Top notch hostel
We stayed after our visit to the Causeway. It was lovely. Clean, welcoming, unpretentious room, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent value.
Grungiest place we have ever stayed. The showers were so bad we didnt want to touch anything. The lower bunk bed is on the floor. Behind the double bed along the baseboards was mold and yuck. You get what you pay for. Location Location Location
Located on a busy road. We were not able to do our own laundry. The laundry was returned damp to still very wet which made travelling on in Ireland very uncomfortable. Not recommend…
Cozy, little hostel in beautiful location.
Staff did not care and applied the language barrier in response to questions staff had heavy colds and were unhygienic
Perfect location
6 minutes walking distance to Causeway. Quiet and very rural. 5 minutes drive to downtown.
Quite at Home!
The staff (Rober and Adam) could not have been more amiable and helpful and sitting around a kitchen table for breakfast made me feel quite at home. The accommodations are adequate and clean, although the bare minimum and in need of some upkeep. Great location and surroundings.
Rundown, but convenient location
The staff at Finn McCool's was really friendly and helpful. However they were occupying the main comfy couches on the property so they were not available for guests. I used the kitchen, laundry, bathrooms, and a bedroom and everything functioned adequately. The condition of the property is however very rundown, so do not expect a luxurious experience. The location is VERY convenient for Giant's Causeway and close to many other sightseeing locations.
Great hostel!
Great place! It was so close to the Giant's Causeway!
I loved the close proximity to the Giant's Causeway and the amazing views out the sunroom. As hostels go it was pretty good. Front desk was manned by a very friendly young woman who gave me all the information I needed. Breakfast was basic boiled eggs, toast, cereal, etc. Nothing special but it was filling.
Good Location
If you expect a fancy room with many amenities, or if you require squeaky clean spaces and a bountiful breakfast selection, this isn't the place for you. We knew this would be a relatively minimalist hostel, so we were prepared for it. The room was fine: safe and clean enough. The space itself was also adequate: room to cook your own meals, should you wish to; plenty of space to look out and watch the sunset. We didn't avail ourselves of the showers (only stayed one night; don't judge!), but the other bathroom seemed perfectly fine. The wifi worked fine throughout. The central draw of this hostel is that it is literally a 10 minute walk to the Causeway visitors' center, and about as close as you can possibly get to the site. As a result, it's not near the town of Bushmills, so what you gain in closeness to the Causeway, you lose in closeness to the restaurants etc. of the town. Overall, I would stay here again: the price was right, the staff was friendly, and the location was great.
Very good!
It was nice. The staffs are very kind and friendly. And Location is perfect. I went there by bus. The hostel is close to the bus stop and Giants Causeay entrance.
When we arrived we were charged a 2£ credit card charge. we arrived at the evening after a storm and the room had no electricity for the entire night and into late morning and there were no hot showers. towels in the guest house are extra charged. breakfast was very dull and the entire place is filled with passive aggressive signs that ask that you always clean after yourself and wash your own breakfast dishes. on the plus side the location is amazing. giant's causeway visitor center is a short walking distance and if you arrive by foot the entrance to the causeway is free.
Could easily be made nicer with better management
Wasn't expecting the Ritz but one of the poorer hostels condition wise i have stayed in, .some fresh paint and few fixtures repaired would lift it alot for alittle investment Positives :location excellent, decent wifi, price good, Negatives: no receipt unless u pay by card, then looking to charge £2 extra for credit card payment(illegal), cold tap missing head to turn on, in serious need of a lick of paint and a tidy up.
Nice hostel, close to the Giant's Causeway
Nice little hostel at walking distance from the Giant's Causeway and a couple miles away from the closest town. Friendly staff and nice amenities. They make you breakfast and serve at 8 am. Frozen meals available for dinner at very low costs. If you just need a bed to crash for the night, this is your place!
Great location. Friendly but not well maintained.
Great location. Very friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Relaxed. Building poorly maintained but functional. Staff lovely but disorganised. Worth it for the location. I walked to the giants causeway and saved £9. Don't expect 3 star accommodation and you won't be disappointed! !!
Very close to Giants Causeway
This is a small, semi-detached house converted into a hostel but it works! The rooms are kind of small and you would be a little small on personal space but as long as you get fun room-mates, you would be fine. The staff are very friendly and always happy to help. Breakfast is served every morning and depending on your chef for the day, it could be hit or miss! But it will definitely sort you out for the rest of the day. I would also not skip on breakfast because other than an expensive cafe at the Causeway, there is nothing nearby. I would stay here if you are totally focused on the Causeway and are going to be out for most of the day.
Great location but needs work & TLC
This could be a super property but it was disappointing. Location was great but property is ill maintained. Lack of cleanliness, organization and basic maintenance. Bathroom and porch held together with duct tape and staff is not very knowledgable but were friendly and tried. No real atmosphere among the clutter and piles of dirty laundry greeting you first thing in the door a turnoff. Breakfast decent, wifi seemed ok and good view from Solarium. With a little effort, this could have a lot more charm.

Staff engaging with good advice. Everyone, including visitors, happy to chat. More basic building but everything else makes up for it.
