The sign upfront reads 'under new management' but it was more like under NO MANAGEMENT. The gentleman at the front desk, despite being being very friendly did not speak English. The only word I could understand was 'money'. The room was disgusting and had not been cleaned at all. There were cigarette buds in the bathroom and the toilet was dirty. I did not dare to step into that shower. Fridge and microwave were equally dirty with stains from god knows how long ago. Places like this should be illegal.
Booked after 7pm only to find out that check in closed at 7, why was it even available
Flea bag hotel. Cockroaches. Old motel that needs a complete do-over. Noisy ac unit. Don't go there. It's crap
FILTHY
D0 NOT EVEN CONSIDER STAYING AT THIS DIXIE MOTEL.
I will never stay at the hotel again beds and pillows had blood stains on them no towels shower heads was taped on with duck tape couldn't use it the sink had was nasty and not draining had a can of bug stay for fleas, and other insects in the room had to ask for sheets and pillow cases (thank the Lord I remember to take my own) I just wish I could get my money back
Disgusting drive up to property dirty unkept property people hanging around drinking looked like a bunch of homeless is this a place where people actually live???? Not at all the country charm presented to us as it would be!!! We left dirtiness and all we could think about is if we sleep here we will get eaten alive by bed bugs!! Gross unclean!!
Bad
The hotel was run down. Had an electric heater. Homeless people sleeping in parking lot next to my vehicle. Very dirty. No upkeep. And bugs in the room
Only accepting cash, so you'll need that at hand. Not bad for a comfortable nights stay. Few eating options close by. $175 a week if you need a cheap place to hang low.
A no-frill little thumbnail sized joint
This place was crazy far off the highway. Like 40 miles one way off in nowhere. An old old old ancient relic. Yes.... no joke! First thing I saw was a roach upon entering my typewriter case size room. For a very small typewrite! Its a place only good for an emergency stop. Way overpriced. Would never stay there again.
This is a no frills motel. Its quite old and outdated. You can get a little cleaning service as long as you request it the day prior. In the room I stayed the AC unit worked quiet well which was great in Florida. The bathroom needs upgrading badly. The sink is one of those old fashion ones where there is a spout for cold water and another for hot. The toilet is the biggest problem. An adult male can has to turn slightly to sit. Probablybbe the same case for a female. I also had to flush 5 to 6 times to clear the toilet
Just sleep In your car
When I first arrived I was rudely greeted by the service desk manager (Samantha). She told me to park in the guest check in parking spot or to move my car and leave. I sat in my car for approximately 10 minutes to finish my food as I had just got off of work before I checked in and I was stared at through the office window until I finally came inside. I guess they thought I didn’t really have a reservation. When I got inside Samantha was very nice nasty while booking me for my room. I still shrugged it off. The rules clearly says no smoking but people are smoking on the outside directly in front of your room. I had room number #17 and the air conditioner was very loud, the comforter had burn marks on them from people previously smoking in the room. The bathroom had roaches crawling everywhere and I’m allergic to them. I literally stayed for less than 4 hours before I asked for a refund for the remainder of my stay which was two days. The bed also had bed bugs. I would recommend anyone to just find another motel or to simply sleep in their car. The price isn’t worth the hassle you’ll be put through.
Better to sleep in your car.
Just a horrible place. The locals all told me the place was a hole, after I'd booked thru hotels.com. I must have killed a dozen roaches. I kept banging my shins on the homemade bed frame, to the point I was bleeding. I made a video of it. It WILL be on YouTube. Don't stay here. Better to sleep in your car.
This place is a dump. Should not be listed as a place to stay. Sure the sheets and towels were clean, but that's it! It has not seen any improvement since it was built in the 1950s! And make sure you park in the correct spot or a seedy character will come up and let you know. Stinky coffee can ash trays are on the windowsill of every room.
The front desk staff is arrogant and rude. I would never park my car here.
I was on business. Just needed a place to lay my head. This is a no frills hotel. Folks are nice. YOU'D better park in your assigned parking space though....if not, you will have a knock on your door. The room was clean. The smell was old. There is a small frig., microwave and TV in the room. You will only have 2 towels and a small bar of soap. Bring anything/everything else. The heater is a small plug in on. Suffice. It's like camping in an RV. I would stay there again. Can't beat that nightly price for one person.
It is an old motel but was clean, spartan furnishings but adequate for an overnight stay.
The curtains were terrible- people could see right into our room, and it was very light in the morning. A shame, as otherwise it's a very reasonable cheap motel.
Very clean.. great price. Just was passing through so needed somewhere to sleep. Only thing i didnt like was couldnt park my car in front of room. They have numbers where u park the number was assigned far from door where i was staying.. i feel they shouldnt number it let the customer park in front of door which i did an they actually knocked on door an ask me to move to my number... it wasnt that serious...
Continue on down the road!
Bed was broke down and complete with bedbugs. AC didn’t work well after asking the front desk if it was cold and they said yes. Mold on bathroom ceiling. People constanting sitting in front of my window smoking. Spend a few dollars more and if you do stay pass on room 17!
Nice for the price
Cheap and decent. I have no complaints. I would stay there again.

Perfect for Rockville.
We booked for 3 nights for Rockville Fest in Jacksonville. Perfect for us and location to and from Jacksonville was worth the 40 min drive. Old Motel, clean all basics. Friendly staff. Felt safe. Bed comfy. Will definitely stay again next year.
Good stay
Was ok no complaints
It's a dump and it's very noisy due to the proximity to the highway.
The lady who runs the place was so RUDE from the moment we got there. I would never stay again and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone either. You get two flat pillows, we asked if we could get another pillow and she told us if we wanted another pillow to go buy one from the store down the road.
Much, much better this time!! :)
When I opened the door, it smelled clean & was at the right temperature. If you appreciate older architecture, you'll find this charming. Had all the basics & value couldn't be beat!!
Too far from jacksonville Nhgdghhbvchjnvfb nvfjknc. Nvm vfjm bhdg kg
It is a small family owned motel. Not very big but quiet. The only things missing was a coffee pot and ice machine. We will go back there again.
It smelled bad and we found in the toilet an insect
This is an old property. Everything worked, but bathroom door would not close, door security was suspect. Clean, obviously though from a different era. Not sure if we would consider staying there again or not. Perhaps.
Very dirty. Cockroches everywhere in the room. Train passes just next and makes too much noise.
Buena calidad limpia a mehorido mucho vengo una ves al mes
I didn't like it but it works if it's a quick trip
Check in and check out was easy. The staff was nice. The building looked like it might fall down at some point. It looks like it hasn't been updated since it was built. It was difficult to pull into the hotel as you have to drive to the end of the hotel and then drive past a building and squeeze past a sign to get to the parking lot. There were shady people everywhere, a lot of liqueur stores, and weird street designs. A lot of the traffic lights were around curves so it was surprising to find a red light after a curve. Not much in the area. It was not within walking distance of anything. I'm glad I was there only one night for an event. The bed was terrible. It felt like there were lumps so it hurt my back and neck. The WIFI was spotty to none existent. The walls had small holes everywhere. The curtains didn't really cover the windows too well. Large room.
WasA OK!!!!! I would stay there again. Was quiet and was an easy in and out to go to our destation. I will tell my friends about my trip.
nice and quiet. The price was right. was very clean. Tank you for everything Thank you very much....
Fue muy buena la estancia lo recomiendo lo han pintado
Would not stay again
It was by far the worst motel I've ever stayed in.
Didn’t like the fact there was cockroaches in bedroom, filthy and holes in bedsheets.
Clean, Quiet, and Safe
The motel is as old-fashioned as you can get, but the floors were newly laminated, the room was perfectly clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet all night. I had everything I needed and would stay there again without hesitation.
I had a very satisfying night.
Charming but not swept with dirty toilet & shower. Loud road noise. No follow up on housekeeper request. No shower taken. :(
I recommend
It was a good stay. Didn't take a long time to process everything. Very quiet place.
Floor was dirty, was not clean under the bed, found a lighter and flower pedals under bed. Toilet did not flush very well and sink was hard to turn off a bit
Old motel
It could definitely use an update. It was a tight fit to park. They put us at the end up against the building with a larger truck. Luckily, it wasn't packed and hubby was able to back in. Bathroom was really small. Definitely not big people friendly. The bed was comfy except for the pillows. There was only 2 and they were both flat. They say pets aren't allowed but our room smelled like dog bad. It's a small town so limited choices of where to eat. We wanted to check out early but no one is in the office until 9am. So we had to call and wake someone up to check out. The driveway is real small. The GPS took us to a driveway that was blocked by a car that belonged to the office worker. Overall, it served it's purpose.
OK for stop and sleep
pretty far from the freeway. Old but no repair issues,.driveway hard to see at night, because the one at the big neon sign was blocked. Price was more than the sign outside - $35
Dirty and not as advertised room. Floor and walls in terrible shape.
Dixie Motel
The place is old, but clean and adequate. Some highway noise.
Much more than I expected. Very homey, clean. Someone available for really late check in.
Stay somewhere else!
Worst hotel that I've ever stayed at in The United States. I travel often & stay at a lot of budget, super budget, & little family run hotels, so I'm quite accustomed to basic, no frills accommodations. This one is a real dump!! The hotel is a little roadside motel which has been neglected for many decades. Any maintenance or repairs that have happened, have been done without thought, pride or attention to any detail. The bed frame, room furniture & counter was made from old lumber, plywood, & screws. I definitely suggest that you spend the extra $12 a night, to stay at any one of the dozen or so other hotels in the nearby area!!
