bit noisy at times. Overall would recommend.

During booking, I booked a room with a king bed. When I arrived at the property the hotel gave me a room with a single bed and told me I had to pay 25 euro’s if I wanted a single bed. Even though that was the room I booked. They upsell for things you already paid for. It’s a total scam.

Vey old hotel rooms. dirty. water in the shower went cold and then boiling hot all of a sudden. No mixer. burned my skin almost. hair dryer was from the 18th century. dirty and useless. telephone was from the 18th century as well. Terrible experience.

Location is amazing, loved the view from the restaurant. The room itself was good but my main issue was the WIFI. I stayed for 7 days and the WIFI was extremely terrible. I complained a couple of times but didn’t really receive any solution. Secondly, the room temperature was hot and somehow the thermostat in my room did not work. I complained about it, again no solution. It’s an average hotel overall with a good view.

It is a gorgeous hotel! The staff is friendly and they have lots of useful amenities, and a gorgeous pool. There was actually a wedding there while we were staying. Lots of dining options about a 15-20 minute walk away, and they'll also be by the beach. Enjoyed our time there. Note: It's not located exactly in the heart of Barcelona, it's in Castelldefels. Expect to uber or public transit to the city.

Lovely hotel with beautiful swimming pool Ordered burgers at the pool bar but were sent out very rare… had to send back 3 of the dishes and asked to be cooked better. Instead of sending back 3 new burgers they sent back the same burgers with cold chips on it .. not sure why this was done but apart from that.. lovely stay

It was beautiful but the rooms quite thin i could hear the people showering, it was a bit loud, but other than that love the hotel was really nice food, servie 5* it was a peaceful place really loved it.

I stayed here for the weekend the room is very out dated . And no air conditioner. The windows can open super wide which is a safety issue . I think you should have maybe a service for bikes to rent as it’s very far to walk up that hill to hotel. The hotels best feature was the views and it was close to the beach . And train station 20 mins from the airport . The best part was the spa which I would definitely use again AMAZING VERY MODERN

Old hotel with nice view. Clean, but dated. No slipper. No bathrobe. No water included. No toothbrushes. Safe box old, not working well. No bell man, have to carry your own luggages. Very noisy at night. Breakfast is very poor, not lots of choices. Over all, it’s not really a 4 stars hotel.

Rooms, views, staff, pool and the fort, service and hospitality is excellent.

Room was nice, just some stuff could be updated like the ac. It was only blowing out heat and some of the outlets. But everything else was good enjoyed it

At check in they upgraded us to a nicer room with King size bed. Front desk staff was very helpful and spoke English. They went out of their way to help us order from a local restaurant one night (language barrier lol). Would recommend.

I liked this property cause the staffs were nuce however its on a hill so if you don't have a car its tiring getting here. I didn’t really try anything but know that the mini bar in your room is not for free, they will charge what they give you

Trip to Castelldefels and Barcelona

Wonderful stay. The check in was smooth, the beds were comfortable, the room was quiet, clean, and well appointed... Breakfast was excellent with many options. We ate one evening in the bar/tapas restaurant and the service and food was great. Beautiful grounds and views. Would stay here again.

Love the surroundings view and the antique feeling of a castle. We are looking forward to come back.

Good property to stay if ur a local person, if ur not and u are depending on wifi highly not recomended. They always have there wifi down. Very hard to get transportation up to the property. Also don’t recommended getting breakfast, same thing every day and hot food is always cold. Great staff and customer service tho.

I like that the hotel is on top of a hill. Therefore, it comes with amazing views.

Overall the hotel was nice, food was of good quality with fantastic customer service. The rooms were bright and sized appropriately, but could hear through the walls of our neighbouring rooms as well as there was no kettle or coffee in the room.

I recently stayed at the hotel and was amazed how polite and helpful the staff were. The breakfast buffet was a great price and hand so many options which usually never seen in buffet. The spa was a great relaxing experience. Excellently done

Fabulous hotel! I booked this for one night after my flight was cancelled. It was lovely, rooms were pristine, staff were friendly and professional, the pool area was relaxing with everything you need for a restful stay. The staff go above and beyond to really provide a great guest experience. Breakfast was also very nice with fresh fruit, pastries and scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon etc. I will return to this hotel for a longer stay next time I am in Casteldefells.

Hotel was fantastic, food was lovely and staff were really friendly and happy to help. There is a steep hill to get down to the beach and bars, would be a hard to do if you have mobility issues, unless you hire a car or jump a cab, which lots of people do. Because of the location the views are amazing and it’s nice to be away from the noise of the beach etc. We jumped the train to Barcelona easy to do 1 change. Even staff at the rail station were very helpful. Will be visiting again ☺️

Positively surprised

I really wanted to leave a pleasant review here but the cleanliness was not it for me and my friend. When the cleaners clean, the sheets aren't changed daily, just straighten. When we got to our room there was a half open champagne bottle in the fridge. The air conditioner is very poor, you'd be better off with a fan, no iron in the room. The surrounding was nice, the pool. Hardly any menu in english or staff can't expalin the menu well, if you don't speak spanish.

During our one night stay, there were 2 corporate events and one wedding, leading to noise at night and fully booked dining. The spa and pool were both closed by 8pm and se we did not use either facility.

Wanted to stay outside of the city.

Wanted to stay outside the city of Barcelona because we had a car rental and did not want to drive or park in the City. Took the train into town everyday. The hotel is beautiful. Couple of weddings there over our stay. Located in a sleepy community on the coast.

Hadn't been told weddings were held in pool area so when came back tired from Barcelona were dismayed at noise, couldnt sleep, however hotel were quick to give another room and offered upgrade and complimentary dinner, would recommend and would definetely stay again.

Nice place, seemed more like a venu for weddings and events rather than a holiday spot.A little far out of Barcelona itself with a taxi costing 40 euros each way.

Beautiful place with wonderful views of the sea. Pool area is nice. Many people come here for weddings. It's ~15min walk up a hill from the train station and beach, remember that if you are not driving. Rooms can get sandy from people going to the beach.

Ok for the price, but transportation to the hotel is bad, and can lead to unsafe situations looking for a taxi. It is far out of the city and nowhere near any stores, restaurants, or bars. If you are looking for a remote getaway, sure. If you are looking for a place to stay while near Barcelona, book a hotel in Barcelona.

Fantastic views and grounds offering incredible value for money. Staff were lovely too. We ate all 3 nights in the bar by the pool which offered a great menu with various tapas options. Pool is clean and the sun loungers plentifal with lots of space to find a spot looking out to sea with a cold drink!

Very nice hotel, beautiful clean and enjoyable.

Full of character. We had a lovely room with two patio doors out onto verandas which was great. Apparantly one of the better rooms looking down over Barcrlona and of the pool. Staff were exceptional, so friendly and helpful.

Was just looking for a convenient airport hotel and was so impressed with the location and character of this place, make sure you get a room with a view! Only downside was that you had to pay an extra €15 to use the indoor spa area.

Buffet breakfast charged, not refunded

Out reservation included the breakfast buffet but when we got the bill, we were charged. The desk clerk said it wasn't included but I showed him my copy of the reservation which clearly showed the free breakfast and parking.

Great hotel and good base for out of city stay

Having read some of the reviews of this hotel, I was a bit concerned. However we found all of the staff helpful and friendly. We had a room in the old part of the hotel , it was clean and newly decorated, the beds were comfortable and it was spacious. We were not woken by any noise. We had food in both the bar and the restaurant, the staff were friendly and the service was good. the food quality was also good and the portion size was very good. The cost was reasonable as well. Breakfast was also good. In is a good base to travel into Barcelona, with the train station being a 15 minute walk away as is the beach. However if you have mobility problems its worth knowing that the hotel is at the top of a steep hill. If there was one complaint it would have been nice if the outside pool stayed open a little bit longer as it closes at 7pm, however if you like an early morning dip it does open at 8am which is unusual for a lot of hotels with outside pools.

The hotel is only average. Phone in my room does not work. The wifi is not good quality. The food is of average quality. The rooms are not comfortable at all. The gym is a shame - it is a room with no a/c, only one treadmill and there is no water!

Overall good, but some furniture old and my room was a little dusty. However staff was very supportive and the breakfast was very lovely. It is far from the beach, but the pool is lovely and ther are cabs that can be called. I don’t recommend walking uphill from the train station with luggage.

Everything about my stay was horrible and unpleasant. The staff was rude , disrespectful & racist. The food was disgusting , they false advertise everything and no staff spoke English. Overall I had a very unpleasant experience & I will never visit this location again.

Beautiful 4 star property with excellent amenities and service. Love the great breakfast and expansive pool patio!

The staff and the cleanliness of the rooms really let this the property down. The pool At the bar Area is the only nice thing to look at. Staff are very rude in the cafe bar and in the resteraunt. I sat waiting in the cafe bar for service for around 15 minutes where I got completely ignored so we went to the resteraunt where it say please wait here to Be seated so we did and the staff just stood around a table laughing which just made us leave l. We went to bed with nothing to eat after a long day, the hotel is situated close to train station Which the takes around 30 minutes to get into the centre, Reception staff are really helpful apart down that I don’t rate this hotel at all,

Amazing bur short stay

Amazing, booked to be close to the airport, so glad we did, had to check our at 5am but worth every penny. Lovely hotel best bed I have slept in, in Spain. Great helpful friendly staff, lovely location- cannot praise it enough thank you.
