Good price and staff helpful. Uncomfortable bed/pillows, noisy bathroom fan and basic room. Breakfast awful - food had obviously been cooked a while ago. Mostly lukewarm overcooked sausages.

Another stay at this first choice hotel in the area. Friendly professional staff and clean comfortable rooms.

The hotel is in good repair, the room was clean and comfortable.

Wouldn’t stay again

The reception staff are really friendly, which is one of the only redeeming features. This is a budget hotel and I only paid around £50 to stay, I wouldn’t pay more. The swimming pool was closed for maintenance and the restaurant was closed for a private group. It’s in the middle of a uni campus, the only thing nearby is a co-op. The bed sheets had hair on them and I assume hadn’t been changed since the previous guest. After letting reception know they moved me to another room immediately which I appreciated. In the second room the towel rail in the bathroom didn’t work. Budget hotel which I understand but I do expect cleanliness, wouldn’t stay again

Great for business trips

In my opinion the best venue for business trips in the area. Friendly and professional staff, good facilities and housekeeping do a great job keeping the rooms impeccable. Perfect for work trips.

Hotel Is usually very good however this time room was freezing - with only a portable tiny oil fired heater which was inadequate

The staff were great. The person using the disabled bedroom was frozen as their heating didn't work and neither did the radiators in their corridor.

Room was smallish but ok. My main gripe was that I had a sign on my door saying do not disturb but had housekeeping chatting away outside my door at 9am when I was hoping for a lie in. I also heard them banging on other doors and calling out “housekeeping.” Plus I could hear people shouting outside and it turned out there was a building site outside my window. Not relaxing at all.

Great setting in the University a little out of town but quiet and safe with good room specifications. Shower was a little underpowered but overall very satisfied.

Use for business trip, very competitive prices, has an on site restaurant but wasn’t open when stayed so ate next door in Mitchell Hall, both are on the uni campus so a lot of students about.

My only gripe was that the Building itself is not that well sign posted. I kind of knew where it was, but that was intuitive rather than directed. BUT good facilities, friendly staff, good parking-again signs could be better.

University campus, superbly helpful staff, small but comfortable and very clean rooms and no views! However a cheap alternative to your normal standard square box premier/travel/inn/lodge. Didn't try food as seemed expensive. Stayed an extra night it was that good!

Just a 1 night business trip, used the other hotel next to it on the uni campus so would try this as a change. Only negative was the restaurant was shut so had to go next door to the other hotel for a meal.

We had a very pleasant stay here, very clean. Nice breakfast and good value for money. We used this hotel to visit a concert at the National bowl, it was a great location for the venue.

Good hotel, breakfast was good too. Location is a tad out of the way from central MK but easily accessible and hotel provided a list of good taxi companies. Was £20 to MK Bowl. Staff all friendly. Would stay again.

I’ve stayed here lots of times and never had a bad stay. Reliably clean comfortable rooms and great staff.

Overall the room was good. The only criticism were the lack of bedside lights. The main light was on the wall opposite the bed was too bright. Only dimmable light was on the desk out of reach from the bed. No USB sockets but so many useful sockets in the room, 11 including 7 along the desk. My room had an ironing board and iron. Useful to know there is a room available to guests during and after checkout with complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. There are free water refill stations throughout the property. There are also slow EV charging points directly outside front reception. (£16 per session, speed not declared)

I cancelled and was meant to get my money back, l booked and cancelled minutes after l realised l had made location area, l talked to someone at your end and said you would refund me and get back to me when you do, love heard nothing

It was a very stressful experience. Having checked in late in the day to find multiple insects in our room. When we asked the staff about it, they cleaned up the insects they could find and told us that there are no dangerous insects in the UK, so we should be fine to staying in the same room. The staff was reluctant to understand that two huge insects in a room is a display of negligence and a lack of proper cleaning within a room, whether the insects will harm us is besides the point. If the cleaning crew missed two massive insects, it begs the question as to what else was missed. It shouldn't come down to the customer to point out the issues in the first place. And to not even receive an apology for this was very shocking and disorienting. We understood that it was a busy night and took a smaller room, the receptionist seemed to challenge our request with statements like "it was our good will that we gave the bigger room to you...", when it the hotel seems to clearly misunderstand what a standard double room for 2 adults entails. Overall a stressful and disorienting experience.

Hot room, not allowed to use the air con

Air conditioning had a note saying not to use and so was an incredibly hot evening whilst trying to sleep. The morning after I tried the air conditioning unit and it was in perfect working order blowing cool air. Cost saving initiative? If so it’s cost saving at the customers expense.

Very good value

Staff were friendly. Room was simple but comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Only slight shame was that the pool had quite a few bugs in the water, more like an outdoor pool that an indoor pool which made swimming somewhat less pleasant. But generally i thought very good value.

I stayed at this hotel for a few days for work and mainly booked for the price. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms and although nothing super fancy it was comfortable, clean and the staff were very friendly and attentive, particularly at breakfast. Would definitely stay again if in the area on business.

CMDC is consistantly good , the food , the staff and the facilities- as someone who does 40+ hotel stays a year this is definately in my top three hotels for business use.

Stayed in one of the front smakl rooms it was lovely. And could eben chech out late

Great hotel with very friendly staff. Very clean comfortable rooms. Amazing dinner and breakfast.

I stay here most weeks irs always great - this week I was put in a room over the far side of property its ansaur walk from reception - the room was extremely cold and the bed was 2 singles pushed together they were so uncomfortable I had about 3 hours sleep it would have been equivalent to.sleeping on a wooden bench. I wont stay in these rooms again if I do book again. If they dont have the rooms closer to reception I wont bother.

Good accommodation

It’s a great place to stay. Love the bar area. It’s spacious with comfy sofas to mingle with friends/colleagues. I found the shower control not very friendly. I could not find a good settings for the water pressure, which was too strong. I had to pay attention to shut the valve fully or it will drip and make noise. I heard the dripping noise coming from the next room and it prevented me going to sleep. Luckily, it did stop after half an hour. Will stay again if the above be sorted or replaced. Staff were very friendly! 9 out of 10.

Throughly enjoyed my stay here. Really polite staff from the reception to housekeeping. As a regular business traveler to Bedford, I regularly stay here based on the facilities and welcoming staff. I particularly liked they acknowledged my request of staying in my regular room type for my needs.
