You Get What You Pay For, Maybe Less
Unfortunately I cannot recommend this hostel. I've stayed in many hostels and I do not need many things in order to be comfortable. I'm also a very deep sleeper. However, the bed I slept on was the worst I've experienced--I felt every spring through the worn fabric. The bunks shake everytime someone moves below you, and the couple that live/work there were sleeping under me. They always talked until 3 or 4 in the morning and at least once they were doing something sexual. I understand the difficulties of living in a hostel, but customers also need to sleep. The rest of the staff were helpful but don't try to make you feel welcome. Alternatively, it's not a hotel so it doesn't bother me. They were not rude, just don't expect to make friends. The good news is that otherwise customers will get what they pay for. It's very cheap and the conditions of the rooms and towels show that. There was hot water six out of the seven days I was there. The showers, bathrooms, and rooms are clean, and there is a washing machine. Nothing was stolen and generally speaking it was what one should expect forthe price. If you are very easy-going, cheap, or need a place last minute, Elements will be okay. It's not dangerous and it's clean. Don't expect to be comfortable.
