Great place

4 nights in Sesimbra

This was a lovely clean hotel within walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The bed was comfortable and the staff was great. However, the restaurant was not good. They mixed up our reservations and the food was cold and tasteless. Breakfast was however good.

The slider in our room was very hard to maneuver. There were no instructions for the AC. The pool was beautiful and the breakfast was great.

Nice modern hotel with good facilities. The food from the bar wasn't good so we had to eat out a lot.

Dissapointing

After checking in at 7:30pm, my partner and I went to bed early for a dive trip the next day. At 11:30pm, we were rudely awoken by a call from reception, asking who was in the room and informing us we were in the wrong room and would need to move the next day. Despite explaining we’d be gone all day, they said they would move our belongings which made us feel uncomfortable. The disturbance ruined our sleep, and when we tried to complain the next morning and check our stuff would not be moved, no manager was available until later that day. The manager did offer a sincere apologyand after some pressing offered us 20% off the first night, but I found the compensation inadequate given the disruption. The hotel is nice, clean and most of the staff we encountered were friendly, however our experience on the first night cast a shadow over the rest of the trip.

Expected better from 4 points Sheraton

Our stay was so relaxing and pleasant. The staff were so amazing and polite and very helpful. Everyone made us feel so welcomed and at home. Would definitely recommend!

I was a little disappointed with the assistance from staff in suggesting things to do. Also not thrilled with the way you had to estimate a credit amount to use for your room charge. The pool closed early and difficult getting the shuttle as the beach is difficult to walk back up to the hotel

Great breakfast, great swimming pool area, the kids club is quite convenient, and the shuttle to and from the beach is awesome.

Staff is unprofessional. Lacks trainning and hospitality. The word welcome was never mentioned at check in. Regardless of the fact i am platinum level bonvoy rewards program. I was serviced at the front desk by the supervisor, and given my surprise in the poor service i asked if i was recognized as a bonvoy member, to which he just nodded

Great location and staff was very helpful and pleasant! Breakfast had terrific choices and a lot of seating. Parking was limited, had to park on the street!

Wouldn’t stay again

Had to wait well beyond the check-in time of 4pm for our room to be ready, which when you’ve been travelling feels like a very long time. Our biggest issue however was our room wasn’t cleaned once our entire stay, and when we asked the cleaner to clean it, she just threw some towels at us. We were never allowed to put any drinks or room service against our room and forced to pay everything up front which was quite inconvenient. When we checked out, the receptionist sat there on the phone for a while without acknowledging us at the desk, and we eventually just had to discreetly leave because our taxi for the airport was waiting outside

Love Sesimbra and Loved staying here! Their shuttle makes it so convenient.

Stay in Sesimbra at Four Points Sheraton

We stayed two nights here at the end of our 10 day trip, mainly to relax and get ready for the drive into Lisbon airport. It was absolutely perfect for that purpose. The room was adequate and spacious with a small patio and a small grassy area overlooking the pool. If you like space, I would recommend this room, which was not one of the more expensive ones. The complimentary breakfast was expansive and delicious. It is a bit of a walk to the center of town, so you might want to take an Uber. Although the walk up to the top of the castle was awesome.

We only had a short stay, but it was a very nice place. Great amenities, phenomenal staff, delicious breakfast buffet, nice gym, free parking - We would definitely stay again.

Family getaway

Fim de semana em família. Adoramos tudo. Quarto, muito confortável. Zona de piscina muito boa. Sossegado. Perto da praia. Oferecem serviço de shuttle gratuito para levar e ir buscar a praia. Pequeno almoço muito bom. Aconselho e sem dúvida a voltar. Agradeço desde já a recepção pelo late check out e pela early check in. Não me Lembro o nome da recepcionista mas um grande obrigado pela hospitalidade e qualidade que nos tratou.

This property is a nightmare with bugs, lizzards, ants, and cockroaches. Rooms are dirty with bed sheets full of stains and hairs. We escaped it rapidly after realizing the property state.

Great Hotel with very nice rooms and a restaurant with great food

Loved the view. Hotel is modern and very clean. Beds are too hard, did not sleep well. We were promised shuttle service but it didn't show...

Property was in a beautiful location and had nice rooms. Plumbing was horrible though. Our sink plugged day 1. Its also not near much so a vehicle is necesary to get anywhere. The restaurant's food was decent. The hours of the restaurant are silly and dinner doesnt start till 1930.

Communication is key

After some unexpected check-in challenges, the overall visit was good. Staff could take some time to provide advice what is happening at least every 30-40min. Breakfast was busy with a short wait for seats but worth it. Pool was busy.

Even though the property has a shuttle you have to reserve a time for pick up to the beach or from it. It would be much better if they had a small shuttle bus just running back and forth from the hotel to the beach area. It's not always possible to know what time you want to go to the beach or be picked up from it. We did not utilize the shuttle because of this. When we tried to, the times were reserved. Unfortunately, we will not stay again here because of this. Was too inconvient with kids.

Week in the sun

Except the outdoor pool, small gym and outdoor massage, there are no other activities at the hotel itself (unless I couldn't find the spa or kids club). The place is however lovely with very friendly personnel, tasty food and comfortable room.

Sesimbra in our hearts

What an amazing stay. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my every whim was met. We loved the hotel, we loved Sesimbra and we loved it's people.

Staff at the restaurant were rude and not friendly at all. I had to personally go down to get my room service orders.

The property was great and we would've had a great stay, however the fire alarm went off at 6 in the morning for like 20 minutes straight. It was awful. Our 2 young kids were terrified and we had NO idea what was going on. We were on the 5th level and the elevators weren't working because of the fire alarm. No staff came to check on us and let us know what was happening. After 20 minutes we finally found out from a staff member who happened to be staying on our floor and was also woken up, that it was a false alarm. We just happened to run into him, otherwise we never would have found out what happened. Again, nobody checked in on my family and we weren't compensated in any way for the inconvenience. Nobody even mentioned it when we checked out. It seems like they were not prepared at all had that been a real emergency. We were disappointed to say the least.

The Hotel is not situated in a very convenient location. There are no shops or restaurants (other than the Hotel's) in the area around the Hotel. There was a mix up with our rooms, that was sorted out. The menu in the restaurant is very limited. We had upgraded our rooms, to supposedly have a view over the pool. A bit of artistic license there. The staff were just brilliant, both at reception, in the restaurant and the cleaners. The hotel certainly couldn't be described as easy on the eye. Breakfast was extremely good. Special mention for Sandra and Marta at reception and also all the restaurant staff

An absolutely superb hotel. outstanding service and superb restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble. very helpful to have our small dog in the room. We will most certainly stay there if/when we are next in the area

Perfect stay!

Very lovely hotel! Room is clean and spacious with beautiful view stepping out on balcony. Breakfast is beautiful and delicious with so many choices, in a beautiful restaurant with amazing indoor ambiance and outdoor view! Super nice staff! Dog friendly! Easy parking. We feel privileged to stay at this hotel. We wish to come back for longer stay next time.

Excellent hotel but be aware TOO FAR FROM LISBON 50-70 minutes

Nice but cold swimming-pool.

Very nice hotel despite the distance from the centre. A little disappointed the water in the swimming pool was so COLD.

A wonderful property and the breakfast was great! We had a wonderful time.

Decent hotel but expected a bit more for the price

The positive points are - the pool area and the views are pretty nice. Breakfast is good. Minibar is totally free and the bed is super comfortable. The disappointing bits were - smelling of damp in the room (the biggest downside for me), some facilities need a bit of a revamp as they look tired; service wasn't as friendly as in other equivalent hotels in Sesimbra. Location may be a negetive for those with difficulties going up steep hills, not as close to the beach as it may appear on the map.

I wouldn't book again

We had a decent stay at the Sheraton. It is overhyped for what it is and overpriced. Our room was decent, bed was very large and comfortable, clean and crisp sheets. The negatives were that the rooms have absolutely zero views, unless you have a pool view room. The bathroom is tiny!! Also, the bathroom seemed really cheap and basic, though it was clean. The walls are super thin and the double glazing very poor, we could hear other rooms toilets flushing and we were woken every morning at 5am by the bins being collected and lots of metal bins being banged about, then around 8am the maid's trolleys would wake us up as they were dragged back and forth on the jagged tiles outside, not to mention doors being banged everywhere. Reception staff were not the most friendly. Parking in the hotel was super expensive, €8 per day, this is not made clear at time of booking. My advice is to park on the road anywhere outside the hotel, free parking and no restrictions. Breakfast was fantastic, huge variety, plentiful, great covid measures being practiced. The swimming pool was nice, but not enpugh sun loungers and we were never able to get a sun lounger. The location of the hotel is fantastic as it's just a 12 min walk to the beach and the restaurants. Vegetarians beware, there are very few options available, but a heaven for seafood lovers. All in all, I definitely wouldn't stay at the Sheraton when I visit Sesimbra again.

Overall: Well styled hotel but lacking finesse and attention to detail. The main areas were very attractive and comfortable. It IS a nice hotel but some disappointing elements that let it down. Location: It is located at the top of a hill and the immediate area is quite quiet. We had a 2 bed suite had a great view of the pool and harbour (in addition to a crane in direct view as well although nothing the hotel could do about this). It is a quick 10 minute trip down to the main strip beach and easy for most people but not for those with mobility issues. We had a toddler and used a pushchair - the route was not an easy one, mainly blighted by cars parked which blocked the pavements, holes in in the cobbles and lots of dog mess to dodge . Again, this is not the fault of the hotel but adds to the general experience. The hotel does have a free shuttle service car but this car has to be booked in advance so does not allow you to be spontaneous. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within 10 minute walk. Rooms: the suite was spacious with ample cupboard space. The beds in the bedrooms are large and the pillows comfy although the mattress is quite firm. The bathroom has a double sink and large countertop, single shower. It lacks places to hang the bath towels for 4-5 people. There is a kettle and complementary tea and coffee sachets but no milk or creamer is provided. One television in the main room did not work. Nice to have an iron/ironing board and nice robes. R

The staff did everything to make our stay super memorable and fun. We experienced a long delay in the restaurant, but they were kind enough to reward us with more than just "sorry". Rather, they took action to show they really care. I traveled with kids and can say the rooms are extremely spacious and the property and staff kid friendly. Would highly recommend and go back!

Sesimbra stay .

One night stay on the way to the Algarve. Brand new hotel what more can you want . A 15 minute walk to the beach and back uphill.

Great hotel

We had an amazing time! The service was honestly some of the best we’ve ever had - staff were super friendly and made us feel really relaxed. Our room was crazy comfortable too!

Good hotel with great people

The hotel is new (opened 01Jul20). The staff is super friendly, the young team at restaurant is amazing. The breakfast was in a special tray (for safety) and was really great and delicious. Dinner was also tasty. The WiFi is really high speed and never dropped. The bed is comfortable, room is big enough, bathroom is small but it's acceptable. The private balcony is handy (ask for room D102). It's a good location if you prefer tranquility (like me), but you need a car to go to beach or city center. There are a few things that can improve but it's acceptable as they just opened and some staff is still on training (but you can feel the commitment and dedication from them). Loved my stay and will return shortly.

We recommend this hotel

The hotel opened just two weeks before we arrived. Some improvements to be made especially staff training but overall worth staying. Everything very clean and the restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The food was so so good (best meals we had during our 3weeks holidays in Portugal). PS when booking the room make sure you book with a view

MUITO BOM HOTEL EM SESIMBRA.

Muito bom Hotel, com um ótimo café da manhã e quartos amplos, confortáveis e limpos. Boa piscina. O sofá cama poderia ser um pouco mais confortável e silencioso. Meu filho dormiu conosco no quarto e quando ele se mexia no sofá cama o barulho nos acordava. Fora essa questão, tudo no hotel é de boa qualidade.

Allt perfekt utom gångavståndet till centrum

Lugnt läge.Hög standard med stora rymliga rum och stor rymlig säng. Bra frukostbuffe. Enda nackdelen är om man vill gå till centrum/havet så har man ca 1,5 km branta backar för att ta sig hem. Taxi finns bara ibland, då det inte är så stor ort

Fiamos apenas uma noite mas fomos muito bem recebidos. Um atendimento fantástico na recepção pelo colaborador Guilherme. Pequeno almoço muito bom e com bastante variedade. Quarto grande e muito confortável.

Básico para um 4 estrelas

Atendimento cortes dos funcionários, quarto amplo e confortável, banheiro pequeno com amenidades básicas: shampoo, condicionador, sabão líquido e creme. Nosso quarto possuía pequena varanda com vista para a piscina. Entretanto, nos colocaram fora do prédio principal, num anexo, cujo acesso era feito pela rua do hotel e para entrar no quarto, havia uma escada de acesso, o que causou desconforto em razão das malas e do tempo chuvoso. O hotel é pet friendly, mas não possui local apropriado para o tutor tomar seu café da manhã com seu cãozinho. E para ter acesso ao salão de refeições, era necessário sair do anexo para se dirigir ao prédio principal.

Best hotel in Sesimbra. Always friendly, clean, comfortable. Good breakfast and the staff goes the extra mile to accommodate needs and wishes. Stayed here many times ad will continue to do so.

Great hotel with great staff

The rooms are okay. The pool was green, so we didn`t use it. The portier on the reception was very kind and conveniant. The breakfirst each day was really fine.

O hotel é excelente, novo, limpo muito agradável, mas a falta de sinalização adequada dos degraus na área da piscina quase estragou a minha estadia. Cai e me machuquei. Relatei o ocorrido e soube que outros hospedes também caíram no mesmo local e o hotel não tomou nenhuma providencia. Inadimissivel.

Cama muy cómoda y la zona de piscina tranquila y con servicio de restauración en las hamacas, sin aglomeraciones de huéspedes, toallas de piscina facilitada por el hotel cada día, y traslado gratuito del hotel a la playa.

Poderia ser melhor ! Quarto com muito bolor, como sou asmatica fiz um pedido para ver se podiam melhorar a situation. A unica solucao que encontraram foi ligar o airco todo o dia ,ajudou pouco ou nada . O cheiro no quarto era horrivel à humidade e as paredas da grande porta estavam todas cheias de bolor ,resultado passei as 4 noites quase sem dormir. No espaco piscina muito barulho das criancas,alguns pais faziam atencao enquanto outros gritavam tanto como os miudos. Outra situacao que nao e nada agradavel ,e o facto de fumarem em todo o lado .Pensamos que o hotel deveria interdir de fumar nous espacos comuns . Estarmos detendidos na piscina e termos que mudar de lugar devido aos fumadores e o maximo.

Num âmbito geral correu bem, unicamente o sofá casa onde dormiram os meus filhos é do pior que existe, colchão extremamente fino onde se sentia as ripas e a ranger toda a noite com o mínimo movimento. Tive que tirar na noite seguinte para o chão mas resolver o problema do barulho irritante

Hôtel excellent

Super séjour de 5 nuits. L’accueil, le service, les repas, la piscine au top. Étant français, pas de difficulté à se faire comprendre avec les serveurs et les réceptionnistes. Chambres et lits très confortable. Hôtel bien situé et facile d’accès. Les repas ont étés au dessus de nos attentes. De plus, ayant eu une visite tôt le matin, nous avons eu un très bon petit déjeuner à emporter préparé par les cuisiniers. Je recommande.

Gutes Hotel das bei Kleinigkeiten patzt

Wirklich schönes Hotel, auch wenn die Lage etwas "anstrengend" ist da man zum Ort und Strand bergab (10min) und bergauf (20min) laufen muss. Zimmer sind super ruhig, die Klimaanlage arbeitet fast geräuschlos aber effektiv. Und es ist wirklich immer alles 1a sauber. Personal ist super nett und engagiert, aber man hat immer das Gefühl auch sehr ängstlich und scheinbar unter eine Leitung die sehr streng ist. Was aber so gar nicht zum Hotel passt sind die Fußböden der Zimmer die extrem unsachgemäß repariert wurden und die abgestoßenen Scheuerleisten. Welchen Pfuscher hat man denn damit beauftragt? Frühstück ist reichhaltig, aber leider auch ohne Varianz. Sprich es gibt jeden Tag das absolut gleiche. Die beiden Kaffeevollautomaten sind fürchterlich und der Kaffee ist nicht genießbar. Zudem schaffen sie für die Anzahl der Gäste nicht ausreichend Durchsatz. Aber man kann dem Frühstück faire 3,5 von 5 Punkten geben. Also: - Ruhe: 5 Sterne - Sauberkeit: 5 Sterne - Personal: 5 Sterne - Personalleitung: 0 Sterne (Weil unzeitgemäß autoritär) - Lage: 3 Sterne (weil es halt echt anstrengend ist den Berg hinauf zu klettern - Shuttleservice: 1 Stern - nicht erreichbar, und ehrlich ein Kleinwagen ist ein Witz als Shuttleservice in die Stadt. Shuttleservice zum Flughafen - Fehlanzeige. - Aussicht: Hat man ein Zimmer zum Pool hin - grandios. Beste Grüße
