Nice location but not my taste of stay

Nice property, pretty convenient close to airport, walk right into mall. Not as clean as comments i previously read and i only stayed 1 night to fly out early next day. The Moldy room smell was barely tolerable. Lucky it was just a little sleep and out!

Excellent for a short stay - modern practical convenient. On the downside not much of a breakfast option and although the room was as new and western standard there was no balcony and could not open window.

Great location close to the beach and restaurants. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. You have to take two elevators to stay in building two or three so I would recommend staying in building one. Not great pool area but the beach is close. Overall good value for the money

The only reason i gave stars to this place was for the operations manager, Cartoon and the front desk staff. The first two saved this hotel from a worse review. They were FANTASTIC. *warning.....do NOT rent a bike from the company working from these premises although not linked with cosi.

Rooms are ok. Walls are really thin.

The reception staff were great, very helpful and very kind. The activities & excursions staff that we used to rent a moped were unorganised, we paid a 5,000 Baht deposit instead of our passports. They lost the booking slip as well as the 5,000 Baht we paid, we eventually did get the 5,000 Baht back but it took well over an hour, they still hadn’t found the slip at this point, so if we would’ve used our passports as a deposit, the passports would have been lost. Great job to the staff that kindly resolved this for us.

A good value. Connected to Samui Central shopping mall. Many restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. A good place for younger partiers

Nous étions supposés avoir une chambre avec A/C mais elle est controlé par la centrale de l'hotel. Notre chambre était à 27... Le coffre de sécurité ne fonctionnait pas. Même après avoir été discuté à la réception de ces deux problèmes, aucun n'a été résolu. De plus, nous étions dans le dernier batiment à plus de 5 minutes de la réception. Nous n'avons pas eu le service espéré.

the common area

My initial impression was not positive, I changed rooms 3x before I was satisfied. The building is part of Central Festival mall and most windows on that side of the building have no privacy and the blinds need to be closed permanently. I finally switched to a room on the opposite side and was happy with that. If I was only there for a couple of days I probably would not have cared. My initial thought of the area was that it was too touristy, prices in the mall were expensive. Lots of restaurants in the area, but many were owned by the same owners so there was not a lot of variety and prices were the same everywhere. Staff everywhere were friendly and I enjoyed talking to everyone. Overall it was a great month in Samui.

Average stay - Budget Hotel get what you pay for.

Budget hotel so you get what you pay for. Main things to flag (i) no kettle or glasses/mugs in the bedroom (you even get this in a Travel Lodge so was expecting this as a basic) (ii) Weirdly the duvet was not prepared and was rolled into a bundle for us to make the bed (iii) There is no sound proofing so we could hear people coming and going and chatting loudly in the corridors. Fortunately for us this stopped around midnight but it could have made for a very bad nights sleep if you have the wrong neighbours!!! (IV) Room generally clean but clearly used and not kept to best standard (though this is to be expected of budget hotels).

Amazing place for me. In a great location. Nice selection of real food and waters/sodas/juices/coffe for sale 24/7. Stayed 4 nights, great experience. Easiest check in/check out ever. 24 hour front desk. I booked online through hotels.com. they sent 3 people a day (together) will clean your room in 2 minutes. Very attentive, but not invasive. All the staff, security, and taxi driver sitting outside all day and night. I had a great time. And EVERYTHING is right there. From the beach to shopping, to mini marts, to leg massages. I will def come back whenever in koh samui. Live music just outside the door, every night!! And they are so good. The staff was amazing!!

Overpriced Backpacker hotel. Don’t let the photos fool you. No chance of any sleep with the noisy hallways. Slamming doors, backpackers yelling and staff talking outside your room. Better and cheaper hotels close by. Stayed 1 night after paying for 5. Manager said no refund. Place is terrible

3/5 okay not great

The stay was okay - the cleaning was very rushed but we did fresh sheets every day and ‘fresh’ towels (although sometimes they were marked or torn). The pool was nice. The reception staff were always serving 3 or 4 people at once which was frustrating when trying to have your query dealt with, people just pushed in and started speaking to them. We also extended for one night and the hotel told us fine no issues just book online but the next day the cards locked us out of our room and the reception staff seemed so confused when I tried to explain. Overall a 3/5, okay but not amazing.

I found my stay average. The room was nothing special but clean and tidy (side table was dirty I had to clean it myself) but everything else was fine. Location of the room was bad, lower floor next to the mall carpark and very noisy. 10am-10pm Christmas carols coming through the door - you can imagine how grating that can be. It’s also on the pathway to the pool so lots of obnoxious guests coming past making noise - despite the small sign telling them to be courteous. I imagine staying here is better if you’re not located there. I overpaid being new years which probably added to my perception of average. Check in and out was easy and the women at the desk made it feel more personal than elsewhere by using my name etc. Prices of the snacks out front seemed reasonable for a hotel.

Staff are amazing! Great location. Can be noisy until 1am when live concerts are happening in town. Especially over Christmas week.

Expensive for bad hostel

It’s not a hotel. Hostel with private rooms. Right next to central shopping centre. Convenient location for food and shopping. But inconvenient for 24/7 loud noises and lack of privacy. If you’re on ground floor everybody in car parking can look in. The SMELLIEST in Samui. Damp/ sewage smell. It’s not just in the rooms. But in hallways as well. I think it’s the carpets. Need to be completely removed. Aired out, damp cleaned then new stone flooring. It was just unbearable. Can’t open windows on ground floor so I was suffocating. Staff are nice and helpful. Power outages all throughout the night. Shopping centre as well. Paper thin walls. Can hear every conversation.

Nice hotel

Convenient location and a decent room.

Good location. Shopping centre was right beside it so that made it convenient on a rainy day. Getting to Chaweng Beach was a little tricky. Because of a bit of a language issue, I wasn’t sure if I was allowed to just walk through another hotel across the street to get to the beach. That only made it a two-minute walk if I was allowed. I just went and did it instead of asking for permission. It would have been helpful if they had directions to the beach in English on a piece of paper. I would recommend this property with no hesitation. But the biggest drawback is how incredibly confusing the layout of the hotel is. Had to take an elevator to go downstairs, walk 20 metres to go to another building and then take another elevator up. Big tourist street right in front of hotel with pounding music but I couldn’t hear it in my room. Alll in all, very good value for the money

Comfortable room, clean, quiet and friendly staff

Cosi hotel (Hostel !!)...perfrct for a cheap stay , centrally based in Samui Mall. Free parking for mopeds, definitely need moped to explore island. Service by front of house is very limited and argumentative on each occasion. DONT bother paying extra for vouchers, too much hassle for them, computers down etc... Very unhelpful. I will pay the extra to stay somewhere that includes breakfast.

GREAT for the price!!

Always an amazing stay here at Cosi Samui. The front desk staff are super helpful and fun. The rooms are quiet,clean and beds very comfortable. Can book tours and scooter hire In reception at great prices. Also very convenient having an ATM inside the building. Easy decision to always stay here. Can walk to any of the beach hotels and use pools and the beautiful Chewang beach.

apart from the channel options not being great for tv, everything else was great. Staff was friendly and attentive. Hotel was in the heart of central Samui that had everything accessible around it.

Eclectic hotel right in the heart of things but quiet at night. I give it high ratings for being funky, new, creative, clever, and fun. The staff are awesome. Stay here and have some unusual fun!

The name says it all, its a good play to stay in, clean, modern and well located, this place takes it to another level with the friendlyness and kindness of their staff. Thank you Plern and the while staff for making my friend ans I feel at home and well taken care of 🙏🙂

Excellent off beach location. Rooms are modern and good value for the price. A bit over a block from all the night life so it’s quiet.

New hotel and good are

The rooms were really nice and modern, free water everyday. Warm showers and good Wi-Fi. Nice rooftop pool and location is great! The staff are so friendly and always greet you with a smile especially Joy on reception, she made us feel so welcome! The lady who also runs the tour booking office is also lovely, please book a tour through her she helps so much! We enjoyed cosi so much we came back twice 😊

Do not stay here. Here are a few reasons why: some rooms are outside and the hotel is attached to a mall and the rooms back onto the parking lot, so you can imagine the noise generated from that. Especially the parking lot with vehicles starting, horns honking, engines revving etc. The staff are rude and unhelpful. The layout of the hotel is like a labyrinth and super inconvenient and confusing (the main level is actually on the 3rd floor, there are 3 buildings and they all have messed up floor numbering systems). The hotel itself is noisy; as I write this I can hear even the flip flops and conversations of people walking by the room. At night you can hear music/bass as well. The room is small...or dare I say...”cosy”. While we were there the elevator also was out of order. They have smart TV’s but are not iOS capable which was a let down. If you decide you do (foolishly) want to stay here, here are a few pros: the rooms are clean (some of the cleanest we have stayed in on our 3 week trip around Thailand). The bed is comfy and the room has good blackout curtains. Central location. Pool is nice. This hotel came recommended to us and sadly I cannot pass the recommendation on. We have stayed in many hotels and this is BY FAR our least favourite. We also went on a tour and met people who stayed in this hotel on their vacation, they also hated it, got lost in it, checked out and went to another hotel. So we clearly weren’t just a one off. Avoid Cosi.

I fell in my room and had to go to the hospital. The staff was absolutely amazing. They coordinated everything and stayed with me there. I was traveling alone and don’t know how I could have made it without them. I wish I could remember names to thank them individually. Everyone was so kind and helpful to me and went beyond expectations. Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart.

Disappointed

I stayed at COSI because was very recommend. The only thing I liked is that is the design. The room had a strong smell to humidity, the shower had some hairs, I was there for 3 nights and just got the bed done one time, not a room cleaning, they supposed to let pool towels in the room, I didn’t have them so I asked for it, never got them. The guy at the reception was very kind Noisy at night. I will not stay there again. I reader pick one on the front beach so I don’t have to fight every day to get to the beach as the Garda from the hotels don’t let you pass and there isn’t a public access

The service was excellent, they are really understandfull, they clean thé room from the morning, untill the afternoon, so you have more Time to sleep.

Amazing modern hotel. Perfect location, close to the beach & main strip. Very secure, 24 hour reception & security. Bed very comfortable & shower is powerful. If we visited Koh Samui again we would definitely stay here! Staff are friendly.

Location is our first concern. COSI "s location is excellent in our opion. The only thing I suugest is to add more lighting in the room.

Convenient, funky and i love my stay here!

Great location, nice decor and comfortable stay. The”chill zone” Is an area where guests can sit around, relax or do some work on laptop. Breakfast vouchers worth thb 100 Are given out each day. Pay for any extras. This is a nice idea . No point having full breakfast dining area in a hotel . Pick and choose or even take away when i was in a rush. Mall next door has many food options. Taxis are abundant at mall. Safe place to be based in. In room toiletries not provided but i am happy with hairdryer.

Good stay

We stayed there for one night to catch the flight to BKK the next morning. The area is quite touristy - thus very convenient for shopping but lacking island character. The hotel was modern, clean and functional. We stayed in building 3 which was a bit of walk. We didn't mind it because we were there for one night. We loved the laundry service in the hotel. Also, the breakfast coupon was genius - no wasted food!

Modern hotel in Chaweng

Very new and tech friendly hotel in the heart of Chaweng , close to everything you need for your stay in Samui ... 200baht a day voucher was a pleasant surprise , rooms are a little small , but very comfortable

Great value for money - will go back again!

Great value for money - very clean room with comfy bed. You can download an app for door key and to call reception (optional), I downloaded it, didn't need to use it afterall. However, I thought smart hotel was a nice idea. You can tell all the beddings are brand new and hasn't been used for that long, I asked the hotel staff and turns out the hotel has only been opened for 6 months so that makes sense. The hotel also has a nice pool, laundry machines and located side by side to Central Festival which is a big mall where there are shops, Boots, restaurants. Interacted with front desk a few times and they were helpful and nice. Will go back next time, no doubt!

We had a great time at COSI and the staff are very friendly, beer is one of the staff who was very friendly and helpful , she went out of her way just to give us the perfect experince ever . Thank you beer for ur great effort . I highly recommend this hotel.

Sleek new hotel at the center of the action

COSI was an amazing place to stay if you’re looking for something right at the center of town with all the hustle and bustle. Rooms new, sleek and well organized. Staff are helpful and we received 200BHT guest at check in for food. If you’re not looking for a resort and want the best bang for your buck this is the place.

Such a good location, and tons of security!! The rooms were very mondern, which was super cool. AC worked amazingly and breakfast was great. The pool was a little weird tho.. bean bag chairs and no lounge chairs. This was our favourite hotel in Thailand.

conveniently located, good vibe hotel.

You really cannot go wrong with this hotel in terms of location and convenience. Its right at the middle of all the action is at Chaweng. Supermarket, nightmarkets right at the foodstep. Although its at the middle of all action, its surprisingly relatively quiet also as its at the back of a shopping mall. Yes there is no view whatsoever from your room. For me as example, my rooms view was looking at malls public toilet. if you want beach view, go somewhere else. The vibe of this hotel also good too. it gives you freedom. The common area on top of the cafe was good to relax and just sit around, chatting to new friends. There isn't much hotel service either, but being focus at young people, we can help ourselves!

New, clean, comfy and hip

Lovely staff. Clean very updated rooms. Small but very functional. 5 mins to Chaweng Beach. Loads of restaurants, shops nearby. Large mall right next door with a Starbucks 30 seconds front front entry of hotel. Great social hub area and pool area! Great value!

Nice clean, new hotel 5 mins from beach

Rooms are small but nicely decorated and very clean and new in appearance. Air conditioner was working well. Duvets on beds. 200 baht per person to spend on food was really nice touch. Staff were all excellent. Excellent value with excellent price point. The pool area and “social hub” were excellent places to relax and very well decorated. Has a young vibe to it. Mostly young people but older people in the mix staying here too. Highly recommend!

Just got back from there and my husband and I found the rooms very small. Not a lot of seats for the pool. Very small area for pool area. Ok location Took a long time to check in.

this area of the island is bussy and loud , if you are looking for something more laidback , try looking in another area , once modern new hotel . staff seem not to intrested in the guests , the pool is great , how ever the hotel itself is right behind a big shopping mall and most of the rooms have a view of a parking garage

Very noisy hotel

Hotel is brand new in the centre of everything you need but it's so noisy. Builders next door making a lot of noise at 1 a.m. you can hear all noises from the corridor. I didn't get a good night's rest for 6 nights. Also they are 3 buildings. I had to get a lift down, walk to building 2 and then a lift again to my floor. Very inconvenient. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in great location, it's in the same complex as a new mall, and with in easy walking distance of the beach and all the main town areas. It's a new property so the rooms are all in great shape. The staff is helpful and you get a breakfast credit every morning from their cafe which is good for a breakfast sandwich, or croissant and a coffee too. A great value!

Good value in Chaweng Beach

We did not end up staying here. We arrived and checked in and the process was smooth, but it was a very far walk to the room (we were placed in the 3rd building all the way at the back. Its quite a walk and you need your room key to access all the elevators as well as the doors in between buildings, which is annoying. Once we got the room we realized it was the wrong room (2 twin beds instead of 1 king). So we had to walk all the way back with heavy bags and do the whole thing over again. The room was clean but small and since we did not end up liking the area of Chaweng we decided to move hotels and go stay on a resort. Good value for what you pay if you want to stay in Chaweng. Just not what we were looking for.

Modern hotel, good location

Hotel was very modern and stylish. Rooms were very clean! The staff were very friendly and went out their way to make sure you were happy. It's located right in the town of Chaweng and a 5 min walk to the beach. Only issues were that the breakfast selection is not great. Only pastry and cereal. Also the electricity was out for a full day bit this was not hotels fault it's due to the awful wiring around Chaweng. We were bitten a lot in our room which wasn't great and there is nowhere to sunbathe at the pool as the seating areais covered by a roof. But over all it was a great hotel and I would stay again!

Small,but comfortable and clean

It was very nice,very modernized decor in our room.It was smaller that I expected.I stayed for two nights,and it’s clean and comfortable compared to other places I’ve stayed in Thailand.It is close to the strip,stores and restaurants.The only thing I disliked was the structure of the separate buildings and getting lost going in and out.Although I did feel very safe there,it is nice to be close to everything.

reach hotel around 22.00pm service counter ask me to payment for hotel fees ,I told them already to payment (shown them my message for master card payment)but their system shown I didn't pay....take around 15min ...angry ask for check in next morning I call expedia answer wait.....final one staff walk to counter say already pay.

ideal location

everything is good except there is no kettle in the room, situated at an ideal location for shopping, night life as well as walking distance to the beach. Just ideal for a family short holidays.

Loved our stay

We loved this hotel, the concept of it is great. Hotel staff all really friendly and helpful. Rooms are a good size and modern. The breakfast set up was great i thought, 200 baht coupon to use per person oer day. The hotel is just behind the Central Festival butyou dont get the noise from there or the main street which is good. The pool is lovely too, infinity pool with chill out beanbags. Will return without a doubt.
