Wonderful warmth

Really fantastic warmth and service. Great location. Wonderful food and bar. Only possible downside is Athens is a late night city and as such you may need earplugs to sleep!

We arrived in Athens exhausted from a sleepless overnight flight. Instead of sleeping, we struggled to get any rest because the hotel’s bar have VERY LOUD AMPLIFIED singing going until midnight every night. The room has little sound insulation. After two lousy nights, we checked out a day early and found a quiet hotel in Athens. To the manager’s credit, she refunded the prepaid amount for the final night without being asked to do so.

Loud music

Staffs were super friendly rooms were cleaned and very comfy. Music from bar was quite loud, hard to sleep when music only stopped at midnight for weekends and 11 on weekdays

Great boutique hotel within walking distance of many sites, restaurants, shops, etc. Good breakfast included. Unfortunately, the bar/restaurant plays loud, thumping dance music until 11:30 so if sleep is important then this may not be the hotel for you. Also, no gym in building (under renovation).

Property, staff and room were all top notch. We are looking for excuses to fly through Athens when back in Europe, just to stay at this hotel!

Gorgeous and modern, comfortable and clean, unbelievably good breakfast, wonderful and attentive staff. But it is in a NOISY NOISY area!!! So, if you are a light sleeper, beware!!! Otherwise, enjoy your stay!

The rooms are delightful. Lots of attention to detail. Sheets were white and linen crispy. Vanity supplies including toothbrushes, shaving set, hand cream. The shower was huge and lovely with pink tiles and shampoo and conditioner. Coffe maker with delicious Turkish coffee.

This hotel is really a gem! Immaculate, welcoming, helpful, quiet, except when we went down to dinner and there was live music. So fun! We would definitely stay there again, if we are ever back in Athens. Fantastic breakfast, too. The perfect place to stay in Athens!

Persistent WiFi problems. Little bit of noise until1am. Otherwise the staff is First Rate!! Hotel is very good. I would stay there again.

Rooms were very small for the price. No where to put clothes. However, bed was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly! Noisy at night because of music in hotel.

The staff was excellent!

We only had a one night stay post cruise and arrived early. The staff was wonderful in accomodating us with an open room for my elderly father to rest, and in making arrangements for a very nice transport to the airport next morning. We had family staying in two nearby hotels as well, which were more expensive but not as accomodating!

We loved our hotel very much, the location is perfect and walkable to nearly everything you could need. The staff is so helpful and kind. Highly recommend.

Awesome customer service, beautiful rooms, and a great restaurant with one of the best complimentary breakfasts. Convenient location that is close to almost everything Athens has to offer. All of the front desk personnel speak excellent english and helpfully assisted with all of our questions and requests.

Surprising nice discovery as a hotel. Very cool atmosphere and great food in the restaurant. Music is too loud and our room was on first floor and that is what we heard late into the night while trying to sleep.

I recently stayed at The Gatsby Athens, and I can't say enough good things about my experience! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the stunning design of the property. The hotel perfectly combines modern chic with a hint of vintage glamour, creating a stylish and welcoming atmosphere. Every corner seemed thoughtfully designed, with unique art pieces and luxurious furnishings that made it feel more like a boutique gallery than a hotel. The staff at The Gatsby Athens truly went above and beyond to ensure my stay was exceptional. They were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready with a smile and eager to help with any request. From offering local recommendations to making sure every detail of my stay was perfect, their service was top-notch. Overall, my experience at The Gatsby Athens far exceeded my expectations. The beautiful design, coupled with the outstanding service from the staff, made this one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. I can't wait to return and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Athens!

Beautiful floral entry way. Large bathroom. Friendly staff.

Very friendly and helpful folks staff this wonderful boutique hotel centrally located to all must see of Athens. It is a small hotel with comfortable and tech modern rooms (USB charging stations, touch screen controls for room entry, AC, room lighting, etc..). Only 25 minute walk to Acropolis and great rooftop dining with amazing views within minutes walk from Gatsby. The front desk staff were very helpful. We arrived via cruise ship and a couple days before checkin at Gatsby asked (via email) if they could arrange transportation from cruise port to hotel. And a 4 am cab to airport a couple days later. Done! So easy, no stress. And thanks for the box breakfasts for the early departure! We also enjoyed sharing drinks with our traveling friends in the Gatsby lobby bar area before heading out each afternoon. Oh, and wonderful breakfast with perfect lattes. They have a good menu for lunch and dinner as well. So, in summary, a wonderful hotel, centrally located, and most importantly, a group of folks who made us feel welcome, safe and comfortable. From Castle Rock, Colorado, we loved the Gatsby.

Intimate and clean!

The room was spotless and the staff was very friendly and professional. The hotel is close to the sights and shopping, dining, etc. Service was impeccable. I will stay at this hotel again.

Beautiful decor

From the front door person Christopher to the concierge, bartenders and wait staff- the Gatsby Athens was an impeccable stay! We loved every minute. We had live music each night we stayed- delicious breakfast and fantastics cocktails. It is centrally located within walking distance to the plaka, the parliament and the national gardens. If I could give it 10 stars I would.

This property is absolutely beautiful, best we saw in Athens in the price range. Everything is walkable. The restaurant in the hotel is the best we had in Athens. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was delicious. Rooms are small but comfortable. And honestly we spent very little time in the room. Highly recommend this property.

Gatsby was a wonderful place to stay while in Athens. It felt central/walkable to many things downtown. The hotel is beautiful and modern and my room was amazing. They had live music in the courtyard that I could hear from my room, which I enjoyed. The reception desk staff was nice. If I return to Athens in the future, I will stay here again.

This is the prettiest hotel ever! The staff are wonderful- from check in, to the bar and restaurant, to the bell staff- everyone is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We had an issue with our AC and they immediately moved us to another room (and it was an upgrade and they didn’t even blink about doing it). The breakfast was delicious. The location is perfect-walkable to everything. We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. A real gem!

The Great Gatsby in Greece

The hotel location was awesome, right in the centre of the city, close to tourist sites and also handy for public transport. Staff were friendly, food was great.

No sleep/ excellent service and restaurant

Lavish room booked but was very small Bed was soft and on slant and pillows hard so didn’t really sleep much. No soundproofing to outside so expect lots of noise til 1am. Service was friendly and excellent, breakfast was included and wide choice of a la carte items. Dinner in restaurant was excellent. Go for dinner but wouldn’t recommend staying at the hotel.

Our first visit to Athens

Our stay at Gatsby Athens was delightful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel’s restaurant was amazing. The hotel is located in walking distance to sights and shopping. We highly recommend Gatsby Athens.

This was an amazing hotel experience. The room was very nice, and the staff were as friendly as you can ask. It was a reasonable walk to everything we wanted to do and easy to get transportation when we needed it. The included breakfast was top notch and the restaurant was well worth it for dinner.

A lovely boutique hotel that is centrally located, enabling you to walk to all the main sites. The staff are super friendly and courteous. I particularly liked that breakfast is made to order. This is not something you encounter often in a hotel. The food is brilliant, so do try the restaurant for dinner. If I visit Athens again, I would go back to The Gatsby.

The staff was very helpful and the room comfortable and clean, but the noise from the restaurant/bar across the street on Friday night (which went past 2 am) made it difficult to sleep.

The most friendly service Beautiful boutique hotel The food is spectacular I had an evening meal & breakfast it was fab I booked the lavish room thought it was a little small with only one sink would prefer a bigger room next time, Would definitely go back but couldn’t give it 5 stars as I didn’t sleep all night because of the noise outside. Excellent choice in Athens

We spent three nights at Gatsby Athens. It’s a brand new renovated hotel in an upcoming neighborhood. It’s a boutique hotel with a full vibrant bar with live music. Rooms are large and clean with very large and comfortable bed. Bathroom is modern and equipped with all modern fixtures. Shower is separated from sink and toilet which is a plus for sharing. Their breakfast was the highlight of ours stay. Very delicious egg choices and healthy plates. Overall Gatsby Athens is an excellent choice for staying in Athens. Be aware that this hotel is in an urban center of town so during the weekends surrounding streets are busy and loud. It’s walkable to all historical sites like Acropolis and vibrant Plaka area that all restaurants, bars and shopping are located

Very well designed hotel. A little bit small but have all the features. The breakfast options were great. Could get noise at night time.

Mixed feelings about Gatsby Hotel. The property is nice and well located and the staff very friendly/helpful. But one thing I really didn’t like is how they ask for tips at checkout. I have never encountered this in any other hotel so Gatsby is probably unique here in a negative way. Am happy to leave tips directly with staff but it’s uncomfortable to be asked to leave a tip right at checkout under the eye of the receptionist and other guests. Just a negative experience. My second issue is the hotel is not good value for money—it’s expensive but not worth the price.

Wonderful, unique experience

Beautiful hotel with excellent service, spacious rooms, great food/drink and lovely atmosphere. There was a mystical vibe to the hotel as well which was extremely unique.

I loved the breakfast option. The hotel is swanky and the gatsby theme is well-done. Hotel staff were helpful and very courteous. I would stay here again without pause. Dining/shopping options nearby were great. Walking to the Acropolis or other landmarks was easy (~20min).

Amazing

This boutique hotel is one of the nicest we've stayed in. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms spotless with comfortable bed and soft towels. The restaurant is lovely, food delicious. Breakfast comes with the room each morning, great choices and again, delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel, we'll definitely stay here again next visit to Athens. Oh, and they will arrange for a driver to pick you up at the airport and also take you to the cruise ship, for a reasonable cost. Good value...excellent location, everything walkable.

The room was unique with updated light technology. The lobby was gorgeous as well as the rooftop bar. The hotel staff was phenomenal.

What a great find The Gatsby was! Brilliant location to walk to all the sights, bars and restaurants. The staff were extremely helpful. The breakfast was divine and when we had an early ferry to catch they packed up a breakfast bag for us to take. The Gatsby was perfect for a 2 night stay.

This was the best place we have stayed in a very long time. It was beautiful. It smelled amazing. They cared. They were attentive. The free breakfast was as good a breakfast as you could find anywhere. The AC wasn’t as cold as we like to be - common in that part of the world - so they brought us a fan and bottled water. They would sneak in and clean our room any time we left the building. We wish this place was closer so we could stay there more often.

Amazing boutique hotel in the heart of Athens

This hotel literally blew us away . All the team are wonderful and so friendly . We were made to feel so special and at home . The hotels decor is amazing and so modern. Breakfast was wonderful and such a great choice . We stayed on the 5th floor and could hear music at night but we had no problem with that . We loved our bedroom which was a corner room although we didn’t have a bath but we could have changed rooms had we wished to do so . The location is incredible and so close to all the shops / bars / restaurants and sites .A huge thank you to all the team who couldn’t do enough for us .

Great spot. The breakfast included with your stay is truly amazing - I would stay here again for that reason alone.

A one-in-a-million big city hotel!

A one in a million big city hotel, exquisite service, extremely quiet and hip / comfortable rooms in a very central location. I couldn’t recommend this hotel more. We book-ended our trip with nights here (pre- and post Cyclades) and I actually look forward to going back.
