It was good for a one night stay.
Very nice property and great staff.
Nice rooms
Quick trip but met our needs. Convenient part of town. The bed was a little hard but didnt sleep much anyway
Underwhelming
The check in was slow—the front desk attendant was in the bathroom for 15 minutes, and another employee had to call and text to get someone to come. The hotel itself smells like mold/mildew, and the a/c in my room didn’t work. The walls had lots of staining and water on the wallpaper. Also! No complimentary coffee in the lobby. At all. Gross.
Great check in early!
Great place
It was awesome
Great hotel
Was a last minute trip for a tournament and it was perfect. Great area
i was impressed by the accessible features of the room, by far the best that i’ve seen. our stay was in a quiet room and everything was nicely arranged. we had a pleasant stay. that’s why we keep coming back.
We were there for a one night stay for a women’s conference. The hotel is clean and convenient for where we were going. It was crowded that weekend, so gym & pool area were out of towels. No coffee for guests, except for purchase (or very small pot in room).
The hotel looked old like it needs a touch of care. The carpets were worn out and the bathroom door could not easily shut unless you bang it.
Prior to booking, I called to confirm the pool was open. However, when we got there it was closed. This was very disappointing because that was the reason that we stayed there. The best was very comfortable though. Breakfast was good. The overall hotel could use some extra maintenance and cleaning. It smelled like someone had cooked a cheesesteak in the room.
I highly recommend staying here.
A lot stores and restaurants nearyby.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Nice room. Plenty of space for 3 of us. Easy check in and check out.
Its nice stay
Bath tub water spigot very loose.
Felt the springs on the bed, did not feel clean and there are no USB chargers.
A great location definitely worth visiting
The lady who checked us in was very helpful and we had an issue with out room being too close to the elevator, she was able to get us in a room with less noise.
They didn’t even have a room for me. They said they overbooked. We had to find another hotel on our own. Need to be refunded
We enjoyed our one night stay the Courtyard Marriott. It was a busy weekend, but they handled the crowd well. Our check in was a little chaotic, but the team eventually got it all sorted out. My only negative was the complimentary coffee. The very small pot in the room wasn't enough for 4 people and there was nothing offered in the lobby. Coffee and water should always be available. I have never experienced that and it was a bit of a let down. We ended up purchasing from the lobby bistro, which was fine, but it did frustrate several in our group.
The hotel itself was fine. My room however had a defective door which didn’t close properly. Our air conditioner was very loud and didn’t work the best.
It was nice stay
Room air conditioner, humid.
Overall was good
Page amazing when I needed it most
Mold smell
Room had a mold smell . Fridge door broken. Broken base board tile. AC coils and fan making load noise. Smell very bad from no maintenance on coils. Pillows were not comfortable and bed not comfortable. Electrical plug at wall light loose and didn’t hold plug when plugged in.
This is a nice place to stay.
Nice room!
No problems during my stay.
Best place to stay in Tyler!
I arrived early at the hotel. I traveled with a friend for a business function. My room was available. Yay! I was going to spend the afternoon reading with a glass of wine. Paige, the agent at the desk, turned on the fire pit, found me a corkscrew and was so personable. We decided to have a drink at the bar and the bartender was so friendly. Room was clean and very comfortable. I will stay here any time I am in Tyler, TX.
Close to shopping and dining. The room was not what I expected. The door to the room looked like someone took a crowbar to it to beak in, the lamp shade was extremely discolored and broken, stained flooring, trouble flushing the toilet, light bulbs out and outlets not working. Very disappointed.
.
We had a hair in the bathtub from a previous guest. I cleaned the tub with my own supplies but definitely made me question how clean the room was in other areas.
Felt relaxed thoughtfully attended to
Enjoyed the lobby bistro, especially morning lattes, and the super relaxing hot tub spa.
Wonderful stay!
Good family hotel.
Great hotel. Friendly staff. Good location. Great town.
Lots of dust on the lamp shades, electrical outlet be he'd didn't work.
Hidden gem in Fredericksburg
They was rude came knocking on my door at 10:30 waking me up telling me check out time when checkout time is at 12 with the Marriott and I had asked him for late check out and they told me that I had to be a bunvoy member and when I told them that I was, she asked me for my number. I gave her my members number and still then tells me that if I am a member, I could check out late once I verify that I was a member. I still couldn't check out late they came knocking on the door at 12 then told me they will give me 30 minutes then when it became 1230 they came knocking on the door while I was trying to put my shoes on then they told me to be a member you have to be elite and they only do that for their elite customers so I said what do you have to do to become an elite custom you have to have this and then very did not like the people there is only one guy that I really really enjoyed that this is my third time meeting him and he was extremely helpful and people person is the night shift real down to earth is a black guy
Love the place also loved the lady at the front desk when we checked in she was really nice will definitely recommend
Check in was at 3pm room wasn't ready untill after 430 . Front desk was rude offered no explanation or apology. The elevator was very warm like the heater was on or something was burning so we got out took a different one and reported it the front desk . I pick this hotel for the hot tub . The pool and hot tub were down for maintenance. I ask to speak to the manger to see about a discount I was told no one was available and the guy was like i just work here. I feel i could have paid 100 for the night somewhere else close by with better service I paid 165 for late check in no pool or hot tub , something wrong with elevator and rude staff .
Nice clean hotel. The staff were great!
It’s a no for me—
Good things—comfortable bed, friendly and helpful staff. Bad things—huge flying roach on the ceiling, toilet flushed after 3 tries each time used, shower liner smelled of urine, weird musty smell in room, dirty carpet.
Load outside hotel at 11:30 PM. People with stereo and truck windows down. I had to go back to my car at 11:35 PM and did not feel safe. Breakfast was good.
Property was nice, but it can be improved.
Ok, one bed in room looked unmade, no complementary coffee in lobby. Other than that ok
Was ok
Good but hot tub was broken, coffee pot was broken and no diet cokes. :(
The room was very clean and comfortable. Check-in was easy. We would have liked to have had breakfast available. The coffee in the lobby was for sale and the available snacks were overpriced.
Very comfortable and clean
My reservation was canceled due to overbooking. They told me this on arrival. I was not notified of the cancellation until I arrived.
My daughter and I woke up with bites everywhere
A little noisy & there was a used rag in the bathroom on the shower. Other than that, no complaints.
Great staff
Staff was amazing
Dirty and stinky
The clerk was nice and very helpful. Unfortunately the room wasn’t so nice. Bathroom door wouldn’t close and there was actually a sock covering up the smoke detector.
Quick check in and friendly staff. Close to Food options and plenty of parking.
M
Room was stuffy and had a bad smell..called the ataff attention to this, was told the manager will call me back but that never happened. Very Sad indeed
Everything was perfect! Excellent checkin, nice, clean room. Wonderful breakfast! Thank you!
Jacuzzi was out of service. No safe in room. No USB ports on lights or anywhere in room
Had kids running in the hallway all night couldn't sleep
Ok
Great experience. Staff was wonderful.
Great stay
Room was comfortable and shower was amazing. Loved the hot tub. Unless you have children and want to be awake before 8 am from kids screaming in the pool and the ding of the elevator, ask for a room on a upper floor away from the pool and elevator.
The hotel customer service is good. The room were clean and spacious very nice. The coffee was good, but the menu at the Bistro was expensive I paid for 1 avocado toast $13.00; that was 1 toast cut in half and avocado in top Honesty wasn't good !!!! I will suggest eat breakfast at McDonald's or any other place better and cheaper.
Room was clean and we didn’t have any issues.
The building has multiple issues starting with the outside rooms shifting downward due to the foundation issues. Can see it in the hallway being higher than the rooms and the wallpaper pulling in corners showing significant drop in foundation. Could not turn on water in tub. Had to wait for maintenance to find the problem, go get part then fix it. This had to have been an ongoing issue and should have been fixed before the room was rented out. Could not reach the front desk from the room phone. The front desk phone seemed to be on "night mode" as it kept ringing and then going back to menu. Had to use cellphone and call main number to reach help for maintenance. Restaurant was out of bacon and other menu items but didn't notify anyone when ordering. Sausage substituted in burrito - but like two tiny pieces only. A couple of hashbrowns and eggs were all that were in the burrito. Side order of sausage was cold and asked to reheat. Came back and not reheated. Had to ask over and over for silverware and napkins. $33 for avocado toast (no egg) and a burrito with some potatoes in it and a cup of coffee - excessive, even for a hotel.
Place is nice, clean and staff are good. My sink in bathroom however leaks water all over the floor. I’m surprised the last person didn’t notify the staff. Outside the leak a very nice place.
My Husband and I stayed and enjoyed every minute of it. Great hotel, great staff and just a great choice if you need to be in the Tyler area.
The location was convenient, but the noise from the street was loud. Also, our room A/C sounded like an unlevel washing machine on spin cycle. Annoying until you could get to sleep.
Nice buffet breakfast clean beds friendly staff. The only downside was we were next to a large family and they constantly kept going through the door of their rooms. Which is actually not the hotel’s fault
Staff is untrained. 2nd time I stayed here same problem. Staff not trained
Great service
No clean sheets or towels after we asked at the front desk before leaving in the morning.
Not a good stay
Had to change room 3 times. The hotel stunk. The rooms stunk bad and the toilet overflowed. Then the next room the AC was so loud. The 3rd room was stinky AGAIN. Won’t be going back.
I absolutely loved everything! We chose a great day to stay as well. I enjoyed having the pool and hot tub to myself. I would definitely come back!
Had the worst stay. Card keys are not working and let me go up and down the stairs for 3 times with no assistance on my luggage. Clogged Bathroom. they let me transfer to another room. again Card not working and when I got in the new room it was VERY Dirty. Will never stay here again. and Highly DO NOT recommend.
Great stay!
Staff was very professional and helpful. Very clean and room was well kept. Breakfast was a 8.5/10. Would recommend this place again.
Chris
Was quite disappointed in the hotel room. Being a Marriott I expected more. A list of broken, missing, or not correct items were left with the front desk. Didn’t even have coffee for travelers unless bought at Starbucks. I shall not visit this Marriott in the future
Nice quiet area
Staff and maid service very professional!
The property was satisfactory for our one night stay.
Customer Service
Wife left a swimsuit in the closet when we checked out. We called the very same day. They delayed response a day and then didn't get back with us at all. we had to re-engage. they stated they didn't have it. Who would want a used swimsuit. Obviously they didn't even look. We even knew exactly where. No customer service for sure. No WIfi, No breakfast.
Floors in hall were filthy, sink in room didn’t drain well. Had to jiggle the handle on the toilet to get it to work. Worst of all the bathroom door would not close due to misaligned with door jam
Requested to be on the same floor as my attorney who checked in the night before. Front desk manager Victoria said she need to personally go up to check which room is available. I said please if it’s not too much trouble. She left without return. About 20 min later another staff came over and helped me checked in on the floor I requested without going up. Strange how she did it but the manager couldn’t
great stay
Our room was filthy. The on-site engineer (Carmen) was VERY accommodating when we reported the problems and she went far beyond taking care of the situation. She more than made up for the issues we had. If it had not been for the uncleanliness of our room and the initial nonchalant response from the desk clerk on duty at the time, I would never stay at a Marriott Courtyard again, but the situation was eventually addressed very professionally, so Marriott will get another chance. I should add that another desk clerk (at checkout) was very accommodating as well. Aside from the issues above, it would have been a perfect hotel for our visit to Tyler, TX.
Pool was out of order and this was not disclosed in the booking. We also booked 2 queens and sofa bed only to find out when we arrived that this is not an option they offer. We would’ve booked differently had these two things been disclosed.
Staff was great. Room was disgusting.
It was just ok. Wish there was coffee in the mornings. At 8am, bistro wasn’t open for morning snacks or coffee.
A minor issue with our room having electrical issues. Was immediately and that’s fine. But they wouldn’t even give us a bottle of water, even with the inconvenience and a Marriott Rewards member. Very chinchy and extremely poor taste. That lost sale of a $4 water is going to cost Marriott far more in future lost business.
Excellent customer service
Great staff
Couple Getaway
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a quick getaway. The room was quite and clean. The staff were very friendly. Only downfall, which was a big one, was the bed was super uncomfortable. The pillows weren't so hot either. Change out the bed and it would have been great.
Surly Staff - Not Even Coffee - Nothing
For the price, SUB-PAR. Not even coffee. Nothing. And surly staff. Will never return to the Courtyard by Marriott in Tyler - and doubt we'll EVER stay at another Courtyard anywhere.
No firm / foam pillows. Only soft pillows in the entire hotel. I did not sleep well.
