Scenic location
Room was homely with beautiful views, had a kettle, a selection of teas and coffees and delicious home made flapjacks. Breakfast was delicious and very entertaining with red squirrels popping in to feed and a whole variety of birds diving around. Property even has a drying room, which was very handy after a wet walk.
Hidden gem! Such an amazing place
Stayed here for two nights with my friend while hiking in the area. Friendly and lovely place. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was amazing, room was clean and comfortable with an amazing view over the garden and mountains beyond. Spent our evenings watching the red squirrels, birds, deer and badgers out of the bedroom window. Perfect place to use as a base or to spend time in the gardens. We had the addition of a packed lunch made for us which was lovely, the flapjacks are amazing by the way! Great location, friendly hosts, great service, parking, wifi, breakfast, comfy bed, clean bathroom and amazing views and wildlife. Will definitely be retunring next time we visit the area. 10/10!! Cant fault it in any way
Way too far off the main road with a pot holed drive and limited parking. Nobody present upon the room was tiny , clean but completely inappropriate for those blessed with a love for life. arrival or indeed departure.
Really friendly and helpful
Despite pouring rain, we had a lovely overnight stay, help with towels for our dogs, drying room for coats. Really frie dly fantastic views and location.
Brilliant 100%

We had an amazing stay. We were very happy with our room. We slept soundly and the breakfast was amazing..
Lovely guest house and lovely owner. The rooms were clean and the breakfast lovely. Rather bumpy scary arrival with the narrow roads, but worth it!
A real find!
A superb place to stay. An amazing place for being in nature and wildlife. Great hosts who do an AMAZING breakfast too. A special place indeed!
Gorgeous Guest House with Red Squirrels included..
Great Guest house with only a few other guests. Set in some of the most amazing scenary you will ever see. there are Red Squirrels and hundreds of birds no more than a few feet from the dining room . Very clean and tidy rooms . Kate looked after us like we were family. Lending us a phone when our car broke down and generaly making sure our short stay was memorable..
We did not actually stay that far out that remote we could not find it Google maps could not find it take a map and a compass
The location of the house is a perfect balance of peace and quiet, with stunning views and abundant wildlife garden, and yet 10 minutes walk from a village shop and 2 pubs. Excellent hospitality and delicious breakfast. Im already planning my next visit.
Jubilee holiday.
A hidden gem, a nature lovers paradise, I didn't want to leave! Beautiful views from the windows. Breakfast conservatory so close to the birds and squirrels you feel you could touch them. Plenty of paths to explore through the grounds and lots of walks nearby. Nothing too much trouble, dogs welcome, fresh milk provided; a very generous well cooked breakfast, everything clean and well cared for. Plenty of information given. You can tell I was impressed!
Five Star
Beautiful stay and five star service by Mother and Daughter, we could not fault this residence at all plus the breakfast is truly lovely . Would highly recommend to any person looking for a very peaceful stay with stunning surroundings. From Howard and Nicole.
What’s not to love about this place?
Lovely quiet location, spotless accommodation, great breakfast and friendly hosts. The perfect spot for walkers and those who like to see red squirrels and birds at close range.
Very friendly and welcoming. Loved the red squirrels and garden birds so close while enjoying breakfast.

The location was lovely and peaceful. My room overlooked the garden where the many and varied birds and red squirrels came to feed. The room itself was exceptionally clean and nicely decorated, with a decent sized en suite bathroom. Very comfortable. Corrine provided a kind welcome and delicious breakfasts, served in a spacious and clean conservatory. The location itself is within easy travelling distance of plenty of interesting places and things to do and see and not so nearly as overpopulated as the central Lakes area, so perfect for people requiring a bit more peace and solitude. I would definitely try to book there again if I revisited this part of the Lakes in the future. Many thanks to Corrine et al for a lovely ( if short!) stay.
