Nice

Okay but, could be much better

This resort was really nice in the lobby but, the rooms do not match this presence at all. In my room there were stains on the chairs and couch and the room felt as if it hadn’t been updated in years. The highlight was the great location and view of the ocean from the balcony. However, this quickly dissipated once I turned back around and looked into the outdated room once again.

We were there celebrating our 45th Anniversary. Even though the weather was not the greatest we found plenty to do. Everyone was helpful and friendly.

Ease of checking in. Many amenities, spacious suite with comfortable beds and very clean. Free cocktail hour and made to order breakfast a plus. Will definitely stay here again.

The site did not mention this site was a Resort and I was not happy to pay a resort fee.

We went during the off season so it was much quieter. Fantastic views of the ocean from our balcony. We did have an issue though. Our room was located on the left side of the building and from the 9th floor we could hear a loud screeching noise coming from an air handler on the roof of the attached conference center. It was so loud you could hear it through the windows. I called down to the front desk to ask them if it was possible we could move rooms and was immediately told that would be an upcharge. I asked why that would be an upcharge and how much that would cost then the lady suddenly says there is a room available on the 6th floor. Front desk people need additional customer service training. Thankfully that was the only issue we had. Some of the outdoor furniture around the pool was in need of repairs. The included breakfast was good. Overall a nice hotel with fantastic oceanfront views.

Myu friend and I had a girl's weekend. We had the best time!! All of the staff were so nice and polite.

I loved to stay in Embassy Suits by Hilton a lot. The property is right on the beach. We stayed in room with a view on beach and it was a memorable experience. The bed in room was very comfortable and we slept well. The pool area was nice and we use pool every day. The best thing was the breakfast with a lot of choices. Definitely we will come back again soon.

We had a great time. The property is on the beach and all rooms can see the ocean and have balcony. The restaurant is good and the Brewer Restaurant is also next door. We loved the breakfast too. It was a great quick getaway for my wife and I.

Quick little overnight trip to visit some family down in Myrtle Beach. The check-in line was long but moved quickly. Delores was excellent! The bathtub drain was very slow, so we told the front desk on our way out. The next morning, everything was great! It was very nice to be able to walk on the beach in the morning, and not be on the highway.

The location was incredible since it was Oceanside.

Clean but……..

We stayed here about 20yrs ago and it was just as clean as it was then, which was a plus. The only issue was the bed and the pillows. The bed was super HARD and the pillows were very small and looked like someone shoved a jacket in a pillow case. With the amount that you pay to stay here, the bed and pillows should be more comfortable.

It was my 75th B'DAY. Was on the 19th floor. AWESOME!!?

Wife is handicapped. Toilet in bathroom was very low and difficult for her to use. Had to ride the elevator to lobby from 7th floor to access the handicap equipped restroom near front desk often. Ice machine not working on 7th floor. Only 3 elevators to a sold out resort = long wait at times.

This was my second time going there and the breakfast was not that good at all the food was cold and not as much to choose from as last time we stay there.

Bring blankets!

Everyone on staff was incredible kind and helpful- amazing pool area! Great beach access. If you are planning on using the pull-out BRING blankets!

Beautiful rt by the beach..way to many children they were in the Jacuzzi all in the pool I wish there were times or ways to separate families and adults for periods or moments there is a whole children's section and no children in it??? For the cost you want to enjoy your entire visit every where it should mention how family oriented the resort is

Wonderful place

Great resort! Breakfast buffet is amazing and the view of the ocean is breath taking!

Activity love the free breakfast and cocktail reception everyday free shuttle to other areas around site, pool and beach was very very nice was a little disappointed on some issues we had with the room as our door didn't close properly and was left unlocked 2 days in a row also drain in shower was clogged and repaired a day later sliding door to the balcony with rusted shut had to have maintenance coming to open it reported to manager and was compensated for it, black drum Brew pub was fabulous. Would definitely do a return trip 🙂

Best vacation ever, hotel was clean and safe. The pools were amazing! Our kids really loved it! Suite was beautiful. The breakfast everyone morning was on point. Staff were friendly, food was well stocked, fresh and tasty. Parking was easy. Could not fault this hotel. We didn’t want to leave lol

First impressions, the check-in was very disjointed. Although I was able to show email confirmation that my booking was for a King Oceanview suite I was told that since I booked through Expedia the letter assigned to my booking would not be Full Oceanview but partial ocean view. I offered the option to upgrade which I declined because it was like double paying. I was then informed that I would have to pay to check in early which was something new to me as I have never paid early to check in. I realized that this Embassy Suites was a part of a retreat and that explained the circus affect around the experience. Thanks to Delores giving exceptional customer service despite all of the confusion around the room I was able to pre-check which was not offered by first front desk agent. I finally got into my partial ocean view room a view hours later. Rudeness and Indifference was the theme with of course the exception and not the rule of a few professional employees Delores at the front desk, and Carol the concierge station along with the entire staff at the hotel restaurant Coastal Grill Cafe! Tiffany was at the front desk the morning of the 6th of August was extremely unhelpful borderline rude and flat out lied when asked the name of Bell Man. Tiffany did not display the professionalism or customer service expected for an Embassy Suites brand. Jason the Bell Man also lack professionalism. I would not stay here or recommend this property.

Very Kid friendly environment.

The pool area was nice and comfortable. The hotel itself is a little older and not as clean as we would have liked. There is very limited and expensive dining on the property, so that was difficult. The room was ok, a little dingy.

Great stay

What a beautiful resort! Wow! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The resort and surrounding areas are very well maintained and the staff if super friendly. It felt very safe and I didn’t worry when my teenagers asked to explore without parents. We’re already planning our next stay. Can’t wait to return!

Easy parking

We arrived at 3:30 and waited in line for check in for 20 minutes. We were told our room wasn’t ready. We waited 2 hours for our room to be ready, after checking in with the front desk 3 times. They magically found another room for us after I begged. I was also charged twice. Very frustrated overall! The location is nice and the property is clean.

Pool was very nice, atmosphere at Black Drum Brewery was amazing!

Family vacation

The property view was beautiful and location was secluded and nice. Overall, the family had a great time. The drawbacks were the rooms were not thoroughly cleaned (mostly the bathroom) and the toilet was horrible with flushing. It should be noted this property only has a single elevator access for guests (3 elevators for 20 floors with 12-15 rooms per floor) which made trying to maneuver very difficult. People often had to wait for 30 min to gain access to get on an elevator that wasnt full during peak hours (7a - 12p). Check in staff was very friendly and helpful. Be prepared to be overly taxed on everything (i.e. Resort fee, resort tax, parking fee, parking tax, guest room, guest room tax, and occupancy fee). I was literally individually taxed for every charge per night which made the overall stay not worth the price or value. Also, there is not "water park" as described. Embassy shares their pool access with 2 other Hilton properties so they call their shared pool area (Currents) a water park but its a large pool with a few kid friendly slides and splash area, bar, and a DJ which was entertaining for all ages but if youre looking for a traditional water park...be warned.

I loved that it was in a gated resort.

For the price, the resort was a disappointment. The room was not clean, there was broken items and filth. When the bedding was changed, it had stains on it that the housekeeping tried to cover will the pillows. There were multiple dangerous sections of the floor in the lobby with broken flooring. The smoke detector in the room had duct tape over it, the couch had visible stains, and the cover to the breaker panel had a degusting amount of "dust" within it and visible. This was a huge disappointment for us. When we told the front desk, instead of offering any type of compensation, they told us that we would receive an option to give the hotel a review.

Me an my family had the best experiences of a lifetime, thisnis the reaper that we will stay at from now on.

Worst experience ever!!!! Embassy Suite is definitely downgrading this was our favorite place.: Room#1- soiled pull out bed, strong unpleasant odor/ dirty shower Room#2- A/C unit not properly working, hot unpleasant night Room#3- Finally got it right after having to relocate over and over again We have never experienced such unprofessional non caring people… Just when I thought it was over Ms. Delores comes and saves the day and she wasn’t even management!! She was very apologetic and she actually was sympathetic to our situation and handled it very well. Embassy Suites have always been our go to up until now…When I tell you I felt defeated this weekend due to everything else that I was going thru, Delores for the win, it was like she put herself in our situation and handled things the way that she would want things to be if it was her and her family. Honestly more people are needed like her because we were on vacation and she told us to go have a good time and she will take care of the rest….And she kept her word thanks again Ms. Delores

Some many amenities and great location!

Everything was ok but if the are gonna sell Volleyballs should Allow in pool and not allow the squishy balls they hurt worse than volley ball If it’s a rule should be listed somewhere and was Annoying the doors were closed to go out side had to go out main entrance and need more seating less cabanas it you have to get there an hour early to get chair and gratuity added to ticket was little much for the quality of pool food and drinks at 15 a pop was to expensive for not strong drinks

We loved our stay but accommodations could be updated. Our bathroom comode never worked well. Someone came and checked it but still didn’t flush properly.

The view from the room was amazing.

Hotel is good but checkout needs improvement

Great stay! My only complaint is the luggage carts. The only way to access them is to use the hotel service. Expect 2-4hours for service during checkout. As a large family with little kids, this made our checkout miserable and we took 10+ trips down the stairs from the top floor.

Outside of one the pool being a little overly aggressive. Our stay was very relaxing. The view was great.

Air conditioning in the lobby not working There was a hard crusted something in the bathtub in the shape of chipped concrete ?

I liked the location of the property next to the ocean, close access to Tanger, close access to the highway/calabash places. The room was fine, but I take two points off for the outlandish early check in rates--$70-$100 is a disgrace to those of us loyal to Embassy. Been staying in them for ages and never faced such an insensitive policy. Front desk agent, Linda, though, was a gem. Will stay again, but won't pay the ridiculous early check in fee?

The wait for an elevator is very annoying they only have 3 and going down for breakfast could be a 20 minute or more wait. If you are a big person the showers are very narrow.

Too CROWDED

This was our first visit. It was incredibly crowded at the pool, waiting for an elevator or trying to get a cocktail. Cleanliness was not great. The hotel overall needs an update.

Let down for holiday getaway.

We had such high hopes for this trip because we have heard amazing things about Embassy NMB! However, the air conditioning not working properly was a huge let down at a Hilton resort! Our room and all general amenity areas were extremely hot, which made it hard to cool down. The pool was very busy and the only way to get a chair was to wake early in the morning and stand in line for 30-minutes. The elevators did not offer enough capacity for the large number of travelers in summer with beach/pool and luggage. At times people were waiting 45-minutes for an elevator. Communication on amenities was not clear. We were unable to find access to pools and restaurants as advertised.

Every thing seems excellent.

I have stayed at this resort many times. This week was especially crowded given it was a holiday. The management team did a good job maintaining and entertaining the crowds. We love the pool DJ. There were a couple of instances where there weren’t towels available for our room, which is to be expected due to the full capacity. The bar staff both inside and outside are always great. The food in the coastal grill is by far better than black drum. The margarita pizza I had at the embassy was superb and far exceeded expectations. Also the onion rings are the best on the beach so kudos to the coastal grill staff!! We have never had a good experience with food at the black drum. However the atmosphere and presence is appealing to resort guests. The outside area of the embassy is well maintained and feels very upscale…BUT…the pool bathrooms are disgusting and have a terrible smell we won’t use them, and have NEVER used them in the two years we’ve been coming. There are no showers or foot washing stations near the pool. The only place to wash anything off is at the beach entrance. Unfortunately there are only 2 water hoses there. No shower. So if there is a line for using those, people just bypass it altogether and go straight to the pool to “rinse off”. This is NOT good. The pool gets filthy fast with the large crowds and excessive sunscreen wearers. Not to mention all the sand. Please add rinsing stations near the pool. Lastly there aren’t nearly enough chairs by the pool.

This hotel has a lot of problems from delayed room readiness, sink being clogged and had to be fixed in the first hour, the door battery of the room literally died and had no way of getting in the room, the elevator was a hot mess with buttons not working and major crowd problems, the cleanliness of the hotel was not by far up to par for embassy suites we have stayed at.

My room didn’t have towers, the key didn’t work because needed a new battery and my food got cold, and thanks to that we miss the fireworks. I paid almost 700 per one night I’m very disappointed.

Beautiful pool area, free breakfast with stay and convenient location. Beach access was great and not crowded… hotel amenities like beach towels, gym, and indoor/outdoor pool were all great.

The water area and pools next to hotel along we the beach made it so easy to entertain the kids.

Not impressed

Not up to the usual Embassy Suites level. The staff seemed willing but lacked a lot of training. The front desk had to walk in the back office and check for every question. The ice machine was broken all weekend. Now when you rent an ocean view with a balcony for very high rates a night, you might want a working ice machine for evening cocktails on the balcony. The bathroom sink faucet wasn’t working properly and the housekeeping staff were insistent on getting into our room before checkout time. Basically, all of this spells a lack of attention to detail by the management and any one of these alone is no big deal but together say that training is almost nonexistent at this location.

This property was recently renovated inside and out. The property and atmosphere were awesome. The food and drinks were delicious and made everything convenient. The property is safe and secured while still 5 minutes from the boardwalk and exhibits. This property is for families, couples, or business. I strongly recommend Embassy Suites!!

AC couldn’t keep up. Elevators are too busy because of all the condos and other hotels allowed access. The first night there was a rotten smell, the room wasn’t ready for us after check in time, and they did not clean the pull out couch. It had crackers in there. 3 hours later at 10 pm they came up to clean. The guy pulled off the dirty sheets only, left the mattress cover on, didn’t vacuum the crackers or clean it.

The hotel was awesome, the people were nice, room very clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The only thing iI didn't like about Breakfast, it wasn't warm enough. Turn up the warmers. The other thing i didn't like the air conditioning made noise if it was set at a lower temperature. I will be back and i recommend this hotel! I give it a 10
