My 35th anniversary, unforgettable ❤️

We weathered a freak storm together and the owner of the motel was very gracious by putting us up in another establishment at no extra cost .

Nice stay for the weekend. Perfect room for the 2 of us.

We stayed 2 nights. The other guest were quiet for the most part. But, the housecleaning folks were very loud and being on vacation with no wake-up time was very disturbing. These ladies would slam the doors. Taking very loud. Moving furniture around while we were sleeping or trying to sleep. The BEDS were very very uncomfortable. The other issue is we had NO HOT water. Wow. Imagine that !!! Probably will have to not book this motel again. We were in room 17

Location is perfect. I wish the beds are queen size. I hope they update the electric

Perfect Get-away for me and my Granddaughter!!

This was an unplanned trip for me and my grand daughter (6). Everything about the area felt very safe, #1 priority, though we don’t go out after dark. We walked the town multiple times. The gentleman at the front office was quick to resolve any issue we had and answer any questions. My gdaughter enjoyed having her own room to play and sleep in. We loved the pool and the location, and the price was right. A quick walk to the beach, rides, ice cream across the street, excellent restaurant right next door (Hang Ten) We will be back! Dry Dock Inn, keep up the awesome work!

great place

Awesome Getaway

Loved our stay at Dry Dock Inn. Our room was in the back and secluded. Loved the location. We could walk to everything we wanted to and left the truck in the lot. Boardwalk attractions were close. Staff and service was awesome! Room was clean. Definitely will stay again.

Very easy online check-in process and great communication via text! My friend and I stayed in an adorable room that was perfect for the two of us for a few days. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

The place was very neat and clean when we arrived (aside from a piece of gum stuck to the toilet seat). The room set up was nice and spacious. Loved having a fridge, microwave, and a sink area stocked with plates, cups, qnd utensils! The location was convenient and safe, places to eat, the beach, and broadwalk were all within walking distance. Will definitely be using this site again for future trips to Carolina Beach!!!

It's a lovely place but to pay that much and sleep in plastic sheets. I won't do it ever again. I don't know why these smaller accommodations think people care for microfiber sheets. Plastic sheets!! I can t do it

Wow! Super cute updated property walking distance to the beach and the boardwalk. Awesome online check in process! I am officially a reformed AirBnBer! We had a room with two bedrooms. The kiddos shared a room with two double beds. They even had their own TV. The mini fridge was super cute and just what we needed. The room was super clean and smand liked great upon arrival. We didn’t use the grills but they are available. We used the pool and the kids had a blast. We love Carolina Beach and have stayed at other properties in the area. None of the other places were this nice yet they cost almost double. We highly recommend Dry Dock Inn and will definitely be back!

Perfect couple's getaway

I cant gush enough about how cute this place is! If you're looking for bells and whistles this is not the place for you, but if you want a quaint room with excellent service, functional ammenities, and small details that make the stay perfect; this is the place for you. They have a cute little game area, well maintained pool, vending machines, and you can tell it was recently updated and well cared for. Next time I come back, this is where I am going to stay. Also, it is within walking distance of everything you need including the boardwalk, beach, and plenty of restaurants.

Great location

Clean and comfortable

Convenient to beach, boardwalk, and restaurants. Room was clean and had been mostly renovated with lvp, cute appliances and new vanity in bathroom. The shower/tub and faucet were ready for replacement. Bed was comfortable but the polyester bedding made me feel hot and sticky. We stayed on top floor and some of the deck/stair treads and railing were uneven and missing the non-slip surface. I was a little wary of the totally digital check- in, but it worked out ok. Overall, good stay. Great place to watch Thursday fireworks!

Clean but very basic.Good TV service though

Property is an older motel that has been brought back to life. A short block away from the water but still very much feels like ocean front. Close to restaurants all within walking distance. Our stay was in a two bedroom apt style unit. All updated and new. Stayed two nights and wish we could have stayed longer.

Bathroom is very smalll, can’t two people use at the same time, room is small, you can here upstairs, next doors.

The rooms are too small for that price.

I love staying here when I visit Carolina Beach. It’s very clean and the decor is modern and cozy. Love it!

Highly recommended for quick stays!

It’s a very small room but perfect for what I needed. Was easy to access and had all the amenities I needed including a decent sized refrigerator. Check in with code was super easy too. Nice pool on site although I didn’t personally use. Perfect view of fireworks too from the beach! This location will remain on my radar for return trips!

Good location and cute hotel

Very cute motel with a nice location only steps from the beach. It was quiet and the check in process was very easy. There is also a little games corner and the pools looked nice. The only things we didn’t love was we got booked to a very narrow room so the bed was turned on the side like a daybed which was a bit odd. It looked like there were other rooms with way more space. The air conditioning also left the room feeling quite humid.

The check-in process was seamless…missing the human touch but very convenient. The property was recently renovated, it looks nice and it was very clean. The property has 3 little outside niche’s, 1 for grilling, 1 for gathering around and the other had ping pong and cornhole. There are 2 pools on the property as well. Overall a great stay and the price was reasonable. The walk ability was great as well!

The check-in process (digital) and room entry were very easy. I sent a text prior to arrival and got a quick response. There was a property manager on site at arrival who answered my question about parking. My two granddaughters and I stayed in the premium double queen room. It was very spacious. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of towels, toiletries, etc. All in all, we were very impressed with with the property and staff. This was our to stay at this property and we have declared the Dry Dock Inn our hotel of choice in Carolina Beach.

It was a lovely stay . So good in communication. The stay was clean and a hop and skip from the beach . Location could not be any better than the hotel it self ! Just beautiful .

Second time staying. Off season. It is a non-smoking property. It is not posted very well. So heads up. They do not take AAA or AARP. Rate was very reasonable. Definitely would stay again.

Very cute motel. You can tell its been recently remodeled and was done really nicely. Even though it was the off season so they didnt have anyone at the front office, the staff we did encounter was extremely nice and seemed very proud of their work in remodelng (as they should be). I was nervous about there not being an office person for clock in and out but it was seamless and easy through their text system.

Just a block from the beach + what a steal

Wow! To be this close to the beach + be this cheap. I figured there was a catch. Actually, this newly renovated place is under new ownership + management. Cute beachy, retro feel. You can tell it has come a long way and they are continuing to improve. Customer service was fantastic, especially considering the personnel was younger. Very professional and friendly. The room has everything you really need and what you don't have, you are just walking distance from restaurants, little shops and of course the beach. The only suggestions would be upgrading the tiny window a/c units, as the air comes out cold but it doesn't seem to circulate and since no vent in the bathroom, humidity gets stuck in the room the entire time, a simple chair in the room otherwise nowhere to sit except the bed + a new shower head (this one was pretty old and grimy but still works!). Again, for the price and locale, it is a steal and there's an outdoor pool a gaming area + ample parking. We would definitely return.

I enjoyed my stay here. The area has some wear & tear but other than that, the rooms are very neat. I enjoyed how the beach, Boardwalk. and restaurants distance were all walking distance. I hope to come back☺️

The updates were obvious and unexpected. The negatives were no closet, only 1 chair to sit in and the constant walking of people in the room above was bothersome as you could hear every step over and over.

I didn't like the amount of rude neighbors staying up all night outside and smoking, which made our room smell but that is no fault of dry dock.

We had an amazing stay at Dry Dock. Staff were very friendly and checked in with us everyday. This hotel was quiet and very cozy. Everything was located around you, and walking distance to the beach! Cant wait to book again.

Feels like ‘home’, rooms are fully renovated, we liked the style, easy access to the beach, wonderful welcome by the owners, we highly recommend this place, great deal for a weekend at the beach without spending too much on accommodation.

Nice outdoor area to sit by the fire . Also games you can play. So close to the boardwalk, beach, and restaurants . Will def recommend this place to family and friends !

Close enough to the beach and boardwalk to be convenient but far away enough that it was quiet. It's an older hotel so some wear in the building and the parking lot but overall a great experience. Would book again.

Nice place to stay

Overall stay was average, Cameron with the front desk was super helpful and kind. The location was within walking distance of the beach and a lot of restaurants. There has been some renovations done to the property and still room for more improvement. Overall great place to stay if you’re wanting a quick weekend getaway.

Front desk was amazing. Room was clean and honestly for the price, it was fantastic. Most hotel rooms were double the cost per night in that area, so this was a bargain. Walking distance to beach and restaurants. Do opt for an upgraded room, as they have been remodeled. Will definitely visit again.

Although we only stayed one night, everything went so smooth it was great! We were able to check into our room easily and everything provided worked perfectly for our trip! Definitely recommend and will come back!

Great staff

The staff are friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The rooms are charmingly decorated and clean. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the beach from the inn, and it’s only a very short walk to cafés, restaurants, and the boardwalk. This was my fourth time staying at Dry Dock Inn, and I will definitely be returning again.

It was affordable recently renovated and easily to request accommodations!

We had a great time the pool was so refreshing and not to crowded. The family above us walked so hard we thought they would be coming though the roof. It was our first morning and where sleeping in after a long day traveling and getting unpacked.

I booked last minute, I just went to the beach and decided to stay a night it was so beautiful. Docks inn had availability so I stayed there. I was a little worried but it was worth my while. It was clean, quiet and safe. The front desk clerk was awesome.

While the Dry Dock Inn appeared to be a little older, the rooms had been remodeled, they were clean and the staff was very friendly. It was very close to attractions we wanted to visit. It was a very good value!

Not worth the money

Do not come here unless you are ok with a basic, no frills motel. The website shows cute revamped rooms and this is not accurate. For the nightly price you would expect a comfy bed and clean room. They gave about 25% effort into making this motel an upgrade. Do yourself a favor and go to a hotel, That way you can have a cozy bed, ice, room service and a clean room. You guys need to try harder, the shower nozzle was broken, the doors do not shut properly, we had a large cockroach in our room, the coffee maker half worked, the guest above us were so loud and you could hear every step they took!! We dealt with it but my gosh, with the $750 I spent for 2 nights I should have just rented an entire house!!

Need a blackout curtain on front of the shades and also 1 or 2 chair in the room would be great. Family with young childrens should be on the lower level to leave the other sleep in peace! All in all good stay and practicle

This hotel is located about 3 minutes from Carolina Beach.There are no ice machines or ice buckets. provided We were told we could purchase a bag of ice for $7.00! So when you arrive off the road trip to get there be prepared. Being older I noticed that there are no shower grab bars, the tubs are narrow, no phones to reach the front desk in your room.The have 2 pools but do not have beach towels for this purpose. Not quite the relaxing get away we planned. However, kudos to the photographer who took the pics for their advertising. Those looked charming.
