Fabulous hotel with aloof amenities. Pool, hot tub and the Atlantic ocean right at our door step. Restaurant and bar for meals as well.room was spacious and had a wonderful shower!

The room had no drawers. No housekeeping service. We had to request towels each day, and trash was never picked up. Advertised shuttle service anywhere on island, but would not answer phone when we needed to return. Elevator floors dirty.
Hotel was very clean., staff was friendly rooms where clean., only complaint is that., when balcony doors are open., can’t enjoy the sound of waves due to air conditioners noise..
Ocean front but ramp to beach was closed. Told it had been closed for repairs for 4 months. Why pay extra for beachfront if you can't access beach. Syairs were missing guardrail. Eating options limited

Monet at check-in was great!!! We’ve stayed here before and really enjoyed everything about this hotel - location on island, beachfront, comfort and amenities!!! Best bike riding island ever!!! Bikes rentals are included here!!! I hate giving away “best’ Evers (more people flock here - the island/hotel) but this is one of the best of the best!!!

Cleaning needs to be improved.
Room was comfortable, but it appeared they did not quite finish cleaning. There was a carpet spot cleaner spray container left next to a spot on the floor. The tile hallway and bathroom area had not been mopped and had sticky shoe prints. The showerhead was covered in black and green that I can only assume was mold and calcium build up. The bathroom did not have a fan, so it stayed very humid after showers. We have stayed at this located for the past 3 years this time of year for a cheer competition and this was the first year the cleanliness has come into question. Next year, I will probably try somewhere new on the island to stay.

Great Location and Amenities; Could Improve Staff
Lobby us really large and nice, felt more "upscale" than the price suggested. The beachside room was the perfect concept and up to date with great TV, balcony furniture, etc. However, there were 3 problems related to cleanliness. There were a couple strands of long hair in the shower when we arrived. There were bandages stuck over the light on the smoke alarm. I get the need, because I hate the bright lights on those things, but it was filthy looking with the bandages. There was one tiny (gallon sized) trash can in the bathroom, no others in the room. Most places we stay have 2 or 3 that are small but still 3 times the size of the one here. After a two-night stay, we had bagged trash stacked around it. The evening staff at the desk were very pleasant. The morning guy was disinterested and kind of a professional looking grouch.
LACK OF HOUSEKEEPING
Housekeeping was a problem. We were told that our room would be refreshed every 2 days. That never happened. We went to the front desk several times on day three and were promised, still no housekeeping personnel showed up. Housekeeping showed up on day four and we were checking out the next day. That was totally ridiculous.
We stayed for the weekend and loved our stay! Will definitely stay again if we come to Jekyll! The amenities offered was great as well as the complimentary bikes that was available to use each day! The only thing we experienced was our room door didn’t lock when we left out of the room…
We had an ocean front room, and the view qas beautiful. The hotel was spotless, including our room. Enjoyed it very much!

The property is pretty right on the beach, the beds are hard as rock and the pillows are completely flat. That alone would keep me from staying again, I’m sore all over and the terrible sleep plus a 5 hr drive home is just not going to cut it for me again. Food from the shore was fine, breakfast was non-existent, the one morning we tried to order something they were out of everything (this was very early in the morning also) so we had to leave the property for a decent breakfast. If you consider yourself a resort one should never have to leave the property.

We liked the beach and the property. Unfortunate for us we were unable to use the Bonvoy app. Without the app, the hotel offers no information, so I didn't know they don't make up the rooms everyday, which would not be such a problem if they tell you before hand. We ran out of towels and the one trash can in the room was so small we had no where to put any trash. There is no conccierge or tour info. The hotel food was not so good. The destination fee is quite confusing. It's a way of getting you to spend money at the hotel which is not so terrible, but I believe it's use is misleading in the literature.

This was our third time staying here and we were first given the wrong room that still had a couple staying in the room, when we got the correct room there seemed to be a strike from the cleaning crew and they refused to pick up dirty dishes that were left outside from the room next to us, then we were with our children and went down the next morning for breakfast and they had run out of French toast which was the only kid friendly breakfast meal. After cleaning our room to make sure we didn’t leave anything behind we discovered a dirty pillow case that was left behind the trash can.

Impeccable Service
Amazing views. Lovely room. Service was impeccable. We got engaged on the island on Oct 17, 2024. It will forever hold a special place in our hearts. See you all next fall.
Female bartender was rude, on her personal phone, counting her tips and ignored customers. Also resort fee was absurd.
We found this place to escape Hurricane Milton. It was amazing. Did friendly too!!! Lovely place to stay. The staff was wonderful. Great location. I highly recommend this property.

The property was very well-kept and close to the conference center. The bar and restaurant in the hotel were both excellent.
Kid & pup paradise but not so much for tranquility
The room was nothing spectacular but the ocean view and access to the beach was great. Of course that's why it cost what it did. Nothing else was anything other than ok or less. Dog pee on the elevator and hall carpet that was left, kids running and screaming at 10pm while I'm guessing the parents were at the bar. Basically there was a lot of unchecked, unruly young boys who should have been checked by hotel employees in my option. The Starbucks in the lobby was a joke. It took an hour to get a burrito that was missing 1/2 the listed ingredients and by what was left on other tables apparently it wasn't the only food failure. In general the help was less than friendly or didn't speak english. Not worth the price is the bottom line.

, We checked in got keys to our room and after a very long walk down two separate hallways all I wanted to do is sit on the balcony and stare at the ocean, staring since that’s what we paid for. Nope we opened blinds of a very hot room, air was off, we had a few of a parking lot. My husband and I immediately walked the long walk to elevator and back to lobby and was told they did not have available and had no others options but we would only be charged for the room we had. This would have been nice to have known ahead of time we could have booked another hotel but we just agreed with the new price and stayed. The hotel gave receipt after leaving and hotels.com was charged the corrected price.. unfortunately we still have not received a refund.
First time here with family and we had a wonderful time.
They are falsly advertising a “Parking Lot View” room as a room with a “view” on xpedia and other Apps - beware , horrible customer service when trying to get refund…BEWARE
I liked that there was bike rentals and a shuttle to take you places for free. I enjoyed the island itself and the hotel was very cute and put together. Staff was very friendly.
The Marriott front desk staff were absolutely wonderful. However - Patio seat cushions were ripped open. There was a chunk of scrap metal with screws through it on the patio floor. There was 1 tiny trash can for a junior suite that can sleep 6. Only 2 towels hidden in a closet not in the bathroom with no hooks to hang to dry. Starbucks staff were Marriott employees, and need to learn how to make coffee to order (an iced caramel breve latte is not an extreme order, and it was wrong twice so I just took it and drank it because) the customer service was terrible.
The hotel staff and service was unfortunately very poor. The cleanliness of the lobby was very unsatisfactory, especially dining because of the amount of flies that would be inside the lobby. The hotel employees unfortunately did not communicate well enough the hotel itself was two hotels in one and there were two separate breakfast areas, which did not make much sense. The employees of the Residence Inn were unbelievably rude and unprofessional in addressing guests. Would not recommend staying at this hotel.
First we get there and the air in the room wasn’t working. We payed for an ocean room view and we were put in a room that viewed the courtyard and a palm tree. Called down to the front desk and know one ever answered and then had to walk down to the front desk and changed rooms. Go up to the new room and the hallways were super hot and the ice machine wasn’t working. Then went down to the pool and there were no towels and was told they were on the way. Towels never showed and ended up walking through the hotel wet. Went to order dinner later that night and knowone would answer the phone and when they finally answered the stated they weren’t taking any more orders because they were busy and wanted to leave 30 minutes after they closed. This was 830 and they close at 9pm. Staff then advised me to just get something out of the the snack area in the lobby. Went to bed and the mattresses were like sleeping on the floor with wore out pillows. When I talked to the front desk about the ice machine not working I was advised to go to the other side of the hotel to get my own ice. The halls smelled due to the hotel having carpet with tons of pets running around. There were stains every where and you could see grease stains on our head board in our room. Finally had our fill and left the property Saturday at 6pm. Not a good customer experience at all. The staff was not very friendly and most were slippery dressed.
We loved our stay. The lawn games for the kids was a lot of fun. The pool was nice and beating able to walk from the pool to the beach was very nice. I just didn’t like the smell of the water in the showers.

Managed terrible. Never stay again nor would I recommend this property to anyone. If it is the fourth of July, as a manager I believe I could have done something for the guest, BBQ, DJ or band, pool stay open till Midnight. You did absolutely nothing and the breakfast arrangement for the Courtyard guest is next to nothing. If you are thinking about staying here, I would recommend looking elsewhere, there are places that actually do cater to there guest on this Island.

The hotel was wonderful. It was a very nice stay. The shuttle driver Liz was so kind and friendly just honestly a good heart person to talk to. The pool was amazing. The only issue was not getting towels for around the pool and when asking no one seemed to help but I used the ones from the room so it was fine. All in all it was a wonderful stay & would book with this hotel again.
It wasn’t awful. But I should have listened to the reviews. I thought I would give it a shot anyway. Paid the same as others and had a corner room. We could not open the window to see the view or all could see in. Broken Corn Hole. 1 towel for each person for two nights. M & M’s on the floor when we arrived to our room. Bed was awful. I never write bad reviews but this just ruined our weekend. Time and money wasted.
Jekyll Island is beautiful! This location isn’t old but it looks a little run down. It’s about 5 years and I remember when it first opened. It was sooo nice. Hopefully they can do some renovations soon! The staff is great though. Brenda was there when it first opened and I go the chance to see her during my last stay. She’s sooo sweet!

Phenomenal property. This was me and my partner’s first trip to Jekyll Island and the staff and property made the trip that much better. Gabrielle was our server everyday and she provided wonderful suggestions on things to do in the area and great service. Cris and Lexi at the bar were absolutely a pleasure to have and not to mention the drinks were A1. Only thing I didn’t care for was the room has very little to no drawer space. This was difficult seeing that we stayed for 3 days. Also the pillows were extremely thin making it uncomfortable to sleep. Requested more but was told the hotel was out of spare pillows which I can understand given the holiday weekend. Overall definitely recommend staying at this property when visiting Jekyll Island

Someone stole the caps off my tires while I was there. Dogs was uriinating on the floor in the lobby.

Weekend getaway
This was one our first stays at Marriott property and i think we had higher expectations. This was a beautiful property and kept very clean. Our only complaints were the fact that the only option for breakfast was a starbucks in the lobby. My coffee was next to cold 2 days in a row. No option for room service and we stayed for 4 nights and never had our room cleaned. We got fresh towels at the front desk.The staff was nice and helpful, but a little young to be able to recommend good places to eat. It was a nice place over all, but just thought it may be a little more elevated than it was.
Very disappointed. The room was decent. The screen was broken off the toilet seat was broken. Starbucks was only open from 7-10 am??????
the property, rooms were good. really nice place , most of the people we spoke with was very nice. when I did ask to see the manager on site about a small issue she wouldn't come out of her office to speak with me about some charges on my card. I thought that was pretty bad of her. we went to the onsite restaurant and never got waited on.
Love this property! Great and easy beach access
We traveled to Jekyll Island for a special anniversary. I searched for weeks to find the perfect room. We were very excited to enjoy our special time in our Oceanfront room, which we had reserved, and obviously paid for and expected. However, when we arrived, not more than an hour after check-in time, we were given a different room. I know from the pictures that we were given an ocean view room, which is a downgrade. Not only could we barely see the ocean over the Sand dunes and the trees, but our slider was broken and made the loudest, screeching noise , when opening and closing. Also, have no idea what the problem was but it smelled like swamp water in the bathroom and especially while showering. Immediately upon checking in I went to the front desk to say that we were not at all happy with our room, and it was not what we reserved. I was told with no apologies that there were no other rooms. We will definitely be thinking twice before booking with Marriott in the future.

We have stayed here many times. Overall, this property is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a resort-like Oceanside atmosphere.
This hotel is excellent for families! The pool & spa has a splash pad for little ones. There are fun booths in the cafe area with built-in TVs where our kids had breakfast and watched cartoons while we enjoyed coffee & the view. It rained our entire first afternoon and evening, but we enjoyed the live music, lounge/restaurant, and games so much that we weren't fazed by the bad weather.

This was my second time staying at this facility. I will have to say my first stay was better. Arrived and check in went quick and smooth. Amenities were explained well. Room was stale smelling when we walked in but aired out quickly. Shower pressure was not good this time. We called down on day two for towels and were told we had to come to the desk to get them. Waited a few hours to go to front desk to get towels (when we were on the way back from dinner) and were then told someone had to bring them to the room. Waited about 30 minutes. Biggest complaint was that the refrigerator in thw room is eco-friendly and cuts off after 2 hours. I was not aware of this and had sandwich meat in the fridge that didnt stay cold because of this. We had to throw it all away. Views from the room were beautiful!!! Bar staff was amazing!!
The hotel was beautiful and our room was wonderful. We loved the ocean view! The staff was not the most friendliest. The coffee shop employee seemed annoyed that we ordered coffee and the restaurant staff was mediocre. We were disappointed that the hot tub was not very warm even though the staff told us the temperature is usually around 102 degrees. The pool's heater was also broken though we did not plan to use the pool.

The room was fine, though I prefer a room with lights on both sides of the bed. I’ll need to look for those details more closely in the future. Appreciated the room frig. Didn’t get to use hot tub, but looked inviting. Great to see corn hole boards on the lawn.

All in all it's a nice hotel. A few things were surprising for the price point. Bathroom could have been cleaner, toilet paper holder falling off wall. Smoke detector flashes like a strobe light every 10 seconds making it hard to sleep. No real breakfast, just a little Starbucks you have to buy from after paying almost 400 a night. Restaurant food not good and we had to order our food "to go" after being told there were no tables to seat us at, even though there were empty tables everywhere. On a good note the room was comfortable and the view was beautiful. We go to Jekyll and St. Simons often, but won't choose this hotel again I am afraid. At the price we paid things should have been better.

Oh wow is this a great place! Amazing location right on the beach. Beautiful sunrise. Hotel is modern, bed super comfy. Service was great. Bikes to use. Pool and gym felt like it was as high end resort. A few spots could be a little cleaner like the fire pit furniture and the bar bathroom. Overall this is a super place to stay for a mellow beach getaway.
Carpets soiled with many dirty spots. No hand soap and hair on sink in bathroom. Lighting in sitting areas terrible. Bright lights over the bed??? Good things include beach location and Starbucks. Food disappointing for dinner and breakfast. Had to walk quarter of a mile to get to my room from elevator. Room had sound of water pouring down from ceiling at times. Constant Flashing smoke detector across from bed.

The mini fridge did not work. There is no microwave in the room. There was trash under the bed. The bartender kept waking past me taking to other customerswho already had drinks just completely ignoring me, untiI asked if they was closing or something. I’ve been to high end and low end hotels and never have I been to one without a complementary breakfast, this is a first. At almost 400$ a night you would think that was the least they could do.

Our room was very nice with easy access to parking. The coffee maker in the room was cheap and did not work well. Thankfully they had free coffee available in the store. The mini fridge was extemely small. The aim seemed to be to want you to eat in their restaurants. When we made our reservation, we were not told that there would be a $30/day “Destination Fee.” The good news is this could be used towards restaurant and store charges in hotel, but the bad news is it was deceptive not to make this clear before you paid for the hotel. This was Expedia’s fault per the hotel. Pool, beach access and entertainment amenities were good!
