Very happy with our stay at Econo Lodge. Room was spacious, clean, well appointed and well thought out. Nice neat grounds, quiet and felt safe. Tick, tick, tick. Has been nicely upgraded given the basic structures traditional motels have had to work with. We always enjoy a traditional motel stay on a road trip between Sydney and Melbourne and this stay ticked all the boxes of a good stay. Easy access on off Hume hwy.

If youre looking for safe, dog friendly, and solid, this place will easily meet all expectations. Would definitely stay here again.

Well serviced and recently renovated. Suburb ambiance though only the industrial estate location detracts. Very helpful staff with great dinner and breakfast recommendations. We loved the pool

A clean calm and tranquil stop off the highway and very welcoming to both the two and four legged members of your family. A very welcome break from the road trip. NB no real hotel dining/meal service - but so many good local options including the pub across the way. Personally I’d take the clean and good quality rooms the Lodge has over any meal options!

If im ever back in the area, I'll definitely stay again. 🙂

This was our first accomodation on a 4 day car trip with 3 adults and a dog. We were really pleased with the friendliness of staff, quality of unit, cleanliness, parking, pet friendly and amazing Bistro restaurant across the road (excellent selection, price and generous serving sizes). Best pet friendly accommodation on our entire trip.

A little pricey for what you get. Place has a pool but you get charged to use towels. Room had a previous guests shirt left in the wardrobe which made Me wonder how well the rooms are cleaned when guests check out.

We had a lovely stay on our way between Sydney and Melbourne. I would highly recommend if you need a place to stay with your dog. The staff were wonderfull, the room was a good size, very clean and super quiet.

Very valiant location for a family function

Comfortable overnight stay

The room was clean and spacious, as was the bathroom. All important considerations for a comfortable night stay. We did have to get the milk from the reception as it was not in the fridge. There were no utensils in the room though I'm sure they would have happily provided it if we had asked as reception was friendly and obliging.

Room was very clean , no stale smells fresh and tidy , no bugs enjoyed the stay

Opposite a Tavern with good food and near an independent service station with cheaper than usual fuel.

Room was clean and well presented. Only thing I would comment on is that there was no milk in the fridge for a coffee. This may have been available at reception but given we were very time poor we didn't find out

Close to places and pub across road even but overpriced. Has all the Foxtel channels you can normally have at home and internet was good too. Plenty room in the bathroom for us.

Service was very friendly and efficient, rooms super clean, and bathrooms recently renovated. Overall condition of the property really good Loved that they allowed pets that was super helpful for us. Would definitely stay again.

The property was small but the room was clean this motel is on the main road easy access to the highway the staff was friendly. I had to laugh at the sign to limit showers to 3 minutes lol I cant remember ever taking a 3 minute shower in my life.

Avoid. The room itself was fine, but there was an issue which meant no hot water so no showers in the morning. Just told “nothing I can do, can’t get the plumber here till Monday”. Was accused of blackmailing them when we said something needs to be done or we will be leaving a bad review. Things happen but it’s how you deal with them; and you dealt with them terribly.

Cold night in Wodonga

Very cold night but could not get complex (!) electric blanket to work. Two of the spare blankets not clean. Some mould in shower. Otherwise reasonably well presented and equipped. Very convenient to good pub/restaurant opposite. Staff member was friendly. Helped set slow aircon.

Room size was good. Furniture was convenient. Aircon was good. Curtains were good at blocking out light. Access to the complex was nice and easy from the Freeway. Showerhead was wonky.

Nice spot. Good value. Friendly service.. I will return here.

Friendly service; clean and comfortable basic facilities; pet-friendly room. A little noisy on a busy Friday/long weekend night. Lots for keen puppy ears to pick up and bark at. Unfortunately the microwave did not work.

The property is okay for the price and location. Rooms are much smaller than they look on the website but are functional. The wifi does not work in the rooms and the washing machine was broken (and it was Easter so no laundries open). The cleaning staff were lovely and hardworking but never reached our room until late afternoon when we had returned for the day. So our room was only cleaned once in our 5 night stay. They clearly need more staff. It was a decent stay for the price but wifi shouldn’t be advertised when it clearly isn’t offered (see other reviews).

Easy to stay in this motel with your pet

The staff member was lovely and welcoming. It has a pool as well as a grassy area for dogs. The room was very clean and the bathroom was very modern and spacious. Definitely recommend especially for dog owners!

We stayed for only a few nights due to our stay being cut short due to lockdown. The check in facility was quick and easy with the host being very accommodating. Our room was great, clean and had plenty of room to move around. The room was very quiet but had some issues with cold draft coming through the door at nighttime. Great heating and modern bathroom. Would highly recommend and we will be staying here again when we visit Wodonga next.

Only improvement I could think of was to put a little UHT container of milk in the fridge for guests- some people like milk in their tea and coffee

Liked being able to have our small dog with us, and the convenience of the grassed area just across from the car park. Spacious modern bathroom, large comfortable bed.
