Reminded me of staying at a B&B, very cozy!
It was small hotel, rustic and pretty. Old fashion
Comfortable older property, rooms are spacious, beds very comfortable. Very good value for Seward. Lodge is about 3 miles from Seward harbor on road to Exit Glacier. Very nice hosts.
While this may not be an upscale 5 star hotel, it was still nice, comfortable and clean. It was also cheaper than many other accommodations. The main thing though, was that Tod is so friendly, kind and helpful.
We had an awesome two night stay here. The bed was by far the best one I slept in on the whole trip. I didn't even want to get out of it in the mornings. It's right off the road to Kenai Fjords National Park, and it's just a few minutes away from downtown Seward. Check in was easy and parking is great. I would absolutely stay here again.
The lodge was built to look like it was there in the frontier days but is actually only about 13 years old. Beautiful interior and helpful staff, which is a husband and wife who live in the building. Location is excellent, being right before the entrance to Exit Glacier in Kenai N.P. Near to Seward .
The lodge is quiet and clean and has all the necessary amenities, however the only thing I don’t like is that the mattress and pillow is a bit flat and not bouncy.
No one at front desk unless it’s certain time of day. Bathroom small barely room to stand, gross. Wreaked of mold or mildew and looked like mold staina
Nice accommodation with essential facilities located near the town
Todd, the owner of the place, is very friendly and helpful.
.
Interesting, quirky, memorable!
Winner
The cabin was rustic but comfortable. The Salmon Bake Restaurant on the property was great. We slept well and I thought thee total package was a great value. I would stay here again.
Thought I had booked a room in the lodge, which looked very charming, but we got a cabin. The cabin turned out fine. Staff was helpful. Appreciated the coupon for the restaraunt next door.
Helpful staff. Our lodging was perfect for our group of 5.
Nice place close to the exit glacier.
Exit glacier lodge
We stayed in 2 different rooms on our stay(added a night a couple days before). Both rooms were great. The front desk person Todd was very helpful and friendly. I needed to check in super late due to when my flight arrived in Anchorage and they were very accomodating. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Seward!!
Rooms are very clean and welcoming and Todd was extremely helpful in providing recommendations to meet all our needs.
We enjoyed the lodge and the Salmon Bake right next door. Large front porch for sitting was nice too.
Highly recommend!
Clean rooms, good service, the restaurant was awesome with fantastic salmon and platter.
Great place to stay while you’re in Seward. It’s family-owned, well-maintained, highly accessible, and offers breathtaking 360-degree views just feet away from the lodge. Highly recommend
Great location when in Seward!
Nice cabin close to Seward
Friendly staff and great location for heading into Seward.
GREAT SPOT IN SEWARD
FIVE ADULTS (FAMILY) STAYED IN THE LOFT... QUEEN BED DOWNSTAIRS... THREE TWIN BEDS UPSTAIRS... NICE CLEAN BATHROÒM NICE SITTING AREA WITH TV...PLAYED CARDS HAD DINNER AT THE FAMOUS SALMON BAKE ON PROPERTY. IT WAS VERY GOOD! EXIT GLACIER NATIONAL PARK JUST A FEW MILES ON SAME ROAD. GREAT PLACE TO STAY!
Very personable staff. Room was immaculately clean.
This hotel is a bit outside of town but was very nice.. no complaints would probably stay in the main area of Seward just since there’s a lot of cool bars down there and we wouldn’t need to drive to and from town
It was a nice hotel, right on the edge of nature.
Very clean, very helpful staff.
Wonderful
The lodge was very quaint, clean and the host was very nice and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again, I wish my stay could have been longer!
Very nice place to stay.
Nice place to stay, enjoyed the room and surrounding area
Great accommodations and helpful advice and recommendations from Todd. Easily accommodated an abnormal check-in time and quality morning coffee. Great place to stay in Seward.
Great staff
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Exit Glacier Lodge in Seward, Alaska. The staff and owners were super friendly and helpful, offering great suggestions. The hotel was clean and quiet. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The towels were soft, fluffy, and had an amazing fabric softener smell. I would highly recommend it over any of the hotels in Seward. Dinner next door at Salmon Bake was also good.
Great location, great owner
Came up in July of 2024. Weather was overcast and sprinkled rain temperature around 55. Seward is a very short drive away. The view out front of the lodge was spectacular. Exit Glacier is a short 8 mile drive from the lodge. The owner met us at the front desk everyday and knew both of our names. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about things to do in the area. He gave us a coupon for the neighboring restaurant. Which we went to on our last night there and it was fantastic. Our room was well kept. No cobwebs in the corners or anything like most other places. Smelled great and the bed were super comfortable. Shower water was hot and plentiful. When my wife and i come to Alaska again we will absolutely stay at Exit Glacier Lodge again and you should too.
Very friendly staff. Easy check-in. Room was big, comfortable and clean. Beds were comfortable. Restaurant next door. We’d stay again
Very good
Very good
This is a great place for a quick overnight.
Very nice
Host were very nice and accommodating.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Exit Glacier Lodge in Seward, Alaska. The staff and owners were super friendly and helpful, offering great suggestions on where to go and what to see in and around the park. The hotel's close proximity to Kenai Fjords National Park is a huge advantage, making it easy to explore the area. The on-site restaurant, Alaska Salmon Bake, was fantastic. The food was well-prepared, and the service was top-notch. While the restaurant was excellent, it's also nice to know that there are plenty of other dining options and a good grocery store in Seward if needed. Overall, Exit Glacier Lodge provided a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
Old and smelled of mould - this was quite concerning. Lucky it was warm enough to leave the windows open all night. Soggy bed. Given a key for an old cabin and then another guest opened the door with another key! The manager didn’t apologise for that. Also was not helpful as we had arrived without a car at 10am and there was no leeway in getting in prior to 3pm checkin. Nothing to do but walk a main road in the area unless prior arrangements had been made.
Loved the loft
Great location just north of Seward. Very nice place would stay again anytime.
Great customer service!
Shower issues
Quiet and comfortable. The check-in was very easy and very friendly. Parking was adequate . I would not hesitate to stay there again.
I stayed at Exit Glacier Lodge with my family of 5. The property was quiet, and easy to access. My kids loved the loft with single beds. There was plenty of space for us there.
Fun trip
The lodge has cabins that have a little area to sit outside, really cute and the lodge is really close to Exit Glacier. I would recommend it and stay there again.
Nice Room
Very nice older property with large, high-ceiling rooms. For breakfast, go next door to Resurrection Roadhouse for excellent breakfast with a view.
We loved our stay Exit Glacier Lodge. All of the staff were so friendly. They recommended wonderful places to eat. The room was quaint and clean. We loved our stay there.
The place was great, and the people in charge were so incredibly nice. I have to say WOW! 10 of 10.
The lodge was very clean. The staff there were very friendly and accommodating. Great place to stay.
Rooms have very poor soundproofing. Especially for rooms on the first floor.
Basic but fine
Our cabin was a pretty basic plywood affair kind of tucked in a brushy spot but perfectly acceptable. Saw a moose in the parking lot!
The owners were very welcoming! It was an amazing stay!! Definitely would stay here again and again!!!
Glacier Exit Inn Rocks!!!!
Great one night stay at the Exit Glacier Inn. This family run hotel is a couple miles from the Main Street In Steward. Nice spacious rooms with refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The “Salmon Bake” restaurant is right next door. The food, bar, and interior of this restaurant is spectacular. I will definitely stay here again when I am in Steward.
Such a lovely family owned business. Our room was just as described. It was perfect for our 1 night stay with 2 13year old teenagers.
This was a great location for visiting the national park and Seward. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
This is what you would consider a classic Alaskan lodge. No frills, just necessities. We only stayed one night as we were heading to a train ride to catch a cruise the next day. The cabin we stayed in was small, but clean with comfortable beds. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Bed up against wall so hard to get in and out. No place to sit luggage and accessories other than on the floor. And no accommodations for seniors or handicapped as there are no grab bars in the bathroom or the shower. It wouldn’t take much to rectify these limitations and would have made our stay a lot more comfortable.
Todd was a great host.
Nice staff
My two adult sons and I spend the first night of our first trip to Alasak with Madison, Todd, and Samuel at the Exit Glacier Lodge. The property was clean, comfortable, and attractive and the owners were excellent hosts. They also recommended us to the Salmon Bake restaurant next door to the Lodge for dinner and Le Barn Appetit just up the road for some of the best crepes you'll ever experiend. We highly recommend them.
The manager/clerk was so friendly and welcoming. He gave us key local travelninformation about finding the salmon weir that I couksnr find online.
Cute place!
Cute little cabins outside of town!! Clean and met our needs. The staff were great! Restaurant was delicious!
Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The building interior and room was very clean. Check in was very easy and the staff was very accomodating. I would definitely stay here again.
Very nice place to stay
The staff were very friendly. Disappointed with condition of the cabins. It was clean but furnishings were not very nice. Ate at the on site restaurant and the lettuce in our salads was brown. Did not eat it. Suggest looking elsewhere to stay and dine.
The Innkeepers were very friendly and attentive. The room was basic but clean. The restaurant had amazing food, although it is only open 5-9 pm.
It is the most lovely and custom hotel/lodge and not at all close to road traffic noises. Beautiful and clean.
Outstanding property with an old time feel. Wonderful, professional helpful staff. Would love to stay here on our next trip to Seward!!!!
The lodge is first class as well as the manager, they make you feel very welcome upon arrival
Very beautiful lodge, friendly staff and close to great restaurant the exit salmon bake was a Diamond in the ruff
Great Alaskan atmosphere and wonderful Salmon Bake Restaurant for dinner right next door.
The couple who run the lodge are so nice and friendly. The rooms are nice and clean and the restaurant had great reviews (even from all the locals). So glad we choose Exit Lodge, got a nice card game in at the lobby with a family from Norway!
Nice place . Immaculately clean. Efficient staff . New building 2009. Great proximity to Exit Glacier and nice restaurants nearby
Great Stay!
This is a nice little family-owned hotel. It was super clean and comfortable. We had our best sleep of the entire trip here! We would stay again if ever in the area and recommend to our friends!
our stay was warm and welcoming. Todd and his family provided a great one night stay
Worth It
The location and cleanliness are spot on. It's disappointing that they don't have breakfast, but they did provide complimentary coffee and hot water. As someone who struggles with pain, the mattresses were decently comfortable. I recommend this place for comfort, friendliness, and location. It's not right in the middle of it all, but it's in a quiet, easy-to-access location. Suggestions for staff -- offer a restaurant discount for guests, provide breakfast options (even if it isn't much), and keep tissues in the bedrooms.
Walking through the main door, we were warmly greeted by name. The friendly owners and the ambiance was as if we were visiting our most favorite extended family members that we’ve not seen in a long time. Our room was very clean, had a pull down darkening shade (for those that struggle with the 24-hour daylight), small refrigerator, coffee maker, TV, basic toiletries, heater, fan, and extra bedding. We chose this location because it is quiet and removed from downtown Seward (which is just a few minutes drive away). Next door is a small restaurant which offers delicious Alaskan seafood (when they don’t close for the day due to lack of staff) and on the other side is a business that offers kayak experiences and a few other things. From this location, you have magnificent views of the mountain. If you want to see the ocean, possible marine life, and save hundreds of dollars, stay at this lodge, and then drive to and park in downtown Seward.
The management/owners were very friendly and helpful. A continental breakfast would have been very nice and cream instead of powder for coffee. Rooms are comfy and clean. I’d stay there again.
Don’t be misled by the exterior. This is Old building that has been restored and is very comfortable. Rooms are spacious, bed is comfortable and staff is very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
Great staff. Ownwer was warm and welcoming
Exactly as pictured. Enjoyed a peaceful night in cabin 1. Host was very accommodating and pleasant.
We enjoyed our stay here. Comfortable rooms and nice staff. Enjoyed a nice dinner next door at the Salmon Bake restaurant. Fun place to stay on our trip to Alaska. Would like to stay there again sometime.
Great place and stuff
Clean and comfortable
Clean and comfortable. Very nice people. A little struggle to carry our luggage up the steps but nice place. Everything we needed.
It would be helpful to have a transportation service available. Taxi used can get a bit pricey.
Cozy room, convenient location and awesome hosts. We enjoyed our stay here. Thank you!
The photo does not reflect what we received. We thought we were going to be in the lodge, but was instead a separate cabin. The cabin was quaint but quite small and bed was on platform stationary against the wall, very hard for mobility for person trapped against the wall. Not enough electrical outlets for charging devices.
the ownersare super friendly and very helpful about the property, the area and all of the activities nearby, including restaurants
Clean. nice staff.
A real treat. Very laid back and privately owned. Plus a great restaurant next door.
This is convenient stop after exit glacier visiting. The beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean. Front desk gentleman was friendly.
The staff was wonderful! Very welcoming and just all around good people!
Wonderful staff
