Clean place and great staff. I really like the sauna!
Staff and Serivice were great. The suana was a great addition.
incredible design and management
Had to do the pod/ capsule hotel experience while in Japan and this was perfect- clean, gave us pajamas, slippers, towels, it was cool! Bed was comfortable, pillow at first I was bummed but after a minute, realized it was AWESOME! Slept great. Didnt partake in the sauna, I was way too tired but seems cool. Near the station so that was easy enough- probably could’ve walked to shibuya but I’m disabled and lazy, so we just used the subway instead. Definitely recommend!
Good location for the price, storage area is a bit small but that's it.
This is a great place if you need a rest but would not recommend for long duration travelling due to the mandatory daily check out quite early in the day. You must leave and come back during 10-12 which for some late risers is an inconvenience. Other than that it is a nice rest stop for a few nights. Staff was great and it is located right by the transit station.
sauna is perfect after a long day of walking!!! cleanliness is top quality as well
Right next to Ebisu station, but somehow no train noise. Lovely spot, and the sauna makes for a great post-roast sleep. Started and ended my Japan tour in Tokyo and stayed both times. Wonderfully convenient.
It was a cheap place to stay, it was more comfortable than we expected. There is no where to lock luggage. There are small lockers where you can put valuables. Staff was friendly
The good: Some of the staff were very friendly. (...and some weren't.) The bedding and the pillow were very comfortable. The private shower that I used was hot and had nice water pressure. Some of the other tenants were considerate. (...and some weren't.) While the hotel apparently requires you to turn in your key every time you leave, this apparently isn't enforced, thank goodness. The bad: Having to check out every day from 10am to 2pm forced me to schedule my days (and my meals) around this block of time. The capsules looked and felt pretty old, and they were about as narrow and low as any I've been in. (I couldn't actually get out of the capsule without picking up my foot to lift it over the lip of the capsule; I did this nearly every time I got out, aside from the one time I backed out of the capsule...which wasn't any more convenient.) There's a big, white metal box in the capsule; at first you might look at it (from the outside) and think, "oh, maybe there's a TV in the capsule." But no...it's just a big, white metal box, taking up space in the interior of your capsule. The sinks in the bathrooms were hard to use, what with them being tiny, in a corner and with a faucet and a paper towel dispenser over them. Two of the three toilets on my floor sprayed cold water.
Very close to the train station to easily access shibuya.
The location is excellent. Its so close to the station
The best pod hotel I’ve ever stayed at
Perfect location.
The location is perfect, the staff very helpful and friendly. There was a tiny bit of mold in the shower door, but it wasn't a big deal considering the weather was very humid.
It was cheap, the staff were so nice to keep my bags for late checkout! It’s right near Ebisu station!
Good capsule
Youre going here for the sauna. It's a good reason to go. It's modest but that's not a bad thing.
This was a very good value, so that’s a huge plus. But the property had a funny odor all around and the bedroom area was very hot at night. The air conditioning wouldn’t work or wasn’t on or something and the staff said they couldn’t do anything about it. The lounge area was small, crowded and uncomfortable. The showers were incredible. The flow and water pressure was one of the best showers I’ve ever had. I would stay here again, but only for the incredible rate. It’s good if you want to spend as little time as humanly possible at the hotel. Other capsule hotels in the area are significantly more comfortable, but 3 times as expensive.
It was great. Meeting new travelers from around the world was pretty cool. Close to restaurants and train station. Will definitely come back to stay here!
Buy an extra towel or two if you plan to sauna. They charge for the towels, but it's worth it.
Close to the metro and incredibly great price for what you’d pay for.
The capsule for sleeping was comfortable. From the perspective of a man my size that is difficult to find. The hotel was clean and honestly quiet at night, which I didn't expect for how close it is to Ebisu station. It was also dark and cool in the capsule overnight, which added to the comfort, especially in the Summer. It's in a very convenient location.
It was my first capsule hotel experience and I stay just one night.
Was much older and worse than the photos!
This is an excellent property for younger people. Not so much for an older one like me (65). The issue being the design of the sleeping pod. There is a curved portion to house a container of some kind. As a result, I always hit my head against it every time I go in or out. The premises are excellent. Clean and have amazing facility for the price. So close to the station.
Literally a five minute or less walk from Ebisu station, which was definitely nice and convenient. The staff here were what really made the stay special. It's a capsule hotel, so I obviously didn't expect like MUCH but the staff at the front desk were always so kind and welcoming and offered to help with bags and whatnot. I will say the ONLY downfall was that to get to the hotel you HAVE to climb one flight of stairs (no elevator) and when you have a lot of big luggage that can be challenging. But overall would definitely recommend!
It's a great option for solo travel! I had a pleasant stay and enjoyed my Starbucks card every day as part of my breakfast!
Recommended for solo travelers.
It was close to the Ebisu train station, and a 7Eleven a cross the street. The personal was really good and they speak english so no problem with that regard. Everything was clean. it was an amazing hotel.
it States there is air conditioning. There is no air conditioning in the capsules themselves only shared areas. Quite hot when trying to sleep
Good and friendly staff
good
Loved the sauna .
Staff were great. This is a great location on the Yamamoto line. The showers and sauna were posh and perfect. I found overall that the place was beautifully designed and I was just really impressed with the place and felt perfectly comfortable here. I would definitely stay here again!
My first stay at a capsule hotel and it was great. Love that it is tattoo-friendly so I liked the sauna.
Very closed to the metro station and close to shibuya
Had a late night out after trains had stop. Was a quick and convenient place to sleep a few hours before morning trains started up in the morning. Pod was spacious for what it was and staff was very friendly.
Facility was clean, staff were nice, it was a little hot and the fan in my capsule made a ton of noise, along with other people on the floor making a ton of noise throughout the night. Overall its a decent stay but I would not pay as much as I did to go back.
They show you a shower in the pictures but you can’t use it if your not on the right floor, and if you have tats you can’t use the bath
-
In general very good well organized and located, just was a little inconvenient having to check-out every day
Very poor AC, and the fan built into the bunk did not help cool you down (not blowing air at you??) I see the design they were going for but it exposed a lot of dirt and grime that was hidden between the walls. I’ve stayed in around 8 hostels during my stay and I would rate this one 2nd to worse, probably able to find something nicer for the same price as long as you book a day or more in advance. This was a last minute booking so we got what was available
Good experience, but a little warm
The desk spoke good english and explained the hotel well. Sauna and showers were nice. There was no place to put slippers, so mine were taken by someone else the next morning. I stayed in July, and it was on the warm side in the hotel, and the fan inside the capsule did not help much.
Good hotel, mediocre pod
The hotel was nice and provided all the amenities one could need, but the big problem was the pod itself. It was pretty hot inside, and the pulldown shade was not thick enough to fully block out the light from the outside room so the pod was lit up the whole night, making it really difficult to sleep. The rest of the hotel really was nice, but the most important part - the sleep comfort, was lacking.
Great choice for budget travelers. Clean and convenient
Friendly staff, and a nice atmosphere. Very organised and very conscious of tenants
Thank you for your help
This is about as bare bones as you can get for capsule hotels. The floors are concrete, the walls are bare plywood. The dorm room/capsules were also pretty hot even though the weather wasn't and the tiny fan in the capsule didn't help much.
The staff were helpful and friendly. Apologies for my sudden checkout, I made it to my flight home!
Awesome even for high end BIZ travelers
Sauna
Cheap price and clean bathroom but it is hard to climb to the upper deck. Also annoying to have to check in and check out every day.
Unexpected
There too little space for locker room to pack stuff . Sleeping port doesn't have air-conditioned. Stayed for 2 nights not recommend for longer stays period. Didn't manage to get enough good sleep always woke up by noise around.
Nice and clean, friendly staff. Good amenities and price. I often stay here when visiting Tokyo.
All amenities is prepared well. Unfortunately, Some user might not keep the cleanliness..
good for sleep annoying with packing noises in early morning
Affordable and the staff are very hospitable. I love the sauna it makes you relax after a tiring day
Great Halloween night stay
Great stay in a clean and comfortable hostel but there is no fridge or kitchen
No hot water couldn't shower or use the sauna. This is a bad look for them especially since the Sauna is the selling point.
Very nice place and good Japanese capsule experience
Great stay. Clean, helpfull and great location. Bargain value. All aroung great facilities.
Price was reasonable and location exceptional. Adjoining guests (foreigners) talking to each other, making unneccessary noise, and playing videos on their phones without earphones. No enforcement of quiet room.
Very friendly staff and comfortable sleeping arrangements.
Not great
Not great on many points of view - notably, it's a non-smoking hotel but the room has a strong stale tobacco smell.
very nice sauna ! Good location, Close to a JR station
The sauna and convenience are great! The building looks a little unfinished, but it's very comfortable and provides some nice bonuses
OK for short stay
Good enough for a low cost short stay - first 3 nights were at a rate of ~$20/nt, which was definitely worth it. Only 2 of the four private showers actually have a changing curtain, but there are plenty of public showers as well. Bathrooms were clean, locker rooms had enough storage space. The pillows they use are the heavy buckwheat pillows, which I thought I would hate but found surprisingly comfortable. The mattress was fine, but the TV insert in the capsules was annoying - kept hitting my head on it and it didn't even have a TV, was just a shell. Wood was unfinished in the capsule room, leaving concerns about splinters. No eating and drinking outside of the lobby and required to check out daily at 10AM. When my last day was on a separate reservation from my first days I was required to bring all of my luggage down to the lobby even though there was no gap between days. Wifi worked fine and sauna was nice, but would probably pay a little more for increased comfort next time.
Great
Clean and good location, near metro and JR station. If you have big luggage you need to concern about to bring it up one level of staircases to reach reception.
Stay at do c ebisu capsule
I had diffuculty looking for the place and had to walk a lot of blocks just to locate it. The sauna was good and clean. I like the whole arwanof thebsauna including the showers sinks and even have blow dryers near the sinks. The capsules were clean but looks old. I like the complimentary slippers, towels, and sleepwear. It was fun staying in a capsule. staff were friendly. Luggage and locker area was so small that i had difficulty organizing my luggage contents when there are other people also fixing their stuff..if someone fixes their stuff it is hard to walk since that area is small.
good everything
The toilets were very clean. The capsule was not as claustrophobic as I imagined. There was space to move around in the capsule itself. The staff were very helpful too! Good experience!!
The concept looks cool, but the cement flooring and basic walls just make it extremely loud. More than half the people in my room had trouble with the lock, so all through the morning and night you hear people banging around and the movements of the lock. They have strict of rules (no eating or drinking in the room and you must be out during 10-13). While there are water dispensers in the sauna/shower rooms, they were inexplicably "out of service" during 4 or so of the 7 days that I stayed here. There is no hot water kettle, microwave, or anything that would allow people to make tea/coffee or heat up a meal.
Okay
The clothing is too small for a big man like me. People come and go during the night and make noise, but I suppose that is what you get when you choose a capsule hotel. Otherwise the hotel was clean and pleasant.
I only stayed for one night. Nice location, very close to ebisu station. The clothes they provided were nice and the sauna was cool. Staff were very friendly. Restrooms, shower area, and bed were very clean. For some reason the restrooms in the sleeping area don't have hand soap?? But the shower area in the other floor do have hand soap. The actual sleeping area wasn't very comfy. The pillow was just a bunch of beads in a bag, it got a bit warm in the capsule and the fan was useless. There is only one elevator so you end up waiting a while sometimes. I once tried using the stairs but most of the doors are locked when entering a floor from the outside. However, I got a good deal so I think I got what I paid for. I think I would only recommend staying for one night. Apparently you have to check-out every day which sounds annoying to deal with if staying for more than one night.
As far as capsule hotels go, do-c Ebisu pretty much hits the mark. I wanted to try the experience at least once during my trip to Japan. Very convenient for late nights out although you do have to leave between 10AM-1PM as they are cleaning the premises during that period. Also, the location couldn't be more convenient. I do think that the common area could use some work but can't ask much seeing how inexpensive my stay was.
Very good place to stay I wish the pillows were softer so I can sleep properly.
Nice to have sauna in caples hotel like this. But checkin is in the first floor and no lift so if have heavy luggage then have to carry it up.
average stay
good location. capsule room was very small. most inconvenient part was having to check out the facilities by 10am for cleaning
Overall satisfied
Everything was pretty good, except that the lobby should be cleaned more often, and that it would be better if the check-out time could be 30mins to 1 hour later, or let those who booked for several days to sleep in. Loved that it had sauna, hair dryer, shampoo, etc. The bed was comfortable and space was enough. Price was reasonable. Very close to the JR Ebisu Station. However, you have to climb the stairs to the second floor to enter the hotel.
I stayed for a single night. Amenities were clean, and people friendly in the lobby. The pods were comfortable, but some people were arriving and being loud late at night.
Whole experience was great. Note that there is a tv unit with no tv inside, where you can hit your head when inside the capsule. Toiletries and pajamas provided. Very clean facility. Can be noisy at times with people coming in and out. Location is great, 1 block away from the JR station.
Location was very convenient, if you're just looking for a bed to sleep at night this would be your choice. The capsule seemed a bit old and plastic-materials, not much space in the capsule even for a 5 feet girl so if you're taller than 5'7 it could be uncomfortable to you.
We checked in pretty late in the night. The staff were really helpful. The premises are maintained well. Great capsule hotel experience. I'll definitely recommend this place to everyone. I really don't have anything bad to say about this place.
The hotel is well located but the standard of installations is not so good. My capsule was with bad smell and really noisy.
The beds itself were highly uncomfortable, with tiny mattrasses and rock hard pillows. Then the whole principle of having to check out at 10 each day and having no access to your locker from 10 till 13 each day, while the crew of the hotel does, makes no sense to me.
Good location and good value
I stayed on the 7th floor for women. Everyone kept quite at night and kept everything tidy in the common area. However, the curtains of the private showers on the 9th floor need replacement. Two of the four private showers are without curtains. Therefore, they are not private showers anymore. do-c Ebisu should fix it as soon as possible. The location is excellent. You can get to Ebisu Station of Yamanote line in 2 minutes as described.
a nice capsule hotel, excellent location
it was a great experience, the only downside is that there was only 1 lift to use and we had to use the lift to go to a different floor to have showers and e.g. brush our teeth
Awesome Stay
Great accommodations. Comfortable bedding and great facilities. The complaint is fans in the capsules. Little to no air flow provided. Capsules became very hot throughout the night.
Right next to ebisu station so very convenient. Nice staff and right across from a conbini.
Capsule Experience!
Wow 3 minutes from Ebisu station, great restaurants across the street. Fantastic showers and sauna and you get the experience of capsule living ( which was cool!).
Good and Efficient Hotel
This is a nice hostel to stay at and is kept relatively clean. It is not located in the best area for sights, but it is located next to the train station so it is still easy to reach other places. Overall, a decent place to stay at especially if you are tight on money.
Capping the night
Solo stay with focus on sleep and sauna. Tad noisy depending on where is your capsule but new facility.
Value worth for budget travellers!
Overall, you can't complain based on what you're paying for. Good experience for people trying out capsule hotel for the first time. Would come back for the sauna again. People are generally respectful and considerate unless you get a drunk foreigner. Good: Sauna to sweat it out, feeling healthier at the end of the day. Towel, slippers, "Pyjamas" and toiletries are provided. Kind and respectful staff. Free Locker service after checkout. What can be better: a more comfortable mattress and pillow. More efficient lift? (this is hard but waiting for the lift can be a chore sometimes that I just give up and take the stairs)
Great Capsule!
What a fantastic experience. The staff were great, the capsule was great (air conditioning made it very comfy!) and the amenities were great! This capsule hotel was in an awesome area. And it’s right near the Ebisu station. Definitely would go back!
Location and wifi
Love the spa sauna and how close it its to Station. Over all its perfeft! I just wish you can have one whole body mirror at every room area. So we can at least take a look before we leave and go somewhere.
Does its job
I needed place to sleep in Japan, and this was the place. Room felt a little small(5'9), and it was hot due to bad ventilation, but it was fine overall.
This was my first time staying at a capsule hotel and it was a great experience. The hotel is very close to Ebisu station and is extremely easy to find. I had no problem checking in, finding my locker and my capsule. While the desk staff have limited English they do provide an English guide that explained the system to me. In your locker you are provided with pyjamas, two towels (one bath towel and one smaller towel), slippers and a toothbrush and toothpaste set. The locker was also a lot larger than I expected so I was easily able to store my boots and my two bags. Additional space is also provided for suitcases (although unlike the locker, this is not secure). Men and Women's showers are on their own separate floors and have a pull-down screen for privacy. Unfortunately I did not use the Sauna facility so I cannot comment on that. The capsules are a lot larger than I expected and I was able to sit up comfortably inside. The blanket, mattress and pillow were also comfortable and I was able to have a restful sleep. The capsule is also equipped with a dimmer light, USB and AC charging ports and a small fan (which had little effect and was rather noisy). Overall my stay was a great experience and I would definitely consider staying again in the future!
Attractive Izakaya place
This hotel is close to the ebisu station and there are shack shack buger Also there is some attractive place it seem night market in Japan

Reviews for hostels can only be taken seriously to a certain point because much of the experience is dependent on the people staying at the same time as you. This is especially true when considering cleanliness, safety, noise, etc.. our stay was great, good people, well kept, safe, quiet when it was time to be. Only thing is we had a crazy snorer in our area but what can you do, he needs sleep just like us right ;)
