Lots of character. Large suite. Great view of valley below. Near Delphi archealogical site.
Very much needs renovation. Views are fabulous. Breakfast, not so great..
Unfortunately, our visit to the Delphi Palace was disappointing. It may once have been a 4* hotel, but today is is at best a hotel of faded grandeur, and at worst dilapidated and unsafe. On the positive side, the staff could not have been more friendly, or more helpful. However, a number of areas around the hotel seemed in bad repair to the extent that I believe they posed a health and safety risk to our young children (8 & 6). Examples include the wooden railings directly in front of the swimming pool which were rotten and insecure, and if leant against, even by accident, could well have broken, and an individual would have dropped 10-15ft to hard ground below. Plus, the swimming pool itself was in quite bad repair and the 'lining' of the pool had broken away from the foundations in a number of places; plus, there were no steps on the ladder to climb out of the pool - another safety issue. In my opinion, the hotel needs to realise that it is not today what it once was, and invest in repairing the areas that are most unsafe. This is not a reflection on anyone who worked there, but we would not return to this hotel.
We had a wonderful stay and the staff was very welcoming.
It's in a great location - very close to the town with lots of local tavernas to eat in, and in walking distance of the ancient sites of delphi and the museum. the team are very friendly and helpful, the rooms and amenities are quite basic though similar to other accommodation in the local area.
The views are great! The location is wonderful. The interior is excellent.
Classic hotel at historic site
Delphi is perhaps the most beautifully situated archaeological site in Greece, and this hotel, which offers spectacular views down the valley to the Gulf of Corinth and Itea, is an ideal complement for your visit. The hotel is on the far side of Delphi town from the archaeological site, but it is still fully walkable. Great service from the staff and a surprisingly fine restaurant, as well. We were delighted with our stay.
Great old hotel
Older place but they took care of us really well. Great view and nice pool. And it's close to Delphi.
Hardly a Palace.
Friendly staff and a beautiful view to the sea was about all there was to recommend. Hotel is badly in need of an upgrade-- air conditioning did not work and WIFI was intermittent and slow. Breakfast was satisfactory at best.
Good value hotel a touch out of the town
The hotel itself is still pretty nice - many other reviews talk about faded grandeur and it is mostly true: the hotel would have been quite the spot in its heyday. Nowadays it still has gorgeous views and there is a large terraced patio with a pool as well as a restaurant and bar. We were there in the shoulder season and saw almost no other guests but during the peak season with people around it likely is quite nice.
Amazing hotel!!
My stay was perfect. i diffidently will back to this hotel and this town. the view is amazing, i really recommend this place and hotel!!!
Nice Hotel in Delphi
Nice Hotel in Delphi, with a great view and helpful staff.
A 4-star? Maybe 30 Years Ago.
Expedia said we could check in at 1100. We arrived at 1400 and our room wasn't ready. The furniture throughout the hotel was worn-out/beaten, like it was 20+ years old (not like the pictures). In short, the hotel looks like it was closed for years and just recently reopened. Many things need to be refreshed and updated. The air conditioners in both of our bedrooms (family of 5) did not work. It was 100+ F outside making it unbearable. As such, we elected not to stay the night and instead drove back home to Athens.
Delphi
Very peaceful stay in extremely charming hotel, amazing views over Ithea. Very helpful and friendly staff with special mention to Maya and Alexandria who went out of their way providing tips and local flavour.
Going back in time.
Friendly staff on arrival (although the card machine was unavailable for use for payment when we left which was annoying), space to park car, easy to walk into the village for food and shops. The room had a balcony with a beautiful view out to the Gulf of Corinth and they had accommodated our need for extra beds. There was lots of communal space to sit indoors and out but everything felt "tired" and in need of making over. This is the feature which lets down the hotel: its lack of modernisation - some attempts have been made (particularly in the bathrooms) but they are badly finished with odd bits of plywood and filler. An air-conditioning unit pumped out hot air for most of the night and there was no-one available at reception to sort it out. It must have ben a stunning place 50 years ago but it really needs a bit of TLC now. There is no obvious reason not to recommend this hotel but be aware of going back in time!
Very good
Amazing views and helpful staff. Very friendly and a wonderful place to visit
A great hotel and wonderful staff!
We adored our experience at Delphi Palace. The hotel has as incredible view and is exquisitely decorated. It is in walking distance of the Oracle of Delphi. We had a wonderful dinner there. Mr. Panos is a fascinating host who has pioneered tourism in the city of Delphi. Upon entering the hotel you will see pictures of him together with Aristo Onassis, Ted Kennedy, and Hillary Clinton during their past visits to Delphi. Mr. Panos gave us a lot of attention and was very kind to leave gifts to our children prior to our departure. We hope to come back soon to see him and spend time in beautiful Delphi.
the hotel with a good location and great view, but
But be careful double-checking if you get the room acc. to the reservation made; as we arrived after the New Year celebration late, in the evening on Jan.1 and were told that because the previous guest couldn't check-out being sick we will be accommodated in the hotel of the same chain - Iniohos Hotel. We agreed, but after observing the room there agreed to saty only for 1 night as it was AWFUL. We stayed there at the discounted rate that we had to bargain and then moved to Delphi Palace which was much better in comparison to Iniohos. Be sure you have cash as their card terminal did not work. And be prepared that as a non-smoker you'll feel uncomfortable in the chilling area by the fireplace - it is allowed to smoke inside, as actually everywhere in that part of the Greece: the same situation in Arachova's bars and restaurants.
Awesome views in dated hotel
Only stay here for the view. Otherwise rooms are dated, no elevator for luggage, rooms more shabby than chic or antique. Staff is extremely friendly!
Awesome when compared to neighboring hotels.
The place needs to be remodeled but the price was great and it was clean. I checked out a few other hotels in the area because we want to go back again and all the hotels looked like they needed some work and this place was pretty great in comparison.
Great views and spacious rooms, suite for family.
Great hotel, badly kept. Sink took 30 minutes to drain each time used. No wi fi in rooms. Great view spoiled by spotlight in pool shining straight into room. Owner said he'd turn it off when we asked, but never did. Bed hard. Pool nice but full of bugs and inexplicably doesn't take advantage of the awesome views. Strange staffing. Always people standing around, but the one person you need has a line of people. Breakfast was very basic.
Disappointed of Delphi
After a warm welcome on check-in, things went rapidly downhill at the Delphi Palace. The room was basic but clean; the taps on the narrow bath would let out only a trickle of water; the swimming pool was freezing and awash with dead insects. Dinner was inedible and breakfast decidedly underwhelming. The large coach party who tried to complain about the lack of choice at dinner received scowls and shrugs from a waitress who gave a new meaning to the word surly. Given that the hotel is at the far end of the village, ie at the opposite end to the site, I can see no reason why anyone should choose to stay there.
A great hotel with the best view
A gorgeous view. At first looks old but service is great. Only one supply plug but we lived with it.
Amazing view of valley from hotel
Quiet end of town. Spectacular view from bar area and breakfast area.
Rooms with spectacular views
Delightful hotel in charming Delphi.
Perfect place to stay in Delphi
Great historic property. Wonderful staff.
Was a grand hotel, still has the makings of greatness. Needs lots of upkeep. No hot water at night, no heat when we stayed in January. Sparse but large rooms. 2 star, with 4 star capabities.
Best hotel if you need parking
Great location! While it's about 15-minutes from the ruins of Delphi, it was one of the few hotels to offer parking. All the other hotels in town had limited street parking only. Sadly, the indoor pool was closed during the winter, but they offered us a room with a fireplace, which more than made up for it. Free wifi in room, but reception in the room was sketchy. Customer service was outstanding.
Highly recommend this hotel
i have stay 2 days with my husbant and was very nice,i had a good quality of WI-FI,food was fresh and tastefull, the room is nice, with a fabulous view.Highly recommend this hotel! The personal was friendly and helpfull!all was very good!
Beautiful views
Room was large, beautiful view with porch. 1/2 mile walk from bus stand up a hill, tho they drove me back at end of stay. Swimming pool not heated, but that seems to be the way all thru greece. Breakfast very good
A tired hotel in need of a complete overhaul. Poorly maintained with a number of health and safety issues including poor wiring around plugs controls missing on air con and pipes just cut off. The swimming pool need a good clean. In its heyday it was probably a wonderful place to stay but now has the feeling of faded grandeur. To make up for it the staff were very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Also, the breakfast was one of the best I had during my stay in Greece.
Great stay!! Cozy room with lovely view!!
I stayed with my friend for one night at Delphi Palace! The room was very clean with amazing view. Delphi is a nice place very close to two seaside cities Itea and Galaxidi, where we went for a swim. The hotel has its own charachter with unique architecture. Overall, a great stay!!
Run down "Palace"
Don't be fooled by the pictures on the internet. This place is run down and hasn't seen a renovation in years. Floors and furniture are all old and worn. We checked in, visited Delphi (very impressive!) and checked out straight away after. Spend the night in a Hotel further down on our route.
Hotel viejo, mal ubicado y sucio.
A éviter
A very very old hotel-not maintained or redecorated in any way since the '80s -with an awful pool and dangerous (rotten)wooden railings. Breakfast below average. I wouldn't recommend it to our beloved visitors from abroad.
Etablissement bien situé pour visiter Delphes. Calme. Accueil parfait. Relativement proche de Galaxidi.
Etablissement vétuste Personnel tres gentil Belle vue
buona posizione, stile retro, piscina con bella veduta, colazione scarsa
Grequissimo
A conseiller
Hotel stijl jaren 50
Leuk hotel stijl jaren 50.

The owner of the hotel was the finest of persons. The female assistant was kind and helpful. The view from the hotel is the best ever of the Corinthian Gulf and the beginning of the plain leading up to the Sanctuary of Delphi. Classic Old Hotel with a lot of history. And gain, my sincere thanks for the graciousness shown to me by the owner and the assistant.
